Kim Zimmer did not kill Santa Barbara, NBC KILLED Santa Barbara. The show changed dramatically without A Martinez and Marcy Walker, but it was still enjoyable. I always had hope that they would one day return. Unfortunately, they never had the opportunity to come back. After the Dobsons were reinstated at SB that was the final nail in the shows coffin.

Get real. Are you [!@#$%^&*] kidding me with this post? A left a mere 6 months before SB ended its run. And the Dobsons being reinstated was not a nail at all. The Dobsons were always a godsend, even in their second run IMO. Kim Zimmer, Eileen Davidson, Pamela K. Long, and Paul Roach killed Santa Barbara. Mark My words.

Yes, NBC & New World had their hand in killing it (locking the Dobsons out of the studio) but those 4 were instrumental in the death of my beloved Santa Barbara.

Probably- u talked a bunch of crap when we found out she was Marcy Smith and working as a youth minister. But who am I to talk? I bashed Eileen in this thread- hell, I do it every week on the SB radio show as well!

Ha, well I finally did warm up to her during the second 1/2 of her DAYS stint and REALLY loved her on Y&R. But on Santa Barbara, she was god-awful and hideously unattractive, with the eyebrows(!) and the sweating...

When I see SB, I think of Sunset Beach, sorry! Or SuBe! What the hell! So, SaBa is Santa Barbara!

I think you misunderstood me. I loved the Dobsons and thought they were amazing. When they won the court battle against NBC that was the end for the show. NBC had an axe to grind after that. I loved Santa Barbara more than any soap I have ever watched and I would never bash the Dobsons.

I totally misunderstood you- thanks so much for clarifying. Sorry I went off, I get a little nutty when it comes to SB (that means Santa Barbara, fools!). OK, so I get A LOT nutty.
