Well its funny, cuz when I lived in NYC, I sold the very clothes that BCF sells in it stores to its various buyers. Now I'm working at an actual BCF managing 50+ employees.

And yet, I only get a 10% discount. What the hell is THAT?

wow 50 employees that is something...10% discount is very cheap. But, when I go to NYC, I tend to shop at the expensive places since I barely go there, being a 5 hour plane ride away ;)

but shopping in San Francisco is always fun and that is just a 40 minute train ride away :)

I am such a night owl.

At times, I can stay up until 5 am and still wake up at 9 am and go to class and stay up until 5 am the next day.

Sometimes, I can stay up until 3 am and sleep until 3 pm. And then go back to bed at 3 am.

Last night, however, I couldn't go to sleep. I tried, but my body was flowing with adrenaline. So I just got up, took a shower, changed clothes, and I've been on here ever since.

One of my best friends at work is going through a tough time. People are playing politics in his department and he's now been demoted to a lower position, having to take orders from someone who isn't qualified to wipe his ass.....<_<

I swear sometimes I don't know why we even work for government. So much backstabbing and bullshit.

    • Ashley just wants to schtup Andre. She needed to create a big meltdown in order to get rid of Derek and feel no guilt. Doug needed to lay Joey out on the floor. He needs to get some courage and beat Joey down to the ground. Kat turning down a date with Tomas to see if Eva was locked up is a sign she's going to lose him. Even without Eva in the picture she was going to have problems. The way she talked to him when he bumped into her and she didn't know it was him seemed to be a red flag too. Leslie has revealed a whole lot of the truth on her own. Without her making all those comments to Kat she wouldn't have ended up at the police station.

) Anyways... I did really feel disgusted by Eurovision this year and I doubt I'll watch this horrific musical torture in the future. My ears and my psyche will not survive.
    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
