  1. But she's a BAD BITCH.
  2. I did. Sorry, everyone (and cassadine).
  3. For me, the sad part is how JC's passing and the subsequent end of the Jill/Katherine feud has left a giant vacuum on Y&R's canvas. This show should have transitioned successfully from Jill vs. Katherine to Jill vs. Nina with Chance in the middle a L-O-N-G time ago. Instead, what have we got? Where is the center of Y&R now?
  4. I'm calling it as well (and I don't even watch the show). Tyler Perry doesn't know how to pay homage to anything except blatantly.
  5. It's times (and clips) like these that make me wish I had appreciated Y&R much better and much sooner. Who knew it wouldn't last?
  6. IKR? With few exceptions, regular (and I would argue even cable) TV has become such a wasteland. Which is ironic when you consider how many, many, many options there are nowadays. I almost feel like I must create a Black-centric soap to show Mr. Perry how it's really done.
  7. Simple answer: no one gave a !@#$%^&*]. And they didn't think viewers gave a !@#$%^&*] either. Plus, wherever they could save a buck, they thought, they did.
  8. Too bad none of those files contained information on previous storylines; and if they did, too bad no one on the writing staff bothered to consult them. Who knows? It might have prevented the writers from making so many continuity and historical mistakes in the last years.
  9. Leaking pertinent storyline details online might not have been the wisest decision, especially as it wasn't done anonymously. Nevertheless, posting a "WANTED" sign in the studio (with your SSN, no less) was OTT even for Goutman. He would have been better off contacting you and asking you politely not to leak any more information about the show.

I'd rather see: - Jane Pauley - A.B. Stoddard, "The Hill.com" associate editor (and daughter of former ABC President Brandon) - a third panelist with a similar, journalistic background but with a decidedly more liberal bent - Carol Leifer or Merrill Markoe, as I've mentioned upthread - a Black comedienne, such as Debra Wilson ("MADtv").
  11. Thanks, Carl! Nice interview! Brought back some nice memories of DAYS and ANOTHER WORLD!
  12. Frankly, IMO, the players' personal lives were always the weakest parts of the "L&O" franchise. Personal problems addressed within the series always come off (again, IMO) as contrived and half-hearted. I felt I learned more about the different people -- not just on "SVU," but on almost all the shows -- through how they handled the cases-of-the-week.
  13. Hers is an "and then the serial rapist captures, tortures, rapes and kills her" exit waiting to happen.
  14. Not that I ever wanted for Benson and Stabler to hook up (IMO, their romance would've been too distracting from the rest of the show) but it kind of pisses me off how Amaro and Rollins got to "do the do" in under three years and all Benson/Stabler 'shippers got in over a decade was a few lingering glances. I can't explain why it pisses me off, it just does. At the very least, though, Neal Baer should have given those fans a scene or two where Benson and Stabler come close, but one or the other pulls back and actively explains why it could never happen. As it was, Benson/Stabler 'shippers were just left hanging. Plus, maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't find Warren Leight to be all that fantastic as a writer and producer. Whenever he runs a series ("SVU," "Criminal Intent," "Lights Out"), the series tend to just...lay there. The characters might be well-drawn, but the stories always come across as dull, lacking any real "OMG!!!!" moments.

Monica Lewinsky?... ...??? Barbara, honey, I think you need to lie down for awhile.

Robin Roberts just re-upped with "Good Morning America," I think. ABC probably doesn't want to stretch her too thin.

I'm down for bringing in Jane Pauley to replace Babs and Whoopi as elder statesmanperson and moderator, respectively. But I'm not sure about bringing back Star Jones. Life after "The View" probably humbled her immensely; however, bad blood might still exist between her camp and theirs. What about the original "Elaine Benes," comedienne Carol Leifer, joining the panel? Or maybe Merrill Markoe, who'd been David Letterman's original HW (and longtime gf) back when he was on NBC?

I heard that as well and I don't buy it. Not that "The View" was ever daytime TV's answer to "The McLaughlin Group," but in seasons past, their political-oriented discussions often were a highlight for viewers, regardless of political affiliations. So, all of a sudden -- after, what, sixteen seasons -- these same viewers have decided they don't like the panel discussing politics? Bull. Spit.
  19. Judging from everyone's posts, I'm starting to think TP should attempt a different tactic and turn this show into a full-on parody of soaps, both daytime and prime-time. I mean, hell, you've already got people at home laughing their asses off. Might as well roll with it.
  20. It is a great photo, except...Tom already looks like he's fifty.
  21. Frankly, I just don't know which is worse: AH's limp-noodle take on Victoria, or JM's frat-boy take on Nick. And please do not get me started on the terrors that are Abby and Adam. Is there some way we could forget Victor Newman ever had children?
  22. Believe me, it isn't b/c AH is so good in that role, lol. She just fell through the old cracks and keeping her around is easier than getting off their collective and respective duffs to look for a replacement.
  23. I am so, so ready for a "Who Killed Luke Spencer?" mystery.
