It was a good episode. Not a whole lot like past episodes. I hate that preemption pushed us back because I so wanted the Christmas show today.

The best part was Sami/EJ. Good stuff there. Sami conning him was great and I loved Lucas's part. Roman and Bo were so proud of her and I loved it.

The Will/EJ stuff was a tad creepy. They have had several run-ins so I wonder if they are going somewhere with it because they never used to involve Will in stuff like this. He was pretty good trying to pull one on EJ but it was obvious he saw through it.

I felt so bad for Abe and RJ played her scene with him wel. Loved that J&M were there to help. I also liked Sami telling Lucas how the look her mother gave to her was different-that she was proud of her.

Max/Mimi were pretty good today. Her scream was a bit annoying but FF wasn't horrible today. I actually laughed when the skeleton fell on her.

I loved Abby with the attitiude. Hogan gave the character personality and I love her having spunk. Her scenes with Chelsea and Stephanie were great. I am liking the teens alot lately.

I was surprised to see Mike Cohen in the credits. He did a good job today and I remembered seeing him in PC's credits. I don't remember him from Days but at least he has a history and experience.

Not a bad show. I hate that preemption though because we should've gotten ornaments and Christmas today but oh well. Tuesday will be ok with me. I am not too crazy about Clay but Days has the ornament hanging and I am not missing that so I and others can always mute him or something if he is annoying or if others don't like him. I don't mind him so I am ok

Max is the best fit for Mimi, if she is to have one. No one really has an emotional investment in Max as to who he should be with. It's working out good for me, so far. I don't mind her as much anymore. I think a re-cast could do wonders for Mimi. I am pretty sure JER and Fath make/made up about 99.9% of the problem.

I agree. I think a good recast could make Mimi really likable. Well ... hey ... miracles CAN happen. Just believe!

Personally, I believe FF is Mimi. She has a most distinctive way about her that I love and poking around the internet, I can see that she has tons of loyal fans. I hope she stays with Days as Mimi, at least until her storyline runs into nothing at all. She goes well with every male actor Days has put her with and she has given Max a whole new personality right before our eyes. We've seen a very natural, fun-loving guy instead of the severe puckered up mouth expression which meant nothing at all. I adore him now. He's getting real.

Abby is not Jack and Jen's daughter. The writers are totally ruining her. She has no personality. What she has is an attitude and it's not the least becoming. It shows nothing of intellect, ambition, concern for others (beside her obsession), or anything a normal maturing college girl would be like. This is her first Christmas after her family left, and we hear nothing about her thinking about them, shopping for them, calling them or even that they exist. It's just wrong. Actually, to be more factual in her character, she should have flown to England to spend Christmas with them.

Ali is showing what I've been wanting for the last few years, how very strong and mature she can be. This is excellent. Today she was stunningly beautiful and composed. I LOVED her. She and Lucas together were my favorite, but Ali made Sami alone completely stand out.

LOL at Will. The appendix are much further down than that. It's amazing that EJ didn't rip that bandage off and slap him around. Guess that's why he didn't, because he still wants to keep Sami stringing around him.

I think the script writer did very, very well with Sami and with all the characters especially in the cop shop. I still believe that RJ is the best actress on the show, but Ali can be....imho.

This episode was simply average!

Could Mimi be anymore annoying? My dislike for her has grown so much stronger after today's episode!

I liked the part where Will locked EJ out and made the fake bandage. That was funny and genius!

It sucks how we're going to see all the Christmas stuff (book reading, tree decorating) after Christmas day :(

IMO Hogan is really writing this show superbly.

I don't think it could be done any better. There's a LOT of fantastic stuff coming up.

I agree-Hogan is doing awesome.

I don't get all the Abby hate. How can they be ruining her when she had barely any screentime or presence to begin with? She was barely a character before Beth and Hogan took over. Before Hogan and Beth started, Abby was bland and did nothing. She may be overdramatic but girls her age are like that and they do act jealous like that. It's immature but a good deal of girls are like that. Abby and Max has been hinted at forever. I do like Max and Mimi but Maby is endgame. As for J&J, Abby mentioned calling them on Thanksgiving and I would think they will mention them on Tuesday as it's the Christmas show.

I don't think they're ruining the character, as you said she wasn't really on before, but I think they're missing a chance to make her have a little more punch. But it's nothing fatal.

Oh I agree billyjill. I think we will see her develop more. My post was mainly intended for Jean, who feels they are ruining her. She is not perfect and I don't care for the overdramatics either but I know it's what girls her age do. I do want more from the character but this is really the first time she has had anything to do or any personality. It was usually this shy Abby in the background. She was a sidekick and now she is starting to come out of her shell. Stephanie mentioned it the other day saying "she is usually quiet" and then Chelsea said "well, it''s always the quiet ones." I am sure there will be alot of development with her.

I don't get the Abby hate either. It's her first love. She's acting so typical for that! What's the big f-ing deal.

Abby is getting on my nerves....

I'm loving Sami more and more; and EJ is something else....I am really liking him as well.

Yup, Abby is earning a lot of haters. She is a snobbish, spoiled brat that no one enjoys looking at except those who have dreams for her. She was adorable the last two years. Even when she was snippy, she had the hint of what she would become about her and it's not what is happening now. Remember how she had the charities that she sponsored and she organized the events herself. That is the sort of thing she needs to be doing, using her beauty and talent to get people to do good deads for others instead of reverting to an empty-brained, non-directional, immature girl. Remember Jack and Abby at the dance where they had the father/daughter wedding dance in the even he wasn't there? Remember when she first met Josh. This was a girl with a purpose in life, personality and drive. That is why I say this group is ruining her, which means currently because we all know how long it takes to fix a ruined character.....in the blink of an eye.

I love Abby and will never see why anyone could hate Abby Deveraux. She's so cute and your typical teenage girl. I love it. She has her very first real crush. Josh doesn't count. Do you even remember him, lol? And I'm glad that Hogan is giving her some of those typical teenage girl traits instead of just pushing Max and Abby together. Like I said when Hogan first proposed this idea, I want to see Abby go through her crush before Max and Abby ae together.

Mimi is probably about 22 or 23 now and Max is older than her. He should be about 26. That is much too old for the immature Abby who behaves as though she is 15 instead of 19 like the writers are trying to tell us. She isn't at all like an average 19 year old college freshman. She isn't even as mature as she was last year. This isn't a typical crush. I've had crushes and can tell you that this is not typical at all. It's way overboard toward obsession. Abby isn't an obsessive person. Actually, a crush is like admiring from afar when you are aware that it's something that will most likely never be. That is not at all what Abby is being written as being in. She is possessive in her fantasy.

Actually, the writers really irritate me that they are making her major in business, when she should be a doctor or journalist. This teen generation is supposedly being prepared to be the leaders of Salem in ten years, but they won't have a doctor, attorney, librarian, mayor or any thing like that, only cops and race car drivers and bookkeepers. Chelsea and Shawn both should be in law school and Abby an aspiring pediatrician or such. Look at poor Sami. The writers never even let her graduate from high school. It doesn't take but a few swift strokes of the pen to send these kids through college and even Belle should be getting her degree on-line instead of worrying about getting a job.

LOL, Max is not 26. In real life, yes, he should be 26. But with DAYS age history, everything is all screwed up. Suddenly, after today's episode, Mimi is younger than Shawn apparently. When Max was first brought on, it was said that Shawn is older than Max. Darin Brooks was only born in 84 I think, the same year as Farah Fath. That would make Max around 22. Mimi is also around 22. Belle and Shawn must have aged since Mimi was taken out of their storyline. If Max was really 26, I would agree with you. Abby shouldn't be involved with him. However, Max is only in his early 20s and Abby is 18. It's normal.
