  2. I took that tweet out of my post since it’s a bit of a distraction but here it is for reference: https://twitter.com/RobGeorge/status/1410060493486710790?s=20
  3. Holy sh!t. Heads need to roll. NY1 coming with the scoops.
  4. Totally agree. Again, I wouldn’t be against a show swap for some characters.
  5. Eboni just bangs that same note over and over and over… and over. It’s exhausting. Again, this is 7-8 episodes in. We’re approaching the midpoint of the season. And I blame Bravo. Last summer, post-George Floyd, the Vanderpump Rules firings, and the overall cultural reckoning that was happening, it was clear that the zeitgeist wanted Ramona and the rest of these ladies to have a reckoning of their own. Enter Eboni, with her preachy elementary-school history lessons. They assumed the audience would be, Yaas queen! Black girl magic! This current season would have played differently a year ago. But I think people now, post-pandemic, are just craving a messy fun season with some new faces. Right now, Eboni feels like a killjoy. Should she have to bite her tongue if she feels abused or dismissed by these ignorant, sheltered white women? Absolutely not. But this isn’t good television. It’s repetitive and suffocating. (And when it’s not Eboni’s preaching, it’s Leah’s fake tears and “drunken” melodrama. Plus her dead-eyed sister Sarah.) It speaks to the challenges of addressing difficult topics on reality TV. RHONY is doing a sh!t job of it right now. This is a series that has dealt with uncomfortable things like death (which ultimately led to the powerful episode of Dorinda and Carole in London) with a deft hand. Over time… Not all packed in few episodes. I sense producers wanted Eboni and Bershan to compete for that black girl apple, which is very problematic in ways that they weren’t aware of. It’s performative wokeness. That said, we’re seeing scenes, like with Luann and Victoria, that we should have seen earlier.
  6. Frank Valentini’s statement:
  7. From Ghana 🇬🇭
  8. Kathryn Garcia made up a lot of ground with the ranked-choice voting in the NYC Dem mayoral primary. She has 48.9 percent to Eric Adams’s 51.1 in the simulation with all the other candidates eliminated, a 16k gap. 124k mail-in ballots have yet to counted. Those results will come July 6. Eric Adams claims irregularities:
  9. I’m glad Bershan is giving voice to this. Hopefully she lights a fire under this off-putting season.
  10. Just a legendary scene from the Labine era.
  11. It’s just too bad his character died a long time ago, unlike many of the other GH actors who’ve had recent tributes (like John Reilly). Still they’d be stupid and disrespectful not to give the guy his flowers. Alan was a leading character on the show throughout GH’s pop-culture zenith. There’d be a lot of interest in a tribute, even if it were simply Port Charles honoring the anniversary of Alan’s passing or something.
  12. That’s exactly how I feel. If it somehow managed to have LGBT characters (not necessary but would have been great), it would be my idea of soap perfection.
  13. Oh nooooo. What an absolute legend. Been watching old Alan clips lately. Becoming such a tough year for soaps so far…
  14. That’s upsetting. I just saw the clip. Are the courts in good condition? Wimbledon needs to answer for the state of these courts… Like I get that new grass is slippery, especially after all the rain, but when the GOAT female player potentially ends her career with a tumble on your court, right after another player has a bad injury due to a slip, you might need to take a look at things…
  15. I heard that people were laughing and joking around after the match. Kinda sh!tty for a match where a player retired due to injury. Slippery courts?
  16. LOL. It’s soooo bad. I just have it on in the background.
  17. What’s happening with Roger right now?
  18. It’s his bangs lol. They tremble a lot (compare to Amy’s hair in her debate performances and Rachel Dratch’s SNL impersonation). He’s actually wearing a lot of product in his hair for his scenes with Ashland and Victor, but it was totally noticeable in those Chelsea scenes. Sorry, this is the stuff I notice when I’m not otherwise engaged lol.
  19. I don’t think Brad has *ever* cared about Carter or Justin as much as Thomas or Flo (whom they’ve had embraced by the Logans), so there’s a lot of reason to be skeptical. Still if B&B proves me wrong, I’ll be the first to cop to it. Justin is actually being given a POV, which is somewhat of the blue, but that’s far more than what Carter’s getting.
  20. No. It’s just interesting to me that the two black sidekicks to the core families have similar stories, even if the magnitude is different. A curious coincidence for two barely-there characters.
