Oh and I'm not saying that Ava will NEVER end up having sex or be in a relationship/love - BUT I don't think we'll see Ava having sex as a prostitute or anytime soon.

I really don't think the writers were sitting down and thinking "Hmmm, we really need Leven to do sex scenes, but since Lily really can't right now, let's create this older sister so we can get Leven NAKED!" -- NO WAY. Give them a little more credit than that - PLEASE.

What I am saying is a 16 year old has no business doing a love scene or even kissing a grown ass man! It's kind of sick. Brandon Buddy who plays Cole on OLTL is 21 and Kristen who plays star is 15. That's not cool. Jeff Branson nor Aiden Turner should be a romantic interest for this 16 year old.

Mine looked weird. It said:

Written By:

Amanda Beall

Rebecca Taylor

But - that was in the middle of the screen - with all this random space on the bottom half of the screen. It looked like Friday's (with 2 BD's and 1 Script) except there was no script writer on the bottom today.

Since Beall rarely script-writes anymore, maybe they just placed it weird (looked the same way on my screen).

After the last year and half, that conversation seems out there to you? That is exactly what I imagine it to be along the line of, yep. Why should I give any of them credit? What have they done with other high playing storylines to earn that credit? They've messed up all be oh, lets see, Zendall over the last year. What makes you think this is going to be any different? Why are they going to get it right, not go for plot point, and why are they going to wait to have Levin in love scenes (with Aidan or Jon, or whatever), when they brought her on playing a second character who is a prostitute?

And I agree - I wouldn't want my 16 year old with a guy who is in their late 20's. But on the show - Lily is 18 and so that means Ava is at least 20 or older. Also, after watching today's episode - I HIGHLY doubt that Aiden will be linked romantically with Ava. I can't tell nor do I know from spoilers if Jonathan will be linked to Ava romantically - or if anything there will happen...but aren't you all jumping the gun with this whole argument of "this is nasty, I can't believe a 16 year old will be having sex with 20-something year olds!"

I thought she was brought on to be Aidens romantic interest. Isn't he supposed to fall in love with her?

Haha - well I haven't read that anywhere - maybe someone else can confirm - but I really don't think so. Many have stated that they wouldn't mind Aiden/Ava bc Leven and Aiden work well together, but I don't think anyone knows bc not many spoilers about Ava have been released. Just rumors that it might be Aiden/Ava/Di triangle (only bc Aiden found Ava and she immediately kissed him...which I personally think might just be a one-time thing) - and then they assume Jonathan and Ava will get together just so McT can have Leven be with Jonathan since Lily didn't work out. But McT is leaving - so maybe/hopefully those rumors don't come true.

Yes, if someone can confirm that for me. I could have sworn, I saw it in the spoilers. If not, oops. Hopefully, the new writers will scrap the character totally.

It's sorta like with Zarf. AMC wants to have their cake, and eat it too. The lesbian gets love, but with a biological male. This is the same thing. Levin is insanely popular. If they don't use her, they're going to lose her. Lily has run her course, in terms of generating her own drama. She can't be in a relationship as it showed, that goes past kissing. What better way to keep Levin, spice things up, and not have to get rid of Lily.

It's all them trying to cut corners rather then actually have to write.

No spoiler actually said he would be Ava's romantic interest, they just said that he'd interact with Ava when she first arrives on the scene.

Oh I'm not saying that isn't probably true to some extent - after their comments on Dixie, I'm not naive to the fact they probably ran out of good ideas for Lily. But I don't think they thought "Hmm, we need Leven to have sex and spice up our screens, so lets bring on Ava so she can have sex with Aiden and Jonathan." Which is what you were pretty much saying.

Plus, we've only seen 1 full day of Ava. Who knows, with the new writing team - they may take this and make a good story out of it. Obviously Denny and Laurel had another daughter, and obviously her parents are dead, so Ava has no family - so it isn't unrealistic for her to be hungry and homeless in a large city. So I'm looking forward to see how they write this whole long-lost sister thing and the interactions between Lily/Ava. We could get some great stuff out of this, or some bad stuff. With a new writing team coming, you can't really jump the gun and assume that it'll suck.

My thing is, storyline or not, common sense tell me Leven is leaving when her contract is up (that would be in early 2008, I assume) - without a doubt. The girl is ambitious and she has interest in her.

Good for her. I just hope this Ava thing doesnt' turn out as bad as I'm enivsioning it and that causes her to be let go or want out before then. :( I'm not a big Lily fan, but Leven is amazingly talented, and I want more then anything for the new HW/s to get to write for her. :)

The show could have continued writing for Lily (...started writing for her more), especially with new writers. It kind of makes me think-twice that they're still going ahead with this (Ava, the identical half-sister) with new writers. Lily could have moved into a dorm for college (or rented a room with a few friends she made on campus) and young love and young college girl problems, etc... No matter what they do (Ava the hooker, Lily), Leven doesn't strike me as a girl who is staying beyond one contract so it would have been nice if they continued with Lily and tried to get creative with that character.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens now, new writers and all. It's not a total lost cause.
