I like nuRHONY but Brynn has to stop producing sh*t. She's killing the reboot by doing that. And production has to do a better job of hiding her antics. They literally left in where Brynn was coaxing Rebecca about starting drama.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos

Ooo! This upsets me to this day. It boggles my mind how MADD never saw that great story potential of writing in Zaslow's illness into the show. It would've further humanized Roger while giving Holly a proper ending with Roger. It was my dream story to have Roger learn he has ALS and become a hermit over it. Holly would've assumed Roger ran off over her choosing Ed at that time. Blake would've stumbled across a sick Roger and learned of his ailment. Blake would've kept Roger's secret but fall into a tizzy over learning ALS is hereditary. She'd have herself and the twins tested (secretly), but hovers over them at all times. Rick would stumble across Blake testing the kids for ALS and confront Blake. Blake would somewhat throw him off her track, but Rick would share his concerns with Holly. Holly would've hassled Blake over why she did that until she stumbles across the truth when finds Blake with a sick Roger. (SN: Blake spiraling at this time would've given her a better reason to fall victim to Ben, Ross' brother, as he'd be a nonjudgmental ear for her to lean on regarding her father's pending doom). Holly (being Holly) would've been skeptical at first until learning Roger isn't lying. Holly would struggle over learning there's no cure for ALS and that the man she saw as indestructible was crumbling before her eyes. We'd have Roger, who shared the same feelings, deal with his terminal ailment too. Over time, Holly sneaks out and cares for Roger, raising Ed's suspicions. Michelle would quell Ed's suspicions, but worry herself what is going on. Michelle soon learns about Roger and Holly and accuses Holly of cheating on Ed until she notices Roger is sick. Remembering how Roger saved her life in previous years and how Maureen had a soft spot for Roger, Michelle becomes another person to come and help care for Roger. Eventually, we have Ed learn about Roger's sickness and is p*ssed that Holly, Blake, and Michelle are caring for Roger and keeping it secret. Ed would confide in Ross and Rick about his findings, which nosey Alexandra would overhear. Being a skeptic, she'd look into the matter too and is stunned to see Roger deteriorating. Alex would flee (initially), disturbed to see Roger how he is. How could her ex and formidable foe be nearing his end? She'd have a moment of weakness and share the news with Alan, who'd (in turn) leak the news to the media rag. Roger would be distraught over his secret being revealed to the world, while Holly is livid that Ed is the reason Alexandra learned the truth. This would draw Holly even further into Roger's corner. Ed would have to come to terms with letting his hatred for Roger go. He'd realize that his hatred for Roger at this point is pointless. Ed would reach out and try and seek help to find a cure. Alexandra, feeling disgusted that Alan leaked the info, would reach out to medical professionals for advancements or cures. Basically, we'd see Roger make amends with all his foes. Roger and Holly would make admissions of love, and Roger would tearfully apologize (again) for his actions towards Holly decades ago. Holly would put Roger at ease by telling him she'll only truly forgive him if he lives a long, healthy life. We'd play out cute scenes of Holly and Roger as long as possible until MZ passes. Holly would find Roger dead. Springfield would mourn Roger and rightfully had given the character a send-off to remember. And if we want to keep the Nursey Rhyme story to follow, Holly would've simply spiraled and kidnapped the kids b/c she wanted to surround herself the youthful children, who have long lives ahead of them. End of my fanfic.- Search For Tomorrow Discussion Thread
Ooo. I forgot about that too. That would've been perfect timing too as Iris returned about 2 years after SFT ended. Domini might've been available at that time.- Search For Tomorrow Discussion Thread
Thank you @DRW50! I've actually never seen these 3 episodes ever. I've seen the ending of the first episode of Stu getting pushed down the shaft, but I've never seen the conclusion. Talk about some campy mess. How did Ann Flood's character jump down the same shaft and make it back up? That boggled me. I cackled over seeing Nancy Karr and Jo go to blows. Who knew Jo could scrap?! I am stunned that no other soap tried to snag Domini Blythe post-STF. She exuded that British, uppercrest, Alexis Carrington aura that was popular around that time. I think she would've been great on one of the other P&G soaps or an ABC show. She might've even been good as Pamela Capwell on SB. Dare I say it, she could've been a good Alexandra Spaulding recast after Bev left the role. And what was the whole ordeal with the McCleary's dad and the judge? That's always been one arc that confused me. The episodes were entertaining. The sets (especially Estelle's penthouse) were a thing of beauty. But it is obvious the show doesn't know what it wants to be. Does it want to a P&G show or DAYS/SB/GH? You could tell the show was going through yet another identity crisis at this time.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
Holly, Roger, Gilly, Bridget, David, and Kat were the characters that made me sit at the kitchen table and start watching soaps with my grandma and mother at the age of 4. I loathed what they did to Holly post '94. I did not want her to be latched to Fletcher. I hated her being the Nursery Rhyme Stalker. I hate how they ruined her relationship with Michelle during that story with Roger's long-lost son. I loved smart, sexy, neurotic Holly in a power struggle with Roger at WSPR with poor Gilly caught in the middle. While it was totally wrong, I miss Roger/Holly's forbidden love for each other. I miss Curlee's Guiding Light. It's what made me love soaps. It's what made me want to be a screenwriter.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
We need supporting characters but not Buzz, Frank, and Lillian. We didn't need a nurse at Cedars. They could've easily hired a day player to play various nurses. Lillian was never a Katie or Hillary. The nurse's role could've also easily been filled by a SORAS Leah, who decided to go into medicine like Mel and Rick. And Company should've been returned to the Reardons. Out with Buzz and Lillian. In with Quint, Nola, their kids, and nephew Tom. I would NEVER refer to Holly as supporting. Holly is a queen. IMO, she has always been more viable to GL than Reva ever could be. Holly should've been made the Bauer matriarch if it were up to me. A sensible writer would've had Holly running WSPR while being involved in the antics of Blake, her grandkids, Rick, and Michelle. I would've brought Rita to stir up trouble for Ed, Holly, and Alan. Hope too. I always felt that they should've revisited Rita allegedly leaving town pregnant with the father being in question. I think the issue with MOL and Rick (in general) is he never got much great content. He was always put in that goofy best friend role while Phillip got all the juicy content. I think had the show continued on, Leah (if written well) could've provided him with tons of content. Especially, with the return of Phillip. I always felt Leah would've been bitter toward Phillip being the demise of her parents' marriage.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
Oh, I totally agree about Buzz and Lillian, too. The last time Buzz was viable was when Jenna was on. Once Jenna was killed off, Buzz should've been tossed aside. Yes, Justin Deas was a good actor (when he actually clocked in), but he phoned it in post-Jenna to the bitter end. As you pointed out, Lillian wasn't necessary after the affair with Ed. She should've seriously just left town to be with Beth or Calla. Thinking about it now, I think one of the main issues with GL throughout its history is they didn't know when to cut certain characters when they no longer served a purpose. Primarily supporting characters. Jeffrey, Frank, Buzz, Lillian, Ashlee, Doris, etc. shouldn't've stayed long after their expiration dates.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
Speaking of Frank (and Frank Dicopolous), can we acknowledge how that character and actor has to be the luckiest in GL history? Never have I seen a pointless character survive so many regimes and not get slashed. Frank should've seriously been cast off after the original Eleni left the show. He truly served no purpose in the later years as we had Harley and Gus handling the police business.- BBC cancels Doctors

Not yet. I am going to begin watching today. Is it any good?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I am over SLC trying to make Britani "fetch." No one gives a sh*t about her or her Osmond beau. IDK why Bravo even entertained this woman or thought it'd be compelling. This is why I feel these shows are dying--they are losing their touch b/c Andy has a hard on with trying to appease Hollywood.- GH: Former Actor Returning After 11 Years Away
I am all for Liz getting story, so I am not opposed to this. However, KeMo fans are already getting peeved on social media about this announcement (despite it being short-term), and I just think this isn't going to bode well for the show as a whole. Until this dies down, GH needs to trim down the cast, not add people.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
