  1. DAYS must have hired the anti-social college students who made chopped salad of GL's Peapack episodes.
  2. Who knows? If she had been there for ATWT's actual finale, she might've made the character's pairing with Roger Howarth's Paul actually palatable! I'm just saying! Let me be clear: I've nothing against KMH. If she had been hired to play Samantha, for example, or even been tapped to be a Betsy recast, she would've been wonderful. But she was not Emily Stewart. Not by a long shot.
  3. Well, then, he succeeded. Honestly, you could have paired Melanie Smith with Telly from "Sesame Street" and it would've been FIRE. Smith's Emily was LOADED with sexual energy, and any writer would have bowed down and thanked the soap and other gods for her. Letting her slip through their fingers, IMO, was right up there with RYAN'S HOPE/ABC's decision to fire Sarah Felder (Siobhan Ryan Novak #1) in most boneheaded casting moves of all time.
  4. I just feel like, once again, DAYS has missed the point. It shouldn't be about who Gwen might be, but about when everyone in Salem will find out, and how it will impact their lives. Keeping us as in the dark as the characters is just another one of those "black glove mysteries" that I cannot stand.
  5. Someone actually thought to make a movie about a herpes outbreak? In the Hamptons? LOL!!
  6. Her best ones, IMO, were "The Bride in Black" (a rare opportunity to see SL in a story penned by Claire Labine), "Lady Mobster" and "Mafia Princess." The storytelling in all three was very strong. "The Woman Who Sinned" was...okay; good, in a campy sort of way. Same goes for "French Silk." "Double Edge," however, was soooooo lethargic. Truly, what makes her TV movies so special is the fact that she can display chemistry with so many men: not just all the men she was paired with on AMC, but also David Soul, Roscoe Born, Lee Horsley, Robert Urich, etc. In fact, I still get chills when I think about when she co-hosted the Daytime Emmys with Drake Hogestyn (John, DAYS). It's insane those two have never worked together anywhere else.
  7. Why is this show cutting scenes AT ALL? We know DAYS' budget is less than zero, so why waste money like that? I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Missy Reeves can STAY gone.
  8. Is there a BTS reason as to why Will and Marlena don't interact much on-screen? Because, if anything, most of his family-related scenes SHOULD be with her.
  9. Damn, this one hurts: https://deadline.com/2020/12/adolfo-shabba-doo-quinones-dead-dance-pioneer-breakin-star-was-65-1234662999/
  10. And if a recast just isn't possible...?
  11. That's what I was afraid of. Ron has waited too long to reveal (to the audience, if not to the other characters) what Gwen is up to. You don't have to tell the audience who so-and-so is and what they're up to right away, but if you keep the viewers in the dark for too long, you risk their not caring if/when the truth does come out.
  12. So, we still don't know WHY Gwen hates the Deveraux family so much? Well. All I can say is, if and when Gwen (and Ron) DOES reveal all, it better be a doozy, or else this stall will be totally pointless.
  13. KMH's Emily was just so different from what she'd been when Melanie Smith still playing her. No way could you have imagined KMH's Emily hooking up with James Stenbeck or Paul Ryan.
  14. Because, KL rarely made any bones about being a soap opera; and soaps are always on the low end of the TV totem pole.
  15. Yep. I'm sorry for his loved ones, and I'm praying for the healthcare workers who tended to him at the last, but AFAIC, he had only himself to blame.
  16. Oh, that's sad to hear as well, @Faulkner. Levinson & Link were an amazing writing team -- not just on crime shows, but also TV movies like "My Sweet Charlie," "The Execution of Private Slovik" and "That Certain Summer."
  17. I apologize if this has been posted already. "Lean on Me" was such a good movie. https://deadline.com/2020/12/joe-clark-dead-lean-on-me-principal-morgan-freeman-1234662672/
  18. For some reason, I can't see Susan Flannery being so helpless in the face of that fire. But, then again, I did spend years watching her practically sumo-wrestle the entire B&B cast.
  19. I still feel like I'm about to watch an episode of "Sally Jessy Raphael" whenever I hear that theme again.
  20. Kristian Alfonso (and her hair) were STUNNING in that "Full House" clip. She also looked hella good when she guest-starred on an episode of "Who's the Boss?" as someone from Tony's old neighborhood.
  21. It was a trial run for the [!@#$%^&*] Dee would have to play decades later on DAYS. Speaking of Reefer Woman and Coke Spoon Girl, pay close (but not TOO close) attention to the future soap legend playing Cleopatra in this episode. (God, I hope that's not how Jane Elliot runs IRL.) ETA: Oh, snap. Did Pharaoh (aka Peter Mark Richman, ex-C.C., SB) really break out the hourglass in that one scene there? LMAO!
  22. "Just Pants" was also PASSIONS' costume designer's single instruction on how to dress the men. Before she saved the world from Mikkos Cassadine's weather machine, she was a nasty teen who gave America's Favorite Tomboy, Kristy McNichol, a hard-ass time on "Family".
