  1. Can’t wait to see the episode in its entirety because those Tracy/Jason/Sonny scenes in the last half were fantastic. I never thought I’d see the day where the show would have Jason side with Tracy over Sonny. JE and SB delivered excellent performances.
  2. Michael getting char broiled has put the show on an excellent run, these last few episodes have been 🔥 lol Laura Wright, Steve Burton, and Eden McCoy have given really excellent performances and Jane Elliott, Cynthia Watros, and to my surprise Katelyn McCullen are also holding it down well Now that they’re leaning more into playing up the psychological layers of Willow and Drew and having them be openly antagonistic I find them both 1000x more interesting. Drew’s confrontations with Carly and Nina have showcased what a narcissistic slime ball he really is and I’m loving it. He’s like a devil whispering in Willow’s ear helping her play chess against Michael’s families, who you can argue are themselves sick versions of manipulative cults. When he pointed out Carly was being emotionally manipulative I couldn’t really say he was wrong but she had him pegged pointing out his obvious control attempt. For all of Nina’s disgust she’s essentially doing the same thing too, its just Drew has Willow dickmatized so he’s more successful at it. 😂 What I really like is that Willow’s not coming across as a sad manipulated wallflower. She is returning serve in all verbal spats and playing a strong chess game vs anyone trying to keep her away from her kids and doing it in a way I wasn’t expecting the character or the actress to be able to deliver. Her fights with Carly, Joss, and Sasha have been entertaining as hell and well balanced. Laura Wright is killing it playing Carly’s devastation and mama bear anger. Her scenes with Drew and Sonny at the chapel, confronting Willow after the medical proxy reveal, and various moments being comforted by Lucas, Jason, Joss, and Diane outside of Michael’s room have been solid work. That “we we we” clip posted earlier wasn’t bad in full context and I wouldn’t say it was poorly acted or a set up against LW at all. She’s delivering great performances and selling the whole storyline for me. Steve Burton has been playing Jason’s guilt excellently too and I like that all of this mess has made Jason stand firm in he and Sonny needing an exit plan from the business. Tracy getting involved with the custody fight and making it all worse is great usage of her. The scenes of her and Stella discussing Monica being ill were eerily timed but provided great motivation for her to invest in not wanting Willow to run off with the children. I really enjoy JE and MEK together btw and it was nice seeing him and Alexa Havins reunited. Speaking of Havins I like that they’re allowing Lulu to be told by pretty much everyone she’s acting too rash trying to run after Charlotte and Valentin. Its in character for her to be doing this but its also good that they’re not just making her out to be right as a form of cheap propping. I love the slight animosity still being played with Joss and Lucky 😂 watching them and the GH staff slowly figure out Cyrus’s involvement in the hospital deaths has been fun though, I just wish the show had left some more mystery
  3. I was only able to catch the last 20 or so minutes of Thursday and Friday’s shows so I’ll share more thoughts after a Hulu binge but I loved what I saw so far with Jason flashing back to baby Michael, Joss and Carly going in on Willow and Drew and vice versa plus Willow taking advantage of having Michael’s medical proxy. Indon’t think Michael will end up dead from the digitalis dosage but the show does have me at the edge my seat for Monday. I did randomly put on the 2022 episode Hulu uploaded just to play something in the background and I can see why people enjoyed the Cassadine stuff with Esme, Spencer, Nic and Ava. Nicholas Chavez and Maura West specifically had me paying attention to their scenes. The rest of the show was boring as hell and made me remember why I didn’t tune in for ages. Leo and Chase singing a song was the focal point for some reason and IDK what the hell was going on with Sasha but it stunk. I will say the lighting on the show looked better then than it does now and it seemed like they did less static camera work too. Glad to read your apartment is in good standing @Vee ??? You may have intended for this response to have been “all in fun” but it comes across mad patronizing at best to me. @NiqueAlexis2020 using a few nick names didn’t make their post that hard to decipher.
  4. Aw I love Daisy 😔 Charlotte Jordan is a strong enough actress that she should definitely try her hand at other projects though.
  5. No, the Cerullo and Falconeri clans just grew up in the same neighborhood
  6. I missed her air time hogging years so I just don’t get the Eden McCoy hate lol, I think she’s been doing a decent job with what she’s been given.
  7. That was such an unnecessary broadcast interruption especially after they had already delayed the episode 🤦🏾‍♂️ Willow and Drew sleeping together while Michael was burning up was a hilarious editing choice 😂 I was surprised they didn’t have Michael burned in the face more. Of course Jason swooped in and saved him. Laura Wright is already killing it with Carly’s reaction and Van Hansis did some decent work as well. Josslyn’s fascination with Dex’s gun was interesting lol, I like that Brennan immediately went to go get her for Carly. Brook Lynn confirmed she’s had a child to Lois 💀 AS and RS did good work there. I feel like the combo of her not being able to conceive with Chase so far and his scenes with Sasha are meant to setup Chase and Brook Lynn eventually adopting Sasha and Michael’s baby I continue to enjoy Nina and Curtis scenes together btw, her calling Drew to tell Willow about Michael was funny. Looking forward to Josslyn reading Willow the riot act tomorrow
  8. Everybody looks fantastic and I like that they keep marketing it as a “daytime drama”
  9. Ace should be de-Cassadine’d and killed off. I hate when soaps have legacy characters have useless extra offspring with random stragglers no one will remember five years from their exit (Christian from Y&R is another example of this) I’m glad to see Lynn Herring get something to do but woof did @Vee and others call it with Sidwell. CVE has one bag of writing tricks and recycles em over and over without so much as a switch up. Willow crying over Michael serving her custody papers was pathetic. Her and Drew are nauseating but I did find Michael’s analysis of her to Sonny kind of interesting. Since they clearly wouldn’t let her be a lying gold digger I want her to end up going crazy when she realizes how Drew and Nina and her horniness have pushed her towards blowing up her family. I HATE that the Twitter intern spoiled Michael getting set on fire. That could have been a great shock moment and all of the juice was taken away for me by already knowing it was happening. Kudos to the stunt team though, it was well done. I do wonder who the culprit will end up being since it seemed like a purposely set fire. I’m most looking forward to Laura Wright playing Carly’s reaction to it all because I’ve enjoyed Jason having to talk Carly out of destroying Drew and Willow. They seem really adverse to letting anyone in the Pikeman/WSB story be legit shady. Collette was just firing a warning shot at Valentin? Yawn. I wonder if the show is setting up Josslyn to start working at the WSB since she’s so invested in finding Dex’s killer and Brennan is helping her. Her grief continues to fall flat for me though. LOL at Cyrus being so obviously the one who stabbed Dex. Why is this regime so allergic to mystery? I did enjoy Portia, Isaiah and Brad handing Cyrus his ass and Portia kicking him out of the hospital.
  10. I didn’t mind the recreated scenes tbh. Nice history references and they didn’t feel like the show was beating viewers over the head with them as some crowning achievement of the episodes either. I also bought Ian and Cindy reuniting when they did. It had been decades, he’s always been a mug and she was in a bad place after having to leave George and the girls and finding out Lucy and Steven were dead. Getting back with Ian was a way to reclaim a life she never got to have. Of course she ended up remembering just how boring and unsatisfactory it was when she actually got it back and sabotaged it all. I’m pulling for Jack and Denise for the viewers choice, they did good work repairing them for me with The Six fallout. This rekindling with Denise and Ravi however has rang false for me at every step. IDEK what they were trying to do with that scene of him confessing to her he killed Nish on purpose Monday but it didn’t work at all lol, Aaron Thiara has acting limits and that scene was a highlight for em. I did love the Nigel and Kathy reunion scenes and the Beales and Knight families having a go at each other at The Vic trying to pin down which one of them hit Cindy.
  11. He briefly mentioned working at AMC and Pratt joining but they didn’t get into any real details. Nothing much about his personal life either except he and his wife took Andrew and Courtney on a double date without realizing they’d already broken up Jo was already so marginalized by the middle of season 4 its hard for me to even think of what she could have done in s5. I always thought she should have been involved in Sydney and Jane burying Richard alive though
  12. Today was the best episode I’ve seen since tuning back in in 2023. I’m disappointed Mason got killed off but this was a brilliantly done way to address a real issue and get some meaty material for various characters.
  13. The Chip Hayes episode was great, loved hearing the mechanics of how he came up with the production format that allowed the show to film so many episodes per season. The funniest part was the end when Daphne and Court started pressing him about their exits from the show and he lowkey confirmed the rumor Daphne was the highest paid cast member after Heather 😂
  14. Yeah Eileen has barely been on, I expect her exit to be worse than the crap they gave Gail. The Sun had a messy article claiming ITV is broke and the show can’t afford to pay the veteran actors their usual per-episode fees anymore. That’s apparently why the younger talent is on every day and people like Kate Ford are only on short-term contracts. They also said the cast has been told that none of their deals are guaranteed after 2025. I’ve enjoyed the show for the most part lately but not enough to bother commenting on it lol. I love the Carla and DS Swain pairing and Betsy and Mason have grown on me. David and Shona finally getting a storyline has been good though I hate that it overshadowed Gail’s mediocre exit and that Max is always stinking up their scenes. I like how Kit stirs the pot as the shady cop on the cobbles and his addition to the Daisy/Daniel/Bethany/Ryan group freshened them up a bit. Cassie legit manipulating Ken and Tracy and Steve sniffing her out has been interesting too. LeeAnne vs Nick and Toya was tiresome for a minute but they made it more fun recently with her framing them for theft They definitely could use a big cast purge though, there are about 20 or so characters I’d immediately dump without batting an eyelash. They can start with Max, Lauren, Bobby, Gemma, Chesney, Bernie, Sean, Kevin and Abi. When those characters get heavy story focus I completely zone out. Max, Lauren and DeeDee yelling and crying over the fallout of Joel’s murder has been the absolute worst and unfortunately its the biggest story on the show at the moment. 🤢DeeDee’s actress is fine but Max and Lauren’s portrayers are insufferable and I despise the optics of a black woman being pressured into keeping a pregnancy by these two alt right losers
  15. Tyrese singing “keeep it that way” popped up in my head as I read this
  16. I was mad when Cynthia Watros left Y&R because she exited just as the writers were starting to pick up on the nuances she was adding with her performances to make Kelly more interesting. There was a scene with her and Stitch viciously trolling each other at Crimson Lights that was chefs kiss but then she was already leaving for that MTV show. Cady McClain was horrible in the role and got continually smoked in her scenes sparring with Gina Tongnoni. Her last DOOL appearance as Jennifer made me appreciate Melissa Reeves again too. Beth Ehlers should have been Liza on AMC but she dug her own grave with the audience by publicly and obnoxiously bashing Brot’s actor and being so pressed to be paired with Ricky Paul Goldin again when he clearly didn’t give a damn. I was glad they left Taylor in the CONfusion bathroom. Sarah Joy Brown seemed purposely set up for failure with most of her post Carly roles. That B&B run was always a chop and I never got why ATWT brought her on as another random brunette named Julia to be a foil for CarJack and Lily and Holden when we had already had Annie Parisse’s character. Madison on Days showed promise initially but the Ian Buchanan stuff was a tad too dark and once Corday hit the panic button on the regime she came in with it was a wrap. I’d argue Claudia was definitely popular on GH though, even after she pissed Guza off by openly disliking Claudia being responsible for getting Michael shot and the scripts began doing nothing but degrade the character onscreen. I’ll add Eden Riegel on Y&R as Heather and Melissa Archer as that girl hiding the elephant on Days. Julie Pinson as Janet on ATWT too.
  17. IDK i buy it personally. Sonny’s not trying to leave the mob immediately but Isaiah pointed out how his previous heart damage makes him more susceptible to a sudden heart attack, stroke and worse which made him contemplate the fact there is pretty much no one but Jason who could potentially take over should something fatal happen. The convo with Jason was him looking for reassurance he’d be down for the gig and I was glad Jason actually told him no because of Danny. I think its obvious Kristina is going to be the one who eventually steps up which is probably why they had Alexis chew Sonny out for involving her in Charlie’s and why suddenly they’re putting Lucky in her orbit. I’m actually intrigued to see where they go with this. I’m glad Dante got to tell Lulu off for putting her life in jeopardy after Sam’s sacrifice and for abandoning Rocco to sloppily run after Valentin and Charlotte. DZ and AH did great work I only wish the camera work and blocking hadn’t been so stiff. Valentin is a grooming creep to me and his scenes manipulating Charlotte into staying with him were gross. Sasha and Felicia scenes discussing the pregnancy were sweet and its too bad we won’t be getting Michael and Sasha paired together because they do have good chemistry. The way Nina and Curtis got nervous by Michael’s non reaction to Willow taking Wiley to DC to be with Drew was funny. I wish they had written something to make the audience feel the same but he still just looks like a pansy to me.
  18. The New Years episodes were pretty good. The cinematography on the location shots were top notch and while I’m not big on Suki and Eve as a couple the wedding was actually fun and they got good drama out of Nish’s last stand. I was really hoping it’d be a two for one death special though 😔 @Liberty City Of the Panesars I actually like Ravi, Priya and Avani so when they are the main ones centered for story as they were post fallout I’m a happy camper. I really enjoyed Nish’s actor but they killed the character for me when they blew up him and Kat’s all too brief romance and kept rinse and repeating him trying to kill a family member and get disowned only to easily manipulate his way back into their good graces. I will never find Suki likable for the same reasons @DRW50 listed and Eve only works for me with the Slater’s. Nugget and Vinny are complete punks as highlighted by how they let Nish run amok once again for his exit but I wish the show would let them lean more into being shady business scoundrels instead of whiny little weasels. If they all left the square abruptly I wouldn’t be sad at all.
  19. Honestly found this episode to be quite boring for the New Year opener I laughed at the failed Valentin shooting attempt. Dante did kind of screw things up for Lulu but she shouldn’t have gone off after Charlotte alone in the first place Alexis vs Ava was alright but we’ve gotten better face offs with those two recently I guess these are the scenes that made Maurice Bernard feel he needed to offer Sawandi Wilson his acting coaching? 😂 I was hoping the show would be brave and have Sonny end up at the hospital with a potential dosage of digitalis but whatever Willow and Drew are never going to work as a couple so if today was the show trying to pivot towards that they should reroute and try another road. Sasha making Michael give up his ties to their kid sort of makes sense but also feels very plot driven. If they go where it seems they are with her and Jason her points will seem super invalid. Anna doing all of that to Brennan because he said hi to Emma felt kind of overkill but maybe they are gonna have Emma look into being a WSB agent
  20. Its unfortunate the ignore list doesn’t mute quoted posts as well. 🤦🏾‍♂️ I love the EW preview, still have to pinch myself that a new soap is actually about to air on CBS. I’m glad they have already made it clear this isn’t going to be a show where black folks are shown in a degrading trauma porn light.
  21. Other than Sami’s return none of that sounds even remotely appealing to me. I’ll still be back April 25th though
  22. None of MVJ’s writing has ever been “ratchet” or “smut” like and trying to credit her for Generations failing is ridiculous.
  23. I’ll take Latham over Griffith any day, felt that way in 08 as well when we had to suffer through months of Victor and Sabrina going to art galleries and Zapato the dog. YR giving LML exec producer and headwriter power and firing Alden and Smith was one of the dumbest decisions made. Her reign was fine by me before that
  24. Grant was always my favorite Mitchell so I’m excited he’ll be back and get to hang with Nigel too. Wish Sam would pop up as well since her last exit was so harsh with her and Phil. 2024 was not as strong as 2023 but I’ve still enjoyed the show consistently. This is by far the best soap currently on air for me Cindy getting exposed on Christmas was great—especially when she told everyone off in The Vic—but the whole who hit her with a shovel mystery doesn’t excite me much. I’m just glad she’s not actually dead because she’s my favorite on the show. For now my bet is on Gina or Kojo being the culprit. I’ve been liking Kathy’s scenes with the detective over the case and I’m hoping she ends up paired with him instead of Harvey. Not sure why they have circled back to Ravi and Denise 🤢 I liked him better with Priya and Chelsea. Jack and Denise had grown on me after he protected her during The Six storyline as well. I am completely over Nish and his shenanigans and I still don’t care for Suki and Eve so I’m hoping this wedding mess puts a final end to the merry go round with these three. I read the new showrunner was a big part of the Panesars intro story and to that I say yikes 😬
