B&B was tanking second half of 1995 (that overlapped w/ Y&R being off-track mainly because Nick/Sharon were eating the show and Reilly Days blowing up) thus Sheila return and Lauren moving over from Y&R. By 1996 Sheila and Lauren were hardly in each other's orbits. Sheila second run (1995-1998) there were signs she was getting played out. After that, Sheila became Bradley's break glass in case of emergency character.

Abby was introduced as a divorced mother from a working class background and we saw her working as a bookkeeper at the car dealership. She was all about the come up but she had both street smarts and book smarts to get that come up. Once Knots Landing becomes full-on soap, then Abby role as the villainess is set.

Yeah, oil companies were so 1980s. Perhaps in the 1990s it could have diversified into Lewis Energy.

Knots Landing becomes full-on primetime soap in season 4, although soap elements are showing during seasons 2 and 3.

Felicia intro overlaps with Kristen being on the way out. For whatever reason, Bill Bell didn't explore the Forrester daughters relationship. If Kristen stayed, I could totally see a Kristen/Clarke/Felicia triangle unfolding. I remember some flirtation between Felicia and Clarke but Bill Bell didn't expand on it. Lauren Koslow daughter was born October 1990 so her pregnancy leave would've been during the fall, unless she took a longer pregnancy leave starting in the summer. Agree that Taylor pretty much replaced Caroline. I don't think Eric/Brooke was Bill Bell original plan, but I feel that storyline happened because of KKL real-life pregnancy. Bill Bell dusted off two Y&R storylines (Phillip/Jill/Katherine and Stuart/Jill/Liz) for that storyline.

Andre called out Dani on being jealous of seeing him with Ashley. He also reminded Dani that she pushed him away. I was done when Dani said Ashley "makes vanilla looks spicy".

From what I've seen of Krista Tesreau original recipe Mindy, she was a spoiled brat/daddy's little princess. Kimberley Simms Mindy had some remnants of spoiled brat/daddy's little princess but her Mindy grew up and matured. Despite the initial torridness of Roger/Mindy (affair with business rival's daughter), I believe Roger did love Mindy but they wouldn't have worked as a long-term couple because the specter of Roger's feelings for Holly would be lingering in the background.
