also loved the final scene with Max and Mimi.I dont want to see him with abby tho..dont like his character and dont see any spark there.

Loved the willow scenes today..she did a good job when she talked to Jed(who cant act at all)

good abby/nick scenes..I love their realationship.

what else? was bored with the Lumi/EJ scenes and S&K - as usual.

I might be in the minority on this one but I don't mind the understated exits that have been happening, onscreen, in Days lately because at least they are leaving the door open for most of the characters to return to Salem someday and they won't have to bring anyone back from the dead to do it.

I mentioned the onscreen exits as understated but at least the actors are given a sweet off-screen party.

I've seen worse. On AMC they didn't even give Brooke English, after nearly 30 years, an exit SCENE much less an exit story line. Goodbye party? Forget about it! From what I understand most of the cast and crew didn't even know that was her last day. Heck, I'm not sure SHE even knew it. It sounded like she found out later when she didn't get any more scripts. I guess AMC took enough flack for mishandling the situation that they are going to bring her back for a stint but I don't expect to do more than exit her out properly.

I think in Mimi's case it would have made more sense for her to just disappear without being mentioned again. She could have gone to visit Connor or something, and that's it. It's wierd that they built this whole story for Bonnie and Mimi to leave, especially since Mimi killing her father and Bonnie taking responsibilty for it could have been interesting. I really hope that Victor paying Bonnie's bail has something to do with the Philmi baby. Best case scenario for me would be if Victor decides that Philip isn't worthy to be his hier and he raises the baby as his replacement. I'd love to see a Kiriakis family feud.

I really liked Steve and Kayla's scenes - they were well written and beautiful acted. You could tell it was killing Kayla to have to turn Steve in, but she knew she had to. I always like S/K's scenes in isolation, but in the context of the whole show and their SL I have major problems. We should have seen all the fallout from the kidney removal - John brought to the hospital, Kayla explaining to the police what happened, Marlena's reaction. Everyone in Salem should be talking about this.

The actor who plays Jed cannot act at all. I can't understand why Willow's brother needs to be here. I'm loving her craziness right now, but she needs to be better developed as a character and as part of Salem before her family is brought in.

Abby bores me. They need to have her do something besides obsessing over Max.

I love EJ and Sami - I don't want them as a couple after all that's happened, but they have great chemistry and I enjoy them as enemies. I need the EJ/Sami/Lucas story to move, though. They've been having the same conversations for too long, and I'm tired of Sami being blackmailed...she should just tell the truth already and let the chips fall where they may.

    • Eeek. I didn't know this either! I will say, though, even though they skimmed over a lot of Roger's past, I will give them props for not trying to turn him into a hero. Yeah, I was hoping we would get more 1986 episodes than were available on YT before, but now I'm wondering if I really want to see that.
    • That's what Julie Hanan Carruthers is doing for BTG at the new studio in Atlanta, but JHC is credited. And @errol said JHC is working in a nonproduction capacity at Y&R.
    • I remember when the whole Missy Reeves controversy started in 2012.  She tweeted support of a business that had made homophobic statements. Greg Rikaart (who was on Y&R back then) publicly called her out on it, but was willing to reach out and speak with her. Article here: https://greginhollywood.com/greg-rikaart-talks-about-his-twitter-war-with-fellow-soap-star-melissa-reeves-over-anti-gay-chick-fil-a-73139 That being said, ten years later, on DAYS, in 2022, when they had they double wedding of Leo/CraigWesley and Gwen/Xander, Jack and Jennifer came to the wedding.  At that time, Missy Reeves was only intermittently available for DAYS. Jennifer was living "in Boston" and Cady McClain and Missy were each intermittently appearing as Jennifer, on the specific occasions when the show required a Jennifer to appear. Missy wasn't on contract and she could have said no. But she chose to appear as Jennifer for the gay wedding of Greg Rikaart's character.   So... I mean... I would assume they reached a détente behind-the-scenes. Missy still has her belief system but there's that.
    • That was one of the best grandslam finals.  Alcaraz comes all the way back down 2 sets to 0, and three match points in the 3rd set, to win it in a 5th set tie-break.  And the quality of play was excellent - so many great shots.  What a battle!
    • Indeed. I may try to watch it in full sometime, but not anytime soon... Mark played Sean Baxter for a few episodes when Courtney married Andy. Burke was either on Broadway or at OLTL at that time, I suppose.
    • Well, Josh was a horndog. LOL Yep. It was one of the first really weird things Reva did with her PPD. She became obsessed with the idea that Dylan and Sam should get married. Sam was only 17, and needed her parent's permission. Reva helped them leave town so they could go to a neighboring state where Sam was old enough. Ross, Billy and Josh stopped them, then Sam went to India to try and persaude Justin. Reva followed her and didn't tell Josh she was going. While Reva was gone, Josh advertised for nannies, and Harley applied. He ended up hiring someone else. But when Reva returned, she hired Harley because (in her weird mental state) she wanted someone she could trust with the kids (because she feared Josh was trying to get rid of her and that Vanessa wanted the children.). After Reva starts treatment, she asks Harley to stay until she's stronger because she's good with the kids. At the party, Reva starts going off the rails, insulting Justin and Josh hauls her to a private dining room to ask WTF. Reva starts confronting him about the "affair" with Vanessa, and he realizes she is weird. He locks her in the dining room and frees Mindy and Van from the ladies room (where Reva has locked them in). Van starts telling him that Reva attacked her and needs help.  Reva escapes out the window of the dining room and goes back to the party, climbs onto a table and starts a striptease. Josh gets her to stop, takes her home and after filling Ed in, decides to go to the doctor the next day. Reva then takes off and spends days running around town, coming on to a guy she thinks is Billy, Billy, Hamp, Frank and Roger.  Roger takes her to his apartment and takes nude pictures of her, which he tries to blackmail Billy with. He wants the deed to the land the Towers is on in exchange for them. (Billy had been left the deed by a sweet old lady who lost her home in the 5th street fire. Roger had stolen the deed from her before she died. After Roger took those pics of Reva, she saw him hide them, and took an envelope from the hiding place. She didn't realize she'd taken the deed and not the pictures.)  Anyway, Billy and Vanessa trick Roger into burning the pictures, claim the deed and at the Towers opening reveal that Billy owns the land and therefore the Towers. That's what led to Roger and Alex's breakup and Roger and Mindy's affair. Mark Lewis was on ATWT? 1986 is not a good year, storywise. No bueno. Muy no bueno.
    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
