  1. She's 76 this year, she's no heavier than she was on B&B, if anything she looks a slightly bit slimmer. Nice to see that her friendship with KKL endures.
  2. RHONY It was great to see this franchise back and what LuAnn has been saying in the media rounds to promote the show seems true: it's like the good old days and this has all the promise to be a really great season. I like Dorinda (and her boyfriend) already. She seems to inhabit a slightly humbler world than the rest of them (are at least willing to admit). Bethenny's return was seamless and it's like she never left. Ramona and Sonja - good lord Sonja, have some sensitivity to Ramona's life hitting the toilet! Having looked up Sonja's house in the south of France I don't know why she didn't just let her townhouse in New York be the one to satisfy the judgment against her and buy a smaller condo in Manhattan - that townhouse is an albatross that she doesn't want to free herself from for reasons unknown - maybe it makes her feel wealthy - but it's next to a parking garage on the Upper East Side. Why not sell it, satisfy the judgment, fire the interns, fire the staff and move into a nice $2 million 2 bedroom condo that requires little upkeep and have glamorous holiday homes to jet off to! She's delusional. I am LOVING LuAnn's new house and her tagline is the best after last year's demotion debacle. Carole does seem like a slacker writer. Heather basically had no scenes. Kristen...who cares? That's one return I just don't understand.
  3. RHOBH Part 2 of the Reunion was essentially Eileen dragging Brandi's rotting corpse back and forth for 42 minutes as Kim and Kyle and Lisa Rinna had a three way shouting match in the periphery. Brandi had previously tweeted that the reunion went in her favour...and I have no idea what she's talking about because Eileen rode her hard and threw her away wet. It really was interesting how Eileen slaughtering Brandi was a solid theme throughout the episode. Andy usually picks the topic, it's yelled about for a couple of minutes and then an unnatural transition occurs with some choppy editing of Lisa V swallowing hard or Kyle rolling her eyes and then it's onto the next topic. Not this time. Eileen definitely came with a list of grievances to address and systematically got her point across with a lot of skill. That memory of hers is something she really does have going for her that the rest of the housewives just don't have on any comparable level. Kim vs. Lisa Rinna really demonstrated what a sack of sh*t Kim is. She didn't dare say anything about Harry because she knew a slander lawsuit was headed her way the second she uttered a word because it was all totally made up nonsense. And I doubt she can pay for those legal bills...she hasn't been able to get her house out of 1972 Sherman Oaks Hell. That said, Lisa Rinna is going to go down hard next week with the text messages she sent to Kim...but that will blow over. Kim's multi-season behaviour will not. Kim vs. Kyle really demonstrated how awful Kim is. I'm no fan of Kyle, but I believed her rage filled tears when she admitted that the only reason she mends fences with Kim is so that she can keep Kim's kids in her life. I don't think Kim has heard that one before, she looked surprised and Kyle was crying too wildly to have calculated that remark too far in advance. Kyle truly hates what Kim's able to do to her and Kim doesn't give a damn about Kyle. It's as plain as day that once Kyle stopped being her enabler that Kim's use for her really dwindled. Lisa V basically had nothing much to do, aside from contributing a hilarious behind the scenes moment about claiming she could say she had diarrhea if things got too heavy during the reunion. I love her.
  4. It's just ludicrous. And I was glad to see Janet, despite all the crap with Gina, flatly deny what Petifleur was saying and flatly denied that Gina was racist.
  5. RH of Melbourne Petifleur made an attempt to get at Gina, with the ludicrous argument of racism, and it said a lot about her: she's the nasty bitch I said she was from day one.
  6. Ben is awesome! He's married to Jackie, the one who claims to be psychic and says "Shine, Shine, Shine" all the time. They're a cooky couple. Adorable.
  7. I totally agree with all of this - you nailed it Cat, as usual.
  8. I believe it a lot more than Kim's assertion that she's sober. Commercials do pay well, embarrassing endorsements pay better, and if I recall the commercial came out a year after DWTS, which is always good for an actors Q score.
  9. And for some Real Housewives of Vancouver Tea... Jody Claman's divorce trial concluded and she was ordered to pay special costs to her now ex-husband. Special costs are used by the Canadian Courts to demonstrate reproof or rebuke on a litigant whose behaviour has been exceptionally poor, Madam Justice Gropper of the BC Supreme Court held that Jody "deliberately intended to mislead and deceive the court on numerous occassions"...FINALLY this trash is getting what she deserves! Here is an article all about it: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/real-housewives-of-vancouver-cast-member-s-lies-lead-to-special-court-costs-1.3018076 And for the real juicy reading, here's the judgement: http://www.courts.gov.bc.ca/jdb-txt/SC/15/04/2015BCSC0482.htm Somewhere, Mary, Christina and Reiko are laughing their asses off while Ronnie shakes hers in dismay.
  10. RHoBH Reunion Part 1 Lisa V: she stayed incredibly calm and it bothered Brandi so much. "No, no no, she burnt that bridge." remains an epic assessment and Lisa's right that Brandi doesn't take responsibility for anything. Why shouldn't she have taken The Slap to the bank? It was a heinous thing of Brandi to do without any provocation. Eileen: she was laser focused in what she said, which wasn't very much, but she articulated why she thinks Brandi can't hold her liquor very well without sounding too judgmental either. Kim: she made excuses for Brandi and fake laughed her way through this first hour. Kim's a mess and she loves how Brandi enables her addict behaviour. Yolanda: she is truly suffering and I don't think there was anything less than genuine about how she seemed. I do think the article about Yolanda getting sold quack medicine has a point, far too many people suffering with chronic illness go down a road that leads them nowhere. I really hope Yolanda gets well. Brandi: she was, understandably, on the defensive because she knew what was coming. Her logic with saying Lisa R doesn't have an eating disorder and that she wouldn't make that judgment because she hasn't seen her eat was faulty because everyone has seen Brandi's drunken behaviour...and because she sent Lisa R a text that she's "an anorexic old hag." What she said about Lisa V wanting to have sex with Andre was disgusting. She should be fired. Kyle: she had very weird makeup and looked like she'd had some filler and Botox injected recently. She looked very hard. She's livid with Brandi and we all know Kyle goes wild when she's angry, but that makeup just made her look like a frozen doll. Lisa R: seven figures for the Depends commercial?! That's amazing! Way to go Lisa Rinna! Andy's suit was awesome.
  11. Indeed. When Russell Armstrong killed himself, that was the Moldavian Massacre for the RH franchises...Andy even responded to a tweet that someone sent saying the very same thing at that time. He neither confirmed nor denied the accuracy of that depiction. But that's where we are. If the RH was 'Dynasty'...we're in season 7 or 8...it's not quite over, but the light has dimmed greatly. OC, as the original, has much life left in it. NYC could have a renaissance this season, the buzz is good. BH has another season or two left in it. ATL has become quite toxic and needs retooling. NJ is on life support. MIA is dead. That Bravo is launching more iterations of RH under different titles speaks volumes about how limited the outlook is at Bravo for new programming and that's trouble for the network.
  12. RH of Melbourne... Gamble is an absolute moron and she's played these women so incorrectly. She really didn't know who she was tangling with when it comes to Janet. Janet is in her 50s, she has been there, done that, and dealt with basic bitches like Gamble for years. And when Gamble told her sister a version of the story that cast Janet as if she was the one who started everything (under a ludicrous premise that because Janet repeated rumours she was stating them as fact which is plainly illogical, a ridiculous premise that she reiterated when Gina explained reality to her sister), it demonstrated how Gamble is a liar whose only interested in casting a victims light on her. She isn't willing to let anything go. She loves that the conflict is all about her and centred on her. When she made the chicken squawking noise into Gina's phone, it showed what a dumb bitch she is. Her sister was either drunk or just trash and so drunk on emotion that I can't have any respect for her whatsoever. Janet was right to leave. And she strutted out of that gallery like a star, to have Gamble run after her like a schoolgirl chasing her crush, it was a win for Janet who was clearly pissed off at how Gamble seems to be setting her up for an attack at every turn. She looked amazing in the white suit she wore to the Sydney hotel. Janet caught Gina in the rumour she spoke to Lydia about: it's exactly the same thing Janet did, she took the rumour back to the source. Janet held herself together very well throughout the episode. She knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. Gina knew how stupid the situation was and seemed taken aback when Gamble's sister said that Gamble hadn't said Janet was repeating rumours. Gina clearly explained how that was different than just stating things as fact and it blew Gamble's credibility as her big personality got awfully small one Gina started to analyze things. Much as Gina tried to wriggle out of it, Janet did get her with the Lydia Rumour Repeat point, Gina did the exact same thing Janet did, she took the rumour back to the source. And then Gina really screwed herself by saying she "embellished the story" about Janet flirting with Rick...that said, I can definitely understand why Gina doesn't get along with Pettifleur, she IS highly strung and that isn't a trait some people really enjoy, I know I don't. Pettifleur had Janet's back when it came to Gamble's drunken pig of a sister, and I liked that...but she's very prickly when it comes to Gina. She's very serious and very highly strung and thinks incredibly highly of herself...and that can get a bit much when she expects everyone else to be as impressed with her. She's also very defensive straight out of the gate, true, she's probably had a hard life, but she's bitter from it. Jackie has become the Greek Chorus, I don't find myself disagreeing with her assessments of things at all. Chyka lives gorgeously. I could kill for that house of hers and the windy picnic she threw. She IS 'Slither Barbie' because she's a lot shadier than she gets credit for. I really liked her scenes at home, it's a nice break from the constant scenes with the other women. Lydia's drunken, bitchy, wind fuelled impression of Gamble was hilarious: she clearly hates her. And that makes Lydia a winner for me for this episode. There very well might be something with her marriage going on, who knows (for now)... I loved how this week's episode was shot: it showed so much of Sydney at its best and the music was fun. RHOMelbourne is really beautifully produced. I think it may be my favourite franchise ever (Vancouver and Cheshire were both fabulous too).
  13. It's incredibly different for LuAnn, but she's got the bone structure to pull off anything.
  14. RHoBH "You do magic now?!" - Kathy Hilton Kim: She thinks that she needs to be treated as the "healthy older sister"...well then she could start by being that since she clearly is not. And she's even an as$hole at Kyle's store. Much as I love a cameo from Kathy Hilton, she's clearly just enabling Kim's behaviour of shoving everything under the carpet. Kim was particularly bizarre when she cornered Lisa R about the use of the word "intervention"...and then swiftly left when the rest of the housewives sat down, totally ignoring Eileen. Kim's worried about her reputation? She ruined that years ago. That fake, faux magnanimous grin she had on her face as Lisa R said she learned she needs to stay out of people's business was infuriating, Kim just wants people to fawn all over her and God forbid someone level her with the truth. Kyle: She is in a terrible relationship with Kim that needs to end for both of their sakes. Kyle is all about conflict: she invites it and she revels in it and she hates it. She is indignant with Brandi whose clearly gotten under her skin. Her life would be much simpler and happier if she just accepted and enjoyed being the realtor's wife who lives in the house that's a lot closer to Sherman Oaks than Beverly Hills than the fake LA socialite who has it all. Lisa R: It didn't make sense that she wouldn't flesh anything out to Kim. She cracked, her backbone snapped. She was right she was in a lose/lose. In addition, she was right that Kim didn't really want to know, because when it Lisa R offered, Kim dismissed it like the spoiled bitch that she is. And it was classy of Lisa R to at least cop to the fact that she caused problems for Brandi by discussing their lunch with Kyle. I believe that Lisa R had good intentions and that she's an emotional person who feels compelled to do things...but she was trying to reason with a crazy person. Brandi: She's a mess, careening out of control and she's of an age that being a mess doesn't work anymore. Her constant mentions of Xanax only served to explain her lunatic behaviour with Lisa V at Adrienne's party. What did she expect Lisa to do after she'd slapped her? That she immaturely walked away from Lisa said it all. Obviously, her father's health had an awful impact on Brandi, understandably so, but she doesn't seem to cope well at all. And then she lied to Kim about the "intervention" discussion. And she shouldn't have because it wasn't said from a malicious place. She did let something slip in her conversation with Kim that was telling: "I want people to worry about me."...That's not an adult perspective. She doesn't understand why she always has to be the bad guy? Poor thing, she isn't connected to reality. Yolanda: For someone who crowed on about not wanting to be "Hollywood Friends" with anyone, Yolanda sure seemed enamoured with Kathy Hilton who appears to have the "Hollywood Friend" motif mastered. And she seemed to take the reins of the Kim/Brandi conversation and have them sit down like adults, which was a good thing. It's sad that she's suffered a relapse of Lyme Disease, I wish her so well. Eileen: She was so right about Lisa R: she loves the truth, it was time to tell it and she didn't quite get there, despite being the horse's mouth. When Lisa R had told her the same thing and she couldn't back it up...sigh. Eileen's razor sharp soap star memory is something so useful in the RH universe: she doesn't remember the gist of things, she remembers things exactly how they happened. I thought it was hilarious, right at the end, when she asked Lisa R "What the hell happened?!"...there's a little Kristen Blake in Eileen, and that's a great thing. I really hope she returns next season, she was wonderful. Lisa V: She is nobody's fool. This season Lisa took a slight step back and, as a result, stayed mostly out of the fray. And when she needed to zero in on behaviour that was out of line, she did it very succinctly. The way she handled Brandi was a thing of beauty, she's right: you don't always get to apologize and then have life go back to normal, that's not how life works. Lisa V is living a great life and these women...they come and go out of her life and she just keeps going being fabulous. Kudos to her I say. And with that, bring on the reunion!
  15. OUCH. Now, you know that's why I've questioned that house she bought with a $1.5 million mortgage...
  16. Gamble did try and come for Pettifleur, and indeed, she failed. However, Pettifleur IS a nouveau riche bitch with very little in the way of class or manners. She was incredibly rude to the salesman at the menswear shop, extremely condescending to him and this isn't the first time we've seen her be awful to people working in the service industry. She's nasty and I dislike her. I'm loving Janet this season, just as I loved her last season, as she's very ballsy with what she says and doesn't really back down. She's a great Australian sheila and they don't make 'em like her anymore. Yeah, she's a mess, but I think she's sincere with how she is: Janet is Janet, good and bad. Chyka...she's a lot shadier than she was last year and it's interesting how Gamble doesn't see that. Obviously, Gamble is really stupid and the axe she's grinding with Janet is a joke, especially with what next week's previews indicate. Gamble is giving the "Hooker/Pole Dancer Rumours" a lot of life by whining and complaining about them so much. Lydia brings absolutely nothing to the show. Zero. She should be fired without a moment's hesitation, nobody would notice her absence. Jackie was wacky at the modelling agency, she should thank her angels that Ben is there to keep her ass in check. Gina is really restrained this season and remains so. It's good that she sees that Gamble is a "fan" and not a friend because that IS the reality of the situation. Gina needs to up her a game a bit because she's basically in Lydia territory of relevance. If she's moved house, we need to see that! Right now Gina is just sitting back and it's not making her relevant.
  17. Dawn's new money, she's common, and she knows it. The class system, despite Downton Abbey's protestations, is alive and well in England. Lauren was the only member of the cast who was born and raised in Cheshire. Now, Northern English people, where Cheshire is, are always going to be slightly rougher and more gobby than Southern English people, the stereotype exists for a reason. It was plainly obvious to me that Lauren has a certain confidence from growing up in the posh set and that even someone as pushy as Dawn couldn't undermine that. Throw in Paul, who is a posh public school boy if there ever was one, and you've got all the makings of a Cheshire power couple. They're old school English and to hell with anyone who messes with them.
  18. It's not that it wasn't super rude and super messy of Paul to go in on Dawn in her home, but I couldn't help but love watching it because Dawn's lorded over everyone the entire season, so it was great to see a total blowhard like Paul capsize her "Legendary Dawn Ward Dinner Party"...I understand Lauren and Paul because they're *very* English and *very* old school and they shoot to kill, they don't play games. I agree that Tanya and Leann are kind of duds, but they do round things out, particularly Tanya whose just sort of there and inoffensive. It will be interesting to see if ITV renews the show.
  19. RHoBH Brandi: Time to get off the cross, silly bitch. She really has no comprehension of how her actions have compounded effect and that everyone brings up her terrible behaviour because it's all the material she gives them. Kim: Addicted pig, constantly screaming she's sober (I just don't believe it). The house conflict is a huge joke because Kyle caught Kim in the simplest of lies, about the house not being in escrow because she wanted Brooke and Farrah to do the listing, and Kim couldn't do a thing about it except shrug her shoulders and scream that Kyle was lying like a high toddler...even though she wasn't and it was plain as day that Kim had just shown her ass in terms of how she lies. She's basically in an abusive relationship with Kyle, the way she came into the kitchen and told her she loved her as Kyle is standing their sobbing over her burned steak? Kim is a sicko and it's high time she was fired. Kyle: It's time she cuts the cord with Kim because as much as I'm not a Kyle fan, she's being abused by her drunk of a sister. She's better off without her. That house conflict, I mean...Kyle has the cancelled cheques! There's no disputing what she's said! I loved the shade she threw about Kim not being able to carry a mortgage. Kathy, much as I adore her judgmental stare, should really cut Kyle some slack because Kim has been given way too many chances. There is nothing for Kim and Kyle to work through, it's time to end it all. It's destructive and disgusting. Yolanda: Seeing her with that vitamin drip while Brandi had a facial. So sad. I wish Yolanda good health, she redeemed herself in the last few episodes to some degree. Eileen and Lisa Rina basically did nothing this episode and I'm cool with that: they have been old fashioned successes this season and I really, really hope they both return. Make it happen Andy! Lisa V: She looked glorious officiating the gay wedding. It's interesting to hear her say she's not going to launch any more restaurants, as that's been her life and Ken's life for nearly 30 years. I hope she stays for next season, though if she doesn't then she's exiting on a real high. She's avoided all the nonsense, and lives a glorious life. She wins. And she should.
  20. +1 to everything, except I do understand why Paul didn't want to hear about Magali's sister, it was a dinner party, that's a downer story, I get what he was saying, he just wasn't elegant about it. Dawn made an ass of herself when she made her storyline all about having a baby, which was just ludicrous. I loved the show, it was great, ITV is on the fence about it because the ratings have been iffy, but it was fabulous and I don't even think the cast needs tweaking. The show was beautifully shot and perfectly cast.
  21. What's crazy is how long it took Nene to buy a house. Given her previously impoverished background you'd think the first thing she'd want to do is secure a future for herself. She's still got a crazy mortgage on the place which sold for 2.1 million, so the 750k was her down payment. It's buying a property with a mortgage at this stage of the game that doesn't make sense. She should have paid cash and bought something smaller. Reality TV is so fleeting and while Nene ha she's HSN business those don't always last a long time either. Living beyond ones means is guaranteed to fail.
  22. RHoBH I didn't feel like very much happened in this episode aside from The Slap...but here's what I've gleaned... Eileen: By far and away the most logical, level headed, no game playing woman ever to grace these franchises. She just said exactly what she was thinking, didn't back down, didn't necessarily get nasty, didn't pick on anyone, just laid it out there on that damn boat and didn't pretend that going shopping with Kim and Brandi was OK or normal. Eileen made those awful cows uncomfortable by telling the truth. And credit to her and Lisa R that they civilly and intelligently worked out their crap immediately. I am convinced those two made a blood pact that they would not turn on each other when filming started. Daytime Sisters Forever. Lisa R: She is a people pleaser, as Lisa V pointed out quite succinctly. She cracked under the psychosis of that pig Kim Richards. And that's a shame, because she was fearless last week. But Lisa R wanted to paint a shiny veneer over the ugliness. And it just hollowed her out. Kyle: I have a newfound sympathy for Kyle. She is truly up sh*t creek when it comes to Kim. She cannot fight against her, she will never, ever, win with her. Kim is a disgusting manipulator who is illogical at her core. Kyle will never, ever, win. And she knows it. And she seems slightly defeated. Kathy is the rich one, Kim is the mess everyone cleans up and Kyle is the put upon baby of the family who wants to play with the popular, beautiful people, where life seems easy. And it's never going to happen. She'll always be the realtor's wife who lives in the house that's a little too close to Sherman Oaks than it should be for a Beverly Hills matron. Yolanda: She's clearly struggling with Lyme disease. For all the shots I and others take at Yolanda and her shady crap, she's not healthy, and frankly that means she hasn't got a damn thing in this world. I wish her good health, I think she'd put it to good use. Kim: This vile pig kept relatively quiet this episode. But one thing is clear: if she isn't being fawned over she's a raging piece of sh*t and a foul banshee who, for the record, clearly fell off the wagon when she took Monty's medication. And I'd bet that isn't the first time she's done that...allegedly, I doubt she's ever been sober. Brandi: She's an ugly drunk. And she can't sit at the Big Kids Table because she has the emotional maturity of a gnat. She does not comprehend boundaries, she always pushes against them and then gets upset when someone firmly says No. I have no use for her. She should be fired without question. Lisa V: Lisa is a lover, not a fighter. But she's steely British to her core and when Brandi touched her, that was the end of the road for her. She crossed a line with Lisa. And Lisa's right. It was disrespect at its core. Lisa's blog is illuminating about how much the slap actually upset her: she went to the men's washroom on the boat to have a cry and then pulled herself together. Stiff upper lip. I hope Ken firmly banishes Brandi from the Vanderpump-Todd kingdom. She has disrespected her gravely.
  23. RH of Cheshire... I enjoyed the few scenes Magali had, her clothes are so bright and beautiful - she knows how to dress for Dubai! Dawn and Ashley trying for the baby - it's Countess LuAnn de Lesseps levels of ludicrous, I can hear Dawn's joints creaking she's so old. If she and Ashley just want folks to realize they can still keep it hot, got it, but don't kid us about the storyline. Dawn has been photographed out and about just this week and she obviously isn't pregnant - like sands through the hourglass, so are the viability of Dawn's ovaries. Ampika is an IDIOT for not being with Mark. He's the father of her son and clearly adores her and she clearly still loves him - dump that stupid mystery man and move forward and grow up! She was lovely with Mark's mom, whose the classic Northern Englishwoman. Leann is so tiresome and I loved how Ampika nuked her about how she cleans up Dawn's disastrous life. She could not rebut a single thing Ampika said. That she kept droning on about a baby - gimme a break. Stop talking, start *******. Then you'll get your baby. I do love Lauren and Paul - they are two peas in a pod. Sure, they probably have a bit of dysfunction going on, but they're a riot and they 'get' each other. I also love how they really do not give a damn about Dawn's feelings because they think she's stupid. Tanya is a non entity on the show. She's likable and her story of the credit card was fun - but it all adds up to a bit of whatever.
  24. RH of Melbourne Janet: She is so thirsty and gossipy and freewheeling. Janet's shady, but she's also fun and doesn't take herself too seriously. She's in her mid 50s and has been there, done that, and bought the t shirt. So she doesn't mind throwing around her mouth Pettitfleur: Like Andrea before her, the 'book' of hers is a boring storyline that nobody cares about. And she appeared to pull the rug out from under that friend of hers when she decided her 'book' needed to be written solely by her. Gina: Pretty much sitting on the sidelines. She isn't nearly as enjoyable when she's just sitting back passively. Obviously, she was badly burned by Andrea, but she's so docile this season. Gamble: She doesn't know how to play the Real Housewives game. That she exploded about being called a call girl/stripper only gives credence to those rumours, as her fiance said. That she'd then throw up an (admitted) false statement about Janet sleeping around for heroine (of all things) goes to show how easily rattled Gamble is. Lydia: It seems she was very well acquainted with Shane Warne (Elizabeth Hurley's ex) and I wonder just how intimately she knows him... Chyka: Not quite as Switzerland as she was last year. Her closet is great. Jackie: She is lovely and fun. But she's adding very little this season aside from some levity...but judging from the previews, this will change. I can't wait!
