  1. I think I said on here once that I thought Julia Barr might have made a good recast for Dee Stewart.
  2. Didn't the Dobsons attempt to bring back Natalie, though? From what I have read, her return wasn't successful, so that might be why subsequent HW's steered clear.
  3. I feel that's because they aged Tom so early and put him through so much (with Carol AND with Natalie) that it otherwise created unnecessary story baggage down the road. I don't know whether I've mentioned this before, but I always wanted Meg Bennett (ex-Julia, Y&R; ex-Liza, SFT) to be cast as a returning Natalie Bannon Triandos.

Settlers, immigrants, Sooners, squatters -- call 'em whatever you like, but the point is, the peeps who first arrived in what would become America weren't any more indigenous to this territory than the Mexicans and others who cross our borders, both legally and illegally, today.

She isn't the only one. She isn't the only one.

SMDH. Cos is just about the biggest pervert who ever breathed.
  7. Well, Kim IS a grown-ass woman. Also, Chip and Kim's wigs don't pay for themselves. OTOH, I just can't help but feel this could have been avoided simply by hiring Kim to work on another sitcom. Even one written/produced/directed/photographed/composed/lit/hair-, makeup-, set- and wardrobe-designed by Tyler Perry.
  8. You really want to share credit for that idea, Krista? Really?
  9. His parents probably have their hands full with his younger sisters, twins Kayshawna and Tayshawna, and getting them ready for their big audition on "America's Got Talent."
  10. How so? (Not being sarcastic, by the way. I'm genuinely curious as to how this news will affect Congress.)

Might this result in Michelle Collins being forced off "The View"? Probably not. But a boy can dream.

You know this show is done for when you welcome back Sherri Shepherd with open arms.

As usual, I cannot provide a link to the article -- but right now, on Entertainment Weekly online (ew.com), there is a story regarding "The Talk"'s Julie Chen and certain comments she made on Howard Stern's radio show. According to this story, Chen (who was appearing on Stern with Sharon Osbourne) and Barbara Walters attended the same public event recently; and at this conference or whatever, Baba floated the idea of returning to "The View" in order to salvage it. And according to Chen, pretty much every woman there told her not to do it, that "The View" was a sinking ship (her words) and that going back would do harm to Baba's public image and reputation. Now, I'm sure Chen has her own agendas in expressing these sentiments. Yet, on the OTHER hand, I can't help but agree with her. I think the risks of returning to "The View" now would be too high, and the rewards too few. Even if someone at ABC were to perform one of the greatest miracles ever and bring back not just Joy and maybe Baba but Meredith, Star, Lisa Ling, Elisabitch or any combinations thereof, I feel like the daytime talk landscape has changed so much in so short a period of time. Any work performed now might extend the show's life a year or two, but I don't think it'll be enough in the long run.

I only watched long enough to see Whoopi and Joy joke about the new host mugs. (They don't have any pictures on 'em in case more co-hosts are fired.). It was okay but the panel is not as esteemed as it once was. You could just tell Michelle, Raven and the other one do not have their [!@#$%^&*] together at all.

ABC Daytime must have broken the bank to get her to return. If so, then good for her AND for them. This show needs her. Badly.

The Professor...AKA the Smart One Who Still Couldn't Get Them Off the Damn Island.
  17. I hope Ana-Alicia hasn't closed the door completely on returning to acting. Any one of these teen- and young adult-obsessed series cluttering up the airwaves could use her as a devious mom or grandma.
  18. On the one hand, Julie Benz would have been more age-appropriate as Kendall. But, on the other hand, unless she had been willing to become a brunette, she would have looked all wrong as Erica Kane and Richard Fields' offspring.

I would LOVE to see Nicolle pop up on "CBS This Morning" as a special correspondent, especially now as we are gearing up for the next election season.
  20. Was it one of those "Aurora Teagarden" mysteries? Because, if it was, NO one is safe in those.

Joy Behar is so much better than this trash. Returning would be a downgrade of serious proportions.

The Flat Earth Girl and the Lesbian Punk Rocker Formerly Known As Olivia Kendall. That should be interesting.
  23. Not unless they wanted to change the name of the series to "Full Fashion House." But seriously. That's always what I couldn't stand about the original series. They never wanted to do anything even remotely controversial...or realistic. Even the episode about DJ's flirtation with eating disorder amounted to lots of treadmill running and skipping one meal. I mean, even Kimberly Drummond on "Diff'rent Strokes" got to inhale and then purge a whole damn cake, for God's sake!
  24. Honestly, I think a Latino woman would fit better in this kind of series than a Black woman would.

There are two things you absolutely do not do to your child under any circumstances. One is beat them with a scalding hot iron (looking at you, Linella Gordon). The other is drag them to a place like the Playboy mansion.
