  1. I most certainly have. Ruby Wax Meets...Joan Collins from 2003 was a really excellent interview. Ruby and Joan are friends behind the cameras and Joan, at 70 then, seemed to really be into letting it fly, I think that's what's enhanced her lore in the last decade: it's as if she lowered the curtain at Oz, except she's still as fabulous and glamorous as ever. Speaking of Dame Joan, this was taken on Sunday, as she had breakfast at her St. Tropez villa with her friend Nigel Havers:
  2. OC If I didn't hate Meghan and want her off the damn show for being a succubus of awful before this episode (and I did) this episode clinched it. She was just a piece of sh*t blurting to Tamra what Shannon said. Talk about a pot stirrer and a gossip. And then she had the gall to challenge Shannon to leave?! Meghan is truly stupid if she thinks the audience prefers Tamra to Shannon: she's backing the wrong horse. Vicki and Shannon appear to have a very real friendship - though based on the previews it looks like Shannon's neurosis will capsize things. The story of Shannon being friends with David's mistress was awful. Poor woman. This season of OC has been really solid - relatively organic. NYC Ahhh they came out swinging for the finale. This is going to be a juicy reunion. Ramona: she's a total hot mess whose probably got some kind of mental health issue going on with how she blurts out nasty, hateful comments and then immediately apologizes. Bethenny: nice apartment, I thought the placement of the master bedroom adjacent to the entry door to be seriously flawed. Her sense of humour and zest for getting through things really made this season work for me. Heather: her drive by therapy demonstrated why she's totally unlikeable now. Get rid of Heather. Holla! Kristen: poor thing is the most worthless addition to a housewives franchise ever. She should just never speak to the press again and go back to being a nameless model walking the Manhattan streets with the nanny she can't really afford. Carole: she looks like a horse. I'm over her. I think she is lying about denying she apologized to LuAnn about barging into their room, she's afraid of pissing off Heather. Dorinda: love her! You just do you, Dorinda, what great casting. Sonja: deluded, I don't ever need to hear "International Fashion and Lifestyle Brand" ever again...but I do like that she just went and demolished Kristen. LuAnn: she annihilated Carole. She really was an assassin with that "you don't have any [children]!" line...she hit Carole where she lives. And rightly so, LuAnn can sleep with whoever she wants, but Carole went after LuAnn's nieces boyfriend - and some rumours suggest Carole befriended LuAnn's niece before she broke up with Adam.
  3. I was stunned when I saw Trinny - I worship at her alter. It's so interesting that Dorinda is in the Trinny set - just delightful. And it was clear that Dorinda and Trinny are real friends. That Trinny had a dinner booked that she had to go to but still made it to Dorinda's party: touching and lovely. I think the only one who didn't come to see Sonja fail was LuAnn. Much as Sonja and Ramona are BFFs I think a lot of that has to do with Ramona feeling like she's superior to Sonja. I recall when Sonja decided to take down the portrait of herself and her husband from her dining room it was LuAnn she called on. Totally agree about the businesspeople Sonja surrounds herself with. They don't seem legitimate at all. It was just plain weird that they couldn't tackle any of the basic questions head on about merchandising and comparative market analysis.
  4. Location, location, location. This is a simple, modest home that has no business going for a million dollars. Do not get me wrong; I like it, but in my neck of the woods (Midwest), it might fetch half that. Like you say, it's about location. Thousand Oaks is a wonderful, extremely safe (in fact one of the safest in the USA), beautiful, well aged community that is extremely slow growing (if not static) and Robin's specific home is in a gated community, which only enhances its cache.
  5. Here's a link to the LA Times story on Robin Strasser's new house in Thousand Oaks, California: 37 pictures, I'm willing to bet she's already taken a sledge hammer to most of it, but the backyard is what would sell it for many people, plus it's in a gated community and is very Knots Landing. http://www.latimes.com/business/realestate/hot-property/la-fi-hotprop-robin-strasser-house-20150804-story.html
  6. OC I actually find the Tamra/Shannon/Vicki trio quite organic. Particularly when they were busy getting drunk at the bar before Meghan hauled Heather and Lizzie back. I'm enjoying OC this season, a good balance of light and heavy moments and the ladies gel...because they all know Meghan is heinous. Honestly, this chick makes me sick. Her whining and bitching and fake tears about not being the mom of Jim's kids (WHO HAVE/HAD MOTHERS!) is so weird and immature and stupid. Meghan's really made an ass of herself on national television. She's gross and far too stupid for a 30 year old. She's very fixated on how everyone is older than her and mocking them for it. She'll regret that when she's dumped. Shannon's marriage is still a trainwreck and it's sad to watch and she shouldn't have it on TV. NYC The last two episodes were very watchable. The London trip for Dorinda and Carole was great. Carole was so much more likeable away from Heather. Most importantly: Dorinda is friends with Trinny Woodall, who I am a HUGE fan of. I knew I loved Dorinda, but now that I know she's friends with Trinny, it just confirms my good taste. Bethenny demolished Ramona.
  7. Kim Richards was arrested for shoplifting on Sunday and spent the night in jail before posting $5,000 bail. She allegedly stole $600 worth of products from a Target in the San Fernando Valley. So so many details about this make me sigh at how pathetic she is, particularly after that really nasty interview she gave to Entertainmeny Tonight where she trashed Lisa V, Lipsa and Eileen. She's not just an addict anymore - she's a thief!
  8. Robin Strasser has moved to Thousand Oaks, California, she closed on a house that has a curved staircase and a pool and several mature oak trees in the backyard, in June. She's shipped the Dorian Lord portrait out west. She's rented out her Upper East Side townhouse: http://ny.curbed.com/archives/2015/02/17/rent_a_soap_opera_stars_upper_east_side_home_from_the_1840s.php#more

  10. Enjoying a yacht moment in St. Tropez...
  11. So Wendy disclosed publicly that Big Kev has beat her? Gosh, that's awful. Wendy's been living in her house in New Jersey for years now, I think after the TV show started she moved into a proper house - and it's very nice but also surprisingly normal. Wendy is very proudly from New Jersey, the other week she was saying that she really needs a drive thru bank, a drive thru McDonalds etc, she couldn't imagine living in NYC.
  12. Ugh, that is so sad. Wendy has said on Howard Stern that Big Kev "knows how to put her in her place" and knows how to "handle a woman like her"...and it's no secret that he cheated on her when she was pregnant with Little Kev. It very well may be that the show is Wendy's escape from that kind of domestic misery.
  13. Wendy's after show for her last episode of the season featured some tears - sometimes it seems like Wendy can't believe her luck, other times it seems like there's something sad going on behind the scenes with her, who knows!
  14. OC Leann Edmonds died earlier today. Her poor daughter.
  15. I'm happy to have Taylor/Shanna back. She's my favourite grifter.
  16. Security, cameramen and producers are with the housewives at all times when they travel. How is LuAnn a whore? She's a single woman. She can "do whatever and blow whomever she wants so long as she can breathe and kneel" (copyright Samantha Jones). So she took a guy home from the bar...so what? If he was indeed married, that's on him, not on her. Frankly, it's a naive perspective to say that LuAnn is a whore because she slept with a man while on vacation as a 50 year old woman with grown children. She's 50, she's a young, vital, sexy woman. Why shouldn't she do as she pleases?

No, she'll drive them away. Audiences are tired of fighting and they're really tired of bigotry and broken records. There's a reason The Talk keeps growing, year after year: it's a consistent, well produced, easy to watch hour of television where all of the hosts get along, discuss topics relatively politely and appear to like each other. The View has burned itself out. Next season is make or break for it.
  18. NYC Team LuAnn all the way. Heather overreacted incredibly like a hysterical child, she must have been so much fun in college...tearing through the house like a rumpled mess, screaming and crying at everyone still asleep, only for LuAnn to emerge in an untied robe, bikini revealing an incredible body, chic sunglasses shielding her eyes, her hair looking perfect and she got Right. Up. In. Heather's. Face. She was deliciously withering with how she shrugged off Heather's hysterics. Her "Don't Be Uncool" speech will be a housewives classic. Kristen's a bitch and I'm glad Bethenny didn't back down about how crappy it was of her to speak to the Daily News about her. This hilarious one was Sonja preaching the wisdom of hooking up randomly, she really is a master of that game. "Ramona's green. She's green to the game." Perfect. Carole is a snake.

It's a mistake to fire Nicole. She was the best part of the panel this season.
  20. Well folks, Kim fled rehab: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3160834/Kim-Richards-fled-rehab-middle-night-sister-Kyle-family-attended-Nicky-Hilton-s-wedding-UK.html
  21. That's Susan Lucci's ugliest magazine cover - goodness know why they airbrushed her to look like a Charlie McCarthy doll.
  22. When did Sonja get arrested for assaulting a police officer or maliciously go after Eileen Davidson or Lisa Rinna (when they were right!) or get so trashed at her daughter's wedding that her family cut her off or have a pit bull so poorly trained that it bit several friends and relatives? That's right, never. Sonja and Kim are in no way comparable aside from the fact that Sonja hits the booze hard.
  23. A Lorenzo Lamas meme?! What a winner. All I can say is I hope Janice Dickinson's lawsuit bleeds him dry. Thanks to those documents her case against him for defamation just got a whole lot stronger. What a son of a bitch, I'm so glad his 'legacy' has been destroyed by the truth.
  24. OC Meghan is the worst housewife in Bravo history. She isn't RHOV's Jody Claman levels of evil, but she's awful and horrendous to watch. She's a social climbing nitwit who just might be a beard for Jim Edmonds. They don't have poor chemistry, he seems to hate her. I was so glad Shannon called that bitch back and told her she had nothing to prove and she's right about that! Heather whining about Terry working too much bothers me because it's due to her wanting gilded toilet seats that Terry has to work non-stop. If they chose a simple life (even by OC standards) she could have Terry around as much as she likes. It was great to see Jeana back - she is steely as ever. It would be just great to have her return full time. And then there was the most gut wrenching moment when Vicki got the news that her mother had died. The OG of the OC showed what a real housewife she actually is for letting that moment air. No other housewife has the guts and sense of 'this is who I am' without guardedness to let scenes like that air. She said to Andy that she signed up for a reality show and that was her reality. The primal, guttural screams were the stuff that only grief can bring out. It was so interesting to see how Vicki reverted to being a scared little girl asking "Whose going to worry about me?" which was just heartbreaking. Shannon, Tamra, Heather and Jeana all had different approaches with Vicki and not one of them put a foot wrong. Brooks really stepped up too. There's something about the OC ladies that the other franchises don't have: a certain level of camaraderie that the other US franchises just don't have. It may be that the OC is a small enough community to foster some sort of bond. I don't know what it is, but that moment with Vicki exemplified what it is.
  25. Oh, I don't like seeing Katherine Helmond looking so plain. She was so glamorous as Mona on Whose The Boss and stayed that way for so long, a shame she threw in the glamour towel.
