Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NYC What a great episode. This season is working for me in every way. Ramona and Bethenny was great to watch, as they bonded over their lives imploding. I just don't find Sonja to be as delusional as everyone makes her out to be. I think Sonja is crafty and wily and stupid, but not delusional, I think she knows all about her limitations and problems, and prefers to craft a different image. I liked that she was doing squats in her wedges. LuAnn continues to be a winner for me. Her arrival on the beach with eggs a la Francaise was hilarious. I really dig Dorinda and I'm glad she went in on Heather's stupid ass. Heather and Carole have really irritated me this season and they've contributed nothing in terms of storyline. In some ways they're more useless than Kristen. The yacht scenes were good fun and a nice balance to the intensity of the other scenes.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OC Meghan is the bitch I have said she was from the first episode. She needs an assistant? That husband of hers seems pretty dense. Really dumb. The way she discussed her charity goals said it all. She wants people to like her. But she's a smug, nasty bitch and can't keep a lid on it so that isn't going to happen. That charity speech was beyond stilted. Shannon is so highly strung. Her impression of Meghan was spot on. The violins had to be coming out for Shannon as she crowed about Meghan being "malicious" to her with not inviting her to the party. Shannon nailed it that Meghan has an overblown ego. Heather's house seems incredibly vulgar and overdone. It doesn't seem like it'll be chic, it seems overblown and tacky. Vicki and Brooks seem to have a real deal relationship. I happened to like how she dealt with Meghan being a total bitch with Shannon, she put her stake in the sand - good for her! And I enjoyed that little scene with her and Tamra discussing her implants. The thing about Vicki is the older she's getting the more honest and blunt she's become. Common sense is a great look on her. Vicki got in a great burn with "It's not all yours, Meghan. It's all Jim's." Granny Tamra. So far I'm finding her pretty funny. This is going to be a relatively positive season for her - the "Shannon should have just showed up!" line made me laugh. And her "from one ex-mean girl to another, don't be mean, it doesn't work out" seems relatively prophetic. Her honesty about fleeing the boring charity party was great. Another good appearance by Lizzie. The "friend" role is working for her. It was great that she called Shannon and Vicki to ditch Meghan's party. Her husband seems way happier and more relaxed too.

Nene Leakes, otherwise known as 2015's Michael Moriarty or David Caruso. It will be very interesting to see how she fares outside of the NBCUniversal bubble and without a stead stream of exposure from the RH franchise.

The thing about LuAnn's "singing career" is that she's clearly aware of how bad/hilarious it all is but is game to have fun:

You said it so perfectly, Cat, Jeana Keough knows where all the bodies are buried. She is steely and I love her. She needs to return full time. The OC needs her. The moment with David and Shannon's daughters was so cringe worthy. They never should have done that to their kids. I like Terry Dubrow, always have, very likely always will, he's a skilled doctor and a nice guy. But Heather has rubbed me the wrong way since the tail end of last season - she thinks she's lady of the manor when she's like any other Orange County housewife, despite her protestations to the contrary. She's changed, and that's fine, but she shouldn't be acting so superior when she spends money like a drunken sailor and then brags about it just like the women she mocks.

Jeana is absolutely needed full time. She would have been perfect on that Napa trip or accompanying Vicki to Florida.

I have no use for Meghan or the bible thumper either. Miscast. Especially Meghan who seems so basic and nasty. Shannon and David are sad to watch, that golf cart moment was illuminating because that's how it's always going to be, they're always going to have these issues and they should call it quits. It's bizarre that she doesn't see divorce as an option. Staying in this marriage will warp her kids. Tamra finding God? Um. She didn't fake that well. Heather is classless. She talks about money way too much to 1) have as much as she'd like us to believe 2) have any grace and style. Running over budget on a house isn't an achievement, it's a failure. I don't know why she thinks it's cute. Really missed seeing Vicki. Why didn't they have cameras following her to Florida?! We could have had another classic "My boobs want to come out and play" moment!

Which isn't ever going to happen. Sony produces Watch What Happens Live, and is a production partner with Andy. That lawsuit of her has burned more bridges than she ever could have realized.

I won't be at all surprised to hear about Brandi Glanville financial problems in a year or two. Once she doesn't have regular media exposure she will go the way of Sheree and become totally irrelevant. It's an inevitability that all housewives face. It isn't as if she had a career of any significant value before the show. And as I always said, instead of renting that house she should have bought a condo. Much as we all had a good laugh at OC Lauri and her Cat Crap Condo, she always had a roof over her head that she owned. Not all of the housewives can say the same. Ultimately, she tangled with The Queen and she lost. Checkmate, indeed.

YES! So long, Brandi, enjoy obscurity!

And it doesn't suit her at all. Nene hasn't had good wig game in years. I wonder what on earth she's thinking?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The Housewives franchise has been bleeding viewers for years. There comes a moment for every single franchise where they get toxic and mean and dark and there's just not much coming back from it. OC I am liking this season a lot but I think whoever is casting this should be fired. Meghan is incredibly nasty and she's hardly done anything. I don't like her and I don't like watching her. She is not Tamra who, although we all loathe her, is compulsively watchable like a major train crash. It was interesting to see Tamra and Brooks because it's hard to tell which one of them is better at faking pleasantries. Brooks might not actually be faking it. Vicki seemed down for a great time and she's fun, hot mess that she can be. It's silly of her to hop back on the Tamra train, but they're both acutely aware of how we are all glued to our screens when they fight. I'm so glad they did a flashback to Vicki's epic "Tamra's miserable" monologue at the reunion. Shannon and David are sad to watch and seeing their kids was pitiful and unnerving. Their daughters giggled and awkwardly smiled through that cringe worthy forgiveness discussion. They should get divorced and call it a day. Their marriage is over. It might not be this year or even this decade but they will divorce. Shannon shouldn't kid herself that she forgives him. She's pissed and he wants out of the marriage. Not much Heather, looks like we'll endure tons of her next week. Most importantly in this episode...JEANA! Goodness gracious was it nice to see her again. She's looking fantastic and her patented disinterested banter is gold.

Great little interview with John James when he attended the Friars Club Induction for Dame Joan. He describes the first time he met Dame Joan (she asked him how much money he was making!) and then describes how Dame Joan was a perfectionist on set. http://uinterview.com/news/john-james-meeting-joan-collins-dynasty-memories-exclusive-video/

NYC "She doesn't give two sh*ts about me, that's what it comes down to." - Kristin. Bingo, dumbass. I can't wait to see Ramona rip into her for being so dumb. Carole is the snake that LuAnn says she is. The way she ferrets gossip around is so tacky. Carole's a grown woman but she acts like a 14 year old highschool girl who needs to spread everything around so nobody notices what a ho she is. Heather is grating as hell. The way she clenches that big 'ol jaw of hers when Bethenny shot her down was quite the sight to behold. Her poor husband launching in a tone deaf rendition of "Happy Birthday To You!" in a desperate attempt to cover the tension... Not much LuAnn and Sonja this episode, though I laughed when Bethenny said the comment about you know a dinner is wild when Sonja Morgan is the sanest person at the table. Ramona really needs to have a Waiting to Exhale moment and burn all of Mario's crap and move on big time with her life. Enough is enough! She deserves better and Mario is never going to be better. It's funny to see Avery so grown up. Dorinda is a scream. What a great addition. Overall, such a great season - can't wait for next week.

OC - loved it! As always it's great to have the OC girls back. Oh, those taglines are so bad - except Vicki's...she is the OG of the OC indeed. Vicki is the story that I can keep following without any complaints...she is so blatantly herself, so totally incapable of Meghan is unlikeable. We really don't need to hear her say "Jim Edmonds" ever again. It's as if he's spoken of in the third person, what a douche, both of 'em. Shannon remains riveting to watch. Her horrible marriage and nervous energy captures the screen. The April Fool's Day story of the affair being exposed is right out of Y&R (back when it was good) or DAYS (when the headwriters aren't asleep at the wheel). It's a gripping story, and it's not that I feel sorry for her, because she's a terrible nag, but Heather is vulgar. Nouveau riche and tacky. It doesn't matter if she has a porte cochere to park under - she'll never be classy. Lynne! It was great to see her plastic face - and she's a grandmother?! And it's Raquel's baby? Hilarious. What a messy family she has, but she's keeping up her Botox injections, bless her heart. Tamra is trashy as ever. From her annual boob job to that white trash baby shower. Sigh. She never changes and this season will be no exception.

NYC I only have three things to say about this episode... Sonja is getting more Grey Gardens as the episodes go by. Dorinda's Berkshire house is so interesting and the story of her imagining she'd own it as a child was sweet. I could have boiled my own blood with the way Heather was conducting herself. What a bitch. That nice, sweet, caring husband of hers doesn't deserve her.

No, she left America shortly after her role on AW ended, and moved to Europe with a very rich boyfriend. She was later diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and treated successfully, moved back to Sydney, Australia, and has done a lot of charity work while taking acting work on television, film and theatre. I loved Duncan's Iris. She wasn't McKinsey's character at all, but I thought she was just fabulous.

Bravo needs to pay attention to this and fire her from the show. If we're not rewarding thirst we surely shouldn't be rewarding an addict who can't get well.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I loved NYC this week! Carole's lack of work ethic and her anger at being compared to Sonja was interesting given that she and Sonja aren't nearly as far apart in terms of behaviour than Carole would like to think. The big difference is Carole holds her liquor better and Sonja's got a way better dermatologist. Sonja's trying to be self aware but she sinks herself with talk of "abundance candles"...that thing got snuffed out years ago. She needs to light a Good FICO Score candle and call it a day. Great to see LuAnn cry a little bit when she realized how lucky she is and how blessed she is for how things have turned out. LuAnn got real with herself in the last couple of years and it's been a life changer. She appears much lighter, more fun, enjoying the moment. That scene with Bethenny and her stepdad admitting that her mother "never wanted a child"...that had to sting. But he seemed like a good man, very self effacing and honest. He isn't wrong that Bethenny is stuck in the past because her past informs everything she does and is. I hope they work things out before he's gone, it'll do her good. Dorinda's few scenes were good. She is a breath of fresh air and such a nice addition to the show. Ramona's dating - good for her! Kristen remains as irrelevant as ever. As does Heather.
