  1. Ah, the good old days of Cliff and Nina...long before Peter Bergman became one of Y&R's most obnoxious actors.
  2. Is TG posing with a JZ muppet? What happened to her nose?
  3. Actually, IIRC, Marland's predecessors (Ralph Ellis and Eugenie Hunt?) started the story, but it was Marland who spun it around and more-or-less fixed it (at least, according to Waggett's Soap Opera Encyclopedia).
  4. I've read somewhere that this was during her stint as a TV "weather girl."
  5. Well, it wasn't everyday you saw Dr. Larry and Karen running around like young lovers in an action/adventure storyline. It does read like a good story, but I have to question whether it was appropriate for those particular characters.
  6. Doesn't he, though? I've seen him in several other shows, and I can't explain why, but he's one of those performers I pay attention to quite easily.
  7. I've no idea whether this has been posted already, but... Thanks go out to We Love Soaps TV for the uploads.
  8. If you're talking about Bob and Kim's wedding, then yes, I think so. I've read elsewhere that Susan Bedsow Horgan and Michael Laibson were writing the show at that time and were responsible for getting them back together.

  10. To this day, I don't know how LOVING or ABCD expected fans to care about a story with only one character (Ava) from "their show." To me, Jeremy Hunter always felt more like a visitor in LOVING's Corinth than an actual resident; and Faison? That was just one big WTF?.
  11. Ah, yes. The summer of '93. When Macauley West roamed the Earth.
  12. I concur! Having someone like CZ officiate your wedding is all kinds of awesome! Much happiness to you both!
  13. I still remember HOTEL MALIBU. The Stanleys (Jim and Dianne) were more involved in this one than the Lechowicks, and the tone of the show was lighter than SECOND CHANCES, too. Again, though, a promising series got cut short due to poor promotion on the part of the network.
  14. True, but I blame that more on casting than on the icky family dynamics. Then again, I'm also a fan of GUIDING LIGHT, where Reva "the Slut of Springfield" Shayne Lewis (x5?) literally slept her way through one family. Ergo, I'm probably just used to it, lol.
  15. Me neither. I remember reading story synopses from the early '70's that mention their dating (briefly, before Barbara left town) and thinking, "Huh? Really?".
  16. Yep. FOUR CORNERS had a terrific premise, I thought. Unfortunately, I don't think CBS was patient enough. It seems they had forgotten that it took awhile for DALLAS and KNOTS LANDING to become hits for their lineup. ETA: Just wanted to add that I recall to this day an end-of-episode moment where Ann-Margret's character tells another, "My son is not for sale." It was the kind of "Oh, SNAP!" moment that reminded me of Jacobs's other shows at their peak.
  17. SAME!!!
