For that to be possible, in addition to total facial and body reconstructive surgery Sheila would have also had to have 3 vertebrate and 2 ribs removed to compact herself down to Amber size of about 5'3" compared to Sheila's 5'6". When they used to fight on B&B Amber was no match. This storyline is as stupid and preposterous as they come and LML has now sacrificed Y&R's integrity for a gimmick.

Another reason I think Phyllis would be the better choice is that Lauren was never Sheila's target. Sheila's motivation for everything was to get herself the husband and the baby. When she first came on she wanted Scott and to have his baby and Lauren was standing in her way. She took Lauren's baby because her own baby died and she knew Scott would demand a paternity test. Same thing on B&B. Sheila moved there to start a new life and had a relationship going with Eric Forrester. She was hoping to have his baby and then Lauren shows up in town and ruins all her plans. Sheila then moved onto psychotherapy and set her sites on James Warrik. It was Lauren and James' other girlfriend, Maggie, who were plotting against her and trying to steal her baby, Mary. Sheila then moved onto Mossimo and got pregnant before he found out who she was. It was only when Sheila was brought back to Y&R under Jack-Ass Smith's reign of terror that Sheila's motivation was Lauren. Sheila had abandoned her babies and went from a multi-faceted character to a one dimensional villain. If LML did turn her into Phyllis it would be better if they wrote it that Sheila set her sights on Nick and became Phyllis so that she could have him and his baby.
