A male character striking a woman is always alarming, but the discussion of Kin Shriner refusing to allow Scotty to hit a woman during Ron Carlivati’s tenure reminded me of this: Alan Quartermaine slapping Reese April 7-8, 2005, which was sort of emblematic of the character at the time. It happens 37 minutes into this episode: “You’re nothing but a whore with a badge.”

  3. If it’s not too early to think about the 2020 Oscars:
  4. Indeed. It’s a well-documented sh!tshow, which had been run by fratboys. One of my former interns worked there and shared many, many horror stories. Basically it sounded like Wolf of Wall Street to an extent. They’ve been trying to turn over a new leaf under Nancy Dubuc from A&E. Speaking of Vice - Happy Friday!
