February 10, 200718 yr Member BOUT DAMN TIME!! LOL!!!!!! Right on Mitch! LOVE Kayla standing up for Steve to that bastard, there is such a protectiveness to her actions that I am just loving lately! Agreed. I just LOVED LOVED this scene when I saw it. Kayla slapping EJ and threatening him was just GREAT....totally needed too. I was waiting to see her react to him and what he did to Steve. EJ basically helped steal YEARS of S&K life together, if I were her he would probably had ended up at the bottom of a lake by now!http://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/index.php?showtopic=15775&st=0&gopid=366641&# Complete Edit This storyline ROCKS...I am just LOVING every moment of EJ and S&K!! I'm actually enjoying the whole show again. It's must-see tv for me. SO happy Nichols/Evans are back on DAYS (where they belong!!!!) I am disgusted you responded to me!! LOSER! February 11, 200718 yr Member I have to agree with Drew...where was this Kayla? I hope she give EJ many more open handed smacks in the face
February 11, 200718 yr Member It's shame that we haven't seen this Kayla all along except in breif flashes. Last week she was better but what happens Monday is what I want from her. I hope we get more of that. Days is picking up steam again after a little slow period, which is expected I guess given how good December and early January was. I can't wait to see the next few weeks and what they bring.
February 11, 200718 yr Member Kayla isn't the doormat people think. She can get fiery when she wants to!
February 11, 200718 yr Author Member Kayla isn't the doormat people think. She can get fiery when she wants to! It's Kayla's nature to be empathetic and caring (Steve doesn't call her "Sweetness" for nothing) and I think that causes people to dismiss her as uninteresting or weak, but she's always had a spine of steel. She's very, very tough. I'm glad the writers are starting to let her show it more. The writing's leaned too far one direction for her so far. Edited February 11, 200718 yr by GBB
February 11, 200718 yr Member I love Kayla a lot. She reminds me so much of Marlena, my favourite. She's good, kind, compassionate, loving, sensitive...everything that I want in a good character. Kayla rocks!!

The writing portrays her as such and has not allowed Mary Beth to protray much else, unfortunately. I love them in old clips. I know that spaek is in there somewhere, but it's just not relighting for me. I'm hoping this clip is not just a fluke for me. I don't need her to be a bitch to like her. I've gone into every show since her return wanting to fall in love with her character, and have failed to since she and Steve first reconnected (save a few 'flukes'). I anticipate falling in love with them all over again. I hope I'm not disappointed.
