After years and years of time spent on trying to make Abby work I’m glad they finally stopped trying and just have her as a background character. I use to be a defender of MO years ago but it’s clear now that the role is kaput and MO is part of the issue.

ATWT: Barbara getting barbecued and then her descent into madness with James at her side culminating in the spa storyline, which I secretly enjoyed seeing. Later on I liked Henry and Barbara as well. AW: Cristy Carson having a body count over her hiding secret crush on Cass will never not be hysterical to me. B&B: Lord where to start? 🤣 I’ll go with Thomas and Brooke on an island with aphrodisiac berries lol. Days: Again where to start?🤣 I’ll go with Vivian’s tooth, the 2007 sorority house murder, and Grandma Caroline turning nasty/bitter and switching paternity results (why the show later undid that twist I don’t understand, Peggy McCay was fantastic in that confession scene). GL: Like others have mentioned I was entertained by the Reva clone (remember when clone Reva planned her honeymoon for Genoa City because she was a Y&R watcher?) and Nursery Rhyme Stalker stories. Also I’ll add in the Marion Crane story. Y&R: Margaret & Miles story was always fun for me. I was also a fan of Tony & Megan’s storyline. Amber was so out of place on Y&R but I was always amused. 🤣😂 Killer Guacamole was the last Passions story I remember fully watching and the sheer hilariousness of it all…Theresa purchased a hospital bed & equipment for Ethan in a secluded cabin after hijacking an ambulance was just so Passions. After that, it seemed every character on the show started getting raped constantly so stopped watching it, missing just about all of 2006-2008 except for the 2007 NBC ending and then around the finale. The show was at its best parodying there 2001-03 but even that could be a bit much with the endless endless flashbacks, fakeouts, never ending days, what is in TC’s shed mania. The fart/poop jokes became a bit much, with Beth’s mom deliberately peeing on Beth’s wedding dress to sabotage the wedding, Beth crapping herself after Sheridan proclaimed “I know the truth!” thinking Sheridan was talking about Marty when really it was about something minuscule, Miguel getting the runs after Kay’s spell went awry etc. Don’t ask me why I have that etched in memories 🥴

The Thanksgiving family photos look good. Much much better to have a traditional holiday episode rather than that asinine idiotic Gloria and Phyllis fantasy episode the show did two years ago. I agree the zero follow-up to Friday’s big cliffhanger was very strange, especially given how much attention it is getting at the moment. Probably the biggest news on Y&R since SW returned last year. I still think the best route for Chance is to start his own high end PI business.

I personally wanted Ryan and Jill to have an affair with each other there in the mid-90’s as the sexual tension was through the roof between the two lol. I think the show was going to go there in 1996 but kind of backed off, which is disappointing as it was at time when Jill was having personal issues with Nina and professional issues with Victoria.

I feel they had their equal moments of popularity, although Ryan was definitely the love of Victoria’s life. Cole and Victoria’s saga brought in bigger ratings in early 1994 though. Ryan was definitely more popular than Cole, although he was a colossal hypocritical jerk, and those characteristics are what lead to his untimely demise for sure.

Haha thanks! I remember watching this episode years ago and was shocked how nasty and callous Traci got, especially given everything Lauren had just went through when she brought up Scotty. As Traci was largely recurring 1993-94, it definitely played a part in setting up that infamous catfight in the hospital waiting room the following year. I think it must have been a few eps or couple weeks later when Lauren told Brad about the run in and accused Traci of being responsible for the puzzle pieces.

Woah!!! This is a shocker to me as well! I have wanted Cole back on the show for years now, but not this way. Peck and AH had some decent chemistry on AMC back in the day so I was curious about that.

Wow Liam had some freaking nerve to point blank no only to ask Hope if she wants a baby with Thomas but to also ask if she’s on birth control…..what a freaking little puke! Not a fan of Hope and Thomas at all given the messy history but hey I think Finn and Thomas need to team up and beat Liam down. I remember that mess lol. Same thing Liam needs to fade into the woodwork. I mean it appears he is also a deadbeat dad these days to both his bio daughters and his adopted son.

Why Gundaker isn’t the solo EP of this show puzzles me sometimes. I actually appreciate the fact Mamie is appearing regularly at the moment even on this story I really hope she just sticks around for good. Jill hasn’t even seen her grandson yet thought it appears But is there a need for Chance in the corporate world? It be more believable if Chance became out resident high end PI in Genoa City like Paul was before. As @Paul Raven would probably predict all we would end up seeing is Chance hold a Chancellor-Winters board meeting with Jill, Devon, Lily and Nate in Crimson Lights were they praise Chance for being the most successful and innovative newbie CEO ever. Going back a few posts, Audra is still my favorite Y&R character at the moment. VB’s Heather is refreshing to have back but yeah without Paul her connections are pretty limited unless the show wanted to have Heather befriend Adam and/or Chance again. Couple nitpicks, Daniel told Summer that Sally Spectra redecorated his apartment. I know Sally did NOT pick out that ugly green sofa from 1969 LOL. And while the show always has Nate wearing purple, did his leather blazer needed to have a lavender hume to it too?

At this point it could be anything really. The Newmans got off scot free for Ashland’s death last year, perhaps Jordan is Ashland’s vengeful sister while Claire is his illegitimate daughter? That definitely would be a score to settle. Jordan and Claire are part of Bobby Marsino’s family? Related to Matt Clark? Jordan is really Eve Howard alive and in the flesh? Now THIS is an intriguing development given how Hayley Erin’s Claire has been going so far, especially since their was gossip that Jordan was going to be an Nikki doppelgänger. I’m thrilled to see Colleen on screen again and I hope the show doesn’t waste her talents as I feel Y&R did with Robert Newman as Ashland 2.0 last year.

Sean Young’s Meggie was fun, especially when they established she had a connection to Murphy. Early Patty/Mary Jane stuff in 2009 was pretty good until it went wayyy off the rails for the worst. Same maybe this should have been saved for February sweeps instead? Have Claire set her eyes on at least one male character?

Today’s episode should’ve ended with Steffy slapping Liam or her laughing in his face in the very least.

That reminds me of when years ago back in 2000 the character Gary Dawson who was stalking Victoria had oversized copy of her infamous “Miss September” mag cover appearance in 1994 plastered on his wall. And no, we don’t need to find out that Claire has Casey in the deep freezer or discover “Aunt Jordan” is Nikki’s long lost twin sister.

Wow that escalated quickly…. As some of us have speculated it seems to there is a connection between Claire, Casey, and Nikki although nothing is clear from the next week’s preview.

At the time I actually did like Driscoll’s (who I liked on GL) Chance being paired with Chloe back when Chloe was a potential vixen (before turning full out sociopath) with Nina’s disapproval. The whole quad of Chance/Chloe/Ronan/Heather was a disaster and very clumsily written and ruined quick by MAB/Sheffer/Hamner/Rauch, which is why they dropped both Chance and Ronan in the long run of things.

LOL it’s actually his 3rd appearance on B&B but his first as Brodie the Manny….and yes it was cheesy AF. Previously he played a paramedic during Finn & Steffy’s shooting and then the hapless attendant Quinn stole a bicycle from last year on her way to stop Carter & Paris’ wedding and also

Colleen was a strange case as she lived on the east coast and didn’t want to commit to full time returning with her 2004 return; that said it was reported she was shocked when Lesli Kay was hired as Felicia the following year to finish out Felicia’s story and felt hurt she wasn’t asked back. Idk what happened. Dion was a soap hopper on various east coast soaps, usually playing a psycho lol except for her role on AW. I was actually surprised he gave up on Ingo as Thorne so quickly just as I was surprised to see WH back for the 35th anniversary episode last year. I don’t know who he’d want as Thorne these days as I don’t think B&B has the budget anymore for ABC Daytime hires.

Had JG written any of that, Olivia would’ve slapped Keesha and then left town never to be seen again, Brad and Nikki saying “oops we made a one time mistake we won’t do it again!” and as for Matt’s shooting I can see it now…. ”Nick tells Sharon it’s time to end this drama, so he arranges for him, Sharon, Matt, and Amy to meet at Crimson Lights. There is a moment where it doesn’t seem Sharon will come, but she shows up dramatically late last minute with great great reluctance. Matt profusely apologizes to Sharon and will turn himself in for the rape…Sharon hesitates…but she forgives him, but thinks lots of therapy and time away from Genoa City will do him better as jail time is bad. Amy agrees to the same thing after apologizing for shooting Matt to which Matt agrees he deserved it. The four toast to new beginnings and Nick & Sharon wish them well to both a grateful Matt & Amy. Doris, who has been eavesdropping, rolls in and expresses her happiness of seeing the four of them grow up into mature adults”. 🙈🙈🙈
