  1. Susan is so good in that clip, the way Erica handles Bianca later in the scene. What happened to not seeing the bride before the wedding? The look on Dimitri's face when Jack shows up is hilarious. "When this wedding is over, you are in BIG trouble." "Shut up." "CAN IT! I MEAN it!"
  2. No wonder Kendall had a damn complex. LOL, Erica made me jump at the 3:00 mark ("JUST enough!"). I'm [!@#$%^&*] stirring, but that sure felt real.
  3. Awesome, so sultry and cool, totally of the time. I have to say, those sets are HUGE, Flame's apartment is so cool. Conboy's Clegg set on Capitol was also huge (all black and white) so it's no surprise that he'd put his stamp on the new predominantly white Capwell set (which was huge and intricate even before he redid it... those blue and white tile stairs, my God, I wonder how many actors almost fell on their ass running up and down those things).
  4. Honestly, I don't think there was ever a Bianca that I was wild about. The baby and CBL were probably my favorite. I liked the quiet strength and sophistication CBL brought to the role in inheriting the direction of ER's Bianca (who I found a bit whiney and grating and a little too perfect). CBL firmly established that sort of Cassie/Dorian-like relationship with Bianca and Erica which I was fine with, but with goody two shoes characters like that, it's only a matter of time before they get written out, brought back again four years later, written out... I think NP was the most surprising casting choice for Bianca. Her first day, I remember thinking, "Oh. Okay. So this is where they're going with Bianca now?" Her personality was entirely different, and yes, although I don't think GG was that old, they definitely de-aged, de-matured her.
  5. I used to see her a lot on this particular block on the UWS. I guess she and KdLR lived around there.
  6. GG was such a whiney little brat and she always had that sour look on her face like her upper lip stunk. Heather and David Tom have that look too.
  7. I must say, I find the theme rather generic and snooze-worthy. It definitely adds to the opening credits looking like a travelogue video running at the rental car stand at the airport.
  8. Thanks for sharing. Did we have another The Catlins thread? I seem to remember talking about Mary Nell Santacroce (Dana Ivey's mother).
  9. Hmmm, I did that thing where I ex'd out the faces I could do without in my head. Well, they are inching towards the D.C. area. If they ever make it down here, sure, but yeah, Debbi and Darnell make this very tempting. I think he looks good but every bit his age.
  10. Yes, thank you! I miss seeing her on my TV.
  11. Maybe it was a premonition or maybe SL was ever so subconsciously tipping her hand, but I was very surprised when an ecstatic Erica told Dimitri that she was pregnant and I didn't quite believe/accept it. The miscarriage wasn't a surprise to me. I think it was a crap way to build up to the kidnapping which was way more Janet Green/Helena Cassadine territory (if not played in an off-Broadway poetic style like Grace Kiefer). Erica would just torture Maria. I did however enjoy the scene where Erica finally came clean to Maria. Susan did some very nice work.
  12. Hmmm... that's interesting, and a strong choice that could be reversed down the line if DC ever wanted to make an appearance... which I would hope for. Any sort of tragedy/trauma in the Chandler family could explain their absence. Adam and Brooke had already begun a new life out of town anyway. Honestly, I'd rather J.R. just shot himself (not even fatally) and an alive and happy (yet traumatized/grieving) Adam and Stuart left town with their wives.
  13. LOL! I guess I shouldn't laugh at that grim scenario but I'm cracking up at your way of relieving us of Randi. Actually, with her primetime series, we'd probably get the recast we'd all hoped for!
  14. You might like them. They are firmer and not at all "slimey" like oysters can be. The texture/bite is sort of like a large bean/legume, but a briney, meaty taste. You can get frozen packaged mussels in red or white sauce at the grocery store for less than five bucks. You heat them in a skillet for about 6 min. and they're done.
  15. As long as they didn't go all Moldavia and open with a bunch of bodies sprawled about Adam's parlor, I think they'd be okay. Firstly, I would want them to acknowledge the passage of time anyway, which they could convey very well with just audio of shots and screams in somebody's memory. The show could even open with J.R. in an asylum or something. Wow, so funny to even be talking about the, er, prospects again. Then of course it raises all these questions like, would J.R. even be on the canvas any longer, would JY leave B&B to come back (doubt it), would they kill off or recast J.R. (Mark Lawson still gets my vote), et cetera?
  16. Thanks for your answers! Interesting stuff. That Flame sequence is amazing. So '80s, like something out of Silk Stalkings. Was she that dude's private dancer or something? Those were bars, right?
  17. I am also a Viki/Sloan fan. I remembered Viki and Clint from when I was growing up but i hardly had any attachment to the couple. Viki and Sloan were together when I really got into the show (Lord of the Banner) and I enjoyed them as a couple. I missed his nasty homophobic streak, he and Andrew were sort of mending things when I started watching.
  18. You were hoping for his man thong?
  19. I was watching an early '90s clip from this thread the other day and I was really taken by how beautiful Julia Barr looked. She is one of the few AMC cast members I've met in person. She was so tiny I could hardly imagine how small Susan was in comparison.
  20. ITA, and thanks. But yeah, she has that bone structure I think I was subconsciously trained to admire watching Filmation cartoons as a kid.
  21. Wow, she has the beauty of a She-Ra cast member.
  22. Is that Terri Ivens on the end?
  23. Mmmm! I'm having mussels fra diavolo over pasta.
  24. I'm almost positive that I saw the following episode so it's interesting to me that they didn't have even one character say something like, "Did you see Janet with the guard as we were walking out?" or whatever. Seems like a pretty important detail to just gloss over, but a nice detail nevertheless. I think it's been said that Melody mentioned playing Janet that one time in an interview, but I don't know if that's true. That kind of sounds like her voice, whoever that was doing the voiceover. But I was thinking that was a stand-in too, unless they just thought showing her from behind was more dramatic (which it was). We get the iconic Janet image and perhaps seeing Melody's face as Janet for the first and last time may have been unnecessary and even a little distracting. Somebody ask Melody on Facebook/Linkedin!
