It's not so much that Stephanie's not needed. She just came on at the wrong time. Now, had they waited to bring Stephanie back now, with Steve and Kayla back together, I think it would've worked. When Steph came on, there was little for her to do besides dream for her parents to be together and we see how that turned out. If they waited and brought her on now, she could come home for the reunion, and she would have to deal with living with a father she knows nothing about.

A potential love interest wouldn't hurt matters either. Max was the only guy on the show for her to hook up. He's her cousin though. They flired with a possile EJ hook up, but that went nowhere. Now, we have Nick Fallon on the show, and God only knows how long Connor Lockhart will be in Salem.

Great opportunity, horrible time. Oh well.

I bet we'll see a new Stephanie sometime later this winter or sometime in the spring. I think Shayna Rose was mis-cast in the first place.

She didn't say on her forum she was on reccuring. She said Stephanie would be on til after new years and she may be on reccuring from time to time. Plus the part about her reccuring status was potsed on Dec 9, a lot of things can change in a couple of weeks.
