  1. The 5th circuit has reinstated the Texas abortion ban. Surprise, surprise. NOT. The 5th circuit is the GQP on steroids.
  2. Sorry, but Brenda kissed another man (and her fiance's hated rival, at that!) just before her wedding. I don't feel sorry that Jax dropped her. (But I'm sort of mad at defending Jax here, considering how turned off I am by IR now. Oh, well!)
  3. And, per Wiki, he was on the 12th season of America's Got Talent as...a singing Trump impersonator (and eliminated in the quarterfinals). Umm...yeah.
  4. Elon Musk, narcissist extraordinaire, is moving the Tesla HQ from Cali to Texas, because he has the madz over Cali's COVID restrictions. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2021/10/07/musk-tesla-texas/
  5. Surprise, surprise. And, as I said, you just know the other Trump scum will ignore the subpoenas and Dems will STILL want to color in the lines. Get the damned Sergeant at Arms to haul these wastes of skin IN. Fight, for God's sake.
  6. One edit: The headline I saw said the GOP Senate voted against the debt ceiling. Other news sources now have it still in talks. But the rest of the sucktastic news stands.
  7. Let's see, today's news dump: Quinnipiac has Biden's approval at 38%. 😮 AT&T is funding One America News Democrats have a voter registration problem per NBC News Glenn Youngkin is gaining on Terry McAuliffe in VA governor polls And Republicans have voted against raising the debt ceiling again. What a "great" day.
  8. If ANYTHING requires support from those two DINOs, forget it. It's already toast. Not just pessimism, but knowing their record/history thus far of obstruction...
  9. Maybe it was always meant to be a limited, short-term role.
  10. Technically, yes. Although it was mentioned during Gordon Thomson's tenure and tied in to his proposing to Julia again. (Julia had Mason kidnapped to Las Vegas and some strange woman showed up to Mason's hotel room, claiming to have married Mason [when he was Sonny]. LONG story. Played for humor.)
  11. @Vee, I wish I had your confidence that these bills will pass. The longer the tug-of-war goes on, the more jaded I become. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how this all shakes out.
  12. Who was played by Terry Lester, a.k.a. Mason Capwell #2. Funny how that works.
  13. Well, "helping" Eden and Cruz also involved more money or something, if I remember right, or some bonus in CC's will or whanot. As much as I liked Mason, that made it make more sense.
  14. UGH, Tori. Hated her. From beginning to end. All she really existed as was a foil. Maybe had the writers not made her a rapist (Cruz) and drug-addicted shrew and gave her a bit more of a backbone, I could have warmed to her. As it was, though, I did not miss Kristen Meadows once she left the show.
  15. Can't picture it at all. Dylan may have been eye candy, but I think Julia needed someone that stimulated her intellectually as well as physically and emotionally. For that reason alone, Mason really was a great match for her. (Yeah, I have a bias, but I also think it's true that Julia needed someone as intelligent as she was. And yes, maybe a bit as neurotic/messed up. LOL!)
  16. I'm where you're at.
  17. How ironic, seeing Christopher Allport. Just saw him on a Hunter repeat last night! (Shame how he died so young.) He played a lot of shady guys but was good at it. (Although the Hunter role was sympathetic.) To add another soap connection here, Tasia Valenza (ex-Dottie, AMC) also appeared in the episode, "Playing God".
  18. Chris Noth is a regular on The Equalizer with Queen Latifah and is also part of the Sex And The City revival, And Just Like That. So he may not be available.
  19. As I said in the thread about the revival, I don't know how I feel. While the original should have outlasted SVU and should not have been axed for the failure that was Law & Order: Los Angeles, it has been over a decade since this last aired. And many of the existing cast members are now on other shows. And, frankly, the current writing on Dick Wolf shows does not exactly inspire confidence in me that the revival will not end up schitting on the original. And some, let's be honest, are too old now. (I adore Sam Waterston, but the man is over 80 now.) That means new blood, and casting is very hit or miss. Sometimes, things are best left alone. (But I will watch the first episode to gauge an opinion should it truly come to pass.)
  20. While I don't think this should have been canceled when it was, bringing it back so many years later...I don't know how I feel.
  21. Wow, I completely forgot that Carrie left with Mike. (And considering Mike's history, I know I should have probably been squicked out. But I was one of those viewers that liked Carrie/Mike over Carrie/Austin.)
  22. Not soaps, but he did have the NBC series, Voyagers, under his belt - think Quantum Leap, but with a kid in tow (and not jumping into people's bodies!). Last I knew, that was on DVD. And, naturally, he died on the set of his last spy series, Cover Up, which aired on CBS. (Ironically, the actor to replace Hexum after his accidental death, Antony Hamilton, also died young, at just 42, of AIDS-related complications in 1995. And Hamilton starred with Peter Graves and Thaao Penghlis [Tony/Andre, Days) in the Mission: Impossible '80s revival, which aired on ABC. Also on DVD.) The hospital Jon-Erik Hexum died in, Beverly Hills Medical Center, changed hands and is now a Marriott Residence Inn. (That place has to be haunted, I'd imagine, considering it's a former hospital!)
  23. Yeah, but he did do that cheesetastic movie with Joan Collins, Making Of A Male Model (I think that was the title!), back in 1983.
  24. Thank you! Now that I know, I'll be sure to keep an eye out. Appreciate it!
  25. Sorry, @Vee. But I hated Billie - HATED. (Loved Bo/Carly 1.0 and Bo/Hope.) So the fact that Hope came back (and Peter Reckell's Bo!) filled me with joy when Billie flew away. And the Billie hate persisted with Krista Allen's (villainous) version as well as Julie Pinson's, so it must have been the character as a whole. The puzzle box scene with Bo/Hope with Billie looking on still makes me grin like a maniac when I watch it.
