I edited the topic title! Yes Justin and Alexa are rumored to be leaving and wanting to move to LA when their contracts expire.

Erin Hershery Presley has been tossed around as a recast Babe! I don't see them recasting Jamie though.

I hate all this snobbery with young actors who just use soaps as a stepping stone, a steady paycheck whilst they whore themselves out at the latest premieres and get themselves some exposure, and then they turn their back on the shows that give them their big breaks, for what, a couple of bit parts on CSI, ER, etc. They should realize that only a select few soap stars strike it big, and as much as I love Alexa and Justin, neither of them have that star potential to strike it big in prime time. They should be grateful for their soap stardom.

I think at this point if Alexa is leaving then Babe needs to go off screen as well. Alexa is Babe and I see no reason to recast the role. They need to wait for Alexa to comeback. I think they should just have Babe go over to the Lake house JR gave her and have her take Little Adam with her and Little Adam can stay there until he needs to be sorased to give his father hell.

I don't want Erin Presley anywhere near Babe. EHP can't act. Kelly Monaco used to shred her in scenes on PC. Erin Hershey makes Kelly Monaco look like Erika frikin' Slezak. She was such a dragging bore as Alision Barrington and I watched that show for 5 years and she sucked during all of it.

Jaime can be recasted. Justin is already the 7th Jaime as it is.

I don't think that's fair. I think they should atleast be able to try different things even the wonderful Cady McClain and Micheal E. Knight have walked away from the show before. I don't see what's so bad in spreading ones wings and trying different stuff. Steve Burton, Josh Duhmel, Sarah Michelle Geller have all done different things and experienced different stuff. I don't think that makes them any horriable as people just because they "walked away from soaps"

Why do either need to be recast? PV will be much better place without Babe Carey Chandler. I won't miss her, in the slighest. And Alexa hasn't been the powerhouse she was during the babyswap in a long, long time. So both can go, I'd not blink.

I saw her for five long years and was never impressed. She did nothing and was more or less just a monotoned, santimonious valley girl who over pronunciated and dragged out her words more then anything else. Oh yeah and she whispered alot. That annoyed me. Oh the whispering. :rolleyes:

I agree Kelly was way better on PC but again I wouldn't consider her the next Bette Davis or Vivian Leigh, my point was more or less Erin was so bad that she made Kelly look like a larger then life iconic actress and that just isn't the case.

Alexa is Babe and she IMO is a much stronger actress. Much better then Erin who can't seem to land a stable job since PC ended.

      . This show is so stupid. Sonny killed an FBI agent less than a year ago by shooting him at point blank range. But the new short bald man is much much worse cause he was a bad guy in some part of Africa and managed to not kill Lucky, Isaiah, Jason, or Anna. This show is crippled by the mob all these years after Guza has been long gone.    Laura is literally saying oooo but Sonny is a good mobster for Port Charles. Give me a [!@#$%^&*].ing break. Sometimes I don’t know why I watch this joke of a show.

      With all the changes Sunny was one of the longest running characters by that time.  She had never been married and had heaps of story potential. I can see America getting with SFT -you know 'the circus soap'. Smart move because circuses were all the rage with the kids in the 80's. Maybe Stu and Jo could have bought the circus.

      It is actually pathetic, that Victor’s 50 year old children are still written as scared of this man that has to sit in every scene. I get it, EB has been on the show for almost 50 years, but I don’t care. He’s a man in his 80’s and should not be the damn lead and driving force because you don’t want to upset Eric Braeden ‘s fragile ego that only exists because the writers have cowtowed to this man for so long.

      PREACH Victor being written as he was 20 years ago to support EB's ego or some misguided belief that what worked decades ago is still relevant is destroying the show. Victor comes off as a rambling old fool holding on to vendettas and a desperate need for perceived power. His children still cow-towing to him makes them look equally foolish. If the writing portrayed Victor as  more of an irritant to them then maybe it would work.

      They desperately need another meeting spot that isn’t Orphy Genes or the Country club. Y&R is awful now but there’s at least GCAC, Crimson Lights, Society, and the Jazz room at GCAC to meet at. 4 places is definitely better than 2 and I can’t imagine these rich folks literally only eat at their damn country club.

      I support all of this. 80 year old Victor reading lines off the table or teleprompter until it’s time to yell at someone and still being the main man driving story on the show is absolutely ridiculous to me and one of the biggest issues with the show. I respect Braeden for wanting to keep working in his old age is great and all, but WHY IS HE THE LEAD?

      I believe they said 27 sets. We have not seen that many maybe around 20. Perhaps they meant they have space for that number. I would like to see another meeting place -maybe a restaurant that could fit in b/w Orphy's and the Country Club. Casual but classy. Jacob/Naomi need a living room and it would be good if Vern/Anita had a smaller study/library so they're not always in the same room. I guess budget plays a part. For example, maybe the plan is for Jacob/Naomi to get a home down the track when they become more prominent. I really hope that outdoor sets come into use. A terrace at the Country Club or a few shopfronts-a park maybe. Speculation re June. I would go with a Hayley connection as she needs something else to do apart from whining to Bill. June could  provide some conflict cos I don't see Bill being that interested in having her around. He could try to buy her off, upsetting Hayley or she could overhear/uncover some dirt on Bill so he's forced to keep her around. The parents of Tyrell/Samantha can be held for down the track along with the mystery of Andre's parents. The advantage of a new show is that there is so much from character's pasts that can be used. An ex for Vernon or Anita and various relatives to come out of the woodwork.

      I hear what you are saying, but I feel there is definitely an opportunity for improvement. If the set problem is to remain, then the whole focus has to change. Business has to take a back seat if there are no sets available to support story. As I have said before return to Jabot and have a number of characters working and interacting there. They seem super reluctant to do it but Victor needs to be a more supporting character.  Eric Braeden seems determined to carry on and that is of course admirable,but keeping Victor as this dominating force has been detrimental. Have a sweet reunion of Sharon and Nick and marry them off for good. Bring on Faith and I'd even have Adamson back as Noah at this point to support Nick/Sharon in a parenting role. They really need to bite the bullet and drop one of the following -Billy, Chelsea, Phyllis or make them recurring like Abby/Ashley with appearances or short term stories when appropriate. Free up some space for new or returning characters- Noah, Allie, Fen, Moses,even a recast Dylan.

      Today was really boring. I get we needed to have Martin accepting Eva but man I needed some Leslie today. Anita being hung up on was intriguing though.
