Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
So did you guys hear? Bravo is going to start airing Real Housewives of Cheshire on Saturday afternoons starting November 14! http://www.realitytea.com/2015/11/05/real-housewives-cheshire-coming-bravo/#/slide/1 Phaedra kinda looks like Kandi giggling in that second gif...?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It's just a rumor at this point! Bravo has not confirmed it. And we won't know until they release the opening taglines. I know right? Eileen became my fave last season. I have always loved her on Y&R and Days -- I think she is one of the most talented, naturalistic actors around tbh -- but on RHoBH she proved to me how sympathetic, self-deprecating and dorky she can be. And she never lost her class or authenticity either, not even once. Please enjoy this classic RHoBH Eileen moment: And her reaction to Brandi

I can't remember if it was on Reality Tea or this very thread but the rumor was she has been demoted to a Friend Of. Which is a shame (because I love her) but at the same time she is probably avoiding a shitload of potential trouble if viewers were to turn against her. Yes, he is. ETA: Kandi and Kenya are giving me EVERYTHING in the peach cast shot. Poorsha's tagline is so lame: "I'm about to give you life, so stay outta my way" Huh? I'm sure she came up with that all by herself. No doubt about that. TY! Now that Nene doesn't have as much of a say, I still don't understand why Training Wheels [(c) Cheap] remains a 'HW' on the show and not Marlo.

Damn. FOUR pages you guys? While I was asleep! Seriously tho I'm glad everybody is getting stoked for RHoA. I can't get over how phenomenal Phaedra looks. She'd been starting to look like a gremlin in recent years. I just want to point out that when Phelony first (phirst?) joined the show, she had a really beautiful face. I don't know whether it was because she was pregnant with Aiden at the time, but she was literally a blooming rose. I noticed that when Nene called her "plain jane" that first season, Phae got into the clown makeup and exaggerated styling, and it did nothing for her. It seems she's had a rethink and a makeover on that front. And Mr. Vixen, you are not the only one who will miss Nene. As foul as she may be sometimes. I am catching up on the last few episodes of last season's Atlanta right now... woah. Nene's attitude was STANK. Getting Dr. Drew as a way to attack the women, only to find the attack turned on her. Honestly, I hope she realizes that RHoA pays her mortgage. I still think the show needs her, but she also needs the show as a platform. Hopefully the "I'm too good for y'all" attitude takes a backseat but, often with Nene, she doesn't like to learn from her mistakes. In her mind, she can never be wrong. And I say this as someone who enjoys watching her. (Also Nene vs Sheree vs Marlo NEEDS to happen on my screen. BTW is Carlos King back on RHoA as EP?)

Amen to both of you. How long have all of us on this thread posted about RH? Years. You, Cheap and others have been here since page 1. DF you have always been one of this franchise's most loyal fans. RhOBH rescued itself last season (just about), but RHoNJ couldn't and I'm wondering if RHoOC will be the next to tank. OC felt like it crossed a line this season and it cannot come back from it. Ironic that the woman who pushed it over that line (Vicki) -- out of deep insecurity and neediness -- is probably the only one I feel sorry for. Even though she sowed the seeds of this mess to begin with. The other women look as bad as (if not worse than) Jill, Kelly and Cathy ganging up on Alex McCord in at that RHoNY reunion. And we all know what happened to them. I met up with a friend from out of town this w/e -- she HATES the reality shows and RH most of all. But she watches Atlanta as she thinks it is the only truly entertaining one. Hopefully they will keep some of the fun in that franchise which makes it such a winner (across racial and gender lines, I might add). I know this is not a popular opinion but bringing back Nene later in the season is a good move. My friend didn't know if she wanted to watch without the Neenster...

Do you guys think RHOC has a life after this season? I feel like OC lost its credibility and humanity this season. Vicki is probably the most human person on the show rn but boy is she flawed. She dumped a long marriage for this con-man Brooks and worked hard for years to paint this super-duper perfect picture of her life, and now her house of cards has come crashing down [(c) Gina from RHoMelbourne]. Her need to control everything, including the way people respond to Brooks, was her downfall. Watching her at Reunion was like watching a lame puppy being kicked again and again. Either she was on Xanax or on the edge of losing it big-time. She needs serious help but after this season, it seems like she has been abandoned by all but her closest family. There is nothing remotely sympathetic about the other women, not Heather, shrill Shannon, not horrific Tamra, not that ghoul Meghan. I also feel the producers of the show have a lot to answer for regarding this shady SL. I am a die-hard RH fan, OC included, but I don't know if it can recover after this.

Ladies of London
I'm only on Ep 2 -- the third episode gets broadcasted here tomorrow. You must be onto Episode 7 or 8 I think. So I'm just going by the season previews I saw in Episode 1. Caroline is mean and bitchy generally. Her default setting is to look down on others, and the Americans are an ideal target because their sense of sarcasm is not as attuned as hers. Maybe Caroline got meaner because the impending doom of her business was creeping up on her behind the scenes. LoL also has much fewer episodes that the average RH season so they tend to pack a lot in, say 10-15 episodes (as opposed to 22). And maybe that's why the business failing seems out of the blue. We haven't had 10 episodes to gradually lay the groundwork for this story.
-
Ladies of London
Thanks Taoboi I will! I think it is brave of Caroline to show her business failing, but Brits have a different take on failure than American audiences. They don't look down on it as a character flaw but instead root for the underdog often. I think this will win viewers' sympathy because Caroline will show a more vulnerable self and that she's not always being a bitch and throwing her money and connections in other people's faces. This humanises her.

Ladies of London
Season 2 just started where I am and I have seen the first two episodes! Can I gush about it here? OK this show is The Real Housewives of London in all but name. I have a feeling someone like Caroline Stanbury objected to the RH tag. Housewife sounds très suburban and she obviously feels she is socialite first, businesswoman second, wife third and mother fourth. Without her, the show wouldn't be half as glamorous. She really represents a certain kind of wealthy London It Girl type. Plus her hair is FABU and I have eyebrow envy. Of course she is a selfish cow who sends her assistant to her kid's school plays because she cannot be bothered. And she adores stirring the pot and having other ladies fight over her friendship. Basically every show needs a bitch! Marissa is the typical Alpha Female who has to be the Best Businesswoman, Best Homemaker, etc. She probably stays up at 3am to bake the perfect cupcakes for her kids' school gala. That's not a dig, that's just who she is -- a perfectionist with boundless energy and outgoingness. The way Juliet treated her was shitty, and I'm glad she just cut that frenemyship off, coldly. It is so clear Juliet is jealous of her so-called BFF and cannot stand that Marissa is a Winner at life. Basically, this friendship is the Ronnie-Mary equivalent (from RHoV) and I wonder if it will continue to drive the show. Juliet -- HOT. MESS. And she's a Chicago girl to boot. A Chicago girl I once worked with used to walk around trumpeting "I'm from Chicago! I know everything!" However, she slowly realized that most Brits cannot be bothered to look up Chicago up on a map. For them, only NY and LA exist (possibly Miami). Anyway, then she got loudly defensive and always complained about how much people in London suck. Juliet really reminds me of her. She is a provincial fish out of water and all she ever talks about is Me, Myself and I. Eventually she is going to twig that nobody gives a f*ck. The show obviously needs this messy wreck to power SL, and I for one LOVE to hate her irrelevant-and-she-can't-stand-it ass. Annabelle -- haven't seen much of her but you can tell she is connected and is probably so busy being fabulous and social and rich that she barely has time for filming. Right now she should probably be a Friend Of because she is not really featuring. I do like her friendship with Julie, though. I like Julie, too, who seems worn down by the work of keeping inherited castle and lands going and who needs a little glamour in her life. Julie is like the show narrator, no? Caroline Fleming -- At first I liked her True Danish Royalty connections and the way she prepared dinner for herself. I felt she was cool and down-to-earth. But then she ate like a caveman and did that fake-ass laugh and it felt phony. The way she kicked out her guests so quickly was contrived, too. I wonder if she was high? Watching Juliet brown-nose her was hilarious though. And her kitchen is glorious. Most if not all the homes are stunning on this show.

Well, Kristen would never throw her BFF Carole under the bus, so it's either Sonja (because obviously) or Luann (who is hated by Kristen's posse). If it was Ramona or Bethenny, I would be stunned. I don't know why because they are BSC in their way, and Ramona loooooves her wine, but for some reason I don't see her seriously venturing into narcotics. As for Bethenny, she's so highly-strung, the last thing she needs is to be on coke.

I think Tamra is a born instigator, and Meghan was her foil this season. She kept referring to her as her mini-me -- the mini-me who was going to take the heat off her while she plays Born-Again Christian (interestingly, I remember Simon becoming a BAC when it came time to sue for custody of his kids, so who knows? Maybe Tamra is taking a leaf out of his book). Reading that statement of Tamra's, she does sound genuinely hurt by Vicki's words. Vicki and Tamra are in many ways perfect for each other. Having said that, Tamra cannot help herself from trying to 'get' Vicki, and she's adept at doing it more covertly now. Maybe it is Vicki's bossiness that fuels her, because Vicki can be intensely controlling. Maybe it is Vicki's status on the show. I suspect, though, that it is Brooks that prompts Tamra to play sides. Tamra loathes Brooks (not that I blame her, he's a skeeve), and she loathes the control Brooks has over Vicki -- influence Tamra once had.

I agree. IMO RHoNJ went truly bad when Melissa, Joey and the other bug-eyed cousin showed up. It's common knowledge the Gorgas sent an audition tape to Bravo where they pledged to bring down Teresa. It is hilarious that Teresa's disembodied voice got more screentime on Teresa Checks In than Melissa. Melissa was so sour about not being invited to 'help with the kids'; it meant she wasn't getting any spotlight. Teresa and her husband are thugs, and it irks me that they are painting themselves the victim. Having said that, the show was the best NJ-related thing I have seen in over four seasons. One thing you can tell is how much Teresa adores her family. I would much rather watch Milania being Milania and Gia's talking heads than those awful, thirsty people they brought on to RHoNJ last season. Gia breaks my heart tbh. She must be the wisest person on that show. And I can't help but like Juicy Joe for just saying whatever pops into his head. I like his friendship with Rosie too. I figure this whole Brooks cancer SL was scripted by Brooks/Vicki, given the greenlight by an OC producer, but the other women smelled a rat and made it an issue in order to stay relevant. Honestly, they should probably cancel OC tomorrow for this mess, but they won't if their ratings have been making bank. I dislike all of them at this point. I will watch Reunion though to see if we get any answers, but somehow I doubt it. And can this be said too often? Smug Meghan needs to be fired. I believe Ampika's family might originally be from India, or she is mixed-race Asian.

Bless you for that Jem gif! I loved that cartoon when I was a kid. *side-eyes the live action 'remake'* The American Cancer Association need to send MeMeMe a cease & desist letter for fronting like she is qualified in any way to make a diagnosis, and for spreading inaccurate information about the range of diverse illnesses (and their treatments) that fall under the c umbrella. And I say this as someone increasingly convinced Brooks may be lying for the sake of a SL. Bravo need to cease & desist with this awful season.

I called it. Watch Gretchen be in the lineup next season. Andy is gonna make sure Vicki has an ally and someone who is formidable to go toe to toe with Tamra. Season 11 is going to be messy.... You sure did! RHoOC is currently being repeated where I am. Currently we are on Season 7 which is when Vicki started dating Brooks, when Tamra pretended to be BFFs with Gretchen, when Heather joined, and when Alexis was the most annoying HW ever. I was never a fan of Wretched because I felt she was shady with her 'truth-telling.' I also couldn't stand Slade being the Peter of the OC franchise and felt both try-hards pulled down the franchise (if that's possible). However, she was also pretty human. I wouldn't necessarily be against her replacing Meghan, which would piss Tamra off. Tamra has been such a puppet-master all season, stirring the pot via her mini-me MegVile while pretending to be Vicki's closest friend. Damn. Anwar is HOT. Maybe this was what Mohammed looked like before he got paunchy and started doing the comb-over!

Honestly, seeing that photo makes me... kind of want Nene on RHoBH? (Don't kill me). If Brandi is going to be a 'Friend Of,' there will be plenty of room for Nene to drag her. Especially because Kyle HAAAAATES Brandi and Nene & Kyle are tight. Plus I would be intrigued to see the LVP/Nene dynamic. I also think she would read Shanna's fake ass (God I wish "Twenny-Five THOUZIND" and Alison Dubois would show up too) but try and kiss up to Lisa Rinna and Eileen (for the job connections). Nene is nowhere near wealthy like Empress Lisa, Yolanda, Camille or Adrienne, but she still has some standing in that she actually did do legit acting jobs and clearly wants her career to progress further. She is currently on TV (as a talking head). Brandi didn't even have that, and she was a HW for a good 3 seasons. OC: OK episode, considering. Shannon, I thought you had reached TMI zone with the affair revelation but clearly I was wrong! Vicki gave an interview on the Periscope app (http://www.realitytea.com/2015/10/05/photos-vicki-gunvalson-detoxes-opens-rhoc-reunion-friendships-brooks-ayers-spinoff/#/slide/1 --- btw I don't quite know what that is either). She said that she was in the Hot Seat at Reunion as far as being the hated housewife, but that she tried to keep her cool and answer the questions. She said that she and Shannon were not friends currently but she did feel they would find their way back to each other. She was non-commital about Tamra and that she was moving on from Brooks (one can only hope). Apparently Brooks had a one=on-one interview with Andy that was screened at Reunion and that Vicki was "disappointed" by Brooks decision to do it. Oooo wonder if she was scared Brooks would throw her under the bus for this cancer SL? She also said that she was back in contact with GRETCHEN ROSSI and that when comparing her to Meghan, at least Gretch had a heart. Sounds to me like Vicki is hoping Gretch will come back and replace Meghan King Edmonds! And if it pisses Tamra off, all the better! She didn't indicate whether or not Meghan got dragged at Reunion for her shenanigans. That disappointed me. I was hoping that shark would be called out on her nasty crusade "for Justice" but it seems like Tamra and Heather have her ass protected. God I am so ready for this awful bore to be fired.

I feel bad for Kim Fields. She has no clue in that trailer just how vicious and desperate it can get. The thirst is real, Kim! Am I the only one who thinks that Kim F and Kandi might actually get along as the lone somewhat-sane ones? November feels a long ways away right now. ONly OC is holding the fort and I cannot bring myself to watch the latest episode. I cannot believe it is still more "Is Brooks cancerous?" and "David cheated." Who greenlit this awful waste of a 10th season? This should have been an awesome season and yet it is the worst it has ever been (and yes I remember Tammy Knickerbocker and her waste-of-space daughters). Vicki has already done the cancer SL, with Briana. The difference then was that the issue was sensitively handled, thanks in part to Briana's basically upbeat and matter-of-fact nature. They made it real without being morbid and without trivialising the subject. Here it is morbid and heavy -- and yet the issue of cancer has been totally trivialized and rendered meaningless. Regardless of whether Brooks/Vicki are lying, Meghan needs to be fired like yesterday. She is a shark-eyed excuse for a human being. It occurred to me that over the past few seasons, RHoOC had some pretty watchable housewives: Peggy Tanous, Lydia and especially Lizzie come to mind. They were, give or take some personal quirks, actually relatable human beings. However, I never fully understood how toxic the environment was until these ladies started getting run off the show. (Heather is resilient and a friend of Andy's so she has survived). Peggy got stampeded by that waste of good botox, Alexis. Lydia by the altercation between Ryan and her mother (and the producers probably put pressure on her not to make a big deal of it). Lizzie by Tamra's general awfulness. Now the OC has someone sordid and as opportunistic as Tamra, but dumber. I can't watch it. I need a better balance of personalities. If Meghan is there just to make Tamra look good by default, well, that's not enough. Sorry for the rant. LOL I guess I just needed to let that out.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Can you see it now? Thanks! Wow Tootie's hair.... By contrast Kandi looks on point this season. That boat altercation looks very Pillow Talk Nightesque, and it better not let Rickshaw [(c) Cheap] off the hook in terms of her part in provoking it. She's trying so hard in that trailer to come at the women and 'bring it,' but she is making Phaedra look classy and that is some achievement.

Miss Lawrence also talked about why (s)he peaced out of RHoA recently: http://www.realitytea.com/2015/09/24/miss-lawrence-dishes-real-reason-left-real-housewives-atlanta/ It's a classy way of putting it and can't say I really blame him.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Thank you for reminding me. This asswipe. The way he was bitching and moaning about that (very decent) house. Eddie looked like he wanted to kill him. Tamra clearly told Eddie that she would use her money and this was a non-negotiable, but the best thing she could do for Ryan is to let him fend for himself and his new family. He is so spineless too -- now that he impregnated his z-list starfucker babymama, he wants to cut and run. Tamra is obviously funding his home so he doesn't look like a complete creep and abandon this family (including her own granddaughter). What a [!@#$%^&*] mess. Ryan has always caused major trouble for Tamra and her relationships. On top of being dumb as a box of rocks and useless, he is an emotional manipulator. Probably because he is deeply insecure about his stature.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
IA. It was another episode of cancer talk. I appreciate that Heather came out and talked to Vicki woman to woman about the whole situation, but the whole SL is a depressing mess. Even Meghan could not refrain from bringing up her cancer 'expertise' (and throwing that poor mother Leanne under the bus AGAIN) in the segment when buying her stepdaughter a new prom dress. This is a terrible idea for a single story and Meghan needs to be fired after she is raked over the coals at Reunion. Regardless of whether Brooks is lying or not. The only good bit was Lisa Rinna showing up to talk about HSN with Heather. Thank goodness for that ray of sunshine. Even her hair looked fab. I finally caught up on the NY 100th episode special which was a real treat. I truly love this show and the people currently involved. Even Kristen was funny and erudite. Ramona looks like she had a face lift and Aviva's hair is fabulous. You could tell Andy is emotionally invested in the women and this particular franchise. It struck me that as enjoyable as it was to see early clips of the show, I never want to see Jill Zarin, Kelly, Cindy and Alex on this show again. IMO the latest mix of women is a perfect balance and I love how NY has evolved as a franchise. I am sure I am alone in that view but after seeing the toxicity of OC, this was a welcome, fun, witty relief.

TBH I think Ikon was so hyped because they and Winner were finalists on a hugely popular Xfactor type show, and even though the public went with Winner as the winning group, the head of YG never hid his preference for the other group he called Ikon. So YG released Winner quite quickly and they became a big hit, but he wanted to wait to release Ikon in the hopes they would eclipse Winner. You could argue that, even with this sub-standard pre-debut release, it has hit #1 on the Melon chart and will likely be huge for YG, They want Ikon to be the next Big Bang because Big Bang members will probably be heading to military service soon (SOB! TOP!). However, like you, Matt, I am hugely underwhelmed by this single. I guess I am spoiled because my bias boy group, EXO, released a pre-debut single too, called What is Love, and honestly it is one of my favorite songs of theirs ever. It might not be your thing because it is a ballad, but I just love the whole slow jam of it. I actually prefer the Chinese version, weirdly. Cheap, I think maybe it's time to get into Junho. I keep hearing great things but I've never been taken in by his stuff. Also, I love that black & white image of him on the album (kpop has the best album covers sometimes). YASS Cheap let Dumb Dumb grow on you! I also like the choreo to it.

Seventeen's new song "Mansae" just dropped & (as to be expected based on the awesomeness of Adore U) it is FABULOUS!!! I hear that SEVENTEEN are producing another batch of their albums because demand has outpaced supply! They really are the rookie kings right now. Taking a page out of EXO's Growl playbook with this school uniform/dance formations mv! I like that the female character actually has some spunk and isn't just some blushing doll as she is in MANY other boy band mvs. I also like their choreo. I didn't know about the plagiarism, but the song and the mv has grown on me. IA tho that the album is not as good as Ice Cream Cake (Automatic! Something Kinda Crazy!) but there are some cool songs in it. Am I the only one disappointed by IKON's debut song? I found it and the video pretty basic. All that hype... I hope their proper debut single is more punchy. HyunA is honestly the sexiest bae in kpop right now. Her body is incredible and I am fully envious. Last year I wasn't sure about that monkey mv Red and HyunA twerking like a little awkward robot in red heels, but she seems much more comfortable in this Run and Run mv. It seems more her, and she is sexy without forcing it. I really like the mv, actually, and the 'home video/behind the scenes' style of it. I also love the song. Have you heard her other single Roll Deep, Cheap? That 4minute photoshoot looks really good.

Re the Dubrow's skincare formulations: In my opinion, allegedly, etc: first of all, the line does not offer a sunscreen from what I can see online on Evine (the retailer), which is the most important thing everyone can use to protect their skin. So that already sets the line as substandard in my opinion given that the sun is the #1 cause of aging and skin damage. Then, the polish/scrub product has silica beads - which is rough on the skin and can cause micro tears and it isn't as good as using a chemical exfoliant like salicylic acid. Then, the moisturizer and serum have fragrance in them, which is an irritant for skin. The serum product they have has silicones and ceramides - and nothing more - which for $40 for an ounce is incredibly expensive and doesn't offer skin very much. They also have two nutritional products: a liquid and a vitamin pill, that loads up on the skin healthy vitamins and minerals. I'm always hesitant to do 250% of the Recommended Daily Intake of any nutrient - and that's what the nutrition products do - to each their own, most of those nutrients are water soluble anyway so the body only absorbs what it can and the rest is flushed out. Overall, in my opinion, there are far less expensive, better formulated products available. Thanks for your take on the Dubrow skincare line. I would have thought sunscreen would be a standard in the anti-aging day products and it always stuns me when I see major brands like Chanel or YSL push anti-aging creams with no SPF attached. I know they're trying to fix the line at a (slightly) more affordable price point but sometimes it just seems better to get some natural product like coconut oil and smear it on your face for hydration purposes! I have been watching Season 2 of Real Housewives of Melbourne, which I never caught up on! I've watched everything right up to the last episode (not including the Reunion episodes). My thoughts: -This franchise is glitzy, tacky, gloriously OTT, contrived at times, bitchy, but so, so fun. And at the end of the day, a lot of these women are true blue Australian sheilas in the best sense. - I was all ready to love Pettifleur and dislike Gamble at the beginning of the show. What a switcheroo as the show progressed. Gamble is funny, self-deprecating and winningly upfront. Pettifleur is mean, a poseur and a big-ass fake. The only point I actually warmed to her was when she danced her birthday tango at her winter wonderland party. LMAO as she wrapped her leg around that poor dancer's shoulder. - I still like Jackie but I worry that she will get too caught up in being what she thinks a Real Housewife should be and will lose the rock in her life -- her adorable husband. - I know people hate Lydia here and think she is a bore... well, I love to hate her. She's like Kyle in a lot of ways -- pretentious, condescending, dumb as a box of rocks, thinks she is hysterically funny -- but the difference is that I can't stand Kyle most of the time. Lydia in a lot of ways is hideous, and talks horribly about Gina especially in her VTs. She obviously thinks she is the second coming of Samantha Jones sometimes. And yet... I can't stop watching her. Ugh, I have such ratchet taste in HWs lol. - Gina is... where to start? The eye of the hurricane. I love the fragile/strong woman she shows herself to be -- tough barrister but vulnerable when it comes to relationships. I liked her burgeoning friendship with Gamble. At the same time, she can just be so vicious in her put-downs. She is fundamentally insecure, as insecure as that vile Andrea in S1. I wish she wouldn't burn so many bridges on this show, or get caught talking out of turn about the few friends she has left. At the same time, the other women are so ready to pounce on her every word or action and twist it against her. - Janet is a big gossip but she owns it and I love her for that. I was LMAO at her reaction to Gina's shoe-line. Chyka (who I also love) had a good point about not being asked to use their names for shoes, but the Janet had the truest reaction. "I don't care about that! All I care about is that I got the ugly nana shoe!" Bring on Season 3!
