I'm going job hunting very soon, which means I'll have to take a drug test. Tonight, I was at a friends house and she smoked pot right next to me. She offered some to me, but I told her no... I can't smoke, because I'll be taking drug tests soon. I didn't even think about inhaling the second-hand smoke from the fatty she was puffing on, LoL but I inhaled... some. Not alot, but some. Can that show up on the drug test?

No, I wouldn't worry about it. The traces of it are so small, if any, that they'd be gone in a couple of days anyway. Drinking lots of water always helps. Of course, at this point, people are asking me what the blood level is in my THC system, LOL

But seriously, it is legal for employers to do drug test? Different cultures I guess.

CSW, I guess it's a Canadian thing to be surprised about the drug tests. I have never heard of such a thing being expected here in Ontario.

It all depends on the company. When I worked as a Manager at Sams Club for five years they were hardcore about it and fired you on the spot had they decided to randomly test you.

At my last job in corporate fashion sales, they actually encouraged it

Virtually everyplace around here requires that you take a drug test before they hire you.

My friend Tonya had to take one the other day, but she's a huge pothead and so she had to use someone else's piss. She put the urine in the microwave to warm it up, then put it inside a condom. Apparently, she warmed the piss up too hot, because as soon as she got to the office, the condom busted and the urine went all over her, LoL! She had to tell the doctor that she had a little accident.

I'm too much of a !@#$%^&*] to use someone else's pee, though. I'm so afraid I'd get caught.

Where I work(ed), they only required you to take one drug test during the hiring process, and the only time you had to take one after that is if they had 'reasonable suspicion' that you needed another.

I don't have drug tests, but I do have credit checks all the time. Plus I get FBI checks all the time. THe security and risk department check often to see if we have been arrested and or convicted of a felony and we have to have our fingerprints on file. I work with a lot of money a day, well over millions of dollars so basically every move we make is monitored.
