    -Marlena an Shawn console Belle as she is told that Claire is all out of chances and its too late to save her. Mimi tells Bonnie that its ok for Belle to need Shawn right now. Their child is dying. Mimi goes over to comfort Belle as Bonnie looks on with worry for her daughter’s future.

    -Abe and Lexie share a close moment as they bond over Zack’s condition. Abe relates to it since he was blind but can’t imagine how a child would feel going through that. Celeste sees this and wonders if maybe Abe will forgive Lexie but everything goes south when Lexie asks what this means for their future since they are getting along. Abe snaps at her and angrily reminds her of all the chances he has given her in the past and she has never learned. She was dishonest yet again and betrayed him. He walks away in disgust. Celeste comforts him and then goes to check on Lexie, who is searching for a heart donor for JT and a cornea donor for Zack. She breaks down in her mother’s arms over all the tragedy happening. Celeste asks Lexie where she is staying right now. She lies and says she is at the Salem Inn, figuring it would not be best to tell Abe she is at the Dimera house right now since it may cause more tension. She needs to smooth things over before she shares that with him. Celeste asks for a number but Lexie gets some huge information and rushes off before telling her.

    -Alice, Doug, Julie, Caroline, Victor, Jen, Frankie, Max, Abby, Bo, and Hope are all waiting in the lobby. Billie and Kate are still there, which is not sitting well with many. Roman alerts everyone that the search for Phillip is not nationwide. Julie feels bad that her car was responsible but Hope insists it wasn’t her fault. Hope and Bo and the rest of the family comfort Shawn and Belle. They all decide to go and see Claire. Bo and Hope say hello for the first time to the granddaughter they never knew they had. This prompts yet another fight with Kate for keeping the secret, which is stopped by Bo. Victor blames himself to but Caroline insists that he made a mistake but Kate knew long before him and was taking measures to keep the truth hidden. Caroline, Alice, Doug, Julie, Roman, and Maggie all say hello and goodbye to her, along with Bo and Hope. Sami and Carrie go in to with Marlena and say their goodbyes. Kate shocks everyone when she asks if she could go in. After all, she believed her to be her granddaughter once. Belle lets her and Billie, Lucas, and Austin go in too to say goodbye. Mimi goes in with Belle and Shawn as they say emotional goodbyes to their daughter as Shawn regrets missing time with her as a father but us thankful for the time he had. Bonnie tells Mimi to get Shawn out of there but Mimi tells her to shut up and back off since its not the right time and there is a child dying. Belle wishes that her father could be there to say goodbye. Just then, John comes into the room to the delight of everyone. Marlena and Kate both embrace him and catch him up to speed on everything. They wonder why he is out of bed. John says he woke up and learned about Claire. He is shocked to hear about all the other bad news. He pats Shawn on the back and consoles him, saying he is sympathetic to his situation. It is very similar to his with Marlena and Belle, only he didn’t lose Belle. He comforts his daughter and Marlena. Lexie then arrives and announces that Claire’s death has a bright side-she is a match for JT and Zack. Her heart has not been damaged yet and her corneas can possibly give Zach his sight back. Bo and Hope are elated, along with everyone else. Belle and Shawn talk it over and realize this is the right thing to do and give permission. They say a final goodbye to Claire and we see a montage of Claire’s short life set to the song, “My Baby Love” (not sure if that is the name but I love that song). Claire is taking up to surgery, along with Zack and JT. Everyone goes to the chapel to pray that things go well and for Claire’s soul.

    -Maggie and Lucas continue to worry, each privately, about their memory flashes. They wonder if Phillip is innocent and one of them is guilty. They both know each other was drunk and driving but don’t mention to each other their memory flashes. While everyone else goes to the chapel, Lucas goes to his car. Sami sees him wander off and walks off after him. Carrie and Austin are left alone and he tries to comfort her but she continues to fight her feelings for him and backs away. Austin still can’t understand what is going on but decides to leave it alone for now. Meanwhile, Maggie continues to have that vague flashback but can’t remember anything else. She continues to worry, which is noticed by Doug and Julie. Lucas goes down to the hospital garage to check out his car. He is shocked when his worst fears are confirmed-his tires are the same ones that were on Julie car’s that Philip stole. That makes the tire tracks a match and both cars are the same color. Lucas’s headlight is broken too but he realizes both his and Maggie’s would be since their cars collided. He just doesn’t know if his headlight was busted before that and if it was, all that combined with what he knows could mean he hit Zack. Lucas panics and gets upset wondering why he did what he did, in regards to falling off the wagon, and if he could be responsible for something that awful (in regards to hitting Zack). He is stunned when he turns around and sees Sami there who asks him, “What the hell is going on Lucas?” Lucas responds, “Nothing alright. I am just upset about everything going on that’s all.” Sami pushes it and mentions how Lucas was looking at his car and talking to himself. She saw it from a distance and he looks like he is covering up something. She demands to know what it is or she will just have to find out herself. Lucas looks on with worry as Sami waits for answers with a confident look on her face as the screen freezes on her face and Lucas’s intermingled together and then goes to black.

    On the next Days...

    Salem mourns Claire. Plans are made for Chelsea and Patrick’s funeral. Lexie brings news about Zack and JT. Sami is hot on Lucas’s trail. Someone is stalking John and Marlena.

    JANUARY 24, 2008-EPISODE #421: UNDERNEATH THE SURFACE


    ORPHEUS SECRET PALATIAL HOME(on the outskirts of Salem)

    Joey is watching TV while Nicole works on a computer, researching ways to make her escape from the country. Joey soon interrupts her by yelling out he is bored. There is nothing on TV. Nicole suggests going to bed but Joey reminds her he caught up on all his sleep last night and this morning. He says he wishes he had his video games. Nicole says she is glad as she would get annoyed by the sound and annoying visuals. Joey asks if she likes to have any fun. Nicole asks what kind of question that is. Joey points out how she is so serious all the time. Nicole tells Joey she has alot on her mind so it's hard to sit back, relax, and have fun.

    Joey thinks everyone needs to have fun once in awhile but he doesn't think she knows how. A befuddled Nicole looks at him and says she knows how and will prove it to him. Joey is pleased and says she can start by taking him to get his video game stuff from his house. Nicole can't believe she fell for his game as he wanted nothing more then to make sure she took him to get what he wants. Joey smiles, saying he knew he had no choice as she is one tough lady. Nicole thanks him for the compliment but says neither one of them should go out for fear of being spotted. Joey asks if Nicole is going to jail. Nicole spits out her drink and asks where he would get that idea. Joey smiles, point out she was in disguise when she found him and goes out all the time in disguise and is always worried about being spotted. He can't think of any other reason.

    Nicole thinks Joey is too smart for his own good. She thinks for a minute and asks if he will back off a bit if they get his stuff. Joey nods, saying he can pick up most of his stuff while there. He couldn't before because things were crazy. Nicole asks what he means but Joey says he doesn't want to talk about it. Nicole says ok and that they can go but she needs to be in disguise and he needs to dress in layers to avoid being noticed, although she points out it is cold so it should be easy. Joey agrees and says then she can prove to him she does know how to have fun. Nicole shrugs him off and says whatever. They need to get ready so they can go and come back ASAP. They both go their separate ways and prepare as the scene shifts to...


    BRADY PUB

    Bo is stunned to see the familiar face in front of him...CARLY MANNING!! He embraces her, asking what she is doing in Salem. Carly says she came to warn those she loves and, in a way, for her own protection. Bo realizes she has her memory back. Carly says that happened a few months ago. She says it began when news hit that Steve Johnson was alive. Word of Lawrence being responsible for Steve's "death" was all over and she had always went and read The Salem Spectator at a local coffee shop in Paris. Lawrence never knew it because, if he did, he would stop her. he never wanted her to think about Salem or remember anything so he isolated her from all reminders but she kept being drawn to Salem and knowing about the happenings so, one day, she was at the coffee shop and saw the Spectator and made a stop every day to keep tabs on Salem. That is how she learned about Lawrence's involvement with Steve's "death."

    Carly goes on to say reading that made her suspicious about Lawrence so she went digging for more info. She learned of all his past misdeeds and her memory began to come back with every piece of evidence she found. Eventually, it all came back and she knew she had to bolt before Lawrence learned the truth. The cops and ISA had been tracking him but they need hard evidence other then Steve's words or circumstantial evidence. Carly points out there is evidence out there and she has it but she couldn't get it out of the house. She just knew if she could escape and lay low for awhile that, eventually, she could help bring Lawrence down.

    Carly explains how she packed her bags and left Lawrence but, right before that, she bumped into Vivian, who came for a visit. Vivian and her still did not get along, even when she didn't have her memory, and Carly reveals Vivian knew right away that she had her memory back. Bo asks what happened. Carly says, shockingly, Vivian let her go and gave her some money. Carly adds that she stuck around after and that Vivian covered for her and allowed her time to get a head start. Bo admits being shocked by that. Carly thinks Vivian just wanted her out of Lawrence's life. She always did and this was a way of doing it without her hands getting dirty. She just told her not to tell Lawrence. Carly explains she was on the run since, making money by practicing medicine by way of house calls and in a free lance fashion.

    Bo is stunned by this and asks if she heard about Forrest Alamain. Carly nods, saying she did. She's heard about everything, including Frankie's death. She then reveals she has been in town since after Christmas but kept a low profile. She points out Lawrence is either on his way or already in Salem. She learned that shortly after arriving in Salem as one of his former servants became quite close with her and keeps her updated on what he hears of Lawrence's movements. She didn't want to get caught and she knew they all were going through alot so she just waited for a chance and now she got it. She also wanted solid word about Lawrence before shooting off her mouth or taking a chance and she has heard enough to think he is bearing Salem or already there. Carly admits wishing she could've joined them at Frankie's funeral. She will miss him. Bo wishes she had not taking so long to come forward. Carly reminds him she had her reasons and then adds that all of Lawrence's enemies are in danger so she knew she had to come forward so she called him, not knowing who else to call. She knows he is going through alot.

    Bo says he is happy she did and says they will take action, with her help. Carly agrees to do whatever she can. Bo asks where she is staying. Carly says she couldn't find work without making her presence known so she is staying in a shelter. She's done it alot on the run, especially in big cities. It gives her a chance to help people who can't afford it. Bo says he can't have her staying there and insists she stay with him. Carly says she knows he is staying at the Kiriakis Mansion so, given her history with Victor, that isn't a good idea. Bo asks if she is stalking him. Carly smiles, saying that isn't a bad idea but says she isn't. Bo insists she stay with him, saying it's been a long time and Victor is probably over it. Plus, she needs her protection right now. Realizing Bo isn't going to give up, Carly reluctantly agrees. Bo is pleased and says they should go right now and get out of sight. They can fill everyone else in later. Carly agrees. They walk off as the scene shifts to...


    SALEM PARK

    Jack bumps into Billie, who is wearing sunglasses and seems a little off balance. Jack says he has been calling her and looking all over since she left the funeral and never showed up at the reception afterwards. He asks what happened. Billie reminds him she has been exhausted so she left to try to sleep and just end what was a very hard day but couldn't. Jack thinks maybe she needs sleeping pills. Billie says she will take care of everything and tells Jack she just needs him to back off. Jack says he is just worried given everything she has been through. Billie appreciates that but says she can take care of herself and just needs her space. She tells Jack she has to go and then says bye. Jack says he hopes she feels better and to call if she needs anything. Billie doesn't acknowledge his last words to her and simply walks off.

    Jack is really worried about her and makes a call...to Kate, who asks what is wrong with Billie. Jack asks why she would think that. Kate says it's not like Jack calls her regularly and admits she is concerned about her daughter and knows they are close. Jack says he is worried too and wants to meet with her to discuss Billie. Kate says she has to meet with a lawyer to discuss Lucas' case but, after that, she will meet him and says she will call him. Jack thanks her, saying he thinks Billie may be hiding something. Meanwhile, under a bridge in the park, Billie drinks heavily from her flask. The scene then shifts to...

    Another area of the park, where Abby is sitting with Max, asking if he wants to get a bite to eat. Max shakes his head, saying he doesn't know why she would even want to be with him right now as he is a major downer. Abby says she knows he's going through a rough time and she is there for him. Max says he doesn't know what he would do without her. Without her, he would've fallen apart by now. Abby tells him she is just glad she forgave him and gave him another chance because it was truly worth it. Max says he is glad too or else he would be a worse mess right now.

    Abby thinks their problems last year were a good thing as it made her realize how much she really cares about him. Abby then takes his hand and Max says he agrees. They both smile at each other. Abby then says she has an idea and tells Max she is going to make this day all about just enjoying each other and trying to move on. It's what Frankie would want. Max isn't sure but Abby insists he at least try. She pulls him up off the bench and drags him off, telling him to come on as the scene shifts to...

    Steve, who is walking aimlessly through the park. Hope is walking up a path and sees Steve. She notices he is upset and asks if he is ok. Steve says he just wants to be alone. Hope asks if it's about Kayla. Steve gives her a cold look and Hope apologizes. It's none of her business. She says goodbye and begins to leave when Steve yells out that it is Kayla and they just had another fight. He admits that he thinks it's over. Hope tells Steve she is sorry. Steve points out they are both in the same boat. Hope nods, saying the future doesn't look so good for either of them and they deserve it. Steve agrees, wishing he had listened to Hope and just left the past alone.

    Hope says there is nothing they can do but points out they may have had a chance of saving their marriages if Nicole had no interfered. Steve wishes they had no called her bluff. Hope agrees but says that Nicole was unreasonable and that she believes Nicole never cared if they did anything for her. She would've destroyed them anyway to prove her point that the Brady's are hypocrites. She hates all of them for the way she has been treated. Steve thinks someone needs to teach her a lesson, one that she will never forget. Hope agrees, saying she played with their lives and destroyed many others in the process, showing no remorse. Steve admits it won't be pretty if he ever finds Nicole. Hope agrees, saying she doesn't know what she would do to her if she saw her right now. The scene then shifts to...


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Stephanie is with Kayla, who has told her about Steve's visit. Stephanie thinks she shouldn't leave from now on as she doesn't want Steve to keep upsetting
    Kayla. Kayla says it's fine and adds she does have to talk to him eventually. She just can't deal with it right now. Stephanie asks if that means Kayla wants to work things out. Kayla shakes her head, saying she has no clue what she is going to do. Stephanie thinks she shouldn't as she doesn't even consider Steve her father anymore. Kayla urges her not to think that way. He will always be her father and people make mistakes. Stephanie emphasizes this was a BIG mistake. Kayla nods, saying if she continues to feel the way she does right now, she thinks Steve and her will be through...for good. Kayla then turns toward the window and looks out it, wiping away tears as the scene fades to black.

    1/25/06 (Hey guys-I am updating everything and trying to catch up so that everything is on schedule for thsi week and the guest star stuff. This episodes are really short because I am trying to catch up so I apologize in advance. I am doing my best. Also note that there are two episodes in this entry. Keep reading and commenting )

    -Lucas lies his lies his way out of Sami’s interrogation. Sami is still suspicious and decides to keep an eye on him.
    -Carrie continues to keep her distance from Austin, as he wonders why.
    -Everyone at the hospital mourns Claire after they get word that the transplants were a success. Bonnie continues to warns Mimi of Shawn and Belle’s closeness as the former couple comforts each other. Marlena and John comfort their daughter and then share a close moment as he vows to help her get her memory back and to get their family through this trying time. Someone watches them at the hospital.
    -Bo, Hope, Alice, Doug, Julie, Maggie, Caroline, Victor, and Jen all thank Shawn and Belle for giving permission to save JT and Zach. They insist it was the right thing. Shawn and Belle go up with everyone else to see JT and Zach. Belle and Shawn look at both boys and wish them well since Claire would want it that way and they now have parts of Claire in them. Bo and Hope share a close moment with their boys. The rest of the Horton’s and Brady’s gather around too and express their joy and happiness. Lexie cautions everyone that they need to wait to see if both transplants took but she believes they have. Billie and Kate note how Bo and Hope are getting along. Billie warns her mother not to suggest she break them up again but Kate says she has realized her mistakes and all their ill effects. She doesn’t know how she is going to deal with the person she is and what she has done. Billie and her plan a memorial for Chelsea. They tell Bo about it and he says he will be there. He is not sure if anyone else will. He goes back to Hope and Billie realizes that he is right-no one may not show up. She decides to have Chelsea’s service with Patrick’s which Bonnie protests too blaming Chelsea for Patrick’s death.. Kate offers to pay for the service (her and Billie are doing this because they know no one will show up for Chelsea so by combining both services some will come) and Bonnie then accepts. Billie and Kate leave the hospital to make the plans.
    -Roman goes back to the station to monitor the search for Phillip. Bonnie hugs him and gives him a kiss on the cheek as he leaves, which makes him smile.
    -Abe and Celeste bond over the good news about Zach. Lexie is happy too and notices the closeness between Abe and her mother. She wonder what that is about. Abe and Celeste leave the hospital and tell Bo and Hope to keep them updated on Zach and JT.
    -Jennifer and Frankie are overjoyed about JT and Zach and sad about Claire. She confesses she is sick of all the doom and gloom around them. Frankie comforts her. Max and Abby talk about everything going on as she is clearly upset about all the tragedy too. He embraces her as they continue to grow closer.
    -Alice, Doug, and Julie question Maggie about her nervous behavior. She insists she is fine and manages to get through the questions ok. Alice, Doug, and Julie still are suspicious and decide to work together to find out if more is going on with Maggie then they know. Maggie continues to have flashbacks of her drunken escapade and worries that she did hit Zach. She and Lucas don’t tell each other about the flashbacks or the evidence on his car he found. They decide not tell anyone right now about what happened with them until the crisis is completely over. Sami sees the two in cahoots and vows to learn what is up.
    -Victor and Caroline embrace over the good news for Bo and Hope and the bad news for Shawn and Belle. She still insists that he keep his distance from her until her family gets through all this. He says he will try but knows that she needs him. He leaves as Caroline worries that somehow her secret will come out and destroy her family.

    1/26/06

    -Jen and Abby talk about their relationships with Frankie and Max, as Max and Frankie do the same. All four point out the history and Jen says she has no problem with Abby and Max’s closeness as Abby insists she and Max are only friends like her mother and Frankie. Abby notices her mom’s face and asks if there is more going on as Jen asks the same of Abby about Max. Jen says she loves Frankie but not like she loves Jack and she is not ready to move on yet. Abby tells her mom that if she ended up with Frankie she would be ok with it. She loves him and he was her father’s good friend. Jen hugs her as Frankie and Max return. Max and Abby grow closer during a walk in the park. She rides the swings as he pushes her. Jen and Frankie go home and try to make dinner. She ends up nearly burning the house down. They share another close moment.
    -Jack and Greta are in Australia visiting a specialist. They have no luck. Greta once again tries to convince Jack to go home but he refuses. He decides he wants to have fu n now figuring he is dying and he should enjoy his time. They go out for dinner and dancing and win a dance contest. Their picture is taken and they don’t notice that one of the photographers is with Titan and is doing a spread on Australian fashions and culture. They both then go for a walk on the beach and have a water fight. They end swimming in the ocean and later building a sand castle, as they bond gets stronger.
    -Bo and Hope are with their sons. Zach wakes up and screams for Hope. Lexie comes in and says she will take off the bandages to see if Zach has some vision. She warns him that he may have trouble seeing or it may be cloudy. He can see but its somewhat faded. Bo and Hope are elated. JT wakes up too as Bo and Hope finally reunite with him. They explain what happened to his dad and Barb and that they went to heaven and he is now gonna be with his other mommy and daddy now, Both boys are a little groggy and fall asleep. Bo and Hope are elated and hopeful for the future. She then remembers towards Bo and says they have a lot to work through. Bo agrees and both admit that a lot was said that maybe was wrong. They decide to wait until everything passes before working through everything and that they need to stay together right now for the family’s sake.
    -Maggie continues to worry about her secret. Lexie sees her and asks if she is ok. Maggie lies and says she is but Lexie knows better and asks what is really going on. Maggie insists nothing is wrong and walks away. Sami is following her, which Lexie notices and asks what she is up too. Sami stares her down and walks away. Maggie and Lucas again vow to keep their secret, as both have flashbacks of their time drunk and of his the evidence he found. Sami promises to learn what is going. Lucas and Maggie see her as Lucas informs Maggie that Sami thinks something is up. She asks why she would think that as Lucas tells Maggie about his car having the same tire tracks as Phillip’s and being the same color. He has a broken head light too but doesn’t know if he had it prior to his and Maggie’s car colliding. He admits his flashbacks of hitting something, as she does the same, and both realize that they are both suspects in hitting Zach. It may not be Phillip at all-he may think he did it since he was drunk too. They both vow to keep this a secret and make sure Sami stays off their trail until they know for sure if one of them did it. Until then, they won’t tell anyone anything since they don’t know for sure. Sami sees this and stares at Lucas and Maggie slyly as they look back nervously, worried Sami won’t stop until she gets the goods.

    JANUARY 25, 2008- EPISODE #422: APPROACHING



    ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI

    Miranda and Shane meet Forrest at Robata’s restaurant in St. Louis. As they all sit down, Forrest tells Shane that his brother is on the move. Miranda concurs, saying that everything that she has found out points to Lawrence making a move soon. Shane wonders if Roman ending up in prison, through Stefano, was just a way to neutralize him. Forrest doesn’t put anything past his brother. Shane then says that after their meal, they have to get to Salem and bring the families together.

    Someone needs to tell them...........times are about to get bad once again. As they all order there meal, in Salem.......


    ROMAN AND MARLENA'S HOUSE

    Marlena sits at the dining room table, reading a letter from Roman. As she finishes, she knows that Roman needs her as his doctor sooner rather than later. She runs upstairs to get dressed and, as Sami comes over to see her, Marlena asks her to come to the state prison with her to see Roman. Sami agrees and, as they both head out.....


    ILLINOIS STATE PENITENTIARY

    Roman sits on the edge of his bunk, watching television. Lucas says to him, as he looks up from a book, that Roman isn’t getting any sleep lately. Roman says he’s just having some tough times getting used to being locked up like an animal. Lucas says he’s getting used to the very same thing.......but still seems to sleep well. He asks what it is that Roman is dreaming about. Roman says he can’t make heads or tails of anything but, hopefully, Marlena will help him bring everything out in the open.

    In the waiting area, Marlena and Sami sit and wait. As Roman comes in, the ladies just look at him and Sami keeps to herself how bad her father looks. Roman and Marlena pick up the phones and Marlena asks him if the nightmares are getting worse. Sami is shocked at hearing this for the first time and Roman reluctantly shakes his head yes. Marlena takes Sami’s hand as she tells him she has an idea......she has petitioned the state to allow her to once again become his doctor......

    So that she can help him unlock all these memories. Roman is scared of what he may find and Sami takes the phone, saying that it may be the only way he can get out of prison.. After a few moments, Roman reluctantly agrees and, as both women smile at him......


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Bo walks into the mansion with Carly. She still doesn’t know if this is a good idea and, before Bo can answer,..........Victor walks into the room. Bo looks at both Carly and Victor as they stare at each other and Bo then excuses himself and leaves the room. Victor invites Carly to sit down and he goes to pour some drinks. Carly quietly sits on the couch as Victor bring the drinks over and, as he sits down, they toast each other and take a sip. Nico and Bo walk back into the room and Bo remarks that all the furnishings are still in tact, so.............

    That finally breaks the ice and Victor tells her the past is in the past. Carly really appreciates that, saying that she sees a different man than the one she ran from all those years ago. Victor says that Bo is to thank for that.........and his new wife, Maggie. Carly congratulates him on his marriage, saying she heard about it. Victor then asks why is she back in Salem after all this time and Bo and Nico step forward, with Bo telling Victor......

    Bo: She needs protection........form Lawrence Alamain.

    Victor says that he has been keeping tabs on that man as much as possible but says he’s a touch guy to keep in check. Carly says she doesn’t want to put anyone in danger but came to Salem to warn everyone.......Lawrence is up to something. Victor tells Nico to contact their people in Spain and Ireland and tells Bo to let the servants know that Carly will be staying as long as possible. Victor also says to double the guards around the house. As Victor excuses himself, Bo looks at Carly....

    And they both smile at each other.


    SALEM PARK

    At the ice skating rink, Max thinks this might have been a bad idea. Abby tells him that his only concern is to enjoy himself. Nobody is asking him to forget Frankie and what just happened but he has to at least try to put it out of his mind, at least for a little while. Max says he knows that but.......and Abby says but nothing, as she runs into him.

    Both of them fall into the snow, laughing. Max thanks her for all of this and, as she smiles at him, they draw closer to each other slowly......

    And share a gentle kiss.

    The scene freeze frames on these two and then it slowly fades to black.

    -Belle and Shawn comfort each other over Claire. John and Marlena are there too, as is Bo and Hope. They inform Belle and Shawn that since the funeral for Shawn Sr and Mickey is postponed for a day that they want Claire to be mourned then too. After all, she is part of the family and saved Zach and JT. Shawn and Belle ask if that is possible since she just died but Hope says that all her organs have been donated and that the sooner she is laid to rest, the quicker the healing starts. Belle breaks down again as Mimi looks on. Bo and Hope congratulate Mimi on the pregnancy an insist it’s a good time for some joyous news. Belle is clearly jealous now that Mimi is having Shawn’s child and Claire is gone. Hope talks to Shawn and asks if he plans on marrying Mimi before the baby is born. Shawn says he though about it since it would be right for the baby. Hope and Bo agree as Belle looks on agitated. John and Marlena congratulate Mimi too. Shawn decides to propose to Mimi after the funeral. Belle remembers her promise to stay away from Shawn for Mimi’s sake and tells Shawn that he can go home with Mimi now. Her parent are with her and he should be with Mimi since she needs him and some rest. Bo and Hope agree and they all leave. Shawn promises Mimi a happy life for the baby and for themselves. Belle confesses to her parents her promise concerning Mimi. Marlena is angry with Bonnie for forcing the issue but insists that Belle do stay away from Shawn as much as possible given Mimi’s condition. John notes that Shawn is with Mimi now and they should be left alone as Belle breaks down again over losing Claire, what she did to Phillip, and losing Shawn. Marlena and John console her and promise to be there for her.
    -Bo reluctantly tells Hope about Chelsea and Patrick’s double memorial, which is the day before Claire, Shawn Sr’s, and Mickey’s. Hope says she will pay her respect to Patrick, as will most people, but Chelsea isn’t getting her tears. Bo reminds Hope of their promise to let the tension go until after the funerals since they need to stay together right now. Hope agrees to that but says she will never shed a tears for his bitch of a daughter.
    -Will is by Chelsea (now being played again by Mandy Musgrave) . All her surgeries have been completed and she thanks Will for everything. They try to figure out who is giving them what they need to run away and to pay for her medical bills. She is worried about what she will look like now. Her voice is already different since her vocal cords were damaged and needed to be repaired. Will says it will all turn out fine. She is afraid to go back to Salem as Will says they won’t be. He already told his parents he doesn’t know when he will be back and he tells her about how the letter said that if they went back their families would be destroyed. He says they will be staying away for awhile and they have everything they need to do so. She thanks him for his help as she is grateful she isn’t in this alone as Bart watches from a distance and notes how the boss will be pleased.
    -Sami goes over to Lucas’ apartment and again interrogates him about her finding him in the garage checking out his damaged car. He gets out of it again. They talk about Will and how worried they are but think he will be ok on his own since his parents are both resourceful and strong. They talk about their relationship and end up fighting and once again proclaiming its over. Sami ends up cutting herself on a stack of papers she throws at him and goes to the bathroom to run it under cold water. Maggie then comes running in the door and is in panic. She can’t stop thinking about what happened and Lucas is the only person she can talk too. She is a mess and goes on and on about her role in Mickey and Shawn Sr’s deaths and now everything else that has happened. He tries to quiet her but Sami walks out and again questions the both of them. Lucas ends up kicking her out. Sami tries to hear from outside the door but Lucas catches her. Maggie and Lucas promise again to keep things quiet for the time being. They decide to investigate on their own what happened after the funeral. Maggie thanks Lucas and hugs him. They both insist they are in all this together. She leaves as Sami watches and stares at Lucas from across the hall. Maggie worries about Sami finding out as she leaves the building as Lucas does the same. Sami realizes they are both scared and knows now that something big happened and she isn’t gonna stop until she learns what it is as the screen fades to black.

    On the next Days...

    Chelsea and Patrick’s funeral flops. Roman comforts Bonnie. Shawn changes plans. Hope, Billie, and Kate come to blows.

    SALEM TOWERS RESTAURANT

    Abby and Max are sitting at the table, having just enjoyed dinner together. Abby asks if he is happy she convinced him to go ice skating and then out for dinner. Max says it was more like forcing him but, yes, he is happy. He was finally able to forget about everything, at least for a little while. Abby is pleased and asks if he would like to dance. Max isn't so sure he is up for it as he is beginning to return to reality again. Abby urges him to come on, at least for one dance. Max reluctantly agrees and she pulls him out on the dance floor as they hold each other close and dance as the scene shifts to...


    BRADY PUB

    Hope arrives and asks Caroline and Kim what is going on. Caroline and Kim are both shocked to see her and ask what she is doing there. Hope informs them that Shane called and said there was an emergency family meeting. She admits she was shocked she was called with everything going on. Caroline says that Shane called her and told her something similar but she didn't know who else was coming. Bo then walks in, with Carly and Victor in tow. Nico also walks in. Caroline is shocked to see Carly and races over to hug her just as Forrest, Miranda, and Shane walk in. Caroline asks what she is doing back in Salem. Carly and Bo fill everyone in. Shane explains that is why he is calling the meeting. Forrest and Miranda have discovered some info that suggests Lawrence is on the move and is either nearby or already in Salem. Everyone reacts in horror as Sami, Carrie, Marlena, and Belle come in with Stephanie wheeling Kayla close behind.

    Everyone is shocked to see Kayla. Stephanie reveals she has been released. Steve then walks in and cold stares abound. Stephanie asks what the hell is doing there and why Hope is there too. Shane explains he called them as this news concerns them. Shane adds that he knows there is tension but they will all have to put differences aside right now so they can deal with bigger issues. Jack then walks in. Shane tells him about the situation and why he was called. Jack is shocked to see Carly. Bo fills him in on why Carly is back and about her troubles. Shane asks about Billie, thinking she may be of some help with her ISA experience. Jack says he has been calling her but gets no answer. She may be working on a case or just sleeping or something. She's been through alot lately. Kayla points out they all have. The scene then fades to...


    CHEATIN HEART

    Billie, who is downing shots at the bar, asking for another. The bartender says she is nearing the cutoff point. Billie doesn't answer and is disheveled and out of sorts. She simply raises her shot glass and downs the contents as the scene shifts back to...

    Forrest thinks Abby and Max should be there too since they know Abby is in immediate danger. Shane and Miranda agree, as does Jack, who says he will try calling her right now.

    Hope walks over to Bo and Carly and says:

    Hope: Well, I get to finally meet the woman that held my husband's heart for a time. Carly Manning. It's a pleasure to finally come face to face with the myth herself.
    Carly: Same here. Bo always talked so much about you during our time together.

    Both woman shake hands.

    Bo: Hope, like Shane said, don't push it. This is about Lawrence and the threat he poses to his enemies and the rest of us. Don't try to use this to try to soften me up somehow.
    Hope: I know, Bo. So, Carly, we should get together some time and get to know each other. Just because you and Bo had a past doesn't mean...
    Carly: I'm not sure that's a good idea.
    Hope: Why not?
    Bo: Hope, just back off.
    Hope: Carly, I know it's a bit awkward but, honestly, I would like to get to know you. Just tell me what hotel I can find you at...
    Carly: I'm not in a hotel and...I don't mean to be rude but can we just drop this?
    Hope: Not in a...ah, I see. Staying at the mansion with Bo, huh?
    Bo: That's none of your business. Excuse us.

    Bo drags Carly off as Steve approaches Hope, asking if she is ok. Hope admits she finds it funny how Carly has been on the run for months, according to Carly, and she just happens to turn up when she and Bo are having problems. Steve didn't think Carly was a woman that would result to schemes to get a man. Hope points out she may have changed too or maybe the hell Lawrence has put her through has made her want Bo even more...and made her more desperate to get him. A unnerved Hope looks over at Bo and Carly talking as the scene shifts to...


    ORPHEUS SECRET PALATIAL HOME(on the outskirts of Salem)

    Nicole and Joey have returned after going to get his video games and other items he wanted. Joey is happy to have some more clothes and games at his disposal. Nicole wonders why his apartment was so ransacked. Joey doesn't want to talk about it, piquing Nicole's interest as she wonders if he is hiding something. Joey is hooking up his PS3 and reminds Nicole she has something to prove to him. Joey then pulls out a dance mat and says he has a dance game that is like Dance Dance Revolution. He challenges her to a dance off. Nicole can't believe he seriously wants her to do this. Joey nods and smiles, saying she is the one that claimed she knew how to have fun when he doubted her. Nicole looks at him, rolling her eyes. She then gives in and tells her to explain the game.

    The scene then fades into a montage of Nicole and Joey playing the game and dancing. Nicole is trying to keep up with the steps as Joey is keeping up rather well. We see them go through several songs and rounds as Nicole gets better and better and seems to be enjoying herself more and more. Joey is having a good time too. The montage ends as they stop. Nicole is out of breath and actually laughing. Joey says she was right. She does know how to have fun and really started getting good. She even beat him twice at the end. Nicole says she told him she knew how to have fun. Joey says it looks like she does and that she just needed to remember how. Nicole looks at him and, after a few moments, says he is right. She had forgotten as so much had happened in her life. Nothing felt fun anymore. She hadn't really enjoyed anything, until now.

    Joey asks if she wants to play again. Nicole thinks for a minute and says what the hell and asks what other games he has, saying they should check those out too. She's not going anywhere. Joey smiles and suggests they have another dance round first, pointing out that this time it counts. Nicole laughs and says he's on as they both get into position and begin playing as the scene shifts back to...


    BRADY PUB

    Steve approaches Kayla and tells her he had no idea who was going to be there and apologizes, saying he didn't know she had been released and doesn't want to upset her. Kayla says it's alright but tells Steve to just leave her alone. She knows she will have to deal with him, whether she wants to or not, and that they will have to talk about things at some point. She just can't do it right now. Stephanie comes over and tells Steve to just leave her mother alone. Steve puts his head down and walks off as an enraged Stephanie and upset Kayla look on.

    As Bo and Carly fill Abe, who just arrived, in on what is going on, Jack has just tried calling Abby and Max and tells Shane, Forrest, and Miranda he has no answer and thinks both their phones are off. Forrest thinks it's imperative they warn them and take action. They may even have to put Abby in a safe house since they know Lawrence was targeting her a few months ago. Miranda adds that Lawrence could be nearby and Abby is in real danger so they need to find her. Jack agrees and, as he tries again, the scene shifts back to...


    SALEM TOWERS RESTAURANT

    Abby and Max are still dancing. Abby tells Max she is glad they turned their cell phones off. They don't need any interruptions. She tells Max the night is still young and that they can still just focus on each other and enjoying themselves, forgetting everything else. Max tells Abby they need to deal with reality eventually. Abby says she knows but not tonight. They both need tonight and she hopes their loved ones do something similar too. They all need to start healing. Abby adds they will deal with reality and all their troubles...together. She promises him she isn't going anywhere. Max says he is happy to hear that because he can't lose her right now. Abby assures Max he won't lose her. She isn't going anywhere. As they continue to dance and hold each other close, a mysterious figure watches from outside the window as the scene fades to black.

    JANUARY 29, 2008-EPISODE #424: CIRCLE THE WAGONS


    CHEATIN HEART

    A man walks up to the bar and tries to get the bartender to give Billie another drink but he refuses. Billie tells the bartender that he doesn’t know who he’s pissing off and the man agrees with her. The bartender won’t budge. The man says he can have her drinks put on his tab and the bartender still says no. So, Billie picks up her last drink......and tosses it in his face. The bartender can’t believe it but Billie tells him that since she is a DiMera, he better not do anything stupid. The bartender thinks for a moment, gets a towel, wipes his face, and walks off.

    The man tries to get close to Billie but she pushes him away. Another patron sees this and goes over to get the man off Billie. As the second guy pushes the first guy, the first man comes back with a roundhouse right. Billie ducks out of the way and, as a bar room fight breaks out, she ducks out the back door and staggers down the street........drunk.

    Twenty minutes later, she ends up on the pier, sitting on a bench. She can’t believe how bad her life has become and wonders how people will ever except her. She silently looks toward the heavens.....

    And then once again breaks down, crying.


    BRADY PUB

    Caroline has closed it down for the rest of the day and evening. Victor thanks her, wondering why everyone was having that type of meeting with the restaurant open. Bo asks Carly how bad off is Lawrence and she says it’s about as bad as when he caused that earthquake on his island and left everyone for dead. Bo starts to wonder if Roman being in jail has something to do with this. Victor thinks it might. Steve asks Carly, point blank, if Lawrence was behind his disappearance like they all suspected and heard all those years ago and she honestly can’t answer that.

    Forrest tells everyone to calm down. They are throwing too much at her at once. Carly smiles and thanks him. He takes her hand and says...

    Forrest: No problem, my dear.

    Bo is suddenly jealous at this exchange and Hope also watches intently. As Bo walks away, Shane tells everyone that he is coordinating with I.S.A. Commanders in Europe and Asia but finding Lawrence is proving very tricky. Forrest says that his brother has always been like that, even when they were kids. Belle wonders if everyone will have to have armed bodyguards around the clock and Sami comes in from the back, saying that it seems like some sort of vendetta on Lawrence’s part.

    When everyone in the Pub turns and looks at her sternly, Sami doubles back and, after a few moments, promises.....

    Sami:Ok.........I will never utter the word “Vendetta” again, ok?

    Everyone slowly turns back toward Shane and Carrie asks if Roman can be released before Lawrence is found. Jack says that may be their best bet. After all, Roman spent a lot of years as Lawrence’s brother/cousin. Miranda says they are working on that but, for right now, everyone needs to keep their eyes open. Shane agrees, saying that this may involve all the five families. Stephanie asks which five families and Shane says the Alamains, Bradys, Kiriakises, DiMeras........to which everyone gasps......and the Hortons. Mike walks in at that moment and asks......

    Mike: What does my family have to do with any of this?

    Everyone looks around as Mike stares at Shane and Miranda.


    DIMERA PENTHOUSE

    In the stateroom at the penthouse, Stefano watches the evening news. Lincoln walks in and sits down, with Stefano asking if the families are still meeting at the Brady Pub. He says they are. Stefano is worried. With his son’s..........death, as it were.........Roman Brady is about to be neutralized. He hopes he doesn’t have to take on all the other families for the secret that is still buried deep. Lincoln knows that he will help in any way possible and Stefano pats him on the shoulder, thanking him for that.

    Just then, the servant tells Stefano he has a guest. When Stefano says to show the person in.........Hawk walks in and both Stefano and Lincoln do a double take. Stefano walks over and shakes Hawk’s hand and tells him......

    Stefano: I would say it was a pleasure to see you.....
    Hawk: I know......it would be just as big a lie as if I would have said it to you.

    Both men smile and Stefano asks.....

    Stefano: So......what brings you here, my old friend?
    Hawk: Oh, just a warning.......stay away from those people. Especially a very special lady you and I both know.
    Stefano: (Laughing) Now......do you think I take orders from you? My, my, my.....
    Hawk: Not an order.......just a warning.
    Lincoln: You better leave while you still can, old man.
    Hawk: Stay out of this, boy.
    Lincoln: I’ll jump in at anytime I want to......
    Hawk: Well then.....if you’re feeling froggish, leep then.......

    Stefano has to get in between both men and remind them not to brawl in his home. Both men stare at each other and Hawk reminds Stefano......

    Hawk: Remember what I said, old man. And, as for you, (Looking at Lincoln) I’ll see you around.
    Lincoln: You can bet on that.

    Hawk walks out as Lincoln asks if Stefano wants him to take care of Hawk. Stefano tells him that Hawk is truly one man you do NOT want to do battle with. Another man walks in and agrees with Stefano, saying......

    Wendell: You better listen to him, Lincoln. No time for flying off the handle.

    Stefano greets Wendell (Wayne Northrup) as the two men shake hands and Stefano asks......

    Stefano: Well........is everything moving according to our plans?
    Wendell: Of course. My boss and I are in close contact. We should have acquisition soon.
    Stefano: Excellent. The first phase is about to be launched. Gentlemen, we will only have one chance at this.......and no one can stop us.


    BRADY PUB

    Caroline pulls both Hope and Steve to the side and says that she knows what it’s like to make the mistake that they made. She is hurt for her son.....but still loves them both very much. They both appreciate that. Kimberly then comes up and says she feels the same but it will take her a little longer to get past what they did. They both understand that as Bo and Kayla look on. The scene then suddenly fades to....


    SALEM TOWERS RESTAURANT

    Abby and Max are still enjoying their night together and are about to pay the bill. Abby turns her phone on, saying she should check her messages. One is an urgent message form Jack telling her and Max to come to the Pub. Max wonders what’s up and she doesn’t know. Max pays the bill and both he and Abby leave the restaurant.......

    And neither one notices the car sitting behind Max’s as they get in and drive away. And, back at the Pub.....


    BRADY PUB

    Someone stands in the darkness, watching members of the five families converse inside. It is a woman and she pulls out a cell phone. She makes a call and informs the person who answers.....

    Woman: Well........you were right again. They are all meeting. Shane Donovan must have said something. I know. I’ll be careful.....as always, my love. Good night.

    As the woman hangs up, the scene shows the inside of the Pub from the woman’s vantage point........

    And then slowly fades to black.

    Show starts out with Maggie, Caroline, Doug,, Julie, Hope, Bo, Jen, Frankie, Abby, Max, Bonnie, Roman and most of the others huddled around the bar reacting to Celeste’s vision and to fears that there loved ones were hurt. The Hortons are worried about Mickey, the Brady’s are worried about Shawn Sr., Lexie is privately worried about Tek and hasn’t told anyone yet about talking to him and his phone going dead, and Sami and Lucas are worried about Will who is out with friends.-
    -Maggie expresses to Alice, Hope, Bo, Jen, Frankie, and the others how worried she is about Mickey. Caroline says she feels the same way about Shawn Sr. The phone went dead and that loud bang gave her chills. Bo and Roman decide they need to go out and see what is going on. Hope wants to go to. Bonnie rolls her eyes but Romans tells her to stay put and that he will be back to get her. Bonnie doesn’t want to stay since no one there likes her and she is trying to show everyone that she has turned over a new leaf. She begs to go with Roman. He agrees. Lexie offers to go too (secretly thinking of Tek and recalling the loud crash and the phone going dead) since she is a doctor. Abe offers to go but Lexie insists he stay since he is blind and can’t help much (not knowing his sight is almost 100%). As Abe is about to tell her he can see, Lexie takes off with Roman, Bonnie, Hope, and Bo. Before leaving Hope recommends that everyone go home since the storm has let up for now and is supposed to pick up later. Doug and Julie decide to take Alice home and Jen, Frankie, Max, and Abby all agree to go with them to the Horton house to wait for news. They ask Maggie and Caroline to come too but Maggie says she needs to clean up and Caroline says she needs to help since it was there party so both insist they stay. They need to keep there mind off worrying. The others leave and say they will call if they hear anything as Maggie and Caroline say the same and hug each other and hope things are ok.

    -Lucas and Sami are both trying to reach Will. Neither is successful. They are both worried. Lucas reassures her everything is fine and comforts her. Austin jumps in and does the same which unnerves Lucas and Nicole. Carrie is off in the distance and recalls getting the call from Becky and learning about Austin being the one taking over her company. We then see a flashback to right after the phone call and Austin asking her if something is wrong (as Sami, Lucas, and Nicole look on with glee). Celeste’s scream and all the worry about Mickey, Shawn, Will, etc prevented her from confronting him. When they finally had time to talk, we hear Carrie tell Austin they need to talk but not now since she is worried about her nephew, grandpa, and Mickey. He agrees and they decide to talk once things calm down all. Flashback ends. Carrie has tears streaming down as Lucas comes over and aks her what is wrong. She says that now is not the time to discuss it with everything going on. He agrees to let it go. Austin then comes over which angers Lucas again and he lashes out at Austin for always trying to steal his thunder. Austin doesn’t know what he is talking about as Lucas calls him on comforting Sami one minute and then coming over to talk to Carrie while he was trying to do both things but got interrupted by him. Carrie breaks up the fight and thinks its time that they go home. Sami jumps in and says that she can’t she needs to look for Will. Austin and Carrie agree to help her as Austin asks her if she is ok. She says she is fine and Austin brings up the fact that she has been keeping her distance from him and only talked to him when she asked him to talk once things were calmer. She again says she is fine and says she wants to help find Will. Sami thanks Carrie as Carrie says they will both put their difference aside to find Will (as she privately puts what she knows about Austin aside to find Will as well). Lucas is left alone with Nicole who mentions that it looks like they are both outsiders as usual. Lucas has a depressed look on his face and decides that he will look for Will on his own and leaves as Nicole decides to go home and make her own drinks to celebrate the eventual breakup of Carrie and Austin and the future of Austin’s company and, possibly, her own future with Austin.

    -Abe tells Celeste he wants to go with Lexie and the others. Celeste disagrees since he only recently got his sight back. She also remembers her vision of disaster having something to do with Lexie and thinks maybe something may happen with Lexie and Tek. She tells Abe to stay put but Abe wants to go. Maggie and Caroline see this and decide they can’t wait any longer and tell Abe they want to go with him. Both women acknowledge their happiness with Abe having his sight back and ask if they can go with him since he can help them find out what may be going on since he is still commander technically. He agrees to let them come as Celeste says she will go to as she continues to have the vision of screaming people and fire and loud crashes. She decides to keep them again to herself recalling the panic that ensued at midnight when she screamed. The four are later in Celeste’s car and hear about a massive pileup at one of Salem’s busiest intersections during the height of the storm. Maggie looks at Caroline in horror as she realizes that Mickey and Shawn Sr had to go that way to return to Chez Rouge. Abe calms them and says that they will go to the accident scene and check it out first to see. Even if anyone they know was involved, it doesn’t mean they were hurt. They may just be backed up in traffic. Maggie and Caroline remember the crash they heard on the phone at midnight and Celeste’s vision and fear the worst as Abe looks at Celeste who looks at him, both knowing that the chances are high that Mickey and Shawn Sr may have been affected.

    -Jack and Greta return to their hideaway or what Jack calls their “lair.” Greta is still upset about the plan and she wants to tell Jen right away and can’t believe Jack dragged her off. Jack insists that Jen has a lot on her mind and reminds Greta of Celeste screaming at midnight and all the worry about Mickey and Shawn Sr. He says Jen is worried about her uncle and doesn’t need stress. He also says that she is getting closer to Frankie now and that his plan is working. He thanks great for everything she has done and for saving his life even though he is going to die anyway. Now he can at least make sure his plan works and that his family is set for life without him. He says that is all thanks to Greta. We then see a flashback of Jack drowning in his car. Then a man in scuba gear knocks on the window and helps Jack out of the car. He shares his air tank with him and gets him up to the surface and to shore. Once at shore, Jack looks up to see Greta who thanks the man for helping her. She says she had just cam back to Salem to visit John and the Hortons and to see him and his family. She heard he was dying and wanted to come and say goodbye and tell him that she forgave him. On her way to the Horton’s, she noticed what looked like a car floating in the water before she went up the bridge. She got out and went to one of the houses near the river and asks a man for help. He luckily had a scuba suit and she paid him to help her since it as dangerous. She knew it would take the authorities a long time to come and the car was already sinking so she knew it was her best chance to save someone. She was gonna call the authorities once the person or persons was saved or recovered. She didn’t realize it was Jack until the man was close to shore with Jack and she saw his face. We then see Jack fill her in on everything that has happened and his plan for Jen. He talks about his suicide attempts and then realizes that now he can fake his death and put his plan into action. He doesn’t need to kill himself. He can now spare his family pain. He begs Greta to help him and to pay off the man who rescued him to stay quiet. She is reluctant but Jack gets emotional and explains his reasons again and Greta being the good person she is agrees and pays the man off. Flashback ends. Jack also thanks her for renting this cabin in her name so they can stay close by in hiding to make sure everything he planned is working. Greta is still upset and reminds Jack that she has money and knows many big people in the medical field. He can still be cured but he will never know if he doesn’t try. Jack says its too late and that nothing can cure him. Greta insists that Jack tell Jen and together the three of them can find a cure. Jack refuses and reminds Greta of why he is doing this. Greta expresses how much she admires him but says that Jen, Abby, and JJ would want to be with him his last days. Jack still refuses. Greta then offers to make him a deal. She won’t tell Jen a thing if he leaves Salem with her and works with her to find a cure. His secret will be safe and him and her can travel the world to find a cure. He will just have to disguise himself. Jack thinks and then asks about her being a princess and her obligations. Greta says to not worry. She is getting sick of it and only still does it to help people. Besides, they can’t boss her around so she has all the time she needs to do what she wants. Jack thinks again as Greta begs him. He agrees as Greta makes the call to warm up her private plane. Jack then thinks to himself that maybe he can find a cure and that its worth a shot. If there is one, he hopes he finds it before its too late for him and for him to be with Jen. If not, then he will just have to be in isolation for good and let Jen be happy with Frankie. Greta says its all set and then goes to pack as Jack does the same. They decide to leave in the morning.

    -At the accident scene, we see cars all over with helicopters overhead and sirens heard all over. Ambulances are arriving at the scene as John is running frantically around helping victims. John helps an elderly women out of her car. He is thinking about Marlena and believes that during the chaos Alex drove off with her since he doesn’t see the car he stole. He just couldn’t drive away to give chase and leave all these people so he had to stay and help. Marlena wouldn’t want him to leave all these people behind for her and he is has experience from his past in dealing with situations like this. Just then, John sees something shocking out of the corner of his eye. It’s the car Marlena was in with Alex. John races over there(finally recalling seeing Alex’s car hit the pole) and sees that the pole has fallen on the car. Both Alex and Marlena are unconscious. John moves the pole over to get to Marlena’s door. She has a gash on her head and isn’t breathing. He also can’t get her leg out without her help We then go inside Marlena’s mind as she is walking in the dark wondering where she is. Then we see memory flashes of her early days in Salem, her relationship and marriage to Don Craig, DJ’s death, her sister’s Samantha’s murder, her relationship and marriage to Roman (we don’t see Wayne in these just reactions from Deidre in them since Wayne is Alex), and the birth of Sami and Eric. We also see Marlena with Hope at her wedding to Bo, hugging Alice and Caroline, and spending time with Carrie. Memory flashes end. Marlena is hearing John’s voice asking her to wake up and to breath saying they all need her and love her. Marlena then wakes up. As she wakes up, she says, “It’s all coming back to me.” John thinks her memory has returned. Just then, John smells gas and sees that there is a gas leak. He shakes Marlena urging her to help him. Marlena, still out of it a little, asks what is going on. John tells her and she begs John to save her. He says he needs her help and needs her to pull herself up as he lifts the pole up. She agrees and does what he says. He then grabs her and pulls her out but falls backwards with her in the process. They recover and Marlena thanks him for saving her. He says he loves her and that he will always save her. As they get up, we see that John cut his leg badly when he pulled Marlena out. She doesn’t notice as he covers it up. As he carries her up the hill due to her head injury, Alex’s car explodes causing everyone to scream. John and Marlena assume Alex is dead and that the nightmare is over. Marlena is take to an ambulance where she tells John what happened and that all her memories returned but nothing about John. John says its ok and that in time they will. With Alex gone, they have all the time in the world. The EMT says that Marlena has a concussion but its not serious. Both are happy and Marlena insists that John and her help out with the victims. John disagrees saying Marlena has been through enough. Marlena insists saying she needs to forget everything that has happened with Alex and tonight. She also doesn’t want to leave him and thinks the more she is with him, the more likely her memories of him will return. John gives up and lets her stay as they go to work on the victims. They are stunned when they check out a car that drove into a building and can’t believe who they find.

    -As Bo, Hope, Bonnie, Roman, and Lexie arrive at the scene they meet with John and Marlena and discuss everything that happened. John and Marlena say that they have not seen Mickey or Shawn Sr but they have seen someone else they know. Lexie, recalling Tek, asks who. John says Tek as Lexie then asks where he is so she can care for him. John says she can’t-he is dead. Lexie refuses to believe it and asks where he is. John points to a body bag near an ambulance and tells Lexie that his car was sent flying into a building on impact from the car that started everything. Lexie races over to him and opens the bag crying. She yells out a bloodcurdling “NO!!!” and laments the way she treated him. Abe, Celeste, Maggie, and Caroline arrive and check in with the others. Abe hears Lexie scream and goes to her with Celeste. Lexie then recalls all the times she had with Tek and everything that happened. She then tells Tek that she did love him and care for him and that her life won’t be the same. As she turns around, she notices Abe and Celeste behind her with Abe having a shocked and betrayed look on his face.

    -Chelsea’s car is in a ravine. Patrick and her are unconscious. Chelsea stirs just as the car bursts into flames. She begs Patrick to wake up. A mystery man, who was in the wooded area watching, races over to Patrick’s door. Chelsea asks who he is. The figure doesn’t respond. He gets the door open and drags Patrick out. Chelsea begs him to help her but the man doesn’t respond and drags Patrick into the woods. Chelsea screams for help as she is trapped in her car and can’t seem to move her legs. She says she is sorry and that she will repent, The flames spread and grow closer to her.

    -Sami, Carrie, and Austin are looking for Will. They have checked everywhere and can’t seem to find him. Lucas meets up with them and is there just in time to catch Austin comforting Sami with a hug, something that Carrie witnesses as well. Meanwhile, Will (now played by Jeremy Sumpter) is with some friends in the woods. The kids are drinking beer and are high. They are trying to push Will to do it but he refuses. The kids rag on him so he gets mad and runs off. As he is walking through the woods, he sees a car in flames. He runs over and asks if anyone is in there. He then looks down in front of him to his right and sees a badly burned body. He runs over and is disgusted at what he sees. The person is screaming in pain as Will asks the person who they are. The person, recognizing Will’s voice, screams painfully “Will, its me...its Chelsea!!!” Will looks stunned as Chelsea continues to scream in pain.

    -John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Roman, Bonnie, Maggie, and Caroline are all together. They are checking with EMT’s and other personal to see if Mickey and Shawn Sr, were involved. Maggie goes off in another direction and sees a car on the side of the road. She hears that the car was hit by the car driven by the person who kidnaped Marlena Evans and that the same pole that hit that car landed on this car. The others catch up with her as Marlena says to John that its her fault that the people in that car are hurt or worse because Alex wanted her and she bought into everything he said. Had she not they may not have been involved with what happened and no one else, including those in that car, may not have gotten affected. John reassures her that the real fault lies with the car that started this mess and that Alex is only responsible for his part. Everyone looks on as Caroline says how much the car looks like Shawn’s. The door is then sawed open ad taken off by the fire department and when the door is taken away Maggie gets closer and sees Shawn Sr’s and Mickey’s bloody faces inside. She lets out a horrifying scream as everyone else comes over and screams “No!!!” Maggie and Caroline both scream alone as Bo and Hope and John and Marlena hold each other. Bonnie then grabs hold of Roman to comfort him as we then see Maggie and Caroline being held back my EMT workers and officers as the screen mixes those images of Maggie and Caroline with Mickey and Shawn Sr. In the car bleeding and then the screen freezes on that and fades to black.

    Tomorrow-Abe lashes out at Lexie, as does Celeste. A family gets bad news. John collapses. Will works to save Chelsea. A huge secret concerning Victor and Caroline is revealed.

    JANUARY 3, 2008-EPISODE #407: CHAOS THEORY PART II


    DIMERA PENTHOUSE

    Stefano has returned and walks into the living room. He pours himself a brandy and sits down by his chessboard as Lincoln walks in and asks how everything went. Stefano smiles, saying it went splendidly. Lincoln mentions that Cassie asked about him and why he disappeared after midnight. Stefano smiles, saying it's lovely that she worries about him.

    Cassie then walks into the room. Stefano is shocked she is still up and apologizes for leaving after they rang in the new year together. He had business. As Lincoln leaves them alone, Cassie asks if it had anything to do with Roman Brady being arrested. Stefano thinks Cassie has gotten to know him too well. Cassie asks why he would care so much about Roman going down for Orpheus' death since he hated him, unless it's just a way of exploiting the situation to put an enemy in jail.

    Stefano turns around and says that is exactly it. He then pours Cassie some brandy and says he would like to propose a toast. Cassie nods. They both raise their glasses as Stefano says:

    Stefano: To the new year. May it be prosperous and one of great success for the Dimera's.

    Stefano and Cassie clash glasses and begin to drink their brandy as the scene shifts to...


    SALEM POLICE STATION

    Marlena is in Abe's office, asking if there is anything they can do for Roman. Abe says they just need to wait until he is arraigned in the morning. Marlena looks through the window at Roman being booked and processed and says this isn't right. His family needs him right now. She asks if there is any news from the hospital yet. Abe shakes his head, saying not since Celeste called him. They then hear Sami arguing with someone and race out into the lobby.

    Abe and Marlena find Carrie and Belle trying to keep Sami from standing up and attacking Patricia, who is standing next to a handcuffed Lucas and an officer. Marlena asks what happened. Patricia fills her in on Joelle's rape and brutal attack and how she accused Lucas of it all. Patricia warns Abe not to show any bias on this or she will make sure the department undergoes a clean sweep. Marlena tells Patricia that her witch hunt against the Brady's and Horton's must stop. Sami asks if she gets some sick pleasure out of it. Patricia smiles and says:

    Patricia: Many of your loved ones have gotten away with enough already. I will be damned if that appalling trend continues. Not on my watch. My career and justice are at stake here. It's about time someone stop the corruption in this department.

    Patricia then orders the officer to take Lucas to booking and processing while Abe follows as Marlena, Belle, and Carrie comfort Sami. The scene then shifts to...


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Nurses and doctors race feverishly around the ER between 3 cubicles. Rich races into Greta's and asks a nurse if the X-rays he requested are back. Meanwhile, Mike and a team of nurses and doctors work on Frankie. A frustrated Mike yells out they are losing him and says he can't stop the bleeding as monitors and alarms go off. Mike sees Lexie in the waiting area and motions to her to come over. Lexie races in and Mike asks when her first day on call is. Lexie tells him it's later tonight. Mike says she is starting early and tells her to scrub in.

    In the waiting area, family and friends await news. Lexie races out and announces it looks like she is going back to work early. She tells Celeste to head to the house and take care of Theo so the babysitter can head home. Celeste tells Lexie that the pain and suffering is far from over. Lexie tells Celeste to just go as it's not best for anyone to hear that right now. She will call her when she has a chance. Celeste nods in agreement and takes off.

    Caroline asks Lexie how Frankie is doing. Lexie says she will let her know when she can and races back into the ER. A frustrated Caroline wishes they knew something. Bo comforts her, saying it's all going to be ok. Caroline admits she thought things were finally turning for their family but now with Frankie and Kayla in the hospital and Roman being arrested, she isn't so sure. Caroline admits she doesn't know how much she can take.

    Meanwhile, Jack is with Victor and Maggie waiting for news on Greta when his cell rings. Jack realizes he forgot to turn if off and races outside to answer it. It's Kate, who asks if Billie is with him. She isn't answering her phone and seemed upset earlier. Jack says he thought she stayed back with her to talk once they all headed for the hospital. Kate says she is really worried and Jack wishes he could go look for her but doesn't want to leave with Greta and Frankie like this. Kate says she will look and call Lucas and Philip for help. She tells him she will call and check in later. Jack thanks her.

    Laura, Doug, and Julie think Alice should head home but she says they need to stay to support the Brady's and says Greta has always been a close friend of hers, like a daughter. She wants to stay. Doug says they know better then to argue. Tony says they feel the same way and want to support the Brady's. As Anna stands next to him, Tony asks where Bill went. Laura says he was helping with Kayla as the doctors needed a hand and is now up with Kayla, Steve, and Stephanie as tests need to be done. as the doctors needed a hand. The scene then shifts back to...


    SALEM POLICE STATION

    Carrie and Belle think Sami needs to go back to the hospital. Marlena thinks it's that is a great idea. Sami says not until she sees Lucas, at least. Will arrives and asks what happened, saying he heard on the news about dad. Sami fills him in on everything that is happening with Lucas, Roman, and his uncle Frankie and aunt Kayla. Will can't believe it. Lucas is then dragged in on his way to his cell as Will rushes into his arms. Lucas walks over to Sami and says he will be ok and tells Will it will all work out in the end. All three embrace as the officer pulls Lucas away as he tells Sami and Will he loves them. Sami holds Will in her arms as Marlena, Belle, and Carrie look on in sadness as the scene shifts back to...


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Kayla is now in a ICU room as Steve and Stephanie wait outside. Steve asks Stephanie if she is ok. Stephanie doesn't answer. Steve notes that she has said nothing to him at all since the reception. Stephanie looks at him coldly, saying:

    Stephanie: Mom said we would talk about it later but I know already what I need to. This is all your fault. You and aunt Hope? This all happened because of you.
    Steve: Baby, I...

    Bill comes out of the room to talk to Steve and Stephanie, interrupting their talk. Steve asks what is going on. Bill says that the OB GYN is still in with Kayla and that things are precarious based on a high level of stress and upset, especially with Kayla's age as a factor. Stephanie stares daggers at Steve. Billi tells them the OB GYN can explain in more detail but he can tell them that Kayla and the baby are both at risk as the baby is nearly in distress and there is a possibility that one or both of them may not get through this. Bill stresses further tests are needed yet and thinks they shouldn't panic but they need to be aware.

    Steve is in shock and can't believe what is happening. Stephanie begins to cry. Steve looks in on Kayla in her room, unconscious with the OB GYN and a two nurses with her. Bill tells him that Kayla has been sedated to help her relax and get some rest. Stephanie breaks down and yells out that this is all Steve's fault and that her mother and baby brother or sister's blood is on his and aunt Hope's hands if they die.

    Stephanie then orders Steve not to see Kayla and to go away. Steve tells Stephanie he is sorry but all she can do is to lash out again and order him away from Kayla and from her. Bill tells a heartbroken Steve to just abide by Stephanie's wishes, as hard as it is, just for now. Steve nods and says he loves her and tells her to tell her little bro or sis that too and her mother. Steve walks off as Stephanie turns away in disgust and cries while Bill watches. Meanwhile, Steve enters the stairwell, fighting back years, and looks around aimlessly before taking out his cell and making a call to someone, telling them he needs them to come to the hospital right now as the scene fades to...

    Caroline, who asks Bo why they aren't hearing anything. Bo comforts her as she asks how it happened. Max, who is being comforted by Abby, wants to know too. Caroline asks if it was the footage of Steve and Hope making love. Bo looks at Hope, who has tears welling in her eyes. Caroline looks over at Hope and asks if all this is because of that. Bo tells Caroline and everyone else it's not the time and place right now to discuss this, especially a private matter. Kayla and her unborn baby, Frankie, and Greta are all that is important. Caroline hopes Roman is ok too.

    Mike and Lexie then emerge with Rich close behind. Mike says he is sorry it took so long. He wanted to consult with Rich on Frankie's situation. Rich announces Greta will be fine but she re-injured some of the injuries she had from her hit and run. They have given her meds for the pain and she is sedated right now. Victor, Maggie, Jack, and everyone else are overjoyed. Mike says that Frankie saved Greta by breaking her fall and tells his loved ones:

    Mike: He suffered a massive blow. There are spinal injuries and considerable swelling to that area. He ruptured his spleen and damaged his liver and kidneys. We stabilized him and stopped the bleeding but there is still internal hemorrhaging. There is also massive head trauma and bleeding around the brain. He needs surgery ASAP and we don't even know how effective that will be.

    Caroline is devastated as everyone else looks on in horror and sadness. Victor whispers to Maggie that Frankie saved his daughter's life and Caroline may lose her son. Maggie comforts him. Mike tells Caroline she needs to sign the consent forms. Bo comforts her and says she needs to sign to help Frankie. Bo helps Caroline, who is shaking, as she signs. Mike says they will begin to prep him and leaves, asking Lexie if she would like to scrub in to begin her surgery rotation. Lexie says she would and adds she would like to be in there to help.

    As everyone reacts to this heartbreaking news, Bo comforts Caroline and Max is comforted by Abby. Hope tries to reach out to Bo and puts her arm on his shoulder but he yanks himself away and coldly stares at her. Hope puts her head down in shame and walks off. Meanwhile, Jack goes outside and calls Kate, who says she tried calling Lucas and Philip to help but got no answer. She tells him she has yet to find Billie. Jack says he will start looking to and admits he is worried also given the last time he saw her. The scene then shifts to...


    CHEATIN HEART

    Billie walks up outside, looking like an emotional wreck and her hands trembling. She looks insider the bar and hesitates for a moment and then goes in. She looks at the bar and is happy to see her bartender friend who knows about her past history not on tonight. She walks over to the bar and is asked what she would like.

    Billie: A...vodka tonic...wait, maybe...yeah. A vodka tonic.

    Billie then sits down at the bar and thinks, with tears welling in her eyes as she tries to fight them. She recalls learning that Orpheus is her father and that Chelsea is not her daughter. She then recalls Frankie and Greta falling through the skylight. The bartender puts her drink in front of her and notices her trembling and being upset. He asks if she is ok. Billie looks at the drink, picks it up, hesitates and thinks for a few moments, and says:

    Billie: No. I'm not ok. But...I will be.

    Billie then takes a sip of her drink and puts it down. The bartender smiles and walks off. Billie then looks at her drink, thinking again. She then looks at it with disgust before picking it up, hesitating again for a moment, and then raising it close to her mouth and taking another sip...followed by another..and...

    The scene pans up and shows an overhead shot of Billie at the bar and then fades to black.

    [b]1/30/06 (long episode-I am still playing catchup so the big guest star episodes may not start until Wed so bare with me please-I don't have all that much free time lately)

    -Mimi, Belle, Shawn, and Bonnie all show up at St. Luke’s for the start of the memorial service for Patrick. Billie and Kate show up to mourn Chelsea.

    -Bonnie is still upset that the service is being shared but remembers Kate is paying for it all so she shuts her mouth. Caroline and Maggie show up saying they came for Patrick since he saved many of their lives on the island. Jen, Abby, Max and Frankie show up too as Jen and Abby remind everyone that he meant a lot to them and that they are there for Chelsea too despite everything. That makes Billie smile. Abe, Celeste, John and Marlena show up too as they also are reminded of Patrick saving them on the island. Alice soon arrives too with Doug and Julie, who have also come to show appreciation for Patrick. It becomes clear to Billie and Kate that almost no one is there for Chelsea. Austin, Lucas, Sami, and Carrie show up too. Austin and Lucas came because they had too while Carrie and Sami felt obligated too since Chelsea was somewhat related to them. It becomes clear to Billie and Kate that most people are there because they have to be or for Patrick. Victor shows up too to show his support for Kate and Chelsea was his granddaughter. He also is appreciative to Patrick for helping everyone get off the island. Bo and Hope then show up. Hope is there for Patrick and is shocked when Bo says he is there for Chelsea. They get into another fight as Bo reminds Hope that his daughter is dead and he has to mourn. This sparks a fight between Kate, Billie, and Hope. Hope punches Billie, which leads to Kate knocking Hope over and Hope grabbing hold of Kate’s neck. The fight is broken up. Shawn then interferes and picks a fight with Billie and Kate for always screwing with his family and other people’s lives. Bo breaks that up but Shawn then tears into him for him always choosing Billie and Chelsea over them and for his role in making Chelsea the reckless brat she was. Bonnie breaks down in Roman’s arms over all the turmoil at her son’s funeral. She is now happy she decided not to bring Connor with her-it would’ve been too much for him and all this would have made it worse. Fr. Jansen comes in and orders everyone to calm down. Everyone is then seated for the service.

    -Hope, Jen, Abby, Bonnie, Mimi, Billie and Belle all give eulogies for Patrick. Once the Chelsea part of the service commences, everyone begins to leave except for Bo, Billie, Victor, Kate, Austin, Lucas, Sami, Carrie, Abe, Celeste, Abby, Max, Jen, Alice, Caroline and Frankie. Sami then walks out and Austin and Lucas decide to leave too saying that this really wasn’t much of a funeral. Kate and Billie are devastated that no one stayed for Chelsea’s part of the service. Victor comforts Kate as Bo consoles Billie, which is spied by Hope. Kate, Billie, and Bo then do their eulogies to the remaining congregation.
    -All hell then breaks lose outside when Billie and Kate go into a long rant about how everyone left (everyone is waiting outside and talking). Bo does so too which prompts Hope and several others to remind Bo of what Chelsea did and how the way she was parented up to that point played a role in what happened. Bo is stunned that people like Maggie and his own wife would walk out of the funeral. He is stunned that Roman walked out too but Roman says he just wanted to comfort Bonnie. Caroline and Alice urge everyone to forgive so they can move on but nobody listens. They just walk away leaving those that did stay to notice how divided everything was.

    -Victor comforts Kate as she can’t believe what happened at the service. She blames herself for spoiling Chelsea and blames herself for making things worse due to all her past sins in interfering with her children’s lives. Nobody in Salem likes her so there is no way they would like Chelsea now that she is hurting people just like she did. She is losing it as Victor tries to calm her. She is worried about Phillip too and blames herself for that as well. She says she doesn’t know what to do for her children or herself and really doesn’t even know who she is anymore. Billie, Lucas, and Austin notice her breakdown and go over to her. She looks at all of them and bursts into tears saying how sorry she is and then runs off. Victor says he will go after her and tells them that he will let them know if there is anything they can do.

    -Lucas and Austin apologize to Billie for leaving but Billie is hurt. They admit to Billie that they don’t blame her or Chelsea but the funeral had turned into a mockery. Billie believes they left because the funeral was a joke and they didn’t want bad press since it would be bad for Austin’s company and for Titan. She tells them she understands and is fine. They leave as Billie cries alone for her daughter and for Patrick.

    -Jen, Frankie, Abby, and Max can’t believe what has happened at the funeral. They decide to go home. They console Billie and apologize for how things turned out. She thanks them as they leave. Jen asks Frankie on the way to the car about his investigation of Patrick back in the summer. Frankie asks how she knows that and Jen says that she found outlines on Jack’s laptop about all the evidence and facts he was collecting since he hated him and one of the outline headers was “Frankie Scoop.” He tells Jen that it isn’t the best time to go over what he did find, adding that he didn’t find much. He says he will tell her soon though when he has more to give her. He plans to keep the investigation going to see what else he can get. She agrees to what he says and they leave.

    -Alice chastises Doug and Julie for walking out of the funeral but they can’t help but be angry with Chelsea and Bo, Billie, and Kate. Bo overhears and has a fight with Doug but Alice stops it. Doug and Julie take Alice home but not before having a talk with Maggie who continues to be panicked about her memory flashes. She lies her way out of another interrogation from Alice, Doug, and Julie and then runs off to talk to Lucas. Hope comments on how right her father is as Bo walks away disgusted.

    -Maggie runs into Lucas and they talk about their secrets concerning the night they both fell off the wagon. Meanwhile, Sami and Austin question Carrie about her behavior of late but she tells them both to leave her alone and leaves. Sami sees Lucas and Maggie talking and decides to stay. She tells Austin to go on ahead of her since she wants to mingle. He decides to confront Carrie on his own and tells Sami to wait for him. Sami hides behind bushes and spies and listens in on Lucas and Maggie.

    -Caroline compliments Roman on comforting Bonnie given all that happened today. Bonnie thanks him as Roman says they will both be there for each other. They both smile and embrace each other.
    -Marlena comforts Belle over everything that has happened. They talk about Shawn and her obvious jealousy and she reminds herself that she needs to stay away from Shawn. Marlena supports her and says it’s a good idea. Marlena notices Bonnie keeping an eye on Belle and tells John that she thinks Bonnie is just like Kate and will do anything for her kids. She tells John she knows Bonnie is hounding Belle about staying away from Shawn and says that if Bonnie continues to pressure her daughter she will have to deal with her. As they both talk, someone is spying on them from the bushes.

    -Shawn and Mimi share a close moment and talk about all the tragedy recently and the shortness of life. He remembers his conversation with his mom about marrying Mimi and that combined with all the death lately and how short life is makes him change his mind. He has a baby on the way so him and Mimi should marry before the baby is born or even sooner. It would be good for her and her condition to plan and be involved in something that joyous. He decides to propose to her right away. He tells her he has something to do and asks if she can hitch a ride with her mother. She says she can and he leaves to go get a ring and plan a very special night.

    -Abe and Celeste grow closer as they are affected by all the tragedy that surrounds them and in the turmoil in their own family.

    -Bo finds Billie and apologizes again for what happened. She says the issue is that everyone is right about everything from blaming Chelsea for the New Year’s tragedy to their bad parenting and her mother’s negative involvement. He consoles her and says that everything will get better in time once then initial pain and shock of all this loss goes away. Hope comes up behind them and disagrees and says things will only get worse. She looks at the both of them and says, “Especially if my husband can’t make up his mind which side he is on and who is right and who is wrong. Maybe its time you did that Bo. Don’t you think?” The screen then freezes on a three way split screen of Bo, Billie, and Hope and then fades to black.

    On the next Days...

    Shawn asks Bonnie for Mimi’s hand in marriage. Caroline is stunned by Roman’s venom towards Victor. Kate makes a huge decision. Sami learns some of the truth. Carrie and Austin have a standoff. Bo and Hope’s relationship continues to crumble.

    Kate is using the computer is Lucas's office, trying to find any info she can on Joelle in hopes it can lead to something. Later on, Kate has nothing and realizes she has no idea what she is doing. She decides she could really use Billie's help as she is a P.I. and has ISA training. Kate isn't so sure she will help as Billie seems to be a wreck since learning about Orpheus being her father and everything else that has happened. Kate grabs her coat and purse and decides it's worth a shot. She walks out and locks up the office as the scene shifts to...


    STREETS OF SALEM

    A disheveled Billie walks down the street, drunk and lost in her own thoughts. She keeps playing out the images of the past few months in her head...Jack siding with Elizabeth, Elizabeth's death and Jack blaming her for it, learning Orpheus was her father and that she is a Dimera along with the fact that Kate never told her anything about it, learning Chelsea isn't hers and that her real daughter is likely dead, Frankie's death...it's all just too much. Billie lets out a cry of anguish and clutches her head and falls to the ground. She tells herself she is no good to anyone. She was trash before and now it's even worse...she is a Dimera. All she will end up doing is hurting the people she cares about most. She lifts her head up and sees a liquor store nearby. She is no longer hesitating or resisting the urge. She decides right away the store has what she wants so she gets up and walks quickly down the block, checking her pockets to make sure she has enough money as the scene shifts to...



    BRADY PUB

    Max and Abby arrive. Jack greets them, saying they have been trying to reach them for hours. Abby apologizes, saying they both had their phones off and were trying to just enjoy each other and forget about everything. Abby is shocked to see that Forrest is back and says it's good to see him. Forrest echoes that sentiment but tells Abby they have bad news. Forrest then fills Abby and Max in on the meeting, Lawrence, and the info Carly has given about him. Abby is shocked to see Carly, saying she has heard so much about her. Carly smiles, saying she is sure. Jack tells Abby the danger is real and her and JJ need protection. Shane chimes in, saying he recommends a safehouse. Abby, JJ, and Carly can go since they are the ones in the most immediate danger. Abby says absolutely not to the suggestion outright. Carly seconds that motion.

    Jack, Bo and Shane remind both woman of the danger they are in. Max tells Abby they are right, reminding Abby of how she almost had to marry Forrest as a way of protecting herself. Abby knows that but thinks running is not the answer. Carly agrees, saying Lawrence is smart and no safehouse will stop him. Bo tries to convince Carly to go but she tells Bo she is not going. Bo tells her it's not safe for her. Hope watches and sees the concern in Bo's eyes for Carly. Steve asks if she is alright. Hope nods. Mike then chimes in and tells Abby that her mother would want her protected. Jack agrees, saying JJ needs to be protected too and he will need his big sister with him. Abby says she is not leaving Max right now. He is going through alot and needs her. Max says it's fine and tells her he would feel better knowing she were safe.

    Shane suggests Max go with Abby. Max says he is willing to. Abby tells him his family needs him. Caroline yells out it would be alright. They would know he is taking care of a friend. Max smiles at Caroline, who is standing next to Kim. Max asks Abby if she would go if he went with her. Jack approaches Abby and urges her to do this for her brother too. He needs her and he needs to be protected. After a few moments, Abby agrees, as long as Max comes to. Shane thinks they have a deal. Now all attention turns to Carly as Shane suggests again that Carly go too and even thinks Stephanie and Kayla should go given Steve and Lawrence's past. Steve agrees. Kayla tells him to butt out and says she isn't going anywhere. Stephanie says she isn't going anywhere without her mom.

    Kim points out Kayla is still recovering so it really isn't a good idea. Bo agrees. Shane nods in agreement and says they will put guards on everyone here not going to a safehouse and order extra man power to patrol Salem. Marlena, looking at Sami and Belle and also ate Carrie, thinks that is a good idea as there is no telling who Lawrence will target. Shane then tells Carly she really should go as she is in as much danger, if not more, then Abby. Carly defiantly says she is not going as the scene shifts to...


    ORPHEUS SECRET PALATIAL HOME(on the outskirts of Salem)

    Nicole sits in the dark, watching late night TV. Joey walks in to the room, startling Nicole. She asks him what he is doing up. Joey says he couldn't sleep, pointing out he has had a hard time since that first night where he was so tired he couldn't help but sleep. Joey asks what she is watching. Nicole says nothing really. She just couldn't sleep herself. Joey asks if she is worried. Nicole shakes her head, saying she has learned to deal with whatever is thrown her way by now. Joey tells Nicole he had fun playing video games with her tonight. He tells her how he never thought he would laugh and have fun again after his mother and grandmother died. Nicole admits she knows how that feels and thinks she still hasn't overcome that feeling and probably never will. Joey thinks she did tonight as she was having fun and that was not an act. Nicole says that was only temporary and it was right back into the gutter right after they stopped playing and reality became present again.

    Joey thinks she just needs to loosen up more. Nicole isn't sure she can or that she ever will. Joey asks if it's because there are people after her. Nicole thinks he is a little too nosy and then says it's her turn to ask about him. Joey says there isn't much to tell. She knows everything. Nicole doesn't think that is the case and points out that he acted like he was hiding something earlier when she asked about his apartment being ransacked. Nicole then says she hates to ask this, knowing how hard it is, but how did his mother die? Joey doesn't answer and says he is feeling tired now. He bids her good night. Nicole tells him to wait and apologizes for asking. She can't relate as she hated both her father and mother but she can tell it's hurting him, losing his mother and grandmother. Joey says it's ok and he will see her in the morning.

    Joey goes into one of the bedrooms as Nicole sits back down. She then grabs her purse and digs into it, pulling out a picture of Eric.

    Nicole: So, I guess you brought him into my life but why? I mean, am I supposed to help him deal with losing his mom or something? I'm confused and I have enough problems. This kid needs someone better off then me to help him so if your thinking I can help, then you must be sipping some strong stuff up there, honey.

    Nicole then thinks for a moment and gets up, with the picture in hand, she walks into the bedroom Joey entered and can hear him crying under his breath. Nicole seems unsure of what to do as she can tell he doesn't want her knowing he is crying. She hesitates and looks at him, listening to the faint sound of his cries. After a few moments, her resolve breaks then and she walks into the room, asking Joey if he is ok. Joey says he is fine and doesn't turn around. Nicole says she knows he isn't ok and turns him around to see his tear-stained face, Joey looks at her and breaks down in tears again. Nicole hesitates a bit but then takes him in her arms, dropping her photo of Eric on the ground, embracing Joey warmly as he cries out:

    Joey: Why did she have to leave me? Why?!

    Nicole: I wish I knew, Joey. I wish I knew. Sometimes it just happens. Sometimes we lose people we love and feel it's unfair. But, I guess, there is no way to ever know. We just have to deal with it the best we can.
    Joey: I don't think I can deal with this. Especially not alone!
    Nicole: You can. You will. And you are not alone.
    Joey: I have no family, no friends...
    Nicole: You have me, remember? I'm right here, Joey. I'm not going nowhere.
    Joey: Your not.
    Nicole: No. I'm not.

    Joey hugs her tightly, telling her thank you repeatedly as Nicole lets out a deep breath and looks inquisitively at the picture of Eric laying on the floor as the scene shifts back to...


    BRADY PUB

    The meeting is now over and Victor is on his way out. He tells Bo he will see him at home and to tell Shane he will report anything uncovered to him by his people. Bo thanks Victor, who walks out. Bo turns and sees Hope. Bo says nothing and simply walks back over to Carly. Hope watches Bo and Carly together as Steve walks up, telling Hope not to think anything of it. Hope says it's hard not to as she thinks Bo and her may really be through. Steve thinks the same of him and Kayla. Hope says she just doesn't think they can get back what they lost.

    Caroline tells Kim she is going upstairs to check on Kayla and Stephanie and to lock up the Pub once everyone leaves. Kim agrees. Bo tells Carly he wishes she would reconsider about the safehouse. Carly says she isn't going and no one is going to convince her other. Besides, staying with him and Victor is much safer to her then a safehouse. Shane thinks Carly is making a mistake. Carly says then she will just learn the hard way if that is the case. Bo, Shane, and Miranda look at each other with worry. Jack goes over to Abby and says she is making the right decision. She tells Jack she is doing it for him, JJ, and for Max. She doesn't want them to worry. He thanks her, saying it's the right decision. Forrest comes over and agrees, saying they will move her, JJ, and Max out early in the morning. Meanwhile, outside, a mysterious figure lurks...


    BILLIE'S P.I. OFFICE

    Kate is knocking on the door and there is no answer. It's late and the halls are dark so she decides to just leave and try to think of something else to help Lucas for now. She will just call Billie later. Kate walks off, gets on the elevator, and, as it closes, Billie comes out of the other elevator and heads for her office, clearly off balance. She goes inside, throws her coat off, and immediately opens one of the bottles of liquor she purchased. She sits down and pours and immediately starts drinking, saying:

    Billie: Here's to you, Billie Re...Billie DiMera. Bottoms up...

    The scene then pans upward on an overheard shot of Billie and then fades to black.

    -Everyone is still outside St. Luke’s after the botched funeral for Chelsea and Patrick. Shawn pulls Bonnie aside from talking to Roman to ask for permission to marry Mimi. Bonnie happily gives her permission and decides to go tell Belle. Meanwhile, Shawn makes romantic plans to propose to Mimi. He tells Mimi he has a surprise for her and that she will have a night she never forgets.

    -Bonnie gleefully tells Belle of Shawn’s plans to marry Mimi and be a family with her and their baby. Marlena and John comfort her and Marlena gets in Bonnie’s face about her cruelty towards Belle. She reminds Bonnie of Mimi and Belle being best friends and all Belle did for the Lockhart’s in the past, including Habitat for Humanity. Bonnie is thankful but says that her daughter has Shawn now and Belle made her choice. Mimi should not be punished for Belle giving up on Shawn when he was being held captive by Jan. Belle made her choice and now she has to live with it. Marlena warns Bonnie to back off and not interfere. Their children need to decide for themselves and work everything out. Bonnie says she isn’t interfering but she knows that Belle is using all the tragedy to get close to Shawn even if she won’t admit it and Mimi is in a precarious condition. One upset could possibly cost Mimi her baby and even her life. Marlena lets it go but warns Bonnie again to back off as John walks away and gives Bonnie a dirty look too. Belle thanks them but says that Bonnie is right. She has lost Shawn and he is going to have his own family now and she just needs to deal with that. The three of them leave as someone continues to watch John and Marlena from a distance.

    -Shawn interrupts the fight between Bo, Hope, and Billie to tell his parents of his plan to marry Mimi. They are happy for him. Shawn again has a fight with his father over the Chelsea situation. Hope tells Shawn to back off a bit and to let her deal with everything. If she needs him she will call him. He leaves. Hope and Billie have yet another fight as Bo tells Billie the best thing for her to do right now is leave. She agrees and takes off. Bo and Hope have it out but decide once again to put their problems on the back burner until after the funeral tomorrow for the sake of the family. Bo apologizes to Hope but says that Chelsea is his daughter and he will always defend her just like she would always defend their boys. Hope looks at him threateningly and says to drop it. She knows his feelings already and they will discuss it after the funeral. She shocks him when she says she is staying at Jen’s tonight and not with him at home since she can’t even stand right now to be near him. She goes back to the hospital to be with JT and Zach as a heart broken Bo looks on.

    -Caroline and Roman discuss everything that is happening. They are worried about Bo and Hope and can’t believe how badly the funeral flopped. They knew that people disliked Chelsea but the way everything turned out was disrespectful. Caroline recalls her secret with Victor and worries that something like that will happen tomorrow at the funeral with everyone walking out on her due to her secret. They talk about Roman and Bonnie and Caroline notices that Roman likes her a lot. She has been there for him through everything. Caroline encourages Roman to open up to her about everything rather then keep his emotions in check but he says that he has been through this with her and Bonnie already. He is not gonna cry or breakdown when his family needs him. He is not a wimp. He asks her about Victor coming to the funeral. Caroline says he will probably come because of Claire but he will keep his distance. She is stunned when Roman speaks so venomously about Victor and says if he comes close to her or does anything to disrupt his father’s funeral there will be hell to pay. He doesn’t care that he is Bo’s father or Claire’s great grandfather, he will pay if he does anything like that tomorrow. Bonnie steps in and Roman tells her he needs to get back to the station and they say their goodbyes as both of them leave. Caroline worries that her secret will come out tomarrow and her family will be ripped apart.

    -Carrie and Austin have a standoff over why she has been avoiding him. She almost tells him but then walks away with tears in her eyes and says to leave her alone. Austin is still confused.

    -Victor follows Kate to her hotel suite. She tells Victor she has decided to leave Salem. She has caused too much damage to her children’s lives and she needs to get out of their way for awhile. She confesses she needs to change her ways and says that she really doesn’t know who she is anymore. She has finally realized how bad her actions were and now she doesn’t even know who the real Kate is: concerned mother or mother from hell. Victor tries to convince her to stay given all that is going on with her children but Kate insists they will be better off without her. She goes to pack as Victor makes a few calls.

    -Sami listens to Maggie and Lucas talk about the night they fell off the wagon. She learns that Maggie and Lucas both got drunk and that Maggie was drunk while watching Zach. She learns how depressed, lonely, and left out Lucas felt and realizes that she was paying so much attention to Austin and seeking comfort from Austin that Lucas got shoved aside. Austin almost catches Sami listening but doesn’t. He says he has to go see his mother because she is leaving town. Sami rejoices but stops when Austin gives her his trademark disappointed look. He goes to Lucas too and tells him they need to say goodbye to their mom. Lucas is upset since yet another person in his life is leaving but then thinks about how his mother has done more harm then good and it will be better with her away (he doesn’t want her learning about his secret and making it worse). They leave as Maggie moves to leave too. Sami stops her and tells Maggie she already knows most of what is going on and wants to know the rest. Maggie tries to lie her way out but Sami informs Maggie what she already knows and gives her choice: tell her everything else about her and Lucas or she will tell Bo, Hope, and everyone else that she was drunk while watching Zach. Maggie panics as a confident Sami waits for Maggie to spill her guts.

    -Lucas, Austin, and Billie all show up to say goodbye to Kate. Billie thanks her mother for being with her at the funeral as Kate apologizes for how it turned out. She blames herself for the poor turnout saying that she made Chelsea worse and that a lot of the people at the funeral don’t like her either so that didn’t help matters. Billie says that not only is Kate to blame but her and Bo as well. They all made mistakes but they need to move on now. They can’t take it back. Kate tells her children that they will all find happiness again and that she is sorry for everything and that it took her so long to realize what she really was. The three of them hug Kate and say goodbye as Lucas can’t help but be a little happy that his mom won’t be around to find out what he is hiding. Victor embraces her and says he will update her on everything that happens, especially Phillip. Kate thanks him and then picks up her bags and leaves, leaving Victor and the others in her wake. We see Kate walking down the hall with tears in her eyes saying that this is for the best so that she can’t cause any more damage. She now wonders if her trip will turn into something more permanent. The camera then freezes on her as she gets in the elevator and it closes making the screen fade to black.

    On the next Days...

    Sami and Maggie have it out. Austin demands the truth about Carrie from Lucas. Victor warns Billie of what she is about to face. Carrie and Bo talk about their lives.

    JANUARY 31, 2008-EPISODE #426: SPACED OUT PART II


    STREETS OF SALEM

    As Tony and Anna walk the beautiful, nighttime streets of downtown Salem, they see a man selling roses on a sidewalk. They stop and Tony buys one for his lady love. She smiles as he hands it to her, saying.....

    Tony: I hope this starts to make up for leaving you on that pier all those years ago.

    Anna smiles once again and rests her head on his chest. She then takes his arm and asks what he’s going to do now. Tony says that with the truce on between Victor and Stefano and the violence hopefully at an end, he wants to connect with Cassie. She doesn’t want his father’s influence to taint her in any way. Anna hopes the same for herself. She knows that she can at least be a friend to Carrie, if not a mother. She now thanks Marlena for being there for her for all those years.

    Tony then asks how her business is coming. Anna says fine. Once she gets Designs By A.D. off the ground, she wants Carrie to run it for her. Not as a bribe to get her love back but because she has watched her from a distance, and thinks she has the right stuff to be a top designer and businesswoman. Tony agrees and says he will help in any way he can. But, what worries him now......

    Is what his father may be up to.

    Anna says that they shouldn’t talk about that. For tonight, they need to let love be their guide. Tony smiles and agrees as they walk arm in arm down the sidewalk.


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Victor walks in and kisses Maggie good evening. He fills her in on the latest threat to the family and says that things are about to get dicey once again. Maggie asks whose involved this time and reveals a name she has not heard in years.........Lawrence Alamain. She grows angry, not being able to believe that he has the gall to start trouble again........after what he put Jennifer and the rest of them through.

    He also says that Carly is staying at the mansion and she says she knows. Henderson told her. Maggie says she must be scared to come looking for help.......from him. She hopes he didn’t take that wrong and he smiles, saying he didn’t. He actually agrees with her. He doesn’t know what Lawrence has put her through.......but he will find out.

    She then says that the club is coming along splendidly as he says he knows. He’s talked to his foreman and he told Victor things should be ready soon. She thanks him once again for doing that for her and he says it’s no problem at all as they share a kiss. He then takes her in his arms and says.....

    Victor: My darling, let us go upstairs.........lay across the bed........look lovingly at one another.......and then.......
    Maggie: Yes........
    Victor: Watch the news.
    Maggie: Party pooper.

    Both of them laugh as she dims the lights and, as they walk arm in arm to the stairs, she says......

    Maggie: You’re no fun.
    Victor: You didn’t say that two nights ago.
    Maggie: Oh, stop!

    And, as they ascend the stairs, the scene turns to...........


    STREETS OF SALEM

    Alyson driving down the street, with a crying Sam in the backseat. Her car then starts to sputter and then stops completely as she gets it to the side of the road. As she gets out and tries to flag down a car, after a few minutes, someone stops. And the person who gets out of a very fancy sports car........is Philip. He says what are the chances of them running into each other and she says stuff like this happens in soap operas.

    He says he’ll give her car a look see. She opens the hood and he checks under it. He says he doesn’t know what he’s doing but maybe he can at least get it back up and running. She thanks him for stopping. He says it’s no problem. He then tries, after a few moments, he starts to bring up their night together. When he does.......she doesn’t want to talk about it, reminding him they agreed that was for the best. Philip respects her wishes.

    A few moments later, he says that he can’t do a thing but has called a tow truck.....and will pay for whatever repairs she needs. She thanks him and then says she wishes he was that good with children as Sam continues to cry. Philip says he can give it try. Alyson gets Sam and they all sit in Philip’s car. He takes the little boy and, after a few minutes, Sam not only starts to calm down, but starts to drift off to sleep.

    She is amazed. Philip says he got a lot of practice with Claire. She looks at him holding her sleeping son and the scene fades into.....


    ILLINOIS STATE PENITENTIARY

    Marlena sits with Lucas first, telling him that there might be a new threat to all their families and friends. Lucas then says a lot of help he can do being locked up. She then tells him to be very careful.....and tells him that Kate, Sami and everyone is doing their best to prove him innocent so can be let free. He thanks her and then leaves, saying he knows she wants to talk to Roman.

    Ten minutes later, Roman is led in and she is allowed to take him, with a guard, to a private room for his first session of hypnosis.

    As he lays down, Marlena slowly and very patiently, puts him under. She starts asking him questions about his past and his memories start flowing......

    Bo and him hugging on the pier after Marlena’s first disappearance..........Meeting Isabella.........Marrying Marlena the first and second times..........Running from Stefano’s men in a theater..........Saving Marlena at Ridgecrest, Stefano’s hideout.........and........being shot by Stefano on a mountain top.........


    Which makes his memory drift to him laying in a room. He can barely make out the voices but he can hear two men talking, with one of them saying.........

    Man: Are you sure he can’t remember the location? Damn........well, his memory must be erased. If anyone finds out what he knows..........

    And then Roman suddenly opens his eyes, terrified. Marlena is shocked and tries to bring Roman out of it but he grabs her by the wrist.....and won’t let go. As she tries to pull away, Roman keeps squeezing harder......

    And the scene freeze frames on his face, his eyes opened wide with fear............

    And then suddenly go black!

    -Billie is out on the hospital terrace with Kate comforting her over the Claire situation. Kate insists she is better no and that she doesn’t know why she broke down like that. Billie says she did it because she finally realized that her interference does nothing but make things worse, something that everyone has been trying to tell you. Kate says that she just wants what is best for her children but Billie says that Kate needs to back off and let nature take its course. Billie then goes back inside as Kate says she will be there in a minute. Privately, Kate admits that Billie is right and is horrified about the things she has done (we see flashbacks of her paying Franco, framing Sami for Franco’s murder, her alliance with Moroni and attempts on Victor’s life, exposing Sami and her alliance with her own son Lucas, paying Nicole $5 million to marry Lucas, her scheming to bust up Sami’s Vegas wedding to Austin, her setting up Sami and Brandon and exposing Sami as Stan, her pushing Phillip to make a move on Belle and then attempting to cover up Claire’s paternity). She breaks down again and realizes that she has done more harm then good and that she is the worst mother ever. Victor appears and says that she isn’t. She just doesn’t know her limits when it comes to parenting and he says that he will help her get better at that despite how angry he is with her for making him keep Claire’s paternity from Phillip as long as he did. Kate apologizes for doing that to him since it puts him in hot water with his family, especially Bo and Caroline. Victor tells her not to worry about it. Kate says that she needs to change because she doesn’t want to keep hurting her children and also doesn’t want them paying for her sins. Victor hugs her and says that he will help her in any way. They both then go inside.

    -Mimi is walking around and feel faint again. Billie catches this and asks Mimi if she is ok. She lies and says she is but Billie knows better. Mimi admits to her how ill she has been feeling and that she has had recurring fainting spells. She thinks they are because of fearing losing Shawn and all the stress of what is going on. Billie says that while that is logical, it is more likely something else. She asks Mimi what her symptoms are besides the fainting spells. Mimi says she is sick to her stomach and dizzy and sometimes gets very hot. Billie smiles and tells her to see a doctor since she may be pregnant. Mimi reminds Billie of her condition but then remembers being told that she would be able to conceive but that it would be near impossible to carry the baby to term. Billie says that Mimi needs to see a doctor based on those reasons right away to find out what is going on and what to do. Mimi agrees and smiles at the thought of being pregnant with Shawn’s baby, which would help her hold onto Shawn.

    -Shawn is holding Belle outside the ICU. She is still upset about Phillip and Claire. She adds that no one can get a hold of him and that she is worried. Shawn tells her to stop and not to blame herself and to only worry about their daughter. Belle agrees to try to do so and then asks Shawn if he wants to come in with her to officially introduce himself as Claire’s father. Shawn smiles and agrees. They go in and he holds his daughter’s hand for the first time and tells her that he is her father and how much he loves her. Belle says that she has Shawn’s eyes and that she always noticed that. Shawn says that she is just as beautiful as her mother. Mimi walks by and smiles saying that soon Shawn may have another child to love.

    -Will tells Chelsea that he is gonna call 911 since her whole body is severely burned but Chelsea stops him. He asks her why she did that and she says that if she goes to the hospital she will be arrested after she recovers. Will asks why and Chelsea says to forget it but to not call anyone. She asks him to help her on his own-she can’t make contact with anyone else (we then see a flashback to the accident and Chelsea speeding with Patrick). Will asks if anyone else was in the car. Chelsea then flashes back to the mystery man pulling Patrick out of the car and dragging him away. She says that Patrick was but he got out with some guy’s help. Will is stunned that someone left her and just saved Patrick but Chelsea says that the guy came back. Her door was completely bashed in and she wasn’t able to get out through there so the man had to save Patrick first. He did come back wearing fire gear and, after a struggle, rescued her but not before the flames reached her and, as he was pulling her out, she got burned even more. She says that the man really was scared and didn’t know what he was doing but he got her out anyway although she is burned. He ran off when he heard Will coming. Will screams out for the man saying that he could use his help but Chelsea said that the man was so afraid that he most likely ran off. She continues to scream in pain and begs Will to help her. He asks where Patrick is as Chelsea says she doesn’t know. Will looks around but can’t find him. Chelsea screams again in pain as Will realizes he needs to take action fast. He tells her he will be right back as Chelsea begs him to help her again.

    -Sami, Carrie, Austin, and Lucas continue to search for Will. They are really worried and have decided not to separate anymore since they have searched almost everywhere and feel they need to look together now. Lucas tries to comfort Sami again but Austin gets in the way. Carrie then tries to comfort Lucas too but Austin interrupts that as well. Lucas continues to feel left out and his rage against Austin grows. While walking down a street, they bump into Phillip who has a bottle of Whiskey in his hand and is clearly drunk. They all ask him what is going on. An angry, disoriented Phillip tells them that Claire belongs to Shawn and that Belle lied to him and betrayed him and their marriage. He says everyone knew they were together behind his back while he was overseas and then brings up how Kate and Victor knew about Claire’s paternity and kept it from him. Lucas then informs Phillip that he knew Belle and Shawn were still in love and that something was going on while he was at war. Phillip lashes out again and Sami then says she knew too since its was obvious to everyone in Salem. Phillip explodes with rage and throws the Whiskey bottle against a brick building. He says that everyone thinks he is stupid and nothing but a pathetic, honorable, nice guy. He is done with that and says that he is not that man anymore. He says he hates everyone, including all of them, and that they will all pay. Sami rolls her eyes as Phillip looks at her and says she will pay too. Both Carrie and Austin try to calm him as Phillip says that even though both of them didn’t know about anything he still doesn’t trust them and hates them. He hates everyone and his ability to trust and love and care is gone after everything he went thorough with Chloe and Belle. He screams that he hates them all and then pushes Austin and Lucas aside and walks away, ignoring their pleas to come back and talk. They go back to looking for Will and decide that they will go to the hospital to check in on the Claire front and find out what happened once they find Will. They go off to continue the search..

    -Maggie and Caroline are hysterical and demand that the EMT’s get their husbands out of the car ASAP. Shawn SR is pulled out of the driver’s seat easily as Bo, Hope, John, Marlena, Bonnie, and Roman look on. Bo and Roman go to hold their mother as Hope holds Maggie. Shawn Sr, who has massive internal injuries, is put into an ambulance as Caroline goes in it with him. Mickey is then removed from the car after a struggle and has a serious head injury and internal bleeding. He is put in an ambulance too and Maggie rides with him. Bonnie comforts Roman and promises to be there for him since he has been nothing but nice to her. Roman thanks her and says its good to have someone with him right now. Marlena blames herself since it was Alex’s car that hit Shawn Sr’s car and made the pole fall. John reassures her that the person who did this was the person who was speeding and slid on ice and caused the chain reaction. He says it really wasn’t even Alex’s fault, although he contributed to it by speeding himself and crashing. He says that Marlena was injured herself and is just as much a victim as everyone else involved. Marlena hugs him as we wee John bend down a bit and touch his leg which has blood dripping down from his cut. Everyone takes off for the hospital.

    -Will runs up to the accident scene and realizes that his only way to help Chelsea is to steal an ambulance since it has medical supplies and everything else he needs. He finds an empty one and jumps in. Luckily , the keys are in it. He drives it off as the ambulance workers give chase. He speeds around a few corners and then hides it in a wooded area a few miles away from the scene. The authorities giving chase go off in another direction. Will then runs back to Chelsea on the other end of the woods. He wraps her in towels and then carries her to the ambulance where he decides to lie low until he is sure they won’t get caught. Chelsea thanks him as Will decides to go through the medical supplies while they wait to find something to help Chelsea as she is in sheering pain and is susceptible to infection due to her badly burned condition.

    -Lexie is stunned to see Abe and she asks him how much he heard. Abe says everything and admits he even saw how Lexie was holding Tek so lovingly. The look in her eyes and everything she said was like a knife through his heart. Lexie realizes Abe can see and says that she is so happy as he tells her to shut up. He now knows everything and says that she used his blindness to her advantage knowing full well that if he could see she could have never got away with an affair. He lashes out at her for all the times he asked her what was going in with Tek and all the times she lied (flashbacks are then shown of when Abe was on the island and talked to Tek about Lexie and their relationship, Abe’s return home and him noticing how close Tek and Lexie were, and all the times he questioned Lexie about Tek). He reminds Lexie of everything they have been through (his brother Jonah, her father, the baby switch mess and her fling with Brandon, and her thinking he was dead). He says he has given her plenty of chances but now its really over. Celeste then says that she told Lexie this would happen as Abe realizes Celeste knows too. She apologizes but Abe assures its ok since she was merely keeping her daughter’s confidence. She also says that Lexie knew of Tek’s shady past and still had her fling with him anyway. Abe admits he learned of it too but let it go because Tek was a good friend and Abe felt bad for the way he treated him at times. Now he realizes Tek backstabbed him along with Lexie. He tearfully tells Lexie that they finally had it all. They had a son and Brandon and everything would have been perfect now with his sight back. She had to go ahead and ruin it. Lexie begs him to reconsider and says that she was vulnerable due to him pushing her away. Abe accepts responsibility for pushing Lexie into Tek’s arms but says that he can’t forgive her not being honest. He says that even though Tek is dead he can’t forgive him either for betraying him. The dishonesty is what bothers him most. Lexie breaks down saying she can’t lose him too as Abe says you already did. This time for good and walks away saying not to call him, he will call her when he wants to her to come over and discuss Theo and what will happen to him now. Lexie begins to scream and grabs Abe’s leg telling him not to break up their family. He says its too late and looks her right in the eyes and says, “You are a Dimera through and through. You may as well as admit that to yourself. You are the same Lexie that did all those evil things a few years ago and you never did change. Like a true Dimera, you were a lion in sheep’s clothing.” She screams hysterically as he leavers her groveling on the ground as she begs for him to come back and for Tek to come back. She tearfully says that she didn’t mean to hurt anyone and that it was all a mistake. Celeste comes over to her and holds her and says that she brought it all on herself. She warned her and now she has lost everything. Celeste then has a vision of Lexie in the Dimera mansion with a glass of brandy. She is wearing a phoenix ring and is laughing in an evil way. Celeste looks at her daughter and says, “Dear God, Abraham was right. You are a true Dimera. The Dimera part of you is making its presence known and it is only going to get worse.” Lexie looks at her mother and wonders what she is saying and continues to cry hysterically, calling for both Abe and Tek and lamenting what she has done.

    -Shawn, Mimi, Belle, Billie, Victor, and Kate all see Bo, Hope, Maggie, Caroline, Bonnie, and Roman at the hospital. They are told what is going on as Shawn comforts his parents. Belle goes to comfort Shawn but Mimi jumps in and embraces him. Victor comforts Caroline as Roman gives him a dirty look. Bo calms him though. Bonnie holds Roman and continues to support him. She is also worried about Mickey too since he did truly care about her and treated her well. The ER doctor then comes out with news. He informs Maggie that Mickey I being rushed to emergency surgery due to extensive internal bleeding in his abdomen and his brain. Maggie cries in Hope’s arms. Caroline then asks the doctor about Shawn Sr. The doctor looks down and then expresses regret that they couldn’t save him. They did everything they could but there was too much bleeding internally and too much damage. Caroline breaks down in Victor’s arms. Bo go over and holds her, as does Roman and Shawn. Hope and Maggie hold each other too as they, along with everyone else, is upset. Kate acknowledges his Shawn Sr was always nice to her no matter what acts she committed. Belle and Mimi express love and praise for him. Bonnie tears up as well saying what a jolly man he was. Billie remembers how he always treated her well, even after Bo and her split up. Maggie goes over to Caroline and says that its so unfair. Caroline says that we just have to believe he is in heaven per God’s will and that he will look down on your husband and keep him with us. Maggie embraces her marveled by how kind Caroline is even after her husband’s death. Maggie blames herself for letting the men go out but Caroline tells her not to think that way. It was God’s will and nothing was stopping it. Bonnie goes over to Roman as Roman doesn’t say a word. Bonnie tires to comfort him but he backs off telling her not right now. Victor tells everyone how sorry he is and then embraces Caroline. Hope comforts Bo as Shawn is embraced by Belle, which is witnessed by Mimi. Caroline fights back more tears as Victor tells her how sorry he is. She thanks him. Belle and Mimi express their sympathies and ay how much they always admired Shawn Sr and her marriage, much like Alice and Tom Horton. They overcame a huge act of dishonesty early on and their relationship was stronger then ever, as was their family. Both girls say that they are sure that was because both Caroline and Shawn Sr became better committed to honesty and all the things that made a marriage successful. Belle says that one day she wants to be just like her (thinking of what she did to Phillip and her marriage). Mimi says the same and they both embrace Caroline and walk away. Hope then hugs her too and tearfully expresses her sympathy and admiration for her “father-in-law.” Caroline then turns around to Victor and becomes real upset and angry with herself. Victor urges her not to think about that right now, knowing full well Belle and Mimi’s words reminded her of their secret. Caroline says that she did lie to Shawn Sr again but this time he never learned the truth nor did she tell him and now she feels guilty. She betrayed him, their marriage, and their family and never told him. This is worse then her lie about Bo’s paternity. Victor tries to calm her but Caroline refuses and grabs Victor and says, “I should have told him I was unfaithful to him while we were at the castle. He died thinking I was a saint when I wasn’t even close-I promised him I would never lie about something big like I did before again and I did. I said I had moved past my feelings for you and I didn’t. We had an affair Victor and Shawn never knew.” He takes her in his arms as Roman looks at them resentfully and all the others comfort each other, not hearing what Caroline and Victor are discussing. Hope then asks Bo where John and Marlena went. Just then, we hear Marlena yelling. John is rushed into a cubicle as an upset Marlena is told to wait outside. She refuses to since she is a doctor and has clearance but Belle grabs her and asks what happened to her father. Marlena tells her about Alex kidnaping her and says that John must have got hurt saving her and never told anyone. Belle says he did the same thing in Paris during the coronation massacre in Paris as Marlena asks what she is talking about. Belle tells her never mind and asks if John will be ok, Marlena says there is a bad cut on his leg and he lost a lot of blood and that she doesn’t know anymore. They hold each other as everyone else looks on and comforts each other as Hope says in Bo’s arms, “How much more tragedy can we take?” The screen then fades to black on everyone in the hospital grieving.

    On the Next Days-

    Will seeks help in saving Chelsea as her condition worsens. Celeste comforts Abe. The Brady family rallies together and supports Maggie , along with the Hortons, as she waits for Mickey to come out of surgery. John takes a turn for the worse. Another Salem resident loses his or her life (and you won’t believe who)

    JANUARY 4, 2008-EPISODE # 408: CHAOS THEORY PART III


    SALEM POLICE STATION

    In his cell, Roman walks around, looking at his new home. He chuckles and then shakes his head, not being able to believe that he has ended up there, of all places. As he lays down on his cot, the guard brings in another prisoner......Lucas. They put both men in the same cell and Roman asks Lucas how his day is going. Lucas tells Roman about as well as his.

    Lucas then asks who will get the top bunk. Roman says he goes to the bathroom a lot in the night so it’s better for him to have the bottom bunk. Lucas is ok with that and Roman asks Lucas what he’s in for. Lucas says one never says what they are in for.....just what they have been charged with. Roman pauses for a moment and then tells Lucas he’s been charged with murder.

    Lucas then smiles, saying.......birds of a feather.

    Lucas then says he needs to get some rest and, as he lays down, Roman stands at the bars and looks out. He then, suddenly.....gets a memory flash. He shakes his head, trying to clear his thoughts, but another memory flash comes and goes. He chalks it up to stress and then goes to lay down on his cot.


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Victor and Maggie come walking in. Bo sees them and walks over, shaking Victor’s hand and kissing Maggie on the cheek. Victor tells Bo to fill him in and he does. Caroline sits off in a corner, by herself, and Victor walks over to say how sorry he is. He knows Frankie will be ok. Maggie walks over and agrees, telling Caroline that she just needs to keep that famous hope of hers going.

    Caroline says its been hours and she has two children in the hospital and one child locked up in jail. Victor asks what that is about and Bo tells him that Roman was arrested on murder charges. Before Victor can respond, Bo says he has their legal team working on it. Maggie asks has anyone seen Sami or any of the other family members and Hope then walks over, saying that some of them at the station......

    Seeing Lucas, who was also arrested for murder. Victor then wants to know what the hell is going on. Bo pulls him to the side and, as Hawk walks into the waiting area and over to the two men, Bo and Victor start talking......

    Victor: Tell me this, here and now. Is DiMera behind this?
    Bo: With Roman, yes. Even though there was an attorney down at the station......on Roman’s behalf, asking about bail.
    Victor: And Lucas?
    Hawk: I have some people that I know in the place. Both men are being looked after.
    Victor: Thank you, Hawk.
    Bo: So, what do we do now?
    Victor: Tell you what, son. You make the call. What should we do?
    Bo: Ok. Well, Hawk, do me a favor. Get in touch with our people at the D.A.’s office and see if they can get both Lucas and Roman moved to a minimum security jail. I’ll have Nico and some men watch Stefano’s house and get some taps on his phone reactivated. And then....
    Victor: Yes?
    Bo: Then we circle the wagons........and bear down. I feel another bad wind headed our way and if we don’t stop it........

    That’s the end......for all of us.

    The men separate as Max looks out a window. Abby comes over and asks what is on his mind. Max says he is thinking about all the times he and Frankie had to eat out of dumpsters and sleep on the streets when he was a kid. He then says, now look at them. Frankie is a world-class lawyer and he has made something out of himself as well. And all because the Brady's took them in and made them part of the family.

    But, that bond will always be there between him and Frankie and, as Max starts crying, all he can say is.....

    Max: He’s the only real brother I’ve ever had. I can’t lose him, Abby. I just can’t.

    Max puts his head on Abby’s shoulder as she pats a crying Max on his head, telling him that Frankie will be just fine.

    At the nurses’ station, Bo hangs up the phone. Hope walks over and asks if everything is ok. Bo tells her she has some nerve asking that after what she did. Hope just wants a chance to explain and Bo says she lost that right when she screwed his best friend. Victor overhears this as he stands behind a wall, listening. Hope tells Bo that it happened just one time and Bo says......

    Bo: Sure. One time you told me about.
    Hope: (Starting to cry) Bo, please. Forgive me.
    Bo: You really must be nuts to ask me for forgiveness.
    Hope: Steve is just as much a victim as I am........

    Victor’s face frowns into a cold stare and he pulls out his cell phone, calling Nico........

    Hope: And I just don’t want you to hold this against him.
    Bo: Hold it against him?! He steals my daughter, screws my wife behind my back, but I’m the one overreacting. That is BS and you know it, Hope.
    Hope: Bo, for God’s Sakes, listen to me.......
    Bo: (Grabbing her wrists) The only thing I want you to do......is go home, pack your [!@#$%^&*], and get out. I never want to see your face again....

    That is.......until we see each other in court......when I divorce you.

    Bo walks off as Hope tries to chase after her but Maggie runs over and grabs her, telling Hope to just give Bo time. Maggie comforts a deeply sobbing Hope......

    As, back at the...


    SALEM POLICE STATION

    Roman is asleep in his bunk. He tosses and turns, remembering days gone by.......

    The nightmare is ravaging his mind. He remembers a cabin exploding and himself on the run from the law. He remembers being charged with the Salem Stranglings..........the handcuffs being placed on his wrists........the breakout that Alice, Bo and Abe engineered.........and.......

    Being shot on the top of Stefano’s island and, as he falls, right before he hits the beach below........

    He wakes up, sweating and breathing very heavy. Lucas wakes up and asks if Roman is ok as Roman sits on the edge of his cot and tells Lucas it was just a bad dream. He then tells Lucas to go back to sleep.......they both have a long day ahead of them. Lucas lays back down and so does Roman but he is now terrified of going back to sleep. What he doesn’t want to tell Lucas, or anyone else, is that this is not the first time he’s had these nightmares......

    And he fears it won’t be the last time.


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Adrienne walks in and her and Steve hug. Steve tells her that he has really made a mess of things and Adrienne says he can’t think about that now. All his thoughts must be with Kayla. Steve then says that if the baby dies, or if Kayla doesn’t make it......it’s all his fault. Adrienne hugs her brother and, as he cries in her arms....

    Stephanie walks into a darkened room. She slowly walks over and takes a chair, sitting down by her sleeping mother. Stephanie takes her hand gently and asks her to please be ok. She tells Kayla she never had a brother or sister so for the both of them to die now would be pretty messed up. Stephanie then wipes the tears from her eyes as she places her head on her mother’s shoulder.

    Out in the waiting area, Mike and Lexie both walk in to the waiting area. Everyone stands as Mike says.....

    Mike: Well, we do have news........

    As the scene pans around the waiting area, Victor walks into Greta’s room. Maggie stands behind him as he takes a chair and, as he looks at his beautiful daughter, he says.......

    Victor: Damn. You just got out of here. Now, why would you end up back in here?

    Victor and Maggie both chuckle, as he continues......

    Victor: You can’t do this to us. Not now, not after all we’ve been through. So, I’m just going......to sit right here, until you get better, ok?

    Victor then leans in and kisses her on her forehead and, as the scene pans upward, it then slowly fades to black.

    Meanwhile, down in the parking lot, a mysterious man makes a phone call.......

    Man: My, my. What a New Year for these three families. Yes..........yes, everything is being monitored. Roman Brady is behind bars. So is Lucas Horton. Bo and Hope Brady are on the skids. Kayla Johnson, Greta Kiriakis and Frankie Brady are fighting for their lives. And Stefano DiMera is still being the puppet master. Soon, very soon.......it will be your time to strike. Sure, no problem. I’ll keep you informed. Good-bye.

    As the man hangs up, he looks toward the night sky and says......

    Man (CLICK HERE TO SEE HIS FACE!!!): Well.......looks like this is going to be one hell of a New Year.

    The man then walks toward his car as the scene slowly fades to black once again.


    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    EVIDENCE PILES UP FOR ONE SALEM RESIDENT...WHILE OTHERS FIND THEMSELVES DEALING WITH THE REPERCUSSIONS OF THE NIGHT BEFORE!!

    1/5/06 (sorry this is late guys-been busy-tomarrow's episode will be late too so stick with me-I hope this episode isn't too confusing since lots of characters are one and there is lots of action-ask questions please if there are any errors or confusions)

    -Will is having trouble trying to find a way to help Chelsea. He is sure he has what he needs to help but isn’t a doctor and doesn’t know exactly what to do. Chelsea continues to scream in pain, begging for help. She then loses consciousness. Will tires to wake her and then notices she isn’t breathing. He uses his CPR skills to revive her but she is still unconscious. He decides he needs help if he is gonna save her but is afraid to drive for fear of being spotted with the stolen ambulance. He finally decides to take action, despite having only a permit, due to the severity of the situation. He jumps in the driver’s seat and decides to drive the ambulance through part of the woods and onto a old countryside road that isn’t used much that he knows of. Knowing that the roads are still icy and that speeding would make him look suspicious, he decides to take his time. After driving through several quiet and hardly busy roads, he spots a isolated farmhouse. He hides the ambulance in a wooded area nearby and walks up the front door. He rings the bell and a elderly man hesitantly answers. Will asks the man if he knows of any doctors or medical centers nearby. He says he has a friend that is in desperate need of medical care. The old man’s wife walks up and says there is a small medical clinic five miles away off RT. 86. She says that they are like a mini hospital and should be able to help. Will thanks them and runs back to the ambulance. The elderly couple looks out the window and sees Will drive off, They wonder why on earth a teen is driving an ambulance and is looking for a medical center. They think about calling the cops but decide not to get involved unless something forces them too. Will follows directions and reaches the clinic. He parks the ambulance a block away to avoid being busted and carries Chelsea wrapped in blankets to the ER. The nurses and doctors are stunned by her burns and ask what happened. Will says she was in a bad accident and the car was in flames and she barely made it out. They rush her into a cubicle as Will waits outside, hoping Chelsea is ok and wondering what he has gotten himself into.

    -Marlena walks over and comforts Maggie and Caroline. She apologizes and says she feels responsible but both women won’t have that. They tell her to focus on John as they are praying for her. Caroline says that Shawn is looking out for John since he always felt that John was his son. Marlena embraces Caroline as Belle comes over and they hold each other. Caroline goes back over to Victor and tells him that they can’t let anyone ever know their secret. It would destroy her and his family knowing what they did to Shawn and having never told him. Caroline admits that what they did was shameful, especially not telling Shawn. Victor comforts her and tells her he won’t tell a soul and that both of them gave into passion so they are both equally responsible. Abe and Celeste walk in and learn what has happened. Both embrace Caroline and Maggie. They also console Marlena, who is waiting for word on John. They all ask Abe where Lexie is as Abe says that Lexie has other things going on. Meanwhile, Lexie is still at the accident scene as the EMT’s are telling her that they are taking Det. Kramer’s body to the morgue. Lexie tells them to wait and open the bag again. She apologizes for how everything ended and says that she will never forget what he meant to her during one of the toughest periods of her life. As she breaks down in tears, she confesses she loved him too just not as much as Abe which doesn’t matter now since she has lost both of them. She backs away as Tek’s body is zipped into the bag as Lexie tries to hold herself together. The EMT’s ask her if she is alright and needs a ride as she refuses saying that she just wants to go home right now and be with her son. They remind her that the hospital will need her services tonight with the storm and accident causing a surplus in patients. Lexie says that she can’t handle that tonight and walks away still in tears as both EMT’s look at her wondering what could get in the way of Dr. Carver’s dedication to saving lives. We then see Lexie covering her face saying, "How can I abide by an oath I already broke? Tek’s death is my fault and I could have saved him by just not letting things go this far. Tek’s blood is on my hands. I am too blame for his death, just like I am too blame for the death of my marriage.” Lexie then leans up against an ambulance and collapses in tears on the road.

    -Carrie, Austin, Sami, and Lucas all show up at the hospital. They are surprised to see so many people and want to know what is going on. Sami got a call from Hope saying that something had happened and they thought it was Will. Caroline walks over and says that it isn’t. She then fills them in on everything from John to Shawn Sr’s death. Sami and Carrie are devastated. Austin is surprised when Carrie turns to Lucas for comfort. He then embraces Sami, which Carrie spies. Then, both girls embrace their grandmother and express their sympathies. They both go over to Roman who is in a corner by the payphones. They hug him as Roman is unresponsive and walks away. Bonnie tries to follow him but gives up as Mimi tells her its not a good idea. Bo and Hope tell Sami and Carrie that their father is holding everything in right now for the family and that isn’t good. They all agree to stick together as a family to get through this as Sami continues to wonder about Will.

    -Lucas and Austin go over and talk to Kate. They mention they saw Phillip. Belle overhears and her, Shawn, and Mimi come over to hear what is up. Austin and Lucas fill then in and how hateful Phillip was as Kate starts getting upset again. Billie reassures her as Belle cries on Shawn’s shoulder which Mimi sees. Bo and Hope overhear and ask Shawn if its true-that he is Claire’s father. He says it is as Kate sees an overjoyed Hope and Bo hugging both Shawn and Belle, which Mimi sees as well. Kate then lashes out saying that Hope got her wish and now Phillip is a wreck. Shawn responds by announcing to everyone that Kate and Victor both knew. Everyone is stunned. Marlena walks over too and can’t believe what she is hearing. Hope is stunned, as is Bo. Caroline backs away from Victor and asks if its true. Victor explains everything as Caroline reminds him of his anger when she did the same thing when hiding Bo’s paternity. Victor says it was wrong but that he only knew a short time. He brings up that Kate knew longer and actually tried to change the records but he stopped her and changed them back. Hope lashes out at Kate, as do Marlena and Belle, for playing God in other people’s lives. Hope hauls off and smacks her sending Kate to the floor. Belle tells her to go to hell and to just stay out of people’s lives. Kate gets back up and says that it isn’t her fault Belle was a whore just like her mother. Marlena lunges for her and they have a brawl on the floor which is joined in by Hope. Austin and Lucas break it up. They all tell Kate to get out as Billie offers to leave with her. Kate and Billie talk on the way out as Billie says that Kate is getting what she deserved. Kate reminds Billie of her reasons for doing what she did as Billie points out all the reasons for not doing it and how everything she does to interfere makes things worse for her children. Billie goes to get the car as Sami walks out and gloats in Kate’s face saying, “The mother from hell finally got her due.” Kate just stands there as Sami smirks and lays into her about all her past deeds and how they backfired and hurt so many people, especially the very people she set out to help, her children. Billie walks in and tells Sami to lay off as Kate bursts into tears saying that Sami is right. A stunned Sami is marveled by Kate being in tears and admitting she is wrong. Billie drags her out to the car. Sami then decides to call Will’s friends again to see if maybe they were off somewhere and are now back or something. The first person she calls informs her that there was something going on with all the kids but its over now and that her son said everyone went home or their separate ways. She asks to talk to the kid. The boy tells her that Will ran off after getting mad at all of them over something and they never saw him the rest of the night. Sami thanks him and his mother for their help and races to tell Lucas. Lucas is with Carrie and Austin when Sami tell him what she found out. She is really worried now as Austin holds her and says everything is going to be fine.

    -Roman is on the roof as Bonnie is about to join him. Marlena then comes up and embraces him. The start talking about Shawn and all the memories they had of him. Marlena begs him not to hold his feelings inside since she knows he does that. Roman says he is in shock right now. Marlena informs him of her memory returning, except for her memories of John, and about Alex’s death. Roman is happy there is some good news. Marlena realizes she needs to get back since she has heard nothing about John yet. She hugs him and says she will always care about him and have a special place in her heart for him. He tells her he feels the same way. She leaves as Bonnie enters. Roman asks her why she is there. She says she just wanted to help him and agrees with Marlena about just letting things out. Roman tells her he doesn’t want to talk as Bonnie says that he had no problem talking with Marlena. Roman looks at her and just walks away as Bonnie vows to help him and not give up. There is just something about him that makes her want to help him and be there for him, like a force or pull. She follows him back downstairs.

    -Hope, Bo, Shawn, Belle, and Caroline all ask Victor how he could do what he did. He realizes it was wrong but he saw Phillip with Claire and it got the best of him. Everyone begins to understand where Victor was coming from and realize he had good intentions. He promises to make it up to all of them and that he will never withhold something like that again as long as he loves as he looks at Caroline. They all agree to let it go concerning Victor but can’t forgive Kate. They want her arrested for her part in the coverup since someone could have been hurt from changing medical records. Victor insists that Kate is being punished enough. Besides, he already bought her out of trouble and there is no evidence anymore since the records were changed back. They agree and leave Victor with Caroline, who holds her. Caroline asks what vow Victor will honor-his to not reveal her secret or his to not keep another big secret. Victor says he will do what she wishes but thinks that they can’t say anything right now. Her husband just died. She agrees and says they will discuss it later but she needs Victor to leave. She wants to be just with her family now. Victor understands and tells her to let him know if she needs anything. He will be there for her. He leaves.

    -Marlena comes downstairs, followed by Bonnie and Roman, as a doctor comes out with news. He tells Marlena that John is ok for now. However, they are very worried about infection since he had an open wound for so long while at the accident scene. Marlena, who is holding Belle, asks to see him but the doctor says they can once he is settled in a room. Then we see Frankie, Jen, Max, Abby, Doug, Julie, and Alice enter the scene. They got sick of waiting since nobody had been calling them. Maggie apologizes saying so much was going on. Everyone fills them in on Shawn Sr’s death, Mickey, John’s injury, Alex’s death, part of Marlena’s memory coming back, and Shawn being Claire’s father. Abe also announces that Tek as killed. Belle, Carrie, and Sami are happy Marlena has most of her memory back. Sami is really happy since Marlena doesn’t have any John memories but Marlena tells her to lay off. Sami, being the attention craver she is, mentions how Will is missing. Bo and Roman agree to send some squad cars out to look for him as Sami thanks them. Alice suggests that everyone hold hands in prayer to pray for Tek, Shawn Sr’s, and even Alex’s souls and the souls of anyone else who died. She also asks to pray for John, Mickey, Will, Phillip, Claire and anyone else who is pain, trouble, or heartache tonight. She also thanks God for those who survived the tragedy and for Marlena starting to remember, as well as Abe’s recovery as everyone in the room looks at him overjoyed. Everyone quietly prays. Belle decides to go check on Claire. Shawn wants to go too but Belle tells him to stay put since his uncle Mickey is in danger still. Mimi says she will go with Belle. Both of them leave. Abe and Celeste decide to go home too and go through the line of people embracing all of them. As they enter the elevator, Celeste tells Abe that she admires how strong he was. It could not have been easy helping others through tragedy and having to deal with what Lexie did to him. Abe says its hard knowing that his family has been destroyed because of lies again but that its also hard seeing so much pain and heartache tonight for lots of people who cares about. Celeste comforts Abe and says she feels everything will come out as it should and that he will be alright. She will help him. She then has a vision of a woman crying and screaming. Abe asks her what is wrong as she says that someone else is about to get bad news that will change lives forever.

    -A doctor comes out and asks for Mrs. Horton. Maggie introduces herself as her. The doctor tells her that her husband made it through surgery but is in very serious condition. At that moment, we hear several machines beeping and then hear an announcement for two cold blues. Marlena sees John’s doctor run by and asks what is going on as he says that John has gone into septic shock and is in code blue. Mickey’s doctor says that Mickey is code blue too and runs off as Maggie begins to break down as Caroline holds her and Marlena. Belle runs back with Mimi and learns what is going on. Everyone holds each other waiting to hear what happens and we see the Horton’s and Brady’s united together hoping for the best. We see two nurses walking by who say, “Those people in there must be family and friends. They are gonna be devastated. He was such a good man and so full of life.” Both Marlena and Maggie hear this and wonder who they are talking about as both scream that this can’t be happening. One of their husbands can’t be dead. Both doctors come out and we see them talking. They come over and Mickey’s doctor says he has bad news for Maggie, as does John’s doctor for Marlena. Since everyone knows both men real well and are family, they decide not to tell the news separately to the individual parties involved with both patients. Both doctors recommend both woman sit down as everyone else looks on and prays that no one has passed and that the nurses were wrong. Marlena asks if someone died as the doctors look down and Marlena and Maggie both hold hands screaming, “Oh no!! NO!!!” We see the grim looks on everyone in the waiting room’s faces intermingled with Maggie and Marlena waiting to hear which of their husbands didn’t make it. Screen then fades to black.

    On the Next Days...

    The extent of Chelsea’s injuries are revealed. A Salem resident wakes up a prisoner. The mystery man who saved Patrick and Chelsea is revealed. All of Salem mourns the death of a beloved citizen. Families band together in time of death and despair.

    1/6/06 (sorry for this being late-I will be on time the rest of the week as the episodes will be shorter now that things have calmed down. Enjoy!!!

    -Carrie, Austin, Sami, Lucas, Alice, Doug, Julie, Jennifer, Frankie, Max, Abby, Bo, Hope, Caroline, Roman, Bonnie, Mimi, Shawn, and Belle all watch as the doctors prepare to deliver the grim news to Marlena and Maggie. The doctors look at both women and say that one of their husbands is gone and the other has slipped into a coma. They look at Maggie and say that they are sorry. The injuries and head trauma were just too much for her husband. He is gone. Maggie breaks down in Marlena’s arms as she holds her. Alice crumbles into Julie’s arms in tears. Caroline gives her sympathies to Maggie as both women regret sending their husbands out into the storm. Marlena asks the doctor if John will come out of his coma. He tells her that John is very critical and that his wound was infected. They are running some tests to see how far the infection has spread and if amputation of limbs may be necessary. Marlena begins to tear up but realizing what is happening with Maggie and Caroline she is grateful. She hugs both women and comforts them. Everyone in the room mourns Mickey and Shawn Sr and recall memories of them. We see flashbacks of Mickey, Alice, and Tom. We then see Mickey and Maggie flashbacks of him being with her during her surgery, their wedding, both of them with Sarah and Melissa, and their recent wedding and reunion. Maggie cries saying that Mickey and her just got another chance and now its gone. She blames Tony for taking time from them, as does Caroline and many others. Bonnie then approaches in tears and takes Maggie’s hand. She apologizes to Maggie for keeping her and Mickey separated. She says that she did love him and that he was the only man who ever cared for her. Roman sees this and is touched. Maggie tells Bonnie that despite their differences she knows that Mickey did care for her and that he saw something special in Bonnie that no one else did. They hug. The Horton’s and Brady’s and others all band together to pray for the souls of all those who died and for John’s recovery. Everyone marvels at Alice’s strength over losing her son but she claims that he is with Tom now and that both of them, along with Shawn Sr and others, are looking down on them now. Maggie and Caroline are told they can now say goodbye to their husbands. Marlena goes and sees John with Belle. The Horton’s go in and see Mickey’s body and all of then band together and comfort each other. Doug, Julie, Shawn, Bo, Hope, Lucas, Abby, Jen, Frankie, Alice, and Maggie all say goodbye to him. Maggie then notices Bonnie and invites her in to see Mickey one last time. Bonnie kisses him and thanks him for everything. Caroline, Bo, Roman, Hope, Sami, Carrie, Marlena, and Shawn all say goodbye to Shawn Sr. Roman continues to bottle up his feelings as Bonnie tells him to let it out. He says he is fine and has a lot to do and tells Bonnie to back off. Bonnie tells Bo that she is worried about Roman as Bo says he is too. Sami asks Bo if there is anything new about Will. Bo says when him or Roman learn anything she will know. Sami gets upset as Lucas comforts her along with Austin. Lucas gets jealous again. Marlena then holds both Carrie and Sami as they say goodbye to Shawn Sr. Marlena thanks him for being a good father in law and that she always felt like he was her own father. Bo cried on Shawn Sr.’s body saying that he will always be his father and that he will learn how all this happened. Caroline says goodbye and whispers to him an apology for not telling him about Bo being Victor’s son and admits her recent infidelity with Victor to him. She breaks down on his body as Bo pulls her off and everyone leaves. The Horton’s and Brady’s and everyone else all meet in the chapel to hope and pray for John and the dead. A wind blows through and the candles go out. Everyone takes this to be a sign that those that died are still with them and that they are looking down on them. Maggie then goes outside. Julie says she will call the family and let them all know. Maggie agrees but says she will call Melissa and Sarah. Alice walks up and holds Maggie. She tells her none of this was her fault and that it was just meant to be. Mickey loved her and wouldn’t want her to blame herself. Maggie does though since the party was her idea and she sent both men out. Caroline said she did the same too but its not no one’s fault. The storm was bad and it was meant to be. Maggie still blames herself as everyone looks on worried about her. She calls Melissa and Sarah and tells them about Mickey. Caroline calls Kayla and Kimberly and tells them about Shawn Sr.

    -Bonnie tries again to get through to Roman but fails. He tells her to leave him alone. Mimi tells her to back off but Bonnie says that she can’t. They both need to comfort each other right now since they are both in pain from losing people they care about. Mimi leaves as Bonnie says that she cares too much about Roman to see him do this to himself.

    -Roman joins Bo and Hope. Hope tells Roman that Bo just got a call from some units at the scene of the accident. Bo hangs up the phone with a stunned look on his face. He says that a car was found in a ravine. It must have crashed and caught fire and it was apparently the car that started the accident and was speeding, according to witnesses and the officers giving chase. No bodies were found in the car but since it exploded remains are being looked for and they found a luggage tag and women’s necklace. Bo says that the tag belonged to Patrick Lockhart and the necklace belonged to Chelsea. The remains of the car also match with the car they took to Green Mountain. Hope comforts Bo as Bo believes that there is no way they could’ve survived. Bonnie overhears and runs off in tears as Roman follows her. He finds her crying in the stairwell. She looks at him and he apologizes to her for her loss. She runs into his arms and he holds her as she cries in his arms. Hope can’t believe they are gone as Bo blames Patrick for taking her up there. Hope disagrees and then stops and realizes that this means Chelsea started the whole wreck due to her recklessness. She asks Bo again if she was speeding. Bo says that she was and that the cops chased her for a good 10 miles and she didn’t pull over. Hope lashes out at Bo and says that all the deaths and tragedy is Chelsea’s fault. Her recklessness killed Patrick, Tek, Mickey, Shawn Sr, and several others and injured many. Bo realizes this too and tries to make up excuses for her. Hope then lashes out and blames Bo for always excusing her behavior and she blames Billie for this too. She asks him if he is happy now-his daughter has destroyed lives and nothing can make things the way they were. Bo gets upset and fires back that Hope is the one that pushed along with Billie for Chelsea to go with Patrick to Green Mountain so she is too blame too. They start arguing back and forth as Hope says that once again Bo has sides with his brat of a daughter. Bo asks her if she is seriously blaming Chelsea for starting the accident and she says she is since it was Chelsea’s speeding and reckless behavior that caused it all. Bo blames her again citing the fact that she advocated hard for Chelsea to go with Patrick on the trip. Hope says she would have went anyway because Billie or him would have gave in like usual because Chelsea always gets her way and always has things done her way and this time all that came at the expense of lives. Jen, Frankie, Max and Abby hear this and learn what is going on. Max and Abby comfort each other and can’t believe Chelsea and Patrick may be dead. Jen and Frankie do the same and urge Bo and Hope to calm down. No one is too blame since the conditions were also bad for driving and you just can’t deal in “what ifs.” Bo and Hope look at each other painfully, both still hurting from what was said and Bo walks off. Hope cries on Jen’s shoulder and Frankie goes after Bo.

    -Marlena and Belle visit John. They both pray for his recovery. Belle goes off to let Brady know what is going on and to check on Claire. Marlena holds John’s hand and has a memory flash of being in the Paris hospital with him after he was shot in the coronation massacre. She tells John that he needs to make it so that he can help her get her memories back of him. She needs him and even though she doesn’t remember their time together she can feel the love and connection right now. She tells him that Alex is gone now and that he just needs to wake up and then they can work together to get back her memories of him and get back their life together. She lays on top of him and cries, begging for him to fight to get through this.

    -Belle goes to check on Claire after calling Brady and finds Shawn and Mimi there. Mimi leaves after Shawn asks to talk to Belle alone. Mimi almost faints again in the hallway and decides that she will make a doctor’s appointment in the morning to see what is going on. She continues to worry about losing Shawn and believes that is why she is feeling ill of late. Belle and Shawn comfort each other and discuss the events of the night. They hope that Claire gets a miracle. Shawn says she has to because there has been too much loss already. He hugs her and leaves to check on his family. Mimi walks in and her and Belle talk. Mimi asks if everything is ok and Belle says that it is but they are worried about losing Claire. Mimi feels ill again as Belle asks what is wrong. Mimi says its just stress making her feel ill as Belle says she is just worried about losing Shawn now with everything that has happened. Mimi says that isn’t it but Belle sees through it and says that she still loves Shawn and that if he still wants her there isn’t anything standing in the way now. Mimi bring up Phillip but Belle says he won’t want her anymore and he has been hurt so much already. She says its Shawn’s choice and if he wants her it’s a go. She should have never married Phillip or stayed with him. Mimi agrees but says that Shawn loves her and that he isn’t gonna drop her just to go back to Belle. Belle looks at her and says that what her and Shawn have will never be the same as what she had with Shawn. They argue back and forth as Mimi accuses Belle of thinking she isn’t good enough for Shawn as Belle says that Mimi isn’t right for Shawn. They move into the hallway and argue some more. Belle says it makes no difference because she has Shawn’s baby and Mimi will never be able to give him biological children. Belle quickly apologizes for going that far but Mimi turns around and says that she will never forget her saying that. She is supposed to be her best friend. Belle apologizes as Mimi says that Belle is right but that she didn’t have to throw it in her face. Belle tries to comfort her and apologize further but Mimi starts breathing heavy and grabs her stomach. She then falls backward in pain as Belle catches her. Mimi loses consciousness as Belle begs her to wake up and yells for a doctor.

    -Sami continues to call people in search of Will. She says she can’t lose her son after all the loss tonight as Austin comforts her and then holds Carrie saying they will find Will and that he will help them get over their grandpa’s death. Lucas sees this and is jealous because he should be comforting Sami since Will is their son and he wants people to sympathize with him too since he lost his uncle Mickey. He really seethes when Austin says that he will always think of Will as his son as Sami says that Will will always have a special bond with Austin. Lucas seethes with anger and goes back to the phones to call some more people to find out where Will is. Meanwhile. Will waits at the hospital and keeps remembering Chelsea’s burnt body and everything that has happened. He wonders who saved her and Patrick from the fire and where Patrick is. The doctor comes out and asks Will if he is family. He says he is technically but it’s a long story. The doctor tells Will that she will need extensive surgery to repair the damage and that her vocal cords were strained while screaming in pain after the fire. Her whole body needs skin graphing and extensive surgery. Will is horrified and tells the doctor that he don’t know how Chelsea can afford to pay for it. He asks about the family and remembering what Chelsea said about no one finding out he says she has no family. They are all gone. The doctor asks who he is and he says that he is her fiancee.

    -A man wakes up in a chamber in a abandoned warehouse. Its Patrick. He bangs on the door wondering what is going on. A man, the same one who saved Patrick and Chelsea from the fire, walks up to the chamber. Patrick asks who he is. The man unmasks himself. Its Bart. Patrick asks what he is doing here. Bart says he saved his life because him and the boss weren’t finished with him yet. He asks about Chelsea. Bart says he was afraid to go back but he did. It’s a good thing he had fire gear though. He says that the girl was badly burned but he had to leave her there. Patrick yells at him for leaving her but Bart says he would have been caught by Sami’s teen brat Will who found her. Patrick insists that Bart find Chelsea and help her since the boss would want that. Bart thinks about and agrees to do so. He tells Patrick that the accident was the perfect setup for what is to come even though the boss didn’t plan on it. It makes things much better. Patrick asks to be let out but Bart refuses saying that they need him contained right now until they want to release him. Bart goes off to find and help Chelsea. Patrick worries about Chelsea, knowing full well other cars were in the accident. He worries she will be arrested. He says that the plan went too far and that he hurt her so much. That is why all this happened. He also says that he should have never got involved with the Dimeras but they had the goods on him and they will reveal all if he doesn’t obey. He needs to stay put for now and hope that Bart helps Chelsea. He tells himself that if he disobeys the Dimera’s would out him and what he did for another powerful man when he was younger. He can’t let that secret come out or the people who come after him then will be worse then the Dimeras and several people in Salem will put themselves in danger. He, along with all of them, would be killed, and many would suffer if they realized the huge plot he was a part of that affected many Salemites. A worried Patrick looks out through the bars of his prison as the screen fades to black.

    On the next Days...

    Lucas and Sami hear from Will. Will covers for Chelsea as Bart comes to Chelsea’s aid. Bo and Hope’s relationship begins to crumble and they make a huge discovery at the hospital that may make things worse. Bonnie and Roman grow closer. Mimi learns about Patrick’s “death” and her health worsens.

    JANUARY 7, 2008-EPISODE #409: FREEDOM


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Mike tells everyone that Frankie survived the surgery........but his spleen was removed. He can live a normal life without it. Caroline asks if her son is going to survive and Lexie looks at Mike and steps forward, saying that with the injuries that he sustained that the chance for blood clots and other complications are high. Kimberly wheels into the waiting area, saying that everything is ok at the Pub. Max and everyone else fills her in on what took place and she can’t believe Nicole hasn’t been picked up yet for attempted murder. Kimberly adds that Roman can sit in jail but Nicole can walk free.

    The Brady's then take a slow walk to the I.C.U. and see Frankie laying still in his bed, with machines helping him survive. As Caroline cries on Bo’s shoulder, Bill and Mike walk up and tell them that Kayla and the baby are stable and she is resting in her room.

    That is when Bo tells Bill and Mike he’s surprised that they are still there. When Bill asks why, Bo says that Lucas was arrested tonight..........

    On rape and murder charges. Bill and Mike look at one another in shock as Bill says he’s going to the station to help his son. As Bill races down the hall, the scene shifts......


    SALEM POLICE STATION

    Carrie and Will walk in. Lucas is brought in dressed very nicely and Will gives his father a hug. As Lucas thanks Carrie for bringing Will in, Kate walks in in a huff, saying she wants to know why Lucas or no one else called her. Lucas answers, saying that he’s already looking at life. With her there, he didn’t see the need to sign up for the death penalty. Kate rolls her eyes and Lucas says that is exactly what he’s talking about.

    All she can do is throw her hair back, roll her eyes and treat everyone like they are so much crap on her shoe. Well.........time for her to know where they stand with each other. She can truly go straight to hell. Period. End of story. Kate says that no matter what, he is her son, and she will always be there for him, which makes Lucas agree. She will be there.......just like having herpes. Kate is silent as she looks around, turns and leaves.

    Once outside the office, she calls both Philip and Billie but gets no answer from either one. Carrie walks out, saying she is off to Roman’s arraignment. Right before she leaves, Patricia walks in, smiling. She tells everyone that Lucas is facing nine counts of rape. Kate says that this is absurd and Patricia answers, saying that these Midwestern rapes that have been occurring have now been linked to Lucas.......with the evidence that she has found in his apartment, including news articles, a black outfit, and other items........

    That will guarantee that this member of Salem’s finest family spends the rest of his life......behind bars. As everyone looks around shocked, the scene once again switches......


    MOTEL ON SALEM'S EAST SIDE

    Philip and Alyson wake up at the same time and look at each other. Both are hung over but still can’t believe what they did the previous night. They both slowly get up and start getting dressed, as they wonder what to do next. For his reputation, they promise to each other that whatever happened will stay their secret. They both then say that unwinding really felt great the previous night. As they finish getting dressed, they smile at each other and then leave separately. As each of them drive in the opposite direction, they wonder if what they did will affect them.....and if so, how. The scene then shifts to...


    SALEM COURTHOUSE

    Several hours later...family and friends sit in nervous anticipation for the proceedings to begin. Sami is helped into the courtroom by Max while Marlena sits in the front row. Sami and Marlena take each other’s hand as Sami tells her everything will be fine. Carrie, sitting on her other side, and Belle also encourage her to stay hopeful. As everyone sits still, the judge comes out and as he sits down, Roman is led in. He looks at the standing room only crowd that came to support him......his family, brothers and sisters, and longtime friends. He smiles at everyone and waves, as he and Marlena take each other’s hand. He kisses her on the cheek and then sits down, as Patricia calls the court to order.........

    Patricia: Your Honor........the defendant that sits before you today.......was once one of Salem’s finest. This court recognizes the many sacrifices that he has made in the line of duty......but, that does NOT excuse his wanted and blatant act of murder that he committed on the evening in question. After engaging in a fight to the death with a citizen of this community, he willfully caused his death by firing his personal weapon at a jetliner........causing it to crash on national television and burst into flames, killing both of the occupants and the flight crew in the process.

    It is my duty to inform the court........that this man, Roman Brady, be held without bail.......for four counts of murder.........in the first degree. If not, it will send a message that he and others like him are above the law.........and I hope that the court will grant this action.

    As Patricia sits down, smiling, Roman’s lawyer stands, but he says something shocking........

    Lawyer: At this time.......I use the right to recuse myself from these proceedings.

    Everyone gasps as the judge calls order and, at that moment, all eyes turn to the doorway......as Stefano walks in with Cassie, arm in arm. They sit at the back of the courtroom and, as everyone stares hatred at the pair, the judge asks Roman’s lawyer why he is doing this. The lawyer responds.....

    Lawyer: Because I was instructed to.......by Roman’s new attorney.

    In walks a very beautiful woman.....who sends chills down Patricia’s spine. The new lady lawyer looks at Patricia and says.....

    Special Guest Star Layla Ali: Nice to see you again.......Patty.

    Patricia doesn’t say a word, as the new lawyer introduces herself as.......

    Diana Winters, Roman’s new lawyer.

    The judge is very impressed, knowing that she is a partner in one of the country’s biggest law firms.......and is on Victor’s personal payroll. Roman turns and looks at Bo, who simply smiles back at him and nods his head. Roman silently says thanks to his brother, as Linda proceeds.....

    Diana: Your Honor.........my colleague was indeed right. This man has sacrificed a lot for his duty of being a police officer in Salem. I would like to enter into evidence Exhibit A......a picture of what this man looked like 24 years ago. His face was surgically altered by one of Salem’s........and the world’s......most notorious crime bosses. His memory was erased and he was separated from his family for many years. In 1991, a ruse was perpetrated on him.....when another man claiming to be the REAL Roman Brady surfaced and he lost everything that was dear to him.

    Well, over a year ago, he regained that which was stolen from him.......only to have a man who had once blew up his home.......with his wife, Marlena Evans Brady inside, no less.......and has, just recently, been responsible for the kidnapping and supposed death of his daughter, Samantha.

    Everyone is listening intently, as Diana continues......

    Diana: And now, when he had been pushed to the edge......when he felt that the man responsible would once again gain his flight to freedom, not answering for the crimes against the people of Salem......he took action. Anyone......who has been through what this man has been through, surely would have done the same. And, I ask the court to consider all of this....

    As it makes it’s decision. I thank you.

    Diana sits down as everyone on Roman’s side applauds and the judge once again calls order.....and threatens to clear the courtroom.

    Patricia stands and asks for a rebuttal. As the judge grants it, she says.....

    Patricia: Is this the same man who, with his brother’s help, his best friend’s help, and the help of one Alice Horton, escaped from this same jail over 25 years ago when he was rightfully arrested for the Salem Stranglings?

    Diana stands and counters.......

    Diana: Yes, he escaped......to prove his eventual innocence! He was almost framed for those murders, murders that were committed not by him......but by one Andre DiMera, nephew of crime kingpin Stefano Dimera......

    Who arrogantly sits in this court today!

    The judge calms both women down and reminds them to act civil in his courtroom. As both women stare at one another and sit down, the judge announces that he has heard everything and will now render a judgment......

    Judge Hardcastle: Well, both attorneys make very compelling cases. Please stand, sir.

    Roman stands and looks at the judge.....

    JH: And, I must commend you, Mr. Brady, on your many years of service to the people of Salem. That does not weigh lightly in my decision. You have saved these people time and time again.......and at the risk of your own personal safety.
    Roman: Thank you, sir.
    JH: But.........one of the things that really counts against you, sir, is the escape that occurred all those years ago. Even though you eventually gained your freedom, we simply cannot have one person who.....for whatever reason.....feels that they can use the law as they see fit.
    Roman: I understand, Your Honor.
    JH: And therefore, because of that, I have no choice sir........

    But to deny bail at this time.

    Everyone gasps in shock as the bailiff takes Roman by the arm. Marlena reaches out to him but they are separated too quickly. Sami is being comforted by Belle and Carrie as Bo and Abe stare at a smiling Stefano and Cassie. Tony then storms over demanding to know why Cassie came there today. Marlena stomps over, wanting to know the same answer.

    Cassie tells them both that they never have been parents and she has never been a mother, so Cassie owes them nothing. Tony tells Stefano that if he finds out he had anything to do with this.......and Stefano tells him to watch who he’s threatening. Diana walks over and says Patricia won this battle but that she doesn’t fight battles.......

    She wins wars. Linda walks off and tells Marlena she will be in touch later on today and Bo tells Stefano that this isn’t the last of anything. Stefano agrees. He says the last of it will end....

    Stefano: With Roman Brady locked away.......FOREVER!!!!!

    Stefano laughs as he walks Cassie out the courtroom and leaves a tearful yet defiant Marlena seething with anger.......

    And plotting her revenge. As the scene freeze frames on her tear-stained face and slowly fades to black.

    JANUARY 8, 2008-EPISODE #410: THE LITTLE THINGS...


    STREETS OF DOWNTOWN SALEM

    Nicole is walking the streets wearing a red haired wig, glasses, and layers of clothing. She is carrying takeout food and is about go south on West St but stops herself, saying something is telling her not go that way. She decides to take a shortcut to get back to Orpheus' apartment. As she walks toward an alley, she notices a little boy digging in a trash can in an alley. He pulls a sandwich out and sits down but seems to be favoring a knee that is all cut up. Nicole can see and hear him crying and seems tempted to go over to the boy. She prepares to walk away but can't seem to. Drawn to the child, Nicole opts to go over to him and does so.

    Nicole approaches the boy...it's Joelle's son, Joey! Joey backs away as she approaches. Nicole tells him not to be afraid, saying she heard him crying and saw that he was hurt. Joey says he is not supposed to talk to strangers. Nicole nods and then points out that his knee needs to be taken care of and adds that eating sandwiches out of a trash can is not a good idea either. Joey tells her he has no choice, he is all alone. Nicole asks if he ran away from home or is lost. Joey shakes his head, saying he has no one. His grandma is gone and now, so is his mother. Nicole asks what he means by "gone." Joey tearfully says they both died and he has no one else. His mom always said it was just the three of them. Now it's just him.

    Nicole is shocked and seems very affected by this. She is confused about what to do about this boy, knowing full well she is in hiding. Nicole seemingly can't help but feel drawn to Joey and even seems to be fighting back tears. After a few moments of indecisiveness, Nicole tells Joey she knows he doesn't know her and that she is a stranger but suggests he come with her to her place. She can give him a decent meal and clean his knee up. Joey is unsure and a little afraid. Nicole smiles and says he probably has one hell of a scream and is quicker then her so, if she is a manic, he can probably get away. Joey laughs. Nicole holds out her hand and introduces herself. Joey tells her his name and, after a few moments, takes her hand. She then helps him up and helps him along as the scene shifts to...


    BILLIE'S P.I. OFFICE

    Billie is asleep on her desk. After a few moments, she begins to stir. She is disheveled and hung over. She looks around, wondering where she even is, She sees two empty bottles of vodka on the floor near her desk and comes to the realization of what happened to her last night and how she fell off the wagon. She covers her face in shame and can't believe what she did after all these years of sobriety, telling herself all that has happened to her is not an excuse. She gets up and tries to get a hold of herself and clean herself up. She puts some coffee on and jumps in fright at the sound of a knock at the door. Jack yells out it's him and Billie slowly and reluctantly goes to open up, trying her best to make herself look presentable.

    Billie answers the door and Jack is shocked at the sight of her, asking what happened. Billie lies and says she was so stressed out she left the hospital and tried to throw herself into her work, adding she got no sleep at all either. Jack tells her that she looks like she had been drinking. Billie shakes her head, saying what she said is the truth. Jack asks if she is ok. Billie tells him she is dealing with everything but needs time to work through it all. Jack tells her he has good news and bad news. Billie braces herself. Jack tells her that Greta is fine, Kayla and her baby are stabilized but still in danger, and that Frankie made it through surgery but it's still touch and go. Billie nods, saying that is better then she expected. Jack tells her that he will give her the bad news now...Lucas is arrested and is being charged with 9 counts of rape and murder, saying he has now been tied to the Midwestern rapist crimes on top of Joelle's murder and rape.

    Billie is stunned. Jack points out that Kate and him have been looking for her to tell her. Billie quickly says she has to get dressed and get down to the station. She tells Jack not to wait for her. She can take herself and thanks him. Jack asks if she is sure she is ok and tells her they are all worried about her. Billie insists she is fine, says goodbye, and closes the door in his face. She then tells herself she doesn't know how much more she can take while Jack tells himself outside Billie's office that something is really wrong with Billie and wonders what. The scene shifts to...


    SALEM PARK

    Belle is with Claire near the playground when Philip walks by. Belle asks what he is doing there. Philip tells her not to worry. He was taking a shortcut to a meeting, not stalking her. Belle gives him a cold and sarcastic look. He smiles and says hello to Claire, kissing her as Belle looks on. Philip asks what they are up to. Belle tells him that Claire had a play date and she came to get her while her family deals with what has happened to her father and Lucas. They are just on their way home and Claire wanted to walk through the pretty, snow-covered park. Philip asks about Lucas. Belle is shocked no one told him. Philip realizes his phone is off and turns it on, seeing the many messages he has. Belle fills him in. Philip decides he has to go to the station. Belle asks why he had his phone off as he never does. Philip says he was busy last night. Belle remembers how early Philip left his father's wedding and asks what was so important that he left Victor's wedding and turned his phone off.

    Philip shakes his head and smiles, telling Belle why she even cares. He has been trying for weeks to prove himself to her and she kicks him around like a rag doll. Belle rolls her eyes, saying he is taking it all the wrong way. Philip doesn't think he is and tells Belle he doesn't care anymore. He knows she will never forgive him and he knows she will poison Claire against him. Philip points out he loves his daughter and doesn't want to give up on her but doesn't know what else to do. He tells Belle she will have to come to him if and when she is good and ready but he isn't waiting anymore or groveling.

    Philip: You will see, Belle. One day, when Claire is older, she will ask about her daddy. What are you going to tell her? You always pride yourself on being Ms. Perfect. Doing no wrong! Certainly, you wouldn't lie to your own daughter, would you?

    Belle looks coldly at Philip.

    Philip: That day will come, Belle. When it does, you will realize what an insensitive brat your being. Looks like you still have alot of growing up to do.

    Philip kisses Claire goodbye and walks off, giving Belle one more look before leaving, as a stunned Belle looks on and the scene fades to...


    ORPHEUS SECRET PALATIAL HOME(on the outskirts of Salem)

    Nicole is tending to Joey's knee, telling him the disinfectant will sting. Joey braces himself as Nicole sprays it. Joey doesn't think that was bad. Nicole smiles. Joey looks at her and says she has a nice place. Nicole says it's a friend's, who went on a long vacation. Joey points out that him and his mom had a small place with his grandma. Nicole puts the bandage on his knee and says he is all set. She then gets up and asks what he wants to eat. Joey asks why she is being so nice to him. Nicole looks at him and says she really doesn't know. It just feels right. Joey tells her that his grandma always believed in angels. Not so much his mom. Joey tells Nicole he thinks she is his angel, coming to help him. He thinks that is why he felt he could come with her. Nicole smiles, saying she is no angel. She asks again what he would like to eat. Joey tells her he likes PB&J. Nicole thinks she can do that.

    Joey thanks Nicole and says he will be gone after he eats. Nicole asks where he is going to go. Joey is silent. Nicole thinks it's best if he stays with her for the night and they can talk about possible plans later. Joey asks if that is ok, saying it would be nice to be in a warm place tonight. Nicole nods, saying it's fine. Joey smiles, thanking her again. Nicole goes to make his PB&J and glances at her purse. She notices a picture she has of Eric that is loose in her purse and takes it out. She stares at it, recalling how something told her to go where Joey was earlier and how she was drawn to him and he to her. She looks at Eric and then looks to the heavens above. Nicole wonders if Eric brought Joey to her for a reason. Nicole looks over at Joey on the couch as the scene shifts to....


    SALEM POLICE STATION

    Billie arrives and Kate notices how awful she looks. She looks at her and asks if she has been drinking. Billie gives Kate the same lie she told Jack. Kate doesn't seem to buy it. Marlena, Abe, Carrie, Will, Bill, Mike, and a wheelchair-bound Sami enter the room just as Jack and Philip arrive. Abe tells them there is more evidence. The Midwestern rapist left a calling card near all his victims...it was a letter...which turned out to be the first letter of all the last names of the victims. Abe notes that this evidence was just pieced together and, with Joelle's name now on the list due to Lucas being tied to the Midwestern rapist murder crimes, the letters now seem to spell out something. Kate asks what that is. Abe writes the name of each victim on a board in front of them.

    Brenda Sanders, Myra Andrews, Melanie Meadows, Selena Ingram, Lorna Burrows, Leslie Ryder, Paula Adrian, Melinda Drier, and...the most recent and only Salem victim, Joelle Young.

    Everyone is stunned when they realize what the letters spell out...SAMI BRADY!!!

    Abe nods and then says Lucas doesn't have a single alibi for any of the rapes/murders and that they did not start until shortly after Sami's presumed death and adds there was a lull around the time Sami was found as there was no victims after that until Joelle. Kate thinks Lucas is being framed. Everyone agrees. Abe tells them all that whether that is the case or not, Lucas is in a whole lot of trouble. Mike goes to call Maggie so she can fill the others in as Marlena and Carrie comfort Sami and Will while a stunned Philip, Kate, Billie, Bill, and Jack look on as the scene fades to black.

    -Will is at the hospital as the doctor asks for proof that he is Will’s fiancee. He urges him to go in and ask Chelsea. However, Chelsea is unconscious so it has to wait. The doctor asks for Chelsea’s last name so they see if Will’s story checks out about Chelsea having no family left. Will (remembering that with the Benson’s dead Chelsea has no other family since she was adopted by them and doesn’t think Chelsea has had her last name changed legally yet) tells the doctor her name is Chelsea Benson. He goes to check out. While he waits, Will decides to check in with his parents.

    -Sami, Lucas, Carrie, and Austin are now at Sami’s place. They are waiting for more word from Bo, Roman, or the Salem PD about Will. Austin is comforting her which Lucas sees and is jealous of. He walks off to a corner to be alone as Carrie follows asking if something is wrong. He lies saying there is nothing wrong. Austin comes over and holds Carrie telling him he is here for her too. Lucas says to himself, “Yeah you are just here for everyone aren’t you.” Austin asks if he said something. Lucas says no and then wonders why no one gives a damn about him. Austin is his brother, Sami is Will’s mother, and Carrie is his friend yet no one even asks him how he is doing with everything that has happened. The phone rings and Sami picks up and says its Will. Lucas sits next to her as she puts the phone on speaker phone. Will says he is ok. Sami tells him about Mickey, Shawn Sr, and everything else that happened while he was MIA. Will is upset and says he wishes he could be there but can’t. He has a friend that needs him and doesn’t know when he will be back. Sami is worried but Will tells her that if she knew what he was doing she would understand. Lucas tells Will they trust him but they want him home now because he has school to worry about. Will says that this is serious and more important then school. He promises to call them at least once a day until he is home which he hopes to be soon. He says he has got to go and says he loves them both, even though sometimes he doesn’t show it towards Sami. Sami and Lucas say they love him as he hangs up and Sami gets up starts crying. Austin walks over to her and says it will be ok. Lucas goes over too but she won’t let go of Austin. Carrie thinks everyone should go home since its been a long night. Austin agrees. Lucas hugs Sami and says it will be ok. She then goes back to Austin as Lucas leaves with Carrie, clearly jealous that Sami is with Austin. Lucas notes that Carrie hasn’t been bothered by Austin being with Sami and asks her why. Carrie says she has her reasons and just wants to go to bed. Lucas says he is going out as Carrie asks again if something is wrong. Lucas lies again and says no, even though he is feeling more left out then ever. Will is gone, Mickey is dead, Austin has both Sami and Carrie’s attention, his family is a mess-he just feels alone and depressed. He leaves as Carrie remembers learning about Austin taking over High Style and wonder who Austin could do such a thing.

    -The doctor returns and tells Will that his story checked out-Chelsea has no family left. He goes to check on Chelsea and says he is going to prepare her for surgery. Will wonders how Chelsea will pay for it. Meanwhile, as the doctor goes in a cubicle, he comes face to face with Bart who is in a doctor’s disguise. He gives the doctor loads of money and tells him to give Chelsea all the medical care she needs and to not tell anyone that her or the young man is there or he will have to deal with the Dimera’s. The afraid doctor agrees and walks out to tell Will the surgery has been taken care of. Will then is given a envelope by a nurse that contains a wad of cash and a note saying to stay far away from Salem and that there will be more cash and whatever else is needed to live away from Salem provided for him and Chelsea. Will wonders who is doing this but reads the bottom of the note which says that if Chelsea and him return to Salem both their families will be destroyed and will suffer a fate worst then death. Will realizes he will just have to stay away from Salem. The note also says that everyone, including the police, that is searching for Chelsea will be taken care of. Will puts the envelope in his jacket and wonders what is going to happen now.

    -Max and Abby both talk about Chelsea. The hope she isn’t dead but can’t believe she may be responsible for starting this tragedy. They comfort each other and admit that despite everything they did care for Chelsea. Frankie and Bo discuss what just happened with Hope. Bo says that Hope is right when she says he and Billie let Chelsea get away with a lot but Hope pushed for her to go on the trip so she has blame too. Frankie tells Bo that no one really is too blame but Bo says that Hope won’t see it that way. Meanwhile, Jen and Hope are going through the same exact discussion, only from Hope’s point of view. Maggie and Caroline are walking the halls and can’t believe that Chelsea may be responsible.

    -Roman holds a crying Bonnie in his arms and says he is here for her. Bonnie praises Patrick as a good son that did get into trouble but always took care of his family unlike his father. Roman says that while he never really liked Patrick most of the time he seemed ok. Bonnie wants to go talk to Bo and Hope and find out who started the accident that killed Mickey and her son. Bonnie thanks Roman for comforting her but tells Roman that maybe now he should let his feelings out too. Roman says he is fine but Bonnie says he is not a good liar. They leave the stairwell.

    -Roman and Bonnie overhear what is being discussed with Hope, Jen, Maggie, and Caroline, She can’t believe it. Bo, Frankie, Max, and Abby join all of them. Jen and Frankie believe no one is at fault but agree that Chelsea was reckless. Max and Abby agree with that sentiment too. Hope, Maggie, and Caroline are all furious and so is Bonnie. They all tears into Bo for defending him. Roman does too saying that Bo let her act the same way he did when he was her age only this time the behavior went to far and ended up hurting many people and resulting in deaths, including the death of their father. Bo can’t believe that everyone is putting the blame for the whole tragedy, especially Shawn Sr’s death, on Chelsea and him and Billie for doing nothing about it. He admits that Billie and Him were soft but they wanted to make it up to Chelsea for all the lost years. Hope blames Kate too for spoiling Chelsea. Shawn arrives and learns what is going on and blames Chelsea too, as well as Bo and Billie for their parenting. Bo can’t believe this and runs off with Hope in pursuit of him. Shawn says goodbye to everyone and goes to check on Claire. Jen, Frankie, Max, and Abby decide to go home and asks Maggie and Caroline to call if they need anything. Frankie and Max hug Caroline, who tells them that they should have said goodbye to Shawn Sr’s body before. Frankie says that Max and him thought that the biological Brady’s should say goodbye. They will say goodbye at the funeral. Caroline says that they are real Brady’s. She takes them to the morgue to say goodbye to Shawn Sr and they tearfully do as Abby and Jen comfort them along with Caroline. Caroline goes back to Maggie who is blaming herself for sending Mickey and Shawn Sr out into the storm. Caroline says that it isn’t her fault. Between the storm and Chelsea being selfish and reckless, there was no way to predict what would happen. Really its no ones fault but the storm and Chelsea’s recklessness and disregard for everyone but herself didn’t help matter which is why she feels her son and Billie messed up, along with Kate, by always giving into her and letting her act that way. Maggie agrees but says that Alex could be blamed too since he was speeding trying to take Marlena away but all that doesn’t matter. It also doesn’t matter that it was probably meant to be. She can’t help feeling that if she had had enough sauce or had the staff working or didn’t send them out per trusting her instincts it would have never happened. Caroline embraces her and begs her not to do this to herself. She feels responsible too but knows that is the wrong frame of mind. Maggie says she is going home. Caroline asks if she wants her to come with her but Maggie refuses saying she will have to go home sometime to her lonely home. Later, we see both women go home alone and enter the Brady Pub and Maggie’s house. Caroline goes behind the bar and cries wondering how she will get by without her husband and feeling horrible about the two lies she told him-the one he knew and the one he didn’t. Maggie goes into the kitchen and remembers being attacked by the SSK. She remembers Mickey getting stabbed too and thinking that he may die with her or maybe that was the last time they would see each other since she would die. She cries that this time no one will come back from the dead. She lost so much time with him and he is gone and she is all alone. She breaks down and crumples to the kitchen floor.

    -Shawn is shocked when he sees Mimi on the floor. He tries to wake her as Belle comes back saying she was with her when it happened but went to get a doctor. They take Mimi to a cubicle to examine her. Shawn asks how it happened as Belle says they were arguing over him and she went too far and hurt Mimi saying she couldn’t have Shawn’s baby when she already has. Shawn gets angry with Belle and lashes out at her saying that what women who chooses to be with is not a concern right now. Claire’s heath is and now Mimi’s is too. He doesn’t want to worry about anything else. Belle agrees although hopeful she will get Shawn back. The doctor comes out and says they are gonna run some test. He says that Mimi told him that she has been feeling ill a lot and has had fainting spells and stomach pains. Shawn remembers her being ill but never anything else. He is worried and wants to go see her. Belle follows. He holds Mimi’s hand and asks if she is alright. Belle sees this and says she will go get Bonnie just so she can get out of the room before letting her emotions get the best of her. Roman is comforting Bonnie who blames Patrick’s involvement with Chelsea and Bo, Billie, and Kate’s awful parenting and grand-parenting for what happened. She says that if Chelsea is not dead she wants her punished. Roman says that its likely she died as well in the fire but no one is certain yet since no remains have been found. Belle arrives and tells both of them what happened. Roman goes with Bonnie to see Mimi saying that he will be there for her like she has been with him all night. Bonnie tells Mimi they will find out what is going on but, after hearing her symptoms, says to herself that she thinks she knows what is wrong but its impossible. There is no way Mimi could be in that condition. Bonnie keeps her guesses to herself and Mimi asks to be with Shawn alone. Shawn says for her not to worry about Belle right now. He is there for her. Mimi smiles and they hold hands as he kisses her forehead. Belle asks Bonnie what she was so upset about when she found her. Bonnie fills her in about Chelsea and Patrick most likely being dead and Chelsea’s car being the one that started the accident. Bonnie accidentally says her news too loud though and Mimi hears it and screams, “NO!!!!” She refuses to believe her brother is dead but Bonnie is forced to admit it. Mimi also can’t believe Chelsea’s role and issues blame much in the same way as Hope, Caroline, Roman, Bonnie, and Maggie. Shawn agrees saying his father, Kate, and Billie screwed up and that Chelsea’s behavior did all this. Mimi blames her involvement with Patrick and starts to get really upset. Everyone tries to calm her but she starts to grab her stomach and scream in pain. The doctor ushers everyone out as he tries to help her. Shawn blames Belle for upsetting Mimi again. Bonnie mentions its her fault too but Shawn says Belle asked and should have known better since it was something like that that cost Mimi Rex and messed up Mimi and Belle’s friendship. Belle apologizes as Shawn turns away from her and everyone hopes and prays Mimi will be ok.

    -Hope catches up with Bo in the ICU unit. They argue some more about Chelsea and the accident. Hope says she pushed for her to go on the trip but never would have had to push for it if Bo, Billie, and Kate hadn’t given into her. Bo can’t believe that Chelsea is being blamed for all this and, while there were some mistakes in raising Chelsea, he doesn’t think that was the whole reason for what happened. Hope just walks away saying that she is done trying to convince him. She bumps into a nurse and knows over a bunch of charts. Bo and Hope help pick them up and Hope notices a name on one of the charts. She is stunned and says, “Oh my God Bo. He’s here. I don’t believe it he is here.” Bo asks who is here as Hope asks the nurse to tell her what room to find the person in. The nurse is reluctant given security bit Hope shows her police badge and says she is Alice Horton’s granddaughter. The nurse gives her the room number. Hope goes there with Bo following her. They are stunned when they arrive at the room and see JT hooked up on life support and covered with bandages on his arm and head. Hope falls back into Bo’s arms and cries, “JT” as the screen fades to black.

    On the Next Days...

    Victor and Kate try to help Phillip. Roman and Bonnie have a fight. Lucas and Maggie fight temptation together. Billie learns about Chelsea and Patrick. JT causes more friction between Bo and Hope.

    HORTON HOUSE

    Maggie brings Hope home to be with her family. Doug asks about Lucas and Hope says that with the new evidence against him, he’s looking at some serious time. Julie says that Victor and Lucas’ lawyer won’t let that happen and Alice says she hopes not.

    Hope then sits down and says she has something to tell them all. As everyone is seated, she says that her and Bo are split up right now. Everyone is shocked and when Julie asks why, she explains her affair with Steve and what led up to it. She also admits that Chelsea is her child and is sorry she kept that secret for so long. Maggie says that this is a lot to take in and Hope realizes that. She just hopes her family can forgive her.

    Doug walks over and sits next to his little girl and hugs her, saying that he now sees why she was siding with Julie before. Alice tells Hope to look at her and, when she does, Alice says one thing....

    Alice: You and Bo have been through too much to end it now, dear. Trust in your love for each other.

    Hope listens to Alice as Doug rocks her back and forth. The scene then fades into....


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    In Kayla's room, Stephanie has just walked in. She sees Steve and Adrienne sitting on either side of Kayla and is unhappy to see Steve there. Adrienne shakes her head, hinting to Stephanie it's not the time to fight with her mother laying right there. Stephanie asks how she’s doing. Adrienne says there is no change. She then tells Steve and Stephanie that her and Justin talked and she will stay in Salem, by their side. Steve doesn’t want her to neglect her family and Adrienne says that her and Justin both agreed. He’s already back home with the boys anyway. Steve and Adrienne then walk out into the hallway and he says that the one thing he doesn’t want to do is put more pressure on Kayla or the baby.

    Adrienne says that is why she is there to help. Everything will be fine. Stephanie walks back out into the hallway and Adrienne says they should go see Frankie. Adrienne then winks at Steve and, as they leave, Steve re-enters the room.

    He sees Kayla laying there, quiet and helpless, and starts crying. He says that this is all his fault and he begs her to just wake up so that she can hopefully give him one more chance to prove how much he loves her......and how sorry he is. As Steve takes her hand and cries deeply, the scene shifts to..........

    Greta’s room. Victor sits by her bedside and just smiles at her. A few moments later, she finally wakes up. Victor is elated as doctors and nurses come in and check on her. As Greta asks a happy Victor if she can see Frankie........Caroline sits in front of a window to his room. Frankie hasn’t moved a muscle since he was brought in and Kim, who has joined her, asks if they should start considering bringing their priest over.

    Caroline looks at her and tells her she guesses the question needed to be asked. Max then walks up, asking if there has been any change. Abby walks up behind Max and hugs him, as everyone looks at Frankie and prays for a miracle.


    SALEM POLICE STATION

    In their cell, Roman asks how Lucas is holding up. Lucas says he’s got another day to sweat since his arraignment was postponed because of new evidence. As a guard tells Roman that he is being transferred to the state prison tomorrow, he also tells him he has a visitor. Roman excuses himself and, as Lucas plays another game of Solitaire......

    Roman is brought into the visitor’s room. He sits in front of the glass and waits. As he looks, he sees his visitor......and turns his head and laughs out loud. As his visitor sits down, the visitor waits for Roman to pick up his phone. Roman sits forward, picks up his phone and says....

    Roman: Well......nice to see you.
    Stefano: Likewise, Roman......especially behind bars. Prison orange seems to suit you, my friend.
    Roman: You !@#$%^&*]. My sister is fighting for her and her child’s life, my brother is fighting for his life, but you are here to gloat. Congrats, old man.
    Stefano: Thank you, my friend. You know......you were my favorite........and best Pawn. I hope what I trained you with will serve you well in prison.
    Roman: Oh, don’t worry about that, Stefano. Once I get out of here.......I'm coming after you. You haven’t heard the last of me.
    Stefano: Well.........I’ll have to tell the lovely Marlena that......one night, when we’re all alone.

    Roman stands up quickly and tells Stefano.........

    Roman: You stay the hell away from her! SHE’S MY WIFE!!!! DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT TOUCHING HER!!!
    Stefano: More useless threats. Well..........take care, my friend. And just remember one thing.
    Roman: What is that, you bastard?!

    As Stefano stands, he stares at Roman and, right before he hangs up the phone, tells him......

    Stefano: Don’t drop the soap!!!

    Stefano hangs up the phone as Roman bangs on the glass and, as Stefano laughs heartedly, the guards have to restrain Roman as they force him back to his cell.

    Stefano leaves and, as the scene shows him walking down the hallway, laughing all the way.......it slowly fades to black.

    OCTOBER 1, 2007: EPISODE # 340: WHAT LIES BENEATH PART 2


    DIMERA FAMILY HOME (TUSCANY, ITALY)

    Tony is still stunned after learning that Daphne had another child with Stefano. He is even more stunned that he is has to seek out his ex-wife, Liz Curtis, to learn the identity of the child and to fill in the rest of the blanks. Just then, the guard Tony knocked unconscious begins to slam on the door, along with another guard. Tony realizes he has to get out of there and that he has to reach Steve and Hope. He just hopes he isn't too late to save them from the gas. Tony goes over to the bedroom window and realizes it's the only way out. He pockets the two pieces of paper he found in the painting and climbs out the window.

    Meanwhile, Hope and Steve continue to lay in each other's arms. Hope struggles to stay awake and looks over at the pipe. She sees that the pieces of her blouse she tore off aren't working and the gas is filtering in quickly. She gets up and struggles to stay on her feet as she walks toward the pipe. She tries to position the fabric better in the pipe but realizes there is nothing she can do to stop the gas. She covers her mouth and goes back to Steve. She taps him gently on the shoulder and tells him that it's not looking good.

    Hope then notices that he doesn't seem to be breathing. She recalls that he breathed in alot more gas then her when it first started filtering in. She calls out his name repeatedly while also shaking him desperately, trying to wake him up. He doesn't stir and, as she checks his pulse, she realizes she has to do CPR. She gets dizzy and nearly passes out but recovers. She begins compressions and yells out to Steve:

    Hope: Don't you leave me like this! You hear me!! I can't lose you! I can't!!

    Hope continues CPR as the scene shifts to...



    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Marlena continues to break down in Barbara's arms, saying it's all her fault.

    Marlena (crying hysterically): I should've died that day!! Not my sister!! My poor sister!! My poor family!! All I bring is pain and and suffering to them!! I don't deserve them!! I don't deserve to be loved!!

    Barbara tells Marlena to relax and then decides she needs to bring her out of her hypnotic state. She tells Marlena to awaken when she counts to ten. She counts to ten and tells Marlena stirs. She stares at Barbara and asks what happened. Barbara fills her in, saying she took her through the events of the past year and all the guilt she feels over traumatic events she experienced that she feels led to pain and heartache for her family.

    Marlena asks Barbara what her professional opinion is. Barbara tells Marlena that she needs to realize that all the kidnappings and mind control incidents were not her fault and needs to move past them. She tells Marlena she also needs to forgive herself for Sam's death as that is the one traumatic event that seems to have started it all in her mind and seems to be where most of her guilt is stemming from. Barbara adds that she believes that is why Sam was the dominant personality when Marlena was stricken by her disorder. She tells Marlena she needs to forgive herself and move past all these traumatic events, especially Sam's death, or else she may never truly recover.

    Marlena contemplates Barbara's words as the scene shifts to...


    SALEM INN

    Forrest insists Sylvia has nothing to do with the mission and orders Miranda to keep her out of this. Miranda demands assurance that Forrest won't compromise the mission. Forrest assures he won't and that he is in this to complete the mission at hand. There is no other reason. Miranda still doesn't seem to buy it and says she will let it go on this day but will be watching him. She tells him she needs to go but she will keep in touch and warns him to keep his focus. She also tells him that if he feels he can't do this without looking at Abby and seeing Sylvia, then he needs to let her know so he can back out and they can find someone else. She will not let the mission become a failure because he still hasn't gotten over losing Sylvia. Forrest says he understands and that Miranda has nothing to worry about. Miranda coldly stares at him before saying she hopes he is right and then leaving the room.

    After she leaves, the phone rings. A frustrated Forrest wonders who else is going to try to ruin his day. He answers the phone in an huff and quickly realizes it's Abby and apologizes. Abby asks if everything is ok. Forrest says he is fine. He just needs some rest before leaving on the trip. Abby senses some upset in his voice and asks if he is sure he is alright. Forrest's frustration boils over as he lashes out at Abby, saying he is fine and just needs her to back off. A stunned Abby says she will leave him alone but is stopped before she can finish her sentence as Forrest apologizes. Forrest tells Abby he is just nervous about the trip and for her recovery. He wants her to be well and he also admits being a bit tired and having a headache.

    Abby says she understands and is sorry to have bothered him. Forrest tells her she was fine. She just caught him at a bad time. Abby smiles and tells him she had never heard him like that and it took her by surprise. Forrest tells her he is not usually like that. Abby tells him it's over and done with and that she looks forward to tomorrow. She was just calling to see when he was picking her up. Forrest tells her around 7:30AM since their flight is at 10:00AM. Abby says ok and that she will see him tomorrow. She orders him to get some rest and to feel better. Forrest thanks her before they both say goodnight and hang up.

    After hanging up, Abby wonders if there was more to Forrest lashing out at her then what he said. She then thinks she is over analyzing and returns to packing her things. Meanwhile, Forrest sits on the couch of his suite and looks at the picture in his wallet yet again, saying with tears in his eyes:

    Forrest: My, sweet Sylvia. Oh, how I miss you. I love you so much...so much (a tear steams down his face)...

    Forrest wipes his eyes with his handkerchief and continues to be fixated by the picture as the scene shifts to...


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Marlena admits to Barbara she isn't sure she can do all that. Barbara tells her it's the only way. There isn't much else she can do. The majority of it is up to Marlena know. She tells Marlena to do as she said and to continue to take her medication. She also wants to schedule another session. Marlena tells Barbara she will call her with a date and time. Barbara says she will hold her to that and tells her to make sure she remembers. Marlena promises and thanks Barbara for everything. Barbara smiles and embraces her, telling her to remember what she said and to try to relax and take care of herself. Marlena nods and says goodbye to Barbara. Barbara tells her the same as Marlena slowly leaves her office. Once outside Barbara's office, Marlena wipes tears from eyes and says:

    Marlena: I don't think I can do what you said, Barbara. I'm not sure I'm even ready or if I will ever be ready.

    Marlena then tries to collect herself and walks off as the scene shifts to...


    DIMERA FAMILY HOME (TUSCANY, ITALY)

    Tony climbs through another window on the lower level of the house and is now back inside. He looks out for any guards and can hear footsteps above him, which makes him realize he must hurry. He races down a long hallway, praying he isn't too late.

    Meanwhile, in the pit, Hope continues CPR and gets woozy, nearly falling backwards. Hope realizes she is becoming overcome with the gas and it's starting to affect her despite her covering her mouth with fabric from her blouse and pipe with fabric. It's no longer working and they are running out of time. Hope;s eyes fill with tears as she realizes Steve still doesn't have a pulse. She continues with CPR and then begins to lose hope. She breaks down in tears and pounds on Steve's chest with her fists, saying:

    Hope: No!! You can't do this to me!! Your not allowed to!! You said we were in this together, damnit!! Come on...don't do this!! Damnit!! Someone please help!! Help!!

    Just then, Hope hears Tony screaming her and Steve's names and calls out to him. The door is locked and Tony can't seem to get in so he searches for something to bust through the door. He races up and down a hallway until he opens a closet and finds a rusty old crowbar. Tony uses it and busts open the door. He then looks into the pit and apologizes that it took him so long. He asks if Steve is ok. Hope says he inhaled alot more gas and isn't waking up or breathing. She tells Tony to find a rope because they need to get out of there and into fresh air fast. Tony searches around him and then races back out into the hallway as a desperate Hope tells him to hurry.

    Hope bends down and puts her face closer to Steve's, begging him to hang in there. After a few moments, Tony returns with a bed sheet and some curtains and throws them down, asking Hope if they can combine them and make them long enough. She thinks they can and begins to tie them together. Tony tells her to tie the makeshift rope around Steve and he will pull him up. Hope just hopes the fabric is tough enough. Tony tells her they have no choice.

    After Hope has tied the bed sheet and curtains together, she ties the makeshift rope around Steve and makes sure it's tight. She tells Tony to pull him up and to hurry. Tony pulls him and, after a short struggle, manages to pull him up. Tony then sends the "rope" down to Hope and pulls her up with successfully with little struggling. Hope and Tony both kneel down by Steve and realize he is still not breathing. Hope asks Tony to help her with CPR.

    After a few minutes, Tony stops. Hope tells him he can't stop. Tony shakes his head as a tearful Hope says she isn't stopping. She isn't giving up on him. She won't give up on him. Tony notices the growing bond between Steve and Hope and Hope's desperation to keep him alive and for him not to leave her. Hope begs Steve not to leave her and to fight to come back to her and to all the people who love him and need him. Tony tells Hope it's no use. Just then, Steve begins to stir and smiles, saying:

    Steve (coughs and looks at Hope): Hey...what's all...(coughs)...the hoopla...
    Hope: Oh, thank God!! (embraces Steve) I don't know what I would've done if I lost you!

    Tony watches as Steve and Hope embrace each other, noticing the bond once again and saying to himself that they were always close but never like that. Tony then hears footsteps getting closer and tells Steve and Hope they have to get out of there now. Hope gets dizzy and Tony catches her. Tony tells her they need to get out to fresh air and need to leave the house now as the guards are closing in. Hope agrees.

    Hope and Tony both help Steve up and help him walk out of the room as the scene fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    OCTOBER 10, 2007: EPISODE #347: SNATCHED

    SALEM PLACE

    Caroline walks over to Alyson and tells her that the family will find a way for her to stay in Salem with Sam. She shouldn’t be worried about Nicole. Jean tells her that she believes Caroline. No need for her to leave town. Alyson says that if anything happened to her child........and then she gets upset and runs off. Jean excuses herself while she chases after her and Caroline turns her back for a moment to watch. Nicole stalks in the distance and, when she sees that Caroline is paying no attention, she runs over quickly......

    And snatches Sam up in an instant.

    As Nicole runs off with Sam, Caroline turns and sees the boy gone. She panics and calls out for him. Alyson and Jean run over, asking where Sam is. Caroline says she turned her back for a second and now he’s gone. Jean runs over to get security as Alyson and Caroline start running through the mall, looking for Sam. After a few moments, Nicole is spotted by Caroline a short distance away. Security runs up to her and stops her from leaving.

    Alyson and Jean then stomp up to the scene, demanding that the police get involved. And Caroline tells Nicole that she will press full charges on her for trying to kidnap her grandson. But, in a startling turn of events, Alyson says she will not press charges. Caroline and Jean turn and look at her with utter shock, with Jean saying.........

    Jean: HAVE YOU LOST YOUR [!@#$%^&*] MIND?!

    Alyson demands that everyone hear her out as she walks up to Nicole. She tells her in no uncertain terms that if she EVER lays one fingernail on her son again.........it will take a battalion of surgeons to remove her foot from Nicole’s ass. Nicole agrees to the terms, all the while thinking to herself that it isn’t over yet. When Jean asks if Alyson will stay in Salem now that Nicole knows what’s what, she agrees. Caroline then walks up to Nicole and tells her that she better listen to what was told to her.......or else. She tells Nicole she has no problem slapping the taste out of her mouth if need be and then walks off.

    Nicole watches as all three women leave with Sam, thinking to herself that it is time to teach the Brady's a lesson they won’t forget. She then turns and leaves in a huff.



    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Bo walks in looking at some papers. Victor and Roman walk in from outside and Victor tells him how proud he is of him. Bo looks up long enough to say that Victor has taught him a lot over the past year or so and he’s decided to apply it. Roman agrees, saying that if he wouldn’t have spent so damn long upholding the damn law.........his children might still be alive. Victor tells both men to come and have a seat as he explains to them both.........

    Victor: The sign of a true man is one who learns form his mistakes and protects his family. You think I don’t have regrets?
    Bo: Yeah, I know. But............Isabella wasn't killed by some !@#$%^&*] like Stefano or Orpheus.
    Roman: Bo’s right, Vic. Just like when I was accused of the Strangler murders.........I was on the run from the law. Mainly because of Stefano. It didn’t protect me then........and it damned sure didn’t protect Sami or Eric or Greta........or anyone else whose been hurt or killed during this.
    Victor: Which is why I have decided to strike like a cobra right at the throat of the bastards.
    Bo: And what does that mean?
    Victor: Stefano is so worried about Orpheus (Victor pours himself a brandy) that he can’t see straight. Now is the time to hit.........hard and fast.
    Roman: And I guess blowing up his house wasn’t enough.
    Victor: Not by a long shot, Roman.

    At that moment, Bo gets a phone call and excuses himself. After he leaves the study, Victor turns to Roman and proposes an idea..........

    Victor: Roman, I was wondering.........could you use one of those famous disguises of yours and get close to Stefano?
    Roman: Right in the snake pit, huh?
    Victor: Exactly.
    Roman: Yes. Yes, I believe I can.
    Victor: Good.

    As Victor and Roman talk, Bo tells Steve, whose on the phone, that they are making plans against Stefano. He should be a part of that. Steve waits for a moment before declining, saying that he has other things on his plate right now. Bo is quiet for a moment, wondering why Steve would turn this gig down, but he then tells Steve he understands. Steve says it won’t last much longer and then he’s all Bo’s. Bo gets another call on his cell and tells Steve he has to let him go but they’ll talk later.

    After Bo clicks over, Steve hangs up, telling Tony and Hope that everything is cool. Bo doesn’t suspect a thing. Hope tells Tony that it is no problem helping him with the DiMera files and also searching the net for clues to Liz's whereabouts. Hope explains she is using her police contacts too. Tony tells them thanks, saying that this is very dangerous work. Steve says they gave him their promise to help. Just then, Tony hears Stefano coming and races out of the secret room, telling the couple to continue working as he closes the door.

    Tony walks into the master study of Stefano's penthouse as Stefano asks him where he was off to just now. Tony covers, saying that he was just looking around the new place. Stefano smiles, saying he knows when he’s being lied to. Tony says that Stefano always did know him, especially when he had Tony and Andre duel over Anna all those years ago. Stefano says that is ancient history. He did what he felt he had to do, just like now. Tony asks what does that mean. Stefano says.........

    Stefano: You will see, my son.

    Stefano walks over to his wet bar and pours himself and Tony a drink. He asks Tony to celebrate with him as he takes out his cell phone. At that moment, Lincoln walks into the room, smiling. He says that the mission was accomplished and it was a complete success. Stefano asks if anyone was hurt and Lincoln says no. Everyone is fine.

    When Tony asks what’s going on, Stefano looks at him and smiles, saying once again.........

    Stefano: You will see, my son.

    The scene then shifts quickly back to the Kiriakis Mansion, as Bo comes running in, shocked. Victor and Roman both look at him as Victor asks what happened. After he catches his breath, Bo finally works up the nerve to say........

    Bo: You won’t believe this.
    Victor: Believe what, dammit?!
    Bo: I...........I just got a call from one of our men. Your takers, Victor............your oil tankers. Four of them...........went down, Victor. And a fifth is spilling oil into the gulf.

    Victor stares at Bo with utter shock as Roman says.......

    Roman: Do they know what happened?!
    Bo: Not yet. The investigation has started. We’re flying the crews in, they’ll make out reports. We’ll know much more later.

    Victor takes a step towards Bo, asking him in a quiet tone......

    Victor: Bo.........how much did we lose?

    Bo hands him the portfolio of the estimated cost. Victor opens it and staggers backwards. He then turns and looks off into space as he says..........

    Victor: Dear God.............Two hundred and sixty-one million dollars.........gone. Like that. And (he turns to face Bo and Roman) another two hundred and fifty million to clean up the spill?
    Bo: Yes. Yes, Victor.
    Victor: Who............WHO WAS THE BASTARD WHO DID THIS TO ME?!?!

    At that moment, Victor’s home phone rings. He activates the speaker, as a very familiar voice says........

    Stefano: Well............how’s my favorite oil man doing tonight?

    Victor looks at Roman and Bo and then turns back to the phone, saying........

    Victor: Good move. Damn good move, my friend.
    Stefano: The first of many, Victor. You see..........it’s time to..........even the odds, so to speak. You started this, Victor, and I intend to end it. Guess I’ll have to fill up my car with some other brand of oil since yours is floating in the gulf of Mexico. Pleasant dreams, my friend.

    Stefano laughs as Victor picks up the phone..........and smashes it on his desk.

    The scene then quickly shifts back to Stefano’s penthouse, as he once again turns his attention to Tony. He tells him that is what happens to men who cross him. So, Tony better not forget that, son or no son. He has once again proven who is master of this family........and anyone who crosses him will be dealt with. He then bids Tony a good evening as Stefano and Lincoln walk towards the dining room.

    Tony returns to the secret room and tells Steve and Hope that they need to find the information they need........and fast. Stefano has just took the stakes to the next level and they better find some answers or something to end this feud.......

    Before they all pay........with their lives. Steve and Hope look at each other and then at Tony.........

    As the scene freeze frames on his face and slowly fades to black.

    OCTOBER 11, 2007: EPISODE # 348: TAKING IT TO THE MAT


    CHEATIN HEART

    Nicole sits at the bar, drinking a martini. She thinks about what happened earlier with Caroline, Jean, and Alyson and says that she is sick of Caroline meddling. She is sick of all the Brady's acting as if they can do no wrong when they are hardly perfect. Nicole mentions how they judge her and ostracize her when they act horribly at times too. She looks at the pictures of Eric and Evan she has laying down by her drink on the bar and says, with tears in her eyes, that she has already lost them. She isn't going to lose anything else.

    She looks at the picture of Eric and tells him she knows he would want Samuel with her and not some woman he had a fling with. He knows she would give him all that he needs. She promises him she will have to resort to measures he wouldn't like but she doesn't care. Nicole knows he would want his family to understand where she is coming from and to learn a lesson and finally accept her. Nicole is confident that will happen but says she has to do this her way, even if she knows Eric would not condone it. She then wipes the tears from her eyes and says she must act soon and she will begin with Caroline's children as she lives through them. Nicole promises they will see what hypocrites they are and will wish they never treated her as they did. Nicole asks for a refill and then tells herself that, at the very least, Caroline and the Brady's will be distracted enough not to worry about her going after Samuel. The bartender gives her the refill she requested and Nicole raises her glass for a toast, saying:

    Nicole: To revenge and to getting everything that I want. Better late then never, I always say!

    Nicole then downs the martini and smiles evilly.


    UNVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Alice and Julie are visiting Lucas in his room. Alice encourages Lucas to have faith and assures him it will all work out. Frankie is working on his case and he has the support of the whole Horton family. Lucas thanks both her and Julie for coming. Julie says they were shocked when Maggie called them. They are just glad he is alright. Will then returns with some ice chips for his father. Lucas thanks him. Julie asks how he is holding up. Will says it's hard with mom not being around anymore but he knows she would want him to be strong and to take care of dad. Lucas and Will embrace.

    Meanwhile, outside the room, Doug watches the scene going on inside. Julie tells Alice they better get going as it's getting late. Alice agrees. Lucas asks if they would please take Will home. Will wants to stay with Lucas but Lucas tells him that visiting hours are over and he doesn't want him staying overnight in the hospital. Will doesn't want to let on that he is afraid to be alone so he agrees to go home. Julie says they will happily take Will home. Alice, Julie, and Will embrace Lucas and say goodbye to him, reminding him they are there for anything he needs. Lucas thanks them.

    On the way out, Julie tells Alice she is shocked that Doug didn't stop by. Word of what happened to Lucas was all over the news. Alice is sure he has a good reason. Julie thinks it's because he knew she would be there. Will then asks if that is Uncle Doug in the distance. Will points toward the elevators. Julie and Alice look and Julie can see it's Doug. She races after him as he boards an elevator. Julie tells Doug she has been looking for him. She doesn't know how to contact him or where he is and since thinks they should talk. She asks if he still plans on leaving Salem.

    Doug is silent. Julie begs him to talk to her. Doug says he can't and he isn't sure he ever can again. He tells her he took a chance and came by to see Lucas but he saw her there with Alice and Will. He didn't want to interrupt. Julie tells him he should have came in. Doug tells her didn't want any trouble and asks if she will wish Lucas the best and to tell him he will be in touch. Julie thinks he should tell him himself. Doug tells Julie he has to go. Julie begs him to just give her a few minutes but the elevator doors close.

    Julie returns to Alice and Will. Alice asks if she is ok. Julie looks at Will and fights back tears, not wanting to make his situation worse. She lies and says she is fine. Will and Julie then stand on both sides of Alice and help her walk off as Julie hides the fact she is wiping tears from her eyes.

    Meanwhile, Joelle enters her mother, Elma's, room. Elma is on a respirator and is conscious but doesn't seem able to move. Just then, Joey enters and asks his mother how grandma is. Joelle asks where he came from. Joey tells her Mrs. Ellsworth dropped him off. He was so worried and wanted to know what was happening. He asked a nurse where to find her. Joelle smiles and hugs him, saying grandma will be ok very soon. She is just sick and not able to move. Joelle explains that the machine is helping her to breathe and is making her better. Joelle promises both Joey and Elma that she is taking care of everything and that they will finally have the break they have been waiting for soon. She promises them they will all have a better life...soon.


    OLD, DILAPIDATED SALEM CLUB

    Maggie walks around the old, dusty, worn down Salem Club. She recalls the bustling environment it used to be as Max walks down the creaking stairs to enter the club, asking if it's safe to be there. Maggie smiles and nods, saying she just had some people here to inspect the building and survey it. They told her it would be alot of work to get the place up and running. Maggie then tells Max that everything is taken care of. She combined some money Mickey left her with some Victor gave her and they have the place now. She just needs to get the proper permits and such. She tells Victor is going to help her. Max tells her he will help finance the work that is needed to get the place back into shape. Maggie tells him that will be great and they can use some of her savings if there is a need.

    Maggie tells Max she is hopeful they can get some people to work on this so they can have a February opening. Max thinks that is being optimistic. Maggie agrees but thinks it's possible. She admits having alot on her plate living with Victor now. She also explains that she and Victor have had their idea for a Memorial Wing in Sami and Eric's honor approved by the hospital. She urges him not to tell anyone as it's a surprise for his family and they will unveil it at a Gala Event next month. Max thanks her and says that is great. He figures Victor is doing it for his mom, though. Maggie admits she knows that is part of it but it's also a way for him to make peace with the Brady's and to help them get past all the tragedy of this year.

    Maggie asks him how he is doing. Max says he is fine. He has a few buyers for the garage so he should have some money from that soon. He adds that it's weird with Abby not around. Maggie says she knows and admits being shocked she took off to be with friends right after her father came home. Max says he wondered about that too and the fact that she was leaving therapy for awhile. Max notes that Forrest is also MIA too. Maggie asks him what he is thinking and Max says nothing since they can't be together. Jack would never allow Abby to go with Forrest alone out of town, although Abby is of age.

    Maggie tells Max she is sure Abby will be back soon and that there is nothing to worry about. If there was, they would know it. She tells him to follow her. She wants to show him how she wants to layout the club around the bar in the center. Max nods and follows her as they make their way around the club, surveying what they have to work with.


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Lucas is almost asleep in his room when the sound of someone standing above him wakes him. He is shocked to see that it's Joelle and asks what she is doing. Lucas threatens to call security but Joelle says she comes in peace, at least this time. She just wanted to check on how he was doing. Lucas asks her how she thinks he is doing. He nearly died and then she sues him for sexual harassment. He asks why she is doing this. Joelle says she is just doing what she has to do and she is sorry it has to be this way. Lucas asks what that means.

    Joelle says she has to get back to her mother. Lucas asks her again what she meant by what she said. Tears stream down Joelle's face. She wipes them and turn turns around and tells Lucas she wishes him luck and that she will see him in court. Joelle leaves as a mysterious figure watches her as she walks to the elevator. The mysterious figure then looks in on a frustrated Lucas and then quickly moves away from Lucas's room and exits via the staircase.


    MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

    Abby exits the therapy room of the house. Dr. Dobbs comes out with her and tells her she did good and that they will pick up bright and early in the morning. Abby asks about her progress. Dr. Dobbs says her balance has improved and she is moving the legs so he is hopeful she will be walking, at least with the use of a crutches or a cane, soon. Abby thanks him for everything. Dr. Dobbs says it's what he does and bids her good night before walking off.

    Abby sees Forrest on the phone in the kitchen and can't help but wonder about the picture of the woman she found on the plane and about seeing him looking at it earlier and becoming emotional. Abby figures the woman must be a past love or maybe even a current one. She wonders if he could be talking to her right now. Abby wheels closer to the kitchen and hears Forrest talking. She is unaware that he is talking to Miranda.

    Forrest (on the phone to Miranda): Things are progressing quite well. I just have to wait for the perfect moment to act.
    Miranda: Have you even figured out a way to make her do it?
    Forrest: I told you I would.
    Miranda: That's reassuring. This is why I like mapping things out ahead. Forrest, I am warning you. You can't screw this up from your end because, if you do...
    Forrest: I know. I know what happens. It will all work out. We will complete the mission. Don't worry. No one has any clue what is going on. Abby is even in the dark and I am always around her.

    Abby hears this and is stunned.

    Forrest: It's all going well now that we are out of Salem. There is no one around to interfere.

    Forrest then turns and sees Abby right in front of him. Forrest interrupts Miranda and says he has to go. She asks if there is a problem. He lies and says there is nothing to worry about. He is just cooking something and needs both hands. Forrest then hangs up and asks Abby how long she has been standing there. Abby tells him long enough to know he is up to something and that all her friends and family were right. She asks Forrest what he wants with her. Forrest insists he just wants to help her and that he can explain.

    Abby wheels away to her room and locks herself in. She tells him she is calling the police. Forrest panics and yells for Dr. Dobbs. He orders him to disable the phone line. Dr. Dobbs asks why and Forrest tells him to just do it. Just as Abby gets through to 911, the phone goes dead. Forrest tells her he is not going to harm her and there is no need to call the police. He tells her to just come out. Abby refuses, saying she doesn't believe a word he says and the fact that he just disabled the phones in the house tells her he is dangerous. Forrest promises her that he is not but hears no response from Abby. He yells out to her and asks if she is ok as she lays her head on her bed and begins to cry, wondering why she didn't listen to everyone's warnings about Forrest.


    DEVERAUX HOUSE

    Jack arrives home and finds Billie sitting on the couch, reading a magazine. She tells him she has been expecting him.

    Jack: I've been looking all over for you.
    Billie: I doubt it.
    Jack: What's wrong? You seemed upset earlier when you called me.
    Billie: I'm fine, Jack. Don't worry.
    Jack: No, your not. I can tell. Your just saying that because you are a woman and you want me to figure all this out. Ok. Ok, I'll bite. Let me think. I left the toilet seat up again. Wait, no, we don't live together. Uh...
    Billie: Typical, Jack Deveraux. Making jokes at the most inopportune times.
    Jack: Ok. Whatever I did, I will make it up to you. How about we go out on that date? We can do it right now. Let's cash in that rain check and do it like we planned.
    Billie: I would like nothing more but alot has happened since this morning. Alex is your son.
    Jack: Right. I know. It's great. Much better then I thought it was going to go. We're already bonding and I thought for sure there would be tension and some awkward moments and...

    Billie puts her head down and turns away. Jack sees this and begins to realize what is going on.

    Jack: I just think...wait, is that what this is about? Are you jealous?
    Billie: Of you and Alex? No. I want you to bond with your son and have a relationship with him.
    Jack: Then, what's the problem?
    Billie: Are you really that...you know what, nevermind. Forget it. I think we should go on that date. I think it may help me feel better. At the very least, it will take my mind off things.
    Jack: Ok...well, let me go get a jacket. It's supposed to be a little chilly tonight.
    Billie: Ok. By the way, (smiling) what do you have in mind for this surprise date? (wrapping her arms around him)
    Jack: If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise.
    Billie: Hmm...hurry it up, Deveraux.

    Jack races out of the room and into the coat closet near the kitchen. He looks through the closet and realizes he left the coat he is looking for outside. He goes out to get it and sees Alex in the backyard. Alex turns. Jack asks what he is doing there. Alex says he just wanted to look at a real backyard, something he didn't have growing up. His mom took him from one penthouse or townhouse to another. He never had the simply family home with a white picket fence. Alex explains to Jack it's the simpler things in life that seem the most important to him. He never could get in to the upper class lifestyle. Jack smiles. Alex looks at Jack and tells him he wants this life. He wants what Jack has. Jack looks at him, puts his arm around him, smiles, and tells him it's his.

    Meanwhile, inside, Billie is touching up her makeup when the doorbell rings. Billie yells out to Jack that she will get it and is shocked when she opens the door to find Elizabeth. Billie asks what she is doing there. Elizabeth says that Alex and her are there to see Jack. Billie asks where Alex is. Elizabeth tells her he is out back. He wanted to look at the yard. Elizabeth explains that Alex has always been a sucker for the lesser things in life. The things commoners seem to love and adore. Elizabeth asks if Billie is going to invite her in. Billie rolls her eyes and motions for her to come in, whispering:

    Billie: Do I have a choice?
    Elizabeth: I beg your pardon.
    Billie: You know what. I'm not even going to pretend to like you. Elizabeth, what are you doing here? Really?You and Alex were just with Jack for most of the day.
    Elizabeth: We had more that must be discussed.
    Billie: Now? Couldn't it wait until tomorrow? You just saw him. What could you possibly...
    Elizabeth: Do I sense an attack of the green-eyed monster? That is the expression you Americans use, correct?
    Billie: I had you pegged from the minute I met you.
    Elizabeth: You mean when you were dying from a spider bite on a deserted island and my son and I saved that overly sized ass of yours?
    Billie: Ouch. Well, let's be honest, shall we? You only did that because Jack was there. It was your way of showing him you were still that sweet, innocent girl he fell in love with years ago but you have clearly changed, haven't you?
    Elizabeth: We all change, Billie. Years of leading the lonely life I have...I've been transformed by them. I'm no longer the same naive, rich girl I once was. I understand life's hardships and struggles. I know that nothing comes easy. You have to fight for it in life.
    Billie: And that is what you intend to do. You intend to use every trick in the book to reclaim Jack.
    Elizabeth: Well, you said you weren't going to lie or pretend so I will follow your example. Your right, I do intend on reclaiming the man I love. You need to learn, my dear, that first loves are hard to get out of one's systems and, almost always, first loves find their way back to one another.
    Billie: What mushy romance novel did you read that bullshit out of?
    Elizabeth: Call it what you want. I believe it. However, I also believe in making things happen. One can't wait for things to be handed to them so I intend on using what I have to snare Jack and bring him back to my loving, waiting arms, where he belongs.
    Billie: Including using your own son.
    Elizabeth: Whatever means possible. Whatever I have at my disposal, I will use. I will do whatever I must. I'm in this for the long haul.
    Billie: Well, so am I. You may have had him first but he doesn't want you. He wants his son. He wants to bond with him. Jack will see through this eventually. He isn't stupid, although that can be debated sometimes. I will not let you use the son you two share as a way to latch on to Jack and never him go. I will fight you at every turn.
    Elizabeth: It appears a war has begun then. I guess you and me are now officially enemies.
    Billie: I thought of you as an enemy the minute I saw you.
    Elizabeth: So be it. May the best woman win. (begins to snicker) Funny.
    Billie: What?
    Elizabeth: I think we both know I already rank well ahead of you in the "best woman" department. I guess it was a poor choice of words on my part. It is a shame you can't use the talents you inherited from your mother to help you hold on to Jack.
    Billie: You...
    Elizabeth: Too bad those whorish talents won't be of use to you (laughs).
    Billie: Bitch!

    Billie hauls off and slaps Elizabeth.

    Billie: You have alot of nerve judging me when you are using your own son to further your own agenda. You make me sick. I can't see any man having use for a piece of trash like you.
    Elizabeth: Look who's talking.

    Billie slaps Elizabeth again. Elizabeth announces she has had enough and tells Billie she is going to show her what she is really up against. Elizabeth then lunges for Billie, tackling her to the floor. Both women go at it as they fight, scratch, and claw on the floor of the living room as the scene freeze frames on them struggling with each other and then fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    OCTOBER 12, 2007: EPISODE #349: TAKING IT TO THE MAT PART 2

    UNDER THE RUINS OF THE DIMERA MANSION

    In the secret room, Hope decides to call the police contacts that she knows to see if they found out anything. Steve can't believe Stefano even has secret rooms in a penthouse. Tony says Stefano has secret rooms and passageways in all of his properties in the event he has to escape or hide something. Tony continues to look through the files and finds a notation from Liz Curtis in one of the documents. He tells Steve and Hope that this is the break they needed. Liz is in Indiana in they have to leave ASAP. They can't risk Stefano catching on before they learn the truth. Hope and Steve take off for their homes, saying that they will leave notes for Bo and Kayla, hoping they understand. Tony hopes they do as well because this running off is really making them look bad in their spouses’ eyes.


    STEFANO'S PENTHOUSE

    Stefano is riding on a stationary bike as Lincoln walks in. Stefano greets him, asking how the clean-up is going. Lincoln tells him that Victor is spending a fortune trying to clean up that spill and cover-up the attacks on his tankers. It won’t break him by no means but it will put a very serious dent in his wallet. Stefano smiles, saying that since Victor will now be busy, it’s time to turn their attention to Orpheus.

    Stefano then asks if things are where he wants them. Lincoln says that everything is almost in place. They move very, very soon. Stefano smiles once again, saying........

    Stefano: Good. Excellent work, my friend. That Orpheus won’t know what hit him when we strike. And Victor........he doesn’t suspect a thing?
    Lincoln: Not one thing. As far as he knows, I am one of his loyal men.
    Stefano: Good. Good. You know.........I’ve been letting way too much slide by, because of honor. He blows up my warehouse with my daughter in it.........and I let it go. He blows up my HOME..........and I let it go. Well........no more. The oil tankers were just a preview. Next time...............

    Victor will receive the main presentation. And Orpheus..........dear Orpheus. His hell.........is just beginning.

    The scene then fades into the...


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Victor is on the phone with the Governor of Texas, assuring him that every effort is being made to contain and clean up the spill. He thanks the Governor and tells him to give his best to his wife and children. As Victor hangs up, Roman walks in with a brandy and asks him.....

    Roman: How’s the clean-up going?
    Victor: We just started. The money I’m going to sink into this...........Stefano better be glad his sorry [!@#$%^&*] ass isn’t standing here right now.......or he would have a bullet in his head.
    Roman: Well, if any of us would have done that years ago........
    Victor: We wouldn’t be in this [!@#$%^&*] now, right?
    Roman: Yeah. You can say that.
    Victor: Well, then.........are you going to work with me once again..........and find out what that bastard is up to?
    Roman:Yeah. Why not?
    Victor: Good. And...........just to give you some help..........I asked this man to be your eyes and ears.

    A familiar man walks into the study(CLICK HERE FOR PIC OF THE MAN!!) and stands in front of Roman, saying.......

    Man: You’re looking well. You ready to ride on this?

    Roman looks at the gentleman, then at Victor, and then back at the gentleman before saying..........

    Roman: With guns blazing.

    All three men then walk out of the room, leaving to discuss plans.


    BO AND HOPE'S HOUSE

    Hope is about to run out of her house, Steve comes walking in with his bag. Hope asks if everything is alright, to which Steve replies yes. Steve then says that they don’t have the time to talk about it there. They’ll talk when they get on the plane. Hope agrees and picks up her bags as she and Steve run out the door to Salem Airport.

    A short time after, Bo comes home and calls out to Hope. When she doesn’t answer, he looks around for her, walking into the kitchen and then coming back into the bedroom. Kayla calls him on his cell phone, asking him if he got a note from Hope or Steve. Bo says no at first and then looks down on the end table to see the note Hope left him. Kayla wants to know what is going on with those two.

    As Bo reads the note, he wants to know the very same thing.


    DEVERAUX HOUSE

    The cat fight continues as Billie smacks Elizabeth hard across the face. It stops the fight for a few moments as Elizabeth rubs her face. Billie tells her to stay away from Jack, pointing a finger in her face. Elizabeth slaps the finger out of her face and smacks Billie hard. Billie holds her jaw, looks at Elizabeth with shock and anger, and then tackles her into some tables.

    Jack and Alex run into the place and pull both women apart, with Elizabeth yelling that Billie is jealous of her son and Jack. Billie yells at her, saying that’s a lie. Elizabeth says she doesn’t want Jack and Alex to bond. She then says that Billie started the fight in the first place. Alex does agree with his mother, saying that she is not violent like that. After a few moments of confusion, Jack sides with Elizabeth, telling Billie that she could have found a better way to handle the situation.

    Billie then says that since he’s already believing the trout mouth, lying bitch, he can have her, and storms off furiously. As Jack goes after her, Elizabeth looks at Alex.....

    And just smiles.

    When Alex walks over to her, he asks what is her game. Elizabeth just says that she is doing what is necessary for him and her. Outside, Jack catches up with Billie and asks why he has a problem with his son. Billie says she has no problem with him.......her problem is with Elizabeth. Jack says all that he is worried about is Alex and Billie jumps in, saying that she knows he still has feelings for Elizabeth and if he doesn’t watch out........

    She will sink her teeth into him. Billie turns and walks away, leaving a stunned Jack standing alone as the scene freeze frames on his face and slowly fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    LIZ IS BACK!!!
