  1. Trump isn't going anywhere. The GOP still need him as a shield to push their draconian laws.
  2. EVERY DAY there is new drama. When you're outpacing Nixon in self immolation you know you're something special.
  3. This is insane.
  4. It will be canceled by mid season.
  5. Wow. She's aged horribly.
  6. Not everything is about race marceline!
  7. That's why the ridiculous amount of time Democrats spend trying to "win" people over by pointing out Republican lapses of logic is a complete waste of time.
  8. Democrats are gonna continue to have problems as long as they continue to act like Republicans (centering whiteness).
  9. The thing is you can. Trump is proof of that. The problem is that those who only seek to maintain their position in the current system want desperately to evade accountability.
  10. There's not a lot of daylight between white conservatives and white liberals.
  11. Barbara jumping through the window will never not be funny.
  12. Colleen Dion was great but Lesli Kay is/was an awesome recast. It's a shame B&B takes her (and Felicia) for granted.
  13. Renee Goldsberry appears on The Get Down's first season as glamorous disco superstar Misty Holloway.
  14. Given CC's death it makes sense (unless Y&R recasts) that Mary is MIA.
  15. April Ryan. Maxine Waters. Susan Rice. Seems like a pattern of some sort is forming....
  16. 70 days in, Donald Trump’s presidency is flailing
  17. Jack's womanizing (stemming from his deep mommy issues) was a crucial aspect of the character from the beginning. Dina was a HUGE part of Jack's life (especially because he was her favorite). Bell ignored all of the characters established history when they hired PB and made John Jack's sole inspiration.
  18. Jack & Patty were very much like JT & Colleen
  19. Finn brought a lot of the backlash onto himself. Had he left well enough alone the drama would've passed a lot quicker.
  20. Four. Abby being a newborn, she had just gotten settled with her ideal family, the complications of Brad bonding with Colleen and the potential of lingering feelings between Traci & Brad all contributed to her discomfort. Larry is really sweet. He made a ton of mistakes but he made a genuine effort (with a big assist from The Newmans) to turn his life around.
  21. Katherine knocking her over the head wasn't played for comedy. Jess reaction shot was comedic but Katherine assaulted Jill out of extreme anger (no different than many of their usual physical altercations) & really thought she hurt Jill in the aftermath. For every scene where Jill & Billy argued (which was usually as much due to her as him) there was an equal scene with her going to great lengths to make him happy and/or someone in their extended family defending her to him. Which given the state of her relationships with Katherine & the rest of the Abbotts by that point was a huge deal. And Jill was not the only person Billy had tense moments (especially early on). He was quite snotty to Mackenzie, John & Katherine too.
  22. Not really. Jill was VERY in character (as YRBB said she had a history of REALLY bad relationships with ingenues & vixens). Her low self esteem and snotty attitude coupled with her toxic feud with Katherine, tenuous interactions with the Abbotts, incredibly strained relationship with Billy and Mackenzie's introverted nature all contributed to her behavior. One of the best things about the story though was nobody was really propped. EVERYONE had their faults. Jill caused a lot of drama during that period but Y&R never shied away from Katherine negatively contributing to their dynamic. Y&R also did a LOT of great work in repairing Jill's other relationships during that period. It was the best the character had been written in almost a decade by that point.
  23. Jill referred to her as A Bad Penny. You're right that Jill didn't like her long before she became involved with Billy YRBB. She always assumed Mackenzie was working an angle (which ironically was never the case) and in fact kept helping to mend Jill & Billy's relationship despite her severe issues with Jill.
