Wow thanks for posting that, I don't watch DAYS but that made me wish that I did when that storyline was airing, that was the best 6 minutes of soap viewing that I have had in months. That video was really well put together.

That was an awesome clip.

Great montage, horrible story.

Loved it.

It was gimmicky but it involved so many characters and was the springboard to alot of what we were seeing now.

It wasn't amazingly good because it took place during the transition but it held your attention and really set alot of things up.

The story definitely had its high points and low points. It worked out really well in the end, in my eyes.

Anyone know that song? I tried to message the creator of the vid, but it wouldn't work!

Yeah your right King.

Even if you didn't enjoy the story or had your faults with it, the end result gave us so much of the good stuff we have now so it was worth it.

i don't know the name, King, but someone did a Jack/Jenn montage on YouTube with -- this is no joke -- THE SAME SONG. That, incidentally, was also an amazing montage. I wonder if they're by the same person. It's just too many coincidences. The song + the quality makes me smell a rat...

I still don't really understand some of the actions the gloved hand took. Knowing who it is now...why would the gloved hand want Austin/Sami to stay together and blackmail Lexie out of telling Austin the truth? Why would he want to switch the embryos? Tortruring Shawn is kind of a stretch for me. Why would he kidnap Marlena for a day? Why would he want to expose Lexie? Some of it is still kind of hazy and strange, but it makes sense I guess, since it's a Dimera, and he's just trying to shake up everything???? I don't know. WHATEVS. I still think it was all a BIT too much. I probably could have done without the Max/Stephanie crash since that did nothing for me.

King, I've tried to make sense of the Gloved Hand storyline and this is what I came up with...

EJ wanted Sami and Austin to stay together for a long time so that when the reveal finally came out, it would have more of an impact. Lucas had already married Carrie. Austin and Sami were engaged. Once the reveal came out, EJ knew Austin, Carrie and Lucas would be furious with Sami and she would be all alone. He would be there to pick up the pieces.

I think Patrick was also one of the gloved hands. I beleive he was the one that changed the embryos. He's wanted Mimi to come clean about the whole Claire situation ever since he found out. He probably figured this would move things along.

When I thought EJ would turn out to be Tony's son, I thought they were going to have EJ kidnap Tony to counsel him or something. Since that never happened, I figure that EJ kidnapped Marlena to get John out of town or to get his alert up that he and Marlena are included in the Brady vendetta.

EJ wanted Abe and Lexie to break up because all of the DiMeras want Lexie away from Abe. When Abe is around, Lexie's inner-DiMera is unable to come out. She's only evil when she's at risk of losing everything. EJ was probably instructed by Stefano to expose Lexie through what is called "tough love".

Would Patrick really do that to Mimi!?

Yes. I don't see Patrick doing it to hurt Mimi, but to help her. Patrick knew that Mimi was under a lot of stress with the whole Claire situation and adding fuel to the fire (Shawn and Belle's baby) would get the best of Mimi and the secret would finally come out, relinquising Mimi of the stress she's been carrying.

Where does Eve Michaels fit in? And who killed her? EJ, Patrick, or an unknown operative we don't know about?

Luckily Hogan had the sense to just reveal the hand and not elaborate. If JER was still writing, either the reveal would be now, or we still wouldn't know, and the story would have gotten even more convoluted.

I don't mind a story with lots and lots of twists and 'convolution,' as long as it's explained in a sensible way at the end. If you come out of a mystery with more questions than answers, you've failed LoL
