I always felt bad for Glynis because she was a good actress, but she just wasn't Margo. I faintly remember my mom remarking that Margo had shrunk and that her hair grew quite a bit since Ellen D had very short hair at the time she was leaving the show. Seeing Glynis in this episode reminded me of when Robin Christopher when she first started playing Lorna on AW.. she was trying to mimic what Hilary and Ellen did playing Margo instead of trying to put her own spin on the character.
I also noticed that the 1993 was right after Marland passed so we saw the large cast of characters being featured, but I noticed that the dialogue flowed better in this episode vs how it came across when Marland was alive.
It also didn't register that the woman working at Fashions was Dawn because I always remember Alexandra Neil playing the character and forgot that there was another actress that played her first. Julie also was not isolated at the Snyder Farm during this time so she was interacting with the other characters... and man... Jessica was kind of a drag, but so was Duncan during this period of time. Little did we know that we were months away from Shannon coming back from the dead and made this period a period of bliss for Jessica/Duncan.
Lisa in the 1993 episode was exactly how I wish All My Children had written Erica Kane in her later years, but didn't. Lisa was still Lisa.. but she also dressed her age, was confident, and had a shrewd sense of business.
In regards to the 1995 episode, I had forgotten that this was after Lisa's malpractice suit against John... and that she was close to Damian and Lily (due to Eduardo)... but I had forgotten that she and Emma had interacted in a meaningful way since Emma was basically held hostage at the Snyder Farm by this time.
Carly in all of her glory :) I always said the moment the show paired her with Jack was the downfall of her character. She was a fun force of nature in her original stint as the character.. and if I recall, she even had her own theme music when she was up to no good.
