Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NJ I really enjoyed the premiere and I think it comes down to the relatively organic relationships that this cast has. Jackie, Margaret, and Melissa are clearly friends and see some issues the same way. Although I can understand some seeing them as Mean Girls, I also think they're united on an issue. Jennifer is no shrinking violet and can handle anyone. I think she handled Bill's affair like a champ by owing it. She did nothing wrong and in life we make our own deals. She forgave him and moved on. Her nose...doesn't look good in the premiere. I really do not think she needed to do anything with her nose, her old one was beautiful. I think going out of country for plastic surgery has all kinds of risks, although at least in her case she speaks the language and has family in Turkey. Margaret was messy for dropping Bill's affair like that. I did not like it. It will be interesting to see how things evolve between her and Jennifer as it looks like they have a sit down later in the season. I loved the scenes with the husband's talking about Luis' video. All the Joes and Frank Sr and Evan are hilarious. That video was so cringe that I can't fault any one for going WTF about it. I think Margaret was actually doing Teresa a favour by telling her to just get it addressed and moved on. Gia vs Joe is sad. Joe has been there for those girls through thick and thin and he has every right to hate Joe Giudice. I understand he's their father, but they look at him with rose tinted glasses and ignore the fact that he's a convicted criminal. OC I also enjoyed this episode although I think the chemistry is off and these women appear to be co-workers. Noella is a very strange one. She went from ballistic to apologetic with Heather in the blink of an eye. Shannon is looking so rough. I really hope she addresses her drinking because it seems like she has a problem. Gina's boyfriend, Travis, seems like a very nice guy. I hope they work out.

ARTICLE: DOOLApp to Shutter with ‘Days of our Lives’ Digital Content Moving to YouTube
An interesting development and good for DAYS - the app is something that a lot of their potential audience would miss out on and the revenue opportunity provided by YouTube is greater. B&B, as usual, is leading the way in terms of distribution innovation - have been since the 1980s.

Watch both episodes and laugh at how absurd some of these women are. I don't feel like it's RHONY levels of toxicity - it's more like some of them are being really blunt and flat out saying they don't like each other, so because it's so early in the franchise, there's less personal investment (except for Lisa) so the fallout doesn't feel as nasty.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Heather doesn’t hate Whitney and, oddly, she doesn’t seem to hate Lisa. She is trying to support Jen but I suspect there’s a lot of emotion there. But the rest? Yeah they all hate each other and it’s explosive. Lisa is losing several 10+ year friendships from this show. What she said about Meredith was a pent up tirade. By now we all know Jennie is trash. Mary flatly stating she doesn’t like Jennie was hilarious…but Mary is still a very suspect individual herself. That boarded up ‘church’ of hers is not going away.

US Weekly is such an amateur hour publication compared to the days when Janice Min ran it like a first class gossip magazine. The lawsuit is being refiled in California. This is a fake news headline if there ever was one.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
WHEW the Brock of it all. I totally agree. There is really nothing about him that I like and he uses his booming voice and imposing physical presence to make up for the fact that he's dumb as a rock and oblivious to how selfish and irresponsible he's been. LVP is not impressed with him. The Lala and Randall split really needs to be examined because it sounds really dark and scandalous.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
Part 2 of the Reunion aired tonight. Unlike most shows on Bravo, VPR ended on a high note with the Reunion episodes being gripping to watch. The ratings also ticked upwards to the reunion, so there does still seem to be some life left in this show...it'll be interesting to see 1) if it returns and 2) how they move forward.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Once I read Heather's statement and Meredith's second statement, it seemed clear to me that Jennie was out. Neither one was going to cooperate with her and the backlash was sufficient that Bravo bailed.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Heather, Whitney, Mary, and Meredith have no political donations to their names, so I'll refrain from ascribing any political affiliations to them. Jen Shah has donated to the Democratic Party PAC ActBlue. I agree with you that this cast is become very toxic very quickly. And they've gone from 0 to 60 in their hatred, especially Meredith and Lisa.

They didn't address it at all. Pathetic. Not that I'm surprised. Lisa Barlow donated to Ted Cruz's presidential campaign back in 2016: https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions/?contributor_name=Lisa+Barlow&contributor_name=Lisa+Jean+Barlow&two_year_transaction_period=2016

You must be reading the wrong columns. Y&R is down substantially year on year and way down compared to 2020.- Days of Our Lives: January 2022 Discussion Thread
I think a lot of that comes down to Drake and Deidre were both comparably 'old' when Brady and Belle were born. Deidre would have been 46 when Belle was born and Drake would have been 39 when Brady was born. Back in the early 1990s they would have been considered 'geriatric' parents. DAYS really wanted to keep John and Marlena as a young, vital supercouple and having children was part of that equation. As a result, the SORASing of their children is really startling.- The Wendy Williams Thread
Apologies if it gave you a fright! However, it's the reality with the way things have been going for Wendy that it could happen. It is, indeed, very sad.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I don't think Bravo cares. If anything, what I find interesting is Meredith, with her private investigator looking up each HW, didn't drop any of these bombs on Jennie herself. In some ways, Bravo likely wants these issues because it leads to potentially explosive moments...but there is something so unsavory about giving really morally bankrupt people a platform at all.- RIP: In Memoriam Thread

The New York Post's latest story. I feel like the end of the show is coming and that these kinds of leaks are ramping up to it: https://pagesix.com/2022/01/18/a-lot-of-truth-to-wendy-williams-show-leaks-about-her-health/- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The New York Post is reporting on it. It's very bad. https://pagesix.com/2022/01/19/rhoslc-star-jennie-nguyen-faces-backlash-for-controversial-posts/- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
You're absolutely right. At the time, the Franco/Sami storyline felt like it would never end but watching it now, it's riveting and I couldn't wait to see the next episode (and this is despite the fact I knew how it would end!). It is surprising to know that DAYS really received no love from the Emmys - no performers, writers, or directors got nominated for that storyline and watching it again Sweeney, Koslow, Dattilo all had material that should have got them nominated. The production values when Sami is in the execution chamber were top notch. It might be that binge watching has become the norm thanks to streaming services and so devouring a storyline like that one in a compressed period of time feels natural. What is evident is back in the late 90s, before the budgets were slashed and trashed, there was a lot of time put into these shows. You can tell the actors had time to rehearse, that the editors had time to add music with thoughtful cues in the dialog, the sets were detailed, large and had depth to them, and while the storylines lagged they also had layers to them. There are scenes between characters that might not get made now because they seem excess to supply, but what they really do is add context and realism to storylines that can seem off the wall.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

Who was that?!- Ratings from the 1990s
Frasier has aged very well - aside from some dated clothing and technology the show is quite timeless. I agree about Home Improvement. I don't think it had a comparable political sensibility to Roseanne. Tim Taylor had a TV show, a comfortable suburban house, three 'wholesome' sons - it definitely was a Trump ideal family. - ARTICLE: Daytime Broadcast Ratings for the Week of January 10-14, 2022
