K-Pop Appeciation Thread
And it seems especially that the OP of this entire thread get the 1,000th post! I like Guess Who but I wish we could have seen the boys and their faces in that lyric video. Still, I liked the underground, secretive tone of the mv. I am so pleased they are getting a release after some sad rumors recently about Hyunseung seeming ready to quit and some Korean fans taking exception to his perceived attitude. I am also glad that Beast are releasing it under their own label and have much more control over their careers. Cube seems to be in some financial mess and I'm just hoping Beast and 4minute get a chance to do their thing and get some success because I don't think Cube was doing a stellar job with either of them for the past year.

THIS. I notice that whenever they have a stage performance or product to promote, then they start the pander towards "mah gays." It's a money thing. But the disdain seems to be just below the surface -- just ask Brandon. It's ironic that they damn Chris with effeminate stereotypes, but he seems to be genuinely close to, loving and protective of his wife, gay, straight or whatever.

Yass I hope she got her ass dragged for her manipulations and inconsistencies. Where did Lipsa and Eileen go? Both? Neither? Wendy's? (Hell, I'd go to Wendy's too!)

OMG! That RHoA Reunion trailer looks EH-PIC! And the way everybody said "Oooooo" at the end! I agree with Antoyne, Kim is going to earn her stripes at this Reunion. I see Cynthia being a non-factor, however. That seating plan is so atrocious. Who OKed this?? Love her or hate her, Erika should not be at the end of the couch. She brought drama to the season. It should really be (from L to R): Kathryn, Kyle, Lisa V, Andy, Lisa Rinna, Yolanda, Erika, Eileen. Or Lisa R on the Vanderpump couch with Kyle bumped to third.

Welp. Apparently David Foster might be seeing somebody... ...and it is Selma Blair, of Cruel Intentions fame and who is currently playing Kris Jenner on The People vs. OJ. http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/david-foster-and-selma-blair-spotted-on-a-dinner-date-w166442

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I thought you guys were joking but DAMN Gillian has a strong jaw on her! Petty would do well to listen to her sister about the fact that she is stuck up, self-absorbed and fake, and that's why people feel alienated from her. Gillian said it bluntly and simply but I guess Petty didn't absorb that advice. She almost -- ALMOST -- had the ladies on-side regarding Lydia, and really played the victim thing to the hilt. However, her true colors showed through when she took Gamble handing her invitation out last as a personal affront and tried to make the situation All About Her. Right on, Gamble! Throw that bitch's invite into the ocean! Janet's talking head was hilarious. Lydiot is truly the dumbest bitch alive. And the most condescending. The HWs have clearly edged her out of the group for a while because she's a fake-ass and a snake (qualities needed to stir the pot on these shows, lbr) -- the only scenes she can show us are of her and her poor housekeeper. I don't know what to think of her husband giving her a car and not being around to give it in person. Also, I thought Lydia was looking a bit porky in the face at Gamble's party. I've always thought Lydia was one of the naturally most gorgeous HWs in all the franchises, but her face was hella bloated. Is it stress eating? Trouble at home? Booze? Or just one of those days where you are not looking your best? Maybe a combination of all four. In any case, even Chyka was like "Lydia is dead to me" during the episode so I don't think things are looking up for the Lydiot. Gamble and Wolfpup are just too cute with each other.

Planning to watch RHoMelbourne later... RHoA: I thought this was going to be a filler episode (and in a way it was...). However, Ayden, Dylan and the trip to Fort Dix made the episode for me. I was expecting a trashfest with the Bravo cameras rushing the prison while Phaedra and Apollo try to outdo each other as to Who is the Best Parent? Instead, I thought it was tastefully done and non-intrusive. We didn't see the meeting, thankfully. I doubt the boys were even aware of the camera in the car. Moreover, the scenes in the hotel beforehand were lowkey and sweet enough so that it would seem to the boys that it was just another day of Bravo filming. The best thing Phaedra could have done (and lord knows I criticize her shady ass) was not to tell her children where they were going until the absolute last minute, just in case the visit was cancelled. And that's exactly what she did. Having her mother there also helped. Those boys are absolutely lovely, sweet-natured and polite. I don't think it's coaching for the sake of the cameras either. Dylan who cannot stop giving kisses ("Stop kissing his knee!") and talks about KA-RA-TAY is adorable and affectionate. Ayden is angelic, and the way he thanked the driver for putting him in the car was the sweetest thing. Those boys save Phaedra on the show because they really look like the product of good parenting. Honestly, I would have been happy for half-an-hour of the Ayden & Dylan Show tbh. Similarly, for Kenya, having her aunt Lori around automatically brings out a more relaxed, happy Kenya. Aunt Lori seems straight up and full of common sense. Her reaction to the unfinished house is basically the audience's reaction. After weeks of looking so bad, perceived to be going after Kim and her husband, Kenya needs some positive light. I have to believe professional jealousy is at the root of Kenya's feud with Kim, coupled with a personality clash. Kim is not going to play the game the way Kenya wants to play it, and that frustrates Kenya no end. She went after Kim thinking she was a weak link. She mistook her polite exterior for stupidity, and that was a mistake. Kim is just not going to rise to Kenya's provocations like Porsha did. That may make for 'bad TV' as far as Bravo is concerned but IMO it exposed Kenya to negative audience reaction. Not to mention, I wonder how she and her long-time friend Brandon are doing after what aired. I honestly forgot that Kandi was on the show. Imagine my surprise when she popped up! Speaking of popping, her heavily-pregnant VTs make my life. It reminds me of when preggers Bethenny was narrating the Crazy Island stuff on RHoNY ("Bye, loon") and looked like she was about to pop. I am not here for the Todd/Mama Joyce/doctor's visit stuff, but Kandi grumpily shading people in her VTs (and getting called out at Reunion about it) I am here for.

Ooooooh, sounds great. I like LuAnn (mostly) and have found her great so far in the first half of Season 6. I cannot wait for the legendary stuff! I wish I could join you all for season 8, believe me, I do. I don't do TV/Cable, so I watch through Hulu, whenever they post the episodes. They have yet to post season 7! However, maybe I can get the episodes online, as long as I don't have to download anything. shhhhh

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
lmao Not knowing any of the backstage issues, I find the show fun, crisp, with just the right amount of drama and pettiness. Of course, Aviva's constant absence did lead me to think she was causing trouble. If this is messy and inconsistent, I cannot wait for Season 7!!! If you're a LuAnn fan (I am!) you're going to love Season 7. She has a number of scenes that are legendary and will go down in housewives lore. YRBB, I don't want to spoil anything for you because I'd rather hear your take when you finally get around to watching. I'll only say Hurry up and watch so you can join us for RHoNY Season 8 when it finally begins! LuAnn is usually tarred as a fraud by Ramona et al., but I felt Lu's presence/reaction to certain events in S7 really showed up the fraudulence and hypocrisy of some other HWs last season (naming no names... YRBB you better start watching s7 so I can rant!) RHoNJ: Tre and Juicy did an interview last night on Entertainment Tonight (bless my soul, I forgot that Cameron Matheson is on there as an anchor. SO Much better than on AMC). Juicy Joe as usual stole the spotlight from Tre because this guy is incapable of not spilling some truths, even when Teresa doesn't want him too. I know he is a felon and he definitely needs to be held accountable for his actions and do the time... but I will miss him on RHoNJ because I found his no more f*cks to give attitide legit (a word I bet has never been employed to describe Joe -- and I bet the word 'employed' hasn't either!) entertaining. http://youtu.be/eQKFc5RS7AQ

Agreed with Gray Bunny. Season 6 of NY was messy and inconsistent bevause they had to chop and change and make allowances for Aviva being so difficult. Wait til you get to Season 7 YRBB: I thought it was so much better and more entertaining.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh lord I hope we never go back to Season 4. An ugly, ratchety, trashy, toxic season. And that's saying something. I get anxiety rash just thinking about Brandi or Witchy Poo! RHoBH: Ok I'm watching. Very interesting watching the Yol/David scene at home. David starts playing the piano, and the look that crosses Yolanda's face as she moves away from him after giving 'My Love' a backhug -- very resentful. The fact that David is focused on his music at the moment and not on her and her Invisible Disease really makes her mad. omg when Andrea Bocelli walks in and these dumb hoes give him a standing ovation -- which he cannot actually see because he is blind. #FAIL. Erika shouldn't get uppity when Lisa asks her to clarify what she said and how close she is to Yolanda. The fact that she is so defensive and refuses to answer the latter question says to me she knows LVP is onto her and Yol. Oh Eileen please don't look at Lisa Rinna like she's a naughty child and you're the disappointed mom. I don't want this friendship to be tarnished! Is Lipsa angling for a chronic disease SL for her kid?? Why was Tallulah's sore throat thing even filmed? I see Kyle "Don't talk about Kiiiiiimmmmmmm it hurts my feeeeeeeeelings" Richards is still trolling her sister for a SL. Still boring af tho. Ahhh Eileen has officially joined the Tall Blonde Clique. I actually do see Erika's point about Kathryn. It was underhanded and fake of Kathryn to pull that info out of Erika, and then tell tales about it behind her back. In addition, her response to Erika was "It's on you." Very Brandi-like in its absolution of responsibility. The juxtaposition of the Three Blondes bitching about LVP in that sad little park (not a good look) with LVP getting a toy pony house designed and paid for by Mohammed Haddid was absolutely hilarious. LVP is like the cat that got the cream. And self-aware enough to admit that her friendship with Mohammed is probably the reason Yolanda hates her guts. Kim is "stronger and in a healthier place" apparently. She was on a mother/daughter therapy show last night but, contractually, neither the show nor the therapist nor Kim's daughter are allowed to mention that Kim has in any way, shape or form an addiction problem. How's that going to work out if Kim shows up "with Bronchitis" again? The delusion is still real with this chick. When is she going to admit that she has a serious problem that needs to be constantly fought? There is no shame in saying this! Especially in Hollywood where half the industry is in AA. Kim says she doesn't hate Kyle. (How about resent, though?) I have to believe that this is a Kim audition to return to the show next season.

Re: Eileen. I think this is what is so interesting about a lot of the RH shows. There are Queen Bees and/or those vying to be Queen Bee. Other HWs decide to align themselves with this person or that person. Maybe they do it because they are followers rather than leaders. Maybe they do it because they would like to be the 'power behind the throne.' (Indeed, I find Erika Girardi possibly falls in that category). They pick a side and it is a gamble. Sometimes that gamble does not pay off. It is all very Game of Thrones-esque. I haven't watched the episode yet but I am nervous about seeing Eileen (somebody I actually respect) putting herself in this situation which might rebound badly on her. Maybe I'm just an LVP stan but I honestly feel that the tide of public opinion towards Yolanda, which was very positive last season, is turning against her. Her latest Dr. Oz 'exclusive' is not helping matters. Consequently, those who ally themselves with her may get burned, too. Having said that, an episode is a long time in RH politics, and who knows how we will feel about any of these women when Reunion time comes?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHoNY trailer has got me LIT!!!!!! NY is one of the most unique franchises, I love how it has its own particular flavour and kept a lot of the ambiance from last season (which IMO was one of the best NY seasons). P.S.: LuAnn is bringing it! RHoMelbourne: Lydiot is continuing to slay me with her crawling insincerity, giant-ass ego, complete Lydiocy and va-va-va-voom Italian sexiness! YASSSSSSS stir that pot Lydiot! She totally stabbed Pettifleur in the back, let's be real. However, all the ladies piling on her next week? Slightly unfair. I feel they are trying to edge Lydia out of the group and make her persona non grata, but as Lydiot made clear at Reunion last year, nobody puts Lydiot in the corner! She is going to fight tooth and nail for her place on the show this season, and I believe every word Susie said: Lydiot clearly wants to ally herself with Gina via Gamble. What I don't believe? That Lydia didn't shag walking STD Shane Warne. I also don't believe that her husband is madly in love with her. The Porsche-buying scene felt totally fabricated, and when somebody bends over backwards to try and sell me how perfect their marriage is, that's when I start looking for the cracks. Clearly this is some PR move, and I can understand why. Shane Warne is a national (semi-global!) joke. Maybe to Aussie men he is still a cricketing legend, but then again, I doubt these men are getting "Fancy a quick shag in the toilets?" texts from him. Speaking of PR, clearly Pettifleur is on a PR drive of her own. Obviously she came in last year thinking she was going to be Joan and Jackie Collins' lost Sri Lankan sister. Her conversation with Gina shows that she still confuses bitchy meanness with wit. To be witty, you need to have subtlety and nuance, like Gina Liano or Lisa Vanderpump. You need to be self-deprecating. Pettifleur is neither subtle nor does she have self awareness. However, that's what makes Pettifleur so good to watch right now. She is not afraid to lay this whole PR trip out for us. She is rehabbing her entire look with Melinda the trainer (after this winter, I really need a Melinda too) and some decent fillers and plastic surgery. The horse riding scene at the end, with that amazing hairpiece, those gorgeous pink gloves and her face shot in profile? Pettifleur looks truly gorgeous. I'm willing to bet her nose has been redone, her lips and cheeks ever so gently upholstered, her chin tucked to show off a great jawline. On the image front, Gina is telling her that she has to show her vulnerability and humanity more, and Pettifleur is clearly taking that advice with Nathan. I thought I would hate the Gina-Pettifleur scene but I liked it. Bring on the Gina Teachings! Janet's ex-husband is awful. I can't believe he allowed himself to be filmed saying what he said. I hope Janet never takes his wrinkled ass back! Gamble as usual is being her impulsive self. I love her for it, but trashing Susie for the sake of her new pal Lydiot? Watch out, Gamble. Lydiot is a fair-weather friend. And Gamble's remark about Susie being a 'Mafia mother' is going to play really badly. Susie mentioned that she comes from an Italian family; I don't think Gamble realised that and was probably referring to Susie as Mafia in terms of being shady. But I could see that word being debated as insult at this season's Reunion. Sorry this is so long...

That Radar Online article... "There hasn’t been a lot of drama this season, and fans love Yolanda.” "Yolanda and David discussed the importance of handling the proceedings with dignity and class soon after she filed,” the insider continued. “So she refuses to speak badly about him on the show. Of course she is saddened by the end of the marriage, but she won’t allow the intimate details of what led to the breakdown of the relationships to become public fodder.” Hadid’s health has drastically improved since having her breast implants removed, and the insider said she’s ready to hit back. “Yolanda is ready to face the cowards who whispered about her while she was sick.” Sounds like this came straight from the horse's mouth! Either Saint Yolanda or 'a source close to Yolanda' gave Radar this puff piece ahead of Reunion in a few weeks.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
At this point, it doesn't even matter to me if she has a chronic neurological disease or not. She could well have something which impairs her ability to function on certain days, etc. I still think she has been horribly misdiagnosed (unless she is in cahoots with that charlatan Dr. Klinghardt to launch a questionable 'wellness' brand / scam 'My Luuuuuuv' for more alimony). IMO, regardless of these illnesses, Yolanda has exposed herself as a horrible person. Her biggest sickness imo is narcissism --- she is a self-aggrandizing narcissist with a God complex. She shows up at lunch with flowers for LVP and expected everybody to fall to their knees worshipping her. "Queen Yolanda made it! She graced us with her presence! Look at how selfless she is, giving Vanderpump those flowers and telling everybody she forgives them!" Except she has not forgiven anybody. Saint Yolanda she is not. And when everybody treated her as just another HW joining the lunch (which she is!), BullyYolanda hit back to remind those peons that they are in the presence of INTEGRITY. Selflessness. Noble Suffering! She's a mother, for crying out loud! Why aren't they telling her how wonderful she is? Why aren't they sobbing in regret over asking Mohammed how his children are doing? How dare they? Ironic that she told Kyle in the e-mail that "it's not a pretty look on you." Smugness and spite sure are an ugly look on Yolanda. Personally, I have never liked VictimKyle all that much, but I applaud the way she reasonably defended herself against that monstrous fake at the lunch. Later in the e-mail, Yolanda commands her to make an appointment with her for lunch 'so I can discuss this further with you.' The fact that Kyle didn't bother to contact her for another round of getting her ass reamed? ::APPLAUSE:: I notice in her blog that Yolanda gleefully [(c) DaytimeFan ] keeps going after Lisa Rinna. Yol clearly thinks Lisa Rinna is the weak link. That's the mark of a bully. She doesn't realize that if she had calmly left well enough alone, Lipsa would have stopped talking about this issue ages ago. Lips is on a roll now because she feels that she is being unfairly blamed and targeted. The worst is trying to put herself on a level with AIDS. BTW, did anybody see what she posted last week when Big Ang (of Mob Wives) died of cancer? That's when I knew Yolanda was truly a disgusting opportunist. Big Ang is a 'mommy' and a grandmother many times over. Don't you think that if Big Ang could have, she would have wanted to stay alive for her family? Of course she would have. She was terrified of dying and leaving them. What a selfish narcissist Yolanda is. The irony is that nobody exposed her for the fake she is -- her addiction to social media means that she has exposed herself. P.S.: The fact that Yolanda broke away from Bravo to publish her blog on her own website makes me wonder if this is the first step towards not appearing at Reunion so that she won't get called out on her sh*t. P.P.S.: Sorry for the rant, but LemonLymes makes me feel the way she makes Tamara Tattles feel.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Same. I see Eileen's point in that LVP feels it is a mark of weakness to apologize for something. (In a way, I even understand Erika's perception of Lisa. Erika clearly views LVP as an adversary. Yol bitching about Lisa to Erika behind the scenes probably hasn't helped. However, she was doing the dirty by implying LVP is behind the Munchausen rumors. Personally, because Mohammed Haddid is/was LVP's friend, I don't think she would dare try to mess with that friendship by getting the Haddid kids involved). Still, I see LVP's point too. These ladies are always trying to hash things out and talk about "my feeeeeeeeeelings" and "validate my pain" and Lisa is not about that life. Many Brits feel that kind of behaviour is self-indulgent and much ado about nothing. Kathryn seems to want to get on Team LVP now, huh? Interesting. The title of this episode was 'Spinning The Web' and it's funny because all I could think was how much like a spider Yolanda seemed. She's so smug and self-righteous and vicious in her attacks and reprimands, tbh. She is so clearly talking down to Kyle, all the while threatening her that she will reveal some secrets if Kyle doesn't toe the line. Then she turns around and says "But, of course, I would never. I have integrity!" The way she looked at the other women with such disdain -- she and Erika obvs think they are on another, higher level above the other HWs. Yolanda acts like she's some martyred saint being torn down by wolves, and she is beyond thrilled that she can somehow implicate LVP in her victimhood. She has been waiting for years to drive a stake in the Mohammed/LVP friendship and to discredit LVP in the eyes of the public, she thinks she has finally found the excuse to do that. Her whole demeanour this episode and last week is creepy, frankly.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@DaytimeFan: Omg yassss when Gamble dropped that "selling fridges" joke I almost fist-pumped the air. Selfridges is a GREAT department store btw. Agreed, and I think the shows have a lot of lightness which comes naturally and isn't forced. These women have a sense of humor about themselves. Even Lydia knows that she comes across as a buffoon sometimes. I also think that some are so rich that they don't really have to try and contrive lots of story for themselves -- they just are going to do their thing and worry about being witty and galivanting around with their pals. Some of the other franchises have gotten very dark lately, and there is a sense amongst some women that this is their primary source of income, so they will do whatever it takes to stay on the show. Somebody like Chyka, for example, would definitely survive and carry on having a great life working at her job if for whatever reason the producers decided to drop her. Vancouver was an absolutely awesome show with some fascinating ladies... but it went way dark in Season 2 and, IMO, the producers actually made a wise choice to stop it. I honestly think somebody like Ronnie would have spiralled even deeper into depression and self-medicating if she was contractually obligated to carry on into Season 3. And that awful Jody person and equally awful daughter really did not deserve any more TV fame as a reward for their nastiness.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
F-ck Beverly Hills. F-ck Atlanta. F-ck Potomac. Melbourne blew them all out the water with this premiere. I don't even know where to begin.... Lydia is clearly the pot-stirrer this season, which is funny because she was the irrelevant one last season. I guess she realized she had to step her game up to remain on the show and boy did she. Lydia was bouncing around setting everything on fire. For once, I found her to be useful. I actually felt something for her. I still don't like her but I don't hate her. Whoever found Susie deserves a medal. I love how she has preexisting history with Gina, Chyka, Janet, and Lydia, which meshes her into the group better than before. Susie was the MVP this episode as she was dropping bombs left and right on Lydia. Susie confirmed what we've all said about Lydia for the past two seasons--she aligns herself with who she can use at the time. Season one, it was everyone but Gina. Season two, it was everyone but Gamble. This season, she wants to align with Gina and Gamble while tossing everyone else under the bus. Just scandalous. These rumors with Lydia and the cricket player.... I somewhat believe it. Lydia protested a bit too much. I did research on him and he is known to be a lothario. Plus, he did try and hook up with Janet too, so.... Pettifleur is an idiot. How can she blame Gamble about being sued when all Gamble did was warn her that Omarosa had a book out by that title already? Going on and calling her a sugar baby is stupid and pointless. If Rick and Gamble like, Pettifleur should love it. It ain't her business. I like how Gina/Pettifleur mended fences. Shows how mature both women are. I do think together that these two can be a power duo to the other women. I was cracking up at the end how Gina, who is normally in fights, was for once not involved in the battles and was sitting in the other room with Chyka. What annoyed me during the fight was how Jackie, who I've NEVER liked, kept inserted her melon head ass in the fights. Jackie annoys me to no end. Overall, this season looks like it is gonna have great potential and all the women are gonna bring it. This just shows why 8 is the magic number on these housewife shows. I totally agree! RHoMelbourne totally validated my love for the RH franchise. This is what it SHOULD be like, true glamour and gorgeous locales, served with drama, social manipulation and a lot of humor too. Lydia is giving me LIFE so far. I always loved to hate the bitchy bombshell, and now I feel like THIS is the true Lydia. She just oozes insincerity at every turn, gossips, backstabs, condescends, not to mention is dumb as a box of rocks. The way she treats her poor housekeeper Joanna (" Let's rev it up a bit, sweetheart"), omg. She really thinks she is Mother Teresa wrapped in Sophia Loren's body. Still, I have to love her bitchery and her attempt to stir the pot and play Pettifleur against Gamble. And totally, I did not buy any of her denials regarding Shaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhne Warne. This guy is the equivalent of a Tom Brady or a Kobe Bryant in the cricket world -- but boy, he cannot keep his anteater in his pants. He famously broke up Elizabeth Hurley's marriage (she of Hugh Grant, Estee Lauder model, and The Royals fame) and when they were together, she stuck him in a diet and he went and had a major facelift, some Fraxel and probably a nose job, too. I think she really fell for him but Shane couldn't stop his tomcat ways... and now it seems he's hooking up with Lydia the kitten! LOL I hope he appears on the show this season. Gamble vs. Pettifleur --- Team Gamble all the way. Pettifleur is a jealous, egoistical, mean-spirited wannabe -- just the way she stomped around in heels to the coffee shop to meet Lydia shows what a try-hard she is. Spreading rumors about Gamble's beloved wolf cub while STILL playing the Poor Me victim card epitomizes how desperate she is to stay relevant with the women. Gamble by contrast is witty, self-deprecating about herself and the other women, and has a lot of vulnerability she is not necessarily worried about showing. Chyka & Bruce.... lol, I think I want to marry Bruce myself. At first I thought the scene where they confronted their daughter about driving his car was slightly contrived, but then she started crying for real and I thought 'Oh sh*t! They just guilt-tripped and embarrassed her on national television!" It was a pretty funny scene. I think I will always enjoy Chyka even if she doesn't always 'bring it' in terms of sh*t-stirring. I like that she is a happy oasis of calm. I kind of agree about Jackie. She stomps in like a bull in a china shop and tries to be all ballsy and knock heads together in the fights and I just want her to take a seat and STFU. I'm glad she's stopped saying "That's so couture!" though. I have a feeling Jackie won't be as involved this season on the show, I don't know why. I'm not sure how I feel about Susie just yet, but I cannot deny her Melbourne social pedigree, or the fact that when she was talking about Lydia, she was speaking the 100% TRUTH. I'm so glad the show is back! It really feels like a breath of fresh air!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I loved Lydia. I felt she was true to herself and called people out in an honest, no-nonsense manner. I was actually bummed when she didn't return the folloawing season but I guess she realized the toxicity was taking over this show. I agree with NBA -- having Lydia back is to support the Vicki Redemption story. Since the other three (Heather, Tamra, Shannon) don't want to be part of that choir, they are bringing in the Lizzies, Lydias and possibly Gretchens and Jeanas so that Vicki does not seem completely ostracized and out of the loop.

Have we talked about Zico before? I think we have. My friend sent me the link to this. It's a departure from Zico's usual sound but I am really loving everything about this song (with it's retro opening sound) and the mv: In other news, Taemin is releasing a new solo album! A full one this time. And this is the teaser pic for it: Clone-cest? Here is the teaser. It will be a full album this time: And D.O. of EXO is going to release the full length version of Tell Me What is Love, a song he has been singing at concerts and which I absolutely love:

Oh for sure Kim was the intended target, not Chris. But they talked about Chris in such a way that it is clear just in what low esteem they view supposedly 'gay' mannerisms. As a result, he's not a 'real man' in their eyes. He's corresponding to a certain stereotype. It's not even the words so much as the inferences and the little knowing looks and giggling -- kind of reminded me of being in school in the '90s when people used to talk about so-and-so being "like, omg, SO gay." I'm not gay so I guess this isn't my fight, but the episode still made me feel a bit uncomfortable/faintly disgusted. Maybe I'm over-reacting and some of y'all can correct me and say "Sit down. No need to be so PC about this."
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
My problem with the RHoA episode is that gay is being used as an attack and an insult, in a sneering way, and by almost everybody. It was used to demean Kim Fields and emasculate Chris. I'm surprised Kenya engaged in it given what happened to her BFF Brandon two seasons ago -- if I recall, some of the cast (including Nene) belittled Brandon and treated him as "not man enough" before Apollo out of nowhere rushed him and beat him up. BTW, everything Brandon wrote on his FB page was on point and powerful. Even though Kenya is/was his friend, he still called her and the other HWs out. Atlanta has a large gay population. The cast sometimes pays lip service to "mah gays" and appears to have a significant gay fanbase, but this is not a good look. No blogs from the RHoA cast yet. Hmmm. I think it was Kathy from NJ?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh Lord. RHoBH: Finally watched. It was a good episode! Can I just say that my love for Eileen in her gross shoes/bag/denim jumpsuit glory has returned in full force? I love her girl crush on Erika but at the same time bellowing "WHO TOLD HER? WHO?" Eileen has no time for BS -- including from HWs who claim they don't have time for it either. It is so clear that Yolanda is looking for any excuse to pin any kind of blame for anything on LVP. Lisa Rinna and others are merely collateral damage. LVP listening quietly to Erika scream at Lipsa was a picture in of itself. She knows who told Yolanda. And she knows Yol and Erika are trying to make her look bad. Her blog this week slayed them all. Basically she told them to BRING IT BITCHES: Erika looks really bad screaming at Lipsa in the previews. I don't understand the BFF friendship between Erika Girardi and Yolanda Foster. They... don't seem to have all that much in common. I would imagine that normally Yolanda would look down on someone as fun-loving (or "superficial" as Yol sometimes terms it) as Erika, who adores her labels and make-up, her flashy clothes, botox and boobs -- just like Yolanda has shaded the other women for enjoying. I also think it is very telling how somebody like Yolanda (and Erika) view friendship. 'Don't question me. Just worship me. Just tell me how saintly and brave I am. Stroke my ego. But don't ask questions of what I am doing because that is WRONG and BITCHY and MEAN.' Clearly Yolanda never met my (European) mom -- a woman who believes honey, lemon and ginger can cure the flu! -- who is all up my ass whenever I get sick. "What did you do? Did you dress warmly? Have you been eating enough protein? Here, take some eucalyptus!" All my family and friends have opinions on any sickness that befall us and what you should do to treat it. That's not being mean, that's actually trying to contribute other options! Erika, too, seems more comfortable being surrounded by her minions that she pays to rub bronzer on her tatas and whoop "Pat the puss!" than women who wish to voice an opinion or call her out on something she did. She could easily have defended herself by saying "Yes, I told Yolanda. She asked and I answered because she's my friend. I told her I heard Lisa and Kyle mention it in passing..." It would have been no biggie as everybody knew anyway and in any case, LVP and Kyle were more than ready to drop the issue. Eileen thinks Erika is fab so she would probably have dropped the questioning after that. Kathryn does not care. Lipsa would have likely backed down, too, because she is a people-pleaser.

I haven't watched yet, but if Erika didn't own up to telling (a positively thrilled) Yolanda, then she looks super bad. Lisa R's blog is straight up amazing. I also loved this shade: "Maybe we can attribute her new focus and tenacity to being on the mend and her health and strength improving. Watching her scold LVP and question her with such clarity and authority while unnecessarily throwing my name into the ring, a part of me wanted to stand up and applaud this extremely coherent woman who we haven’t seen for quite some time! Yep, her inquisition of LVP brought out that old spark of joy and glee in Yolanda. If I had a glass of lemonade, I would toast her." LVP is a healer of chronic illnesses, it seems. I thought I noticed Yolanda look positively gleeful last week when Erika told her LVP mentioned her kids. Now she is on a roll. The woman is only happy if LVP looks bad. It reminds of the lengths she went to at the end of S4 to accuse Ken of 'assault.' "Do you think my husband wants to hang with somebody like you?"
