I agree with this 100%. I think Moonves is quite hands off when it comes to CBS Daytime...and he lets Angelica McDaniel oversee things to the extent that she can, she seems to not have a lot of success against the strong or apathetic personalities at Y&R, TPIR and LMAD. B&B and The Talk have the huge benefit of having smart, experienced people totally invested in the success of the projects: Brad Bell has both personal and financial reasons for B&B to thrive and The Talk has the benefit of Chen, who is very focused on the show succeeding, John Redmann (who enjoyed huge success at Leeza! and The Rosie O'Donnell Show and dealt with Tyra Banks and Tony Danza's failed talk shows; he's seen the good and the bad in the industry), Sharon Osbourne, who promotes the heck out of the show everywhere she can and has very straightforward views on how a show succeeds. None of the network daytime divisions have cohesion anymore. It isn't the 1990s where you had some real commitment to that daypart. The View may be reaching the end of it's natural life cycle, the show is a chore to watch in comparison to The Talk and I don't think anyone is going to say it's Nicole Wallace or Rosie O'Donnell's fault...those two have gotten along really well. Rosie Perez has been a disaster and it's an open secret that Whoopi has wanted out of the show for years now. But for her pay or play $5 million a year contract she wouldn't be there, but that kind of money has been hard for Whoopi to turn down, prior to The View her career was in Hollywood Siberia. They should be begging Meghan McCain to join, moving O'Donnell to the moderator's chair, firing Perez, letting Whoopi leave at the end of her contract and finding, keeping Wallace and find another young woman with a solid education (like Star Jones and Lisa Ling did back in the day) to give the show some balance. The current panel is too old and irrelevant to the daytime viewer. The Talk hosts are younger and even Sharon Osbourne, whose older than any of the current View ladies, seems far younger: she's more current and hip than anyone on The View panel. If The View is to survive, and I'm not too sure that it should, it needs an overhaul.

I don't even mind Sheryl Underwood. The Talk is a likeable show, it's light and enjoyable and the chemistry works. ATWT was always going to end, just as all the soaps will end, just as all shows will end, ATWT had it's run and P&G clearly wasn't invested in improving the show. The demos were bad and CBS made it's decision. A vanity project for Julie Chen? Yeah, but it's worked out, so they're all laughing.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
We won't know about Jeana and the other alleged new Housewives till OC airs...remember all the filing BH did with a couple of women who didn't end up making the cut, that'll happen again, I think Bravo learned from Carlton and Joyce on BH and Danielle on OC that they need to film more than have a few people to weed out anyone who flops on camera. I do hope Jeana comes back to OC as a full housewife, she WAS the show for a long time.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
That episode was all sorts of uncomfortable to watch re: Kristin. She is out of her mind, certifiable, psychotic and deluded and dangerously obsessed. She needs to go. The show doesn't need her and I can't be alone in saying I find watching her uncomfortable. James is her bitch, obviously, given how she flees to Tom at a moments notice.. He should feel humiliated, but given he looks older than his years and has a trashy faux classy accent, he likely doesn't see how badly he's coming across. Stassi is a loser. She is so unnecessary and does nothing for the show anymore. She trashes SUR at every opportunity but can't stay away: she's irrelevant without it. Jax, the rent boy formerly known as Jason, clearly had a relationship with John. Jax likely comes from a very dark, ugly, bad past and he's gone wherever someone would take care of him. Very sick. Scheana is so dumb. Lobotomies don't result in her level of basic. Tom Schwartz, he's very smiley and loveable and nice and apparently he's kissed every guy on the show. Maybe just a free spirit, affectionate like a puppy? Katie had better be merciless in dumping Stassi. Vail was good to watch, she could easily fill Stassi's role.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
I have to defend the Toms...I have done exactly what they did, on a number of occasions, doesn't say anything about their sexuality. It was a great episode because Vail is getting Jax'd and for an Ivy League grad she's acting pretty dumb! Pandora is her mother's daughter, she was running that kitchen like it was her own! And finally, a Stassi free episode, which highlighted why she doesn't matter to this show at all anymore and should not return next season!

RH of Cheshire: NORTHERN ENGLAND! It will be screamingly tacky and so much fun! RH of Melbourne: That promo is amazing! I am so thrilled they dumped that awful bitch, Andrea, and have embraced their fabulosity! RH of BH: This week's episode was good because Brandi revealed herself to be as deranged as everyone said she is and Lisa played her dumb ass just right while Yolanda showed what a bitter cow she is, with Lisa basically waving her off at her own dinner table. Eileen was class personified by keeping it together and Lisa R made be burst out laughing with her candid thoughts on Brandi. Who cares about Kim and Kyle, they don't matter unless they're fighting each other.

Joan worked with George Peppard in a 1970 movie called The Executioner and Peppard propositioned her to sleep with him, despite the fact that he was married with children (so was she!). After she turned him down he didn't speak to her for the rest of the shoot. She didn't have a complimentary word to say about him.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
It was a good episode but it highlighted why Jax and Stassi both need to go by the end of this season... Jax is a sociopath. Here's a handy definition: a person with a psychopathic personality whose behaviour is antisocial, often criminal, and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. The way he had sex with the girl in the bathroom and then brazenly lied to his *best friends* is just disgusting. He is evil. Stassi is a narcissist. Here's a handy definition: extreme selfishness, with a grandiose view of one's own talents and a craving for admiration. She isn't an employee of SUR, she thinks she matters. And she does not, at all. She is the height of irrelevant and yet she is trying to be in the thick of things. She is a controlling idiot. Tom and Katie...I don't care, Tom and Arianna...I don't care. They're all dumb 20/30 somethings who are over and they don't even know it. It's the most delicious trash TV!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHoBH Ken's "for now, my dear" was damn flawless. What venom for Brandi. Kim slurring her toast that consisted of bland "I love you's" to Brandi was a big pile of whatever. Kim was "shocked" Lisa didn't invite her to the PUMP opening? Give me a break, Lisa has consistently hated Kim, why the hell would she ever welcome her to her restaurant opening?! Yolanda moaning and bitching about being a single mom: "you didn't invite me here!" once she saw PUMP, "My best friend has ALS!"...what an attention whore. She is so needy and clingy. Lisa being silent for Brandi's toast, "No, she doesn't love her" and "Why would I want to have lunch with you?" were epic. And best yet, Brandi's parents tried to sell a reconciliation to Lisa and it just plain failed. Kyle: what a bitch. Portia didn't learn "whose better, Lisa Rinna or Lisa V?" from no one. The minute Lisa left the party she stirs the pot. Congratulations Kyle, you haven't taught your children any useful life skills. What a failure! Brandi: an awful lot of stress over a house warming party. What a ludicrous baby voice. What a random Leeza Gibbons cameo. And her poor parents pitch hitting for her, why does Lisa make her nervous? BECAUSE LISA SEES HER FOR WHAT SHE IS! Lisa Rinna is a hustler and I love her positivity. Eileen's laugh. She's just like Kristen! She is so positive, love her Lisa V love, love her icy disgust at Brandi's conduct. It was a great episode because ALL of them, except Lisa R and Eileen, are beyond pressed that Lisa has dumped these women like the toxic waste that they are!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHoBH Lisa R's trip to Oregon was touching and real and humbling. Many of us have walked this road, and all of us will one day, where the role reversal between parents, children and grandchildren gets intermingled and the caregivers become the cared for. Lisa R has my respect for acknowledging the small role she has played in her parents transition. Her dad looked great for a man in his 90s and her mom reminds me of so many people I've met in my life. I wish them so much good, they seemed like really kind people. Her daughters are typical LA children and that's not a compliment, once I heard her daughter ask if the menu at the restaurant the family went to was gluten free I had to roll my eyes strongly. They both need a serious reality check and Lisa R is the kind of tough, smart woman to do it. Kyle keeps trying to Make Kyle Happen. Nice try boo but that's not possible because you are solidly in the LA B-List. And. She. Always. Will. Be. Because. She's. The. Realtor's. Wife. And. Just. Not. That. Likeable. Lisa was swatting away flies this episode. The conflict between her puppies and her swan was of graver significance than her interpersonal relationships with her enemies. I love how Ken has absolutely no energy for bullsh*t anymore. He really doesn't care. Yolanda lost so many points with me, after several episodes of image repair, by trying to instigate drama with Lisa which was thirst at its worst. Lisa had to blow her off about it not once, but twice. I really don't understand why these women think that forgiveness and moving forward means that things go back to how they were before the relationship took a major hit. Things never go back to being the same. Sometimes they improve, sometimes they don't. But Yolanda whined, moaned and bitched about Lisa being a Hollywood friend...so Lisa isn't acting like one anymore, meaning she isn't going to invite Yolanda to her Palm Springs Walk of Fame event when she doesn't genuinely want her there. Brandi was just a pathetic mess clinging to Ken, demanding Lisa RSVP to her housewarming and going in on Eileen about who first played Billie (she worked with the "Real Billie" for 3 years you idiot, she even remembered Krista as the recast, enjoy losing $100!). Brandi is another one who can't understand logic: if Lisa was so horrible last season, why be around her? If she doesn't want Lisa to be "fake" (everyone housewife's favourite word in a fight) then why should she be upset when Lisa, genuinely, doesn't give a sh*t about her? There is a glaring lack of logic with Brandi. Eileen silently observing everyone is the classic mark of a more introverted personality. And that's fine, her comment regarding Brandi's "renovated vagina" made me laugh. Eileen's spectacular Malibu villa and delightful friendship with Lisa R more than make up for her frosty quietness. She's fitting in great. Kim was a non-entity this episode.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHofBH Yet another winner of an episode as we begin the steady climb to more heightened drama. The show just works better when it isn't a constant stream of dark, ugly drama between a bunch of petty women. These episodes provide us with balance that we need to sustain the season! Eileen's frosty, nervous energy is a cover for a slightly insecure, slightly dorky woman. Nothing wrong with that! Eileen is who she is and she owns it. It's nice to see that the family friendly atmosphere on daytime soap sets that Erika Slezak and Susan Lucci raved about back in the 80s remains in the industry. Brandi's single scene doing her podcast was more than enough exposure to her. Yolanda's scenes were what we've come to expect of her: she worships David unfailingly. It isn't offensive and she has a wonderful smile. But, whatever. Loved the two Lisas in Palm Springs. Lisa R is so positive and joyous, just love her. The thing about Lisa's Max dating an older woman is that it shouldn't surprise her: boys go for women that remind them of their mothers. Lisa is an old soul, in the best sense of the word, she's a very glamorous, refined woman...he isn't going to find that in 25 year olds. So he goes a decade older. Sure, Max is looking for a "mummy"...but so did Ken's son and that one worked out great! Kim was quite likeable in this episode as it emerges that she and Monty have a complicated history (his second ex-wife was getting her makeup done with Kim and all seemed cordial) and she's done a lot for him. It appears Kim has a few crosses to bear, which is likely why she's been such a messy drunk and ridiculously bad dog owner in the past...but she has many redeeming features. Kyle, of course, tried to make the wedding as much about her as it was about Kim, Monty and their daughter. The highlight of the wedding scenes, aside from the positively beaming groom, was Kathy Hilton looming on her front steps, looking like the classic Beverly Hills matron, coldly blanking Kyle while telling Kim she was doing great. That was just too delicious for words. Kathy just seems to loathe Kyle. If ever someone deserved Special Guest Star billing, it is Kathy Hilton.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
The great thing about VR is you can sit back and laugh for an hour at the clowns Lisa, our immaculate ringmaster, presents to us. Not one of them is successful and, considering their ages, they've all piqued. Not one of them is going to 'make it'...and as their looks fade they'll get jobs in nameless offices or teach acting classes at third rate schools. When you've had a bad day, nothing perks you up like Vanderpump Rules. Kristen is a sicko. Nut job. Crazy. Insane. Ill. The attacks on Ariana and her obsession with Tom Sandoval make me laugh. She's like a character Glenn Close could have played. She's utterly delusional and that twit of a boyfriend of hers, James, clearly resents her obsession. Katie and Tom Schwartz...let's be real, those two have probably cheated on each other multiple times. Not one of the SUR employees has any emotional maturity. They aren't capable of it. I dislike Scheana and her winey crap but she's right about Stassi trashing SUR: she quit. She misses being queen bee. She lives an entirely mediocre life with her imaginary boyfriend in that fancy apartment production is likely paying for. Stassi is a nobody. And oh, the rage she has for Jax. She'd totally get back together with him. Vail seems alright, but very much in the "I'm working my program, one day at a time" way. Jax continues to be another loser whose looks are fading fast as he bitches and moans about not making the tips he wants because of PUMP. Peter and Lisa are made of win when they have their little chats about the staff. Lisa's shade about the staff was immaculate after interviewing Vail: "she'll never last, she's too good, too pretty and too smart" The whole episode was glorious fun.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHoBH What a great episode, delightfully non-toxic. A bit Kyle heavy, which means it's never that authentic as she seems hell bent on portraying the 'happy and in love perfect LA mother who has it all' schtick like it's going out of style. I will give Kim this: when she makes fun of Kyle she's actually quite amusing. Now, throw Kathy Hilton in there eviscerating Kyle with scathing glances and you have housewives heaven. Brandi's tales of podcasts and Range Rovers. Yawn. If she wants to buy a house so badly and to not have to depend on a man again she could have settled on a nice Ford Focus. Doesn't cost more than $15,000. If you get a six figure cheque, why not save that money for a rainy day when Housewives is over and you're irrelevant again? Why not use that for the mortgage? Poor financial acumen right there. Yolanda has done well to rehabilitate her image by getting her head out of her a$s. Her struggle with her mother is just dreadful, as is her daughter's DUI which had to be quite frightening given Yolanda's childhood experience. You really have nothing without your health and I wish her mother so well. Eileen's house looks so much fun and kid friendly. She's clearly spent those DAYS, B&B and Y&R pennies wisely. Good for her. She does have a certain frostiness to her that I find intriguing. Lisa V and Lisa R are fabulous together. It's nice that they can be honest about what clothes look good. That's really honesty. What I really appreciate about Lisa R is how positive she is. She is an absolute celebrator. So supportive of people. I really hope she succeeds big time with whatever she wants to do. She's great. So is Lisa V. Hustlers. Love em.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Absolutely not. For a contract to be binding there needs to be something called "consideration" (ie changing your position based on the deal, ie getting something). Nene received no consideration from the Detroit Board of Education so they absolutely cannot sue her. It was a unilateral promise. Not enforceable at all.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
I loved it this week because these people, aside from Lisa, are the hottest messes on earth! They live in these crap apartments, littered with junk, like below average people, trying to 'make it' in LA while waiting tables for people they wish they knew. Kristen seems legitimately crazy and obsessed with everyone being as miserable as she is. And then you have Jax being a total destructive psycho loser. Stassi the control freak. The Toms being likeable, despite their low achievements and questionable morals. Katie being a mess. Scheana being somewhat irrelevant this episode. And then you have Lisa, serenely gliding above them all, dripping with diamonds and style and sly, dry, British humour.

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
Vail Bloom has a pretty sad IMDB and she's 32. It seems she just might need a job that allows her to go on auditions - just like the rest of the cast. That's the thing about VR, it has to have producer involvement, but they're all actors who aren't going to make it, so they all know how to perform and make some good TV happen.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHBH: what a great episode, production has really picked up their game compared to last season. Like Lisa and Andy said in their One on One, it's like that season of Dallas where Bobby Ewing died - it's like last season didn't happen to a degree. Lisa showed how it's done with Brandi, she didn't stoop and wiped the floor with her, leaving Brandi dumbfounded, her natural state I'm sure. Kyle was an idiot to give Brandi her phone, it went against what she and Lisa discussed the weeks previously. That was poor form on Kyle's part, but not malicious. Kim was likeable this episode because she didn't make anything all about her. I can give her credit for being really plugged into her kids lives and wanting them to shine. And I loved that shade filled cameo by Kathy Hilton, who is basically Kim's saviour and protector since it's Kathy who actually got Kim into rehab. Kathy has never seemed to like Kyle. Kathy's very wise. Kyle and Portia, the half assed version of Milania? Nope, don't care. Portia is a brat. Yolanda has seriously repaired her image in 3 episodes. She, like Kim, is great with her kids, including her dark and brooding Bella. I feel for Yolanda with her mother's health issues. That's very tough. Lips Rinna (said with love) is so great for this show. Her exuberance and sincerity is wonderful. She isn't a hater, she's a celebrator. Great to see Eileen. Her natural aloofness is going to get to some of the women, that's for sure.

I'm glad you caught that too. I rolled my eyes. Typical Kyle, pretending she's someone she's not when she lives in a perfectly pedestrian house with a perfectly pedestrian backyard, in a perfectly pedestrian part of Bel Air that's rather close to the freeway...she isn't Betsy Bloomingdale and she never will be.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You've gotta hand it to Slut Pig and Sh't Stain Pillow, they make quite the pair of idiots stalking a realtor who drives a Prius. Dim Richards is just so weird, how does her conduct seem healthy to a woman of her age? Brandi tried and failed, yet again, with her comments re Lisa to Adrienne. Of all people to stick up for Lisa...Adrienne? That was bizarre but she's right, Brandi does need to take responsibility for her actions rather than try to pass them off onto someone else. Kyle...well thankfully she didn't feature very much, but her protestations about not wanting to raise a brat ring hollow: Portia is a bratty, spoilt rotten little girl lacking the charm of her youth. I loved Lisa Rinna's scenes and her admission that the Depends ad paid better than anything she's done in her career and that it saved their bacon...she's a grafter, good for her and much respect for that honesty. Yolanda's scenes were nice and light and her struggle to get into her white jeans was her most likeable scene in a very long time. Lisa continues her streak of fabulous, that pink sapphire ring was divine. Getting her other housekeeper by giving her a ride? Very cute. It was a good episode, nice and light, like the Housewives franchises of the somewhat distant past.

If that's your reasoning for not believing a woman when she says she's been sexually assaulted, then I really don't know what to say. I'm speechless. And I'm done with this thread.
