The Sonny/Carly can do no wrong writing is exactly why I stopped watching the show for almost a decade I believe. I never understood how they were able to take Avery away from Ava in the first place all those years ago and now it makes even less sense. This show will never be what it could be because it doesn’t matter who the writers are, except for that very brief period when RC really sidelined Sonny, the objective will always be to prop Sonny at the expense of other stronger characters and quite frankly actors.

I couldn’t handle NB’s Spencer, and then the kiddie love triangle with Emma who I also thought couldn’t act 😂 Speaking of Emma, has she been SORAS’d yet?

I loved young Ciara on Days before she was SORAS’d so I may be the wrong person 😂 But I despised young Spencer. Which one of those two was she more like?

I guess I haven’t seen enough of Violet to have this visceral reaction you all have. Was she featured a lot more prominently before I started watching?

Um hey thanks for spoiling it for me. I had no idea about any contracts so thanks know it all. Sure ignore that Carly has been off and on with Sonny knowing who he is for the last 20+ years 🙄. You knew exactly what I meant. She had 2 kids with him and then literally chose him to be the father of her first born over growing up as a Quartermaine. She’s literally in this mess for posing as the head of his organization. But yes let’s pretend to not understand.

The Violet and Finn scenes were really touching and well done. I can’t believe I care about a Michael Easton character right now and now they’re writing him off for 3 months 🤦🏽‍♂️

I actually love the idea that Carly’s love of all things Corinthos, finally catching up to her and her going to prison for it. It won’t happen though.

Is it safe to say the relationship with Brook Lynn is why we have this new heart and soul of the Quartermaines, Tracy now. I genuinely enjoy all of their scenes together and JE and AS are just perfect scene partners together to sell that relationship.

Yikes they didn’t even try to get an actress that looks similar to Camila at all. Which is disappointing given how great the temp casting for Sloan was. Hopefully she can act.

This is my issue. There was never an intervention of any sort with all his loved ones. It just instantly went to we’re taking Violet.

I’m so glad Ava defended herself against Sonny today. He is quite literally the last person in Port Charles to EVER take a moral stand against someone even if it’s Ava.

Omg all the constant crying and tears in his eyes every scene last time he was on the show was just awful. I never saw him in the 90’s so I have none of the affection for him longtime viewers have. I much preferred GV.

Are we supposed to be on Brook Lyn and Chase’s side? Because all this story is doing is making me feel bad for Finn. Gregory has been dead what? 3 weeks? They’re filing restraining orders and custody agreements because the man is grieving. Yes the day he cut himself and passed out was bad but this still feels SO excessive. Maybe I’m alone in this.

I was so shocked how hooked I was on the show. I had to get through like 10 episodes and I was totally all in. You guys gave me worried this won’t last which sucks. There’s a lot of good things that are working for me on the show right now. I haven’t watched this much GH in I dunno how many years at this point. I genuinely didn’t think the show could draw me back in but here I am!

6/20 Sam finding out Jason willingly stayed away from his kids for Carly, just wow. Everything she said and felt was completely valid. I’ve always considered the Sonny/Carly/Jason trio to be just the most absolute toxic in their devotion to each other. Lord now Finn doesn’t even have a job. They are putting this man through it. I haven’t watched in years so I haven’t had the chance to hate Finn like you guys, so for me this all feels a little excessive 😂 The way that Jason cares so little about Drew is actually hilarious. They are literally brothers in blood only. I don’t even remember their interactions when Billy Miller was on the show. I’d like to go back and see what that relationship was like. The scene with Drew and Jason at the wedding was so good. Also I absolutely love the Nina and Maxie relationship. They really do feel like gal pals. And the Drew/Willow/Nins story is truly about to heat up. Just saw your edit. I’m actually surprised how much I’m enjoying CM as Drew right now and it’s all because of the Nina story and the obvious simmering with Willow. Honestly the way I despised Ryan Lavery, I didn’t think I’d accept Cam as a recast for a role that I enjoyed the originator of quite a bit, but he’s won me over. And yes the beard helps tremendously.

Okay I thought that’s how I remembered it. Onto 6/19 Holy cow Finn takes his Dad’s death a little hard and now they want to get CPS involved to take Violet? Has Gregory even been dead 2 weeks in soap time? Mac being here is nice. I somehow missed Maxie having three freaking kids?! I hope they’re not going to drag out this Cody telling Mac too long. I hate to say it but I really do enjoy Natalia with Sonny and I absolutely hate Sonny and Natalia is an ass. But they do work together. Maurice lights up around Eva and seems to try.

Oh I love this post! I luckily had dropped GH around the time Sam went back to Jason as everything you mentioned was a clear evolution for her character. And putting her back with Steve’s Jason was more just trying to go with the status quo. I never actually liked Sam and Jason as a couple until Billy was playing him anyway. Did he start Aurora as Drew or Jason??

And honestly this Sam isn’t that surprising to me, I can’t remember if BM was playing Jason or if he was Drew when they were married and got away from the mob to start a company. Honestly it might be the aurora company I keep hearing about. But I remember they were both happily completely removed from the mob world at the time. And I liked the progression. Honestly I had become a big fan of BM’s Jason because of the moving away from Steve’s Jason’s life.

6/18 I actually found myself agreeing with BOTH Carly and Sam in that conversation and I actually don’t like either woman 😂😂. Sam used to be the most hardcore of hardcore ride or dies. But Sam was also right, Carly ABSOLUTELY does not want Jason to change.

6/17 Really really enjoyed the Alexis and Finn scenes. Nancy is probably ME’s best scene partner. Willow reeeeally loves some Drew 😂

6/12 TJ said absolutely nothing wrong to Molly. They picked Kristina’s wild ass and now she’s gonna end up keeping their baby because Molly needed to be related to the child. It is a little hard for me to care about this storyline though as the TJ and Molly I watched for years are not the ones in the storyline, though I’ve accepted Mansi as Kristina. I thought Maurice was actually trying in the scenes at Kristina’s apartment. It’s just when he started talking about Dex, you see in plain display he is not a talented thespian. I’ve never been big on LW as Carly, but I will say that woman sells the hell out of Jason being the bestest most specialist person she’s ever met on the planet.

You mean to tell me Jagger doesn’t know what Jason Morgan’s long time wife and mother of one of his kids looks like?
