ALL: Errors, Myths, Omissions & Firsts that weren't
As stated in the SFT thread, Kathy wasn't even on the show in Feb 1970, yet alone accepting Scott's proposal. He was married to Lauri at that time. This is from Page 5 of this thread, so I don't know why you are now contradicting yourself.

Donna,I don't know where you are getting your dates from. In Feb 1970 Scott was married to Laurie and Kathy had not been introduced as yet.

Murder, She Wrote
Did Angela do any other projects whilst MSW was running? Did she have a TV movie deal, for example, resulting in the likes of 'Mrs Harris'?

ALL: Couple vs SUPER Couple?
Bill may have stated he didn't like marriages but on DOOL,Y&R and B&B, he married off all the major couples. Victor,Ashley, Nikki, Jack had several marriages under his tenure. So I still don't get why Doug and Julie were a special exception.

Info about the LOL opening is a little murky but that opening shot was changed to a slo mo of a flower opening, possibly when the show went to a half hour. But that was short lived and a new opening with a starry sky replaced it until the color episodes brought the flower in the window opening.

And now we have a 1972 episode of Secret Storm turn up. Good times!

I took it more that she realized time had moved on and to the cast and crew she was just some day player actress. Realistically, at that point the chance of a contract role on a soap was slim. Decided that she really didn't want to be playing bit parts here and there just for the sake of it. I don't think she was blaming AW, just facing up to facts.

"Secret Storm" memories.
@MissPalmer thank you for alerting us to this. Great to see new episodes and in colr. The 72 episode is from March/April. Robert Loggia departed late April and Judy Lewis at the same time or shortly after. Loggia only played Frank for a few months. At this point his movie/primetime career was shaky as he had a drinking problem and other issues. How were they written out? Ellen Barber was playing Joanna. Slick Jones cast list had Audrey Landers in 72 but now we know Ellen was there sooner. Was Gabrielle Upton headwriter at this point? Looks like it was trousers for the women and turtlenecks for the men.

The right lighting is essential for taped shows. Otherwise things look cheap, with shadows etc. I remember when Mary Ellis Bunim came to ATWT she introduced key lighting to focus and flatter the actors. Of course, this takes time and money (and care) Hopefully BTG will address this. I found the promo a little cliche with the couple writhing around and a face slap. I get they need visuals to get attention, but a lot of viewers might think 'seen that all before' as it had an 80's soap feel. Roll on Wk 1 and let the discussions begin!

Maybe CBS were thinking in terms of a Summer run-something lower cost-hence on tape with no location scenes.

ALL: What are your lost soap media "holy grails" for 2025?
I would love to see some issues/scans of Afternoon TV magazine from the late 70's/early 80's. There were a lot of interesting interviews/reviews etc.

Primetime Soaps
Does anybody know more about this? It was on tape and there was no location footage. So a good cast, but a lower budget. Was it for late night perhaps?
