  1. Greg Meng has finally, since Jul 20, posted on his personal FB page. Now he's in Salzburg, Austria.
  2. Oh, great line! Did she ever. Just discussing today that she did not even have the intestinal fortitude to tell Ellen Parker in person that they were killing Mo. Both were at the studio that morning. Jill called Ellen at home that afternoon & told her on the phone. (Ellen Parker, Locher Room chat)
  3. I show Earl Greenburg as VP of Daytime Programming 1981-1983 and an article announcing his death is "Daytime Guru Earl Greenburg Dies" February 5, 2008 · by: Associated Press
  4. Now, I thought she was incredibly upset about it. She registered huge dissatisfaction that no mercy was shown. I don't know why she & Melinda Trask were suddenly so buddy-buddy, but she even down talked the judge. Of course she lost that train of thought when test results came up even if she didn't know that was what Eric wanted to discuss. What the heck is Talia thinking? Has Chanel taken leave of her senses? And about them giving the Abe pal role to Steve when it belongs to Roman? I just think it's a different Roman. We've essentially had 3 Romans - RealRoman, Wayne, the cop always who was best friends with Abe & they were cops together; Faux RoJohn one of the confused identities of John Black aka Forrest Alamaine; and now the chowder king, today's recast Roman.
  5. Somewhat quixotically, on AMC it was scab writers who killed off Jesse & then years down the road, it was scab writers again who brought him back from the dead.
  6. Yes, July 6th is her last day.
  7. Sorry if I got carried away. My nickname for her is "GloriaMontyWhoSavedGH" !!All one word, all one breath, all one thought. It should really be MarlandMontyEtc. but it doesn't scan right.
  8. Well, Doug Marland's writing was the set-up. ABC Daytime Head asked Agnes who to get to write GH & she recommended Doug, with good reason. Then she promoted Gloria Monty as everyone knows. But, she made many many changes in production, shorter scenes, more edits, cross-cutting, going out of the studio, etc. Then there was the actors with golden chemistry & yes absolutely teen Genie! So right place, right time, the spirit of desperation driving them, voila, magic.
  9. The last scene made me wonder if they're going to take Kristen & Rachel off for awhile. I wish a weird thing. I wish the judge had put Rachel in foster care & Brady & Kristen would have to work together to "earn" her way out of that & to live with them as co-parents in 2 separate households. But, that is not nearly soapy enough & I blame Ken Corday because I'm in just an impossible mood.
  10. I was just goofing ya. But, you're welcome. I discovered it almost by accident about a year ago. Really very handy! I want to post Mary Page Keller & Thomas Ian Griffith from the picket line. I saw this one & couldn't figure how they were glowing!! Then I saw the other one & realized someone had just used a filter on it. There's another one of her singing karaoke on the picket line one day. I didn't know she sang. Okay, enough image frivolity.
  11. Fred Silverman Prez, Earl Greenburg VP Boy, that is dreadful.
  12. It was so awful! That storyline, or arc, whatever! Of course it was messy & one does appreciate messiness. Sigh. Basically it was RonC with a really bad idea that is even worse with the execution. Eh?! What am I? Chopped liver?🤣
  13. But we the viewers know that this time Kristen didn't actually do it. For once. The moment Brady tore up that document, acting out his anger & frustration like a child, I knew he was going to be in trouble. Then he one-upped anything imaginable with the gun. Didn't even Belle try to get him to consider allowing Kristen to see Rachel before he pulled those stunts? Even if he had held her to supervised visitation, it was time. We may not like the blanket pardon but it happened. It's part of the narrative. It can't be ignored. I wonder about that final scene. Are Kristen & Rachel going bye bye for awhile? Anyway, I agree that today was a good day. Yesterday was a total waste. The only thing interesting was EJ & Kristen scene stealing with candy during something.
  14. MediaRadar, advertising, supposing & assuming in their new report about lost ad revenue with soaps not being on the air in the fall. 🤔🙄😉 I just had the best time explaining their error to machines. At least they record. However, this out of context quote is interesting. "Ad revenue for TV soap operas in the first half of 2023 climbed 17% year over year to $118.6 million, compared to $101.5 million during the same period a year ago ..."
  15. The cuts didn't come when they began. They came after they signed the renewal. But you are correct that Richard Bloore did have to take a cut to Wardrobe's budget.
  16. Eileen Heckart If you use Bing as your default search engine, you gain a function on right click, which is to send it on a Search for that Image. If it finds someone it thinks looks like that it gives you a fair amount of information. Sometimes it *sees* wrong but I am sure it's right this time. She is a very familar face!! https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&insightstoken=bcid_TnSVEt7Vw-YFiPZ6lfJnw0UYjawZ.....w8*ccid_dJUS3tXD&form=CHROMI&iss=SBIUPLOADGET&selectedindex=0&id=-1787045885&ccid=dJUS3tXD&exph=480&expw=600&vt=2&sim=11 https://www.bing.com/search?q=eileen+heckart+tv+shows&filters=dtbk:"MCFvdmVydmlldyFzYXR2Ml90dnNob3chN2JjYzE1NDMtMWU1MC02YmI5LWNkZDktNTQ4ZDI4MzZlNWY4"+fcid:"d8dc234b-25b1-b68b-d2e0-be4a220b421e"+sid:"7bcc1543-1e50-6bb9-cdd9-548d2836e5f8"&form=IMGENT
  17. I do not think any soap today will ever, no matter who it is, devote more than one day. I don't recall even in the past that more than one day was involved & more often than not what people have gotten is the In Memory Of screen, only. What I wish shows would do is incorporate the person's life in story. For example, Roger Howarth on GH should be a long-lost son of Alan's who the Qs embraced & Monica took him through Alan's life in pictures & mementos. Jimmy Lee Holt, whatevah!
  18. Of course, some journo could have called her & said this is what they're going to do & what do you think of it considering you hate to fly!
  19. Ari said "hang tight" last week & now Peter echoes it today. I think beside having some insight from where we cannot see, that they keenly gauge the impatience of the fans. Tomorrow is a week since the story broke.

  21. I think co-EPs is an excellent idea. There really shouldn't be much business with Sony. I just outlined what I would say is an overview. Obviously they are things many people are thinking, not in any way unique to me. 1. The investigation should have been by a totally uninvolved party, not Sony. 2. The recommendation should have been immediate termination, not a written reprimand & training. 3. Follow-up investigation should be finding out who knew what when. Ideally that would be happening now. 4. More firings. 5. Hire a full-time PTSD counselor & give them an office at the studio. And, new co-EPs would be named just as soon as people could be vetted & a decision made. I think the only thing tricky about "new co-EPs" is that their production model is so different. Nobody is 6 months out on taping but them. And, I don't think anyone else is doing 8 episodes in each week. But their whole staff is accustomed to it & the new guy/s would just learn quickly, on their feet.
