I love how NYC can still crank out hilarious catch phrases and remarks just by being themselves.

And I'm totally cool with that. I'd actually love for her to have as much presence as Danielle has on New Jersey, even WITH talking heads. Re: NJ, as mentioned up thread, I am one who does NOT think Margaret is suffering the second season curse at all. We haven't had a real breakout newbie from New Jersey since Teresa's family joined in season 3. Yeah, Dolores is okay, but Margaret has personality and humor. Her one lil "mail order bride" comment was nothing to get all pissy about. Instead, it feels like Jennifer's "outrage" against Margaret and Jackie is producer-coaxed. Like "hey, you gotta cause conflict with your co-stars or else you won't last another season." Very forced, IMO. OMG the Countess... Everyone looks great.

"The Conners" Discussion Thread
Nah, quite the opposite. Once season 5 hit, you had Roseanne & Jackie steady at the diner. Eventually by end of 5th, you had Dan working at the city garage. I'm talking about plots that squarely focus on money struggles. So much of these new episodes focus on it. Look at the rundown of season 6 by comparison... Darlene moving to college... Jackie sleeping with Fred... Jackie knocked up by Fred while Roseanne suddenly wanted a baby of her own... schmoozing to Florence Henderson (mother of "Elijah Minelli") for restaurant products at cost... finding old marijuana and smoking it ("is this the sink? am I shrinking?") ... Phyllis Zimmer having lunch with Dan and Roseanne getting pissed... NuBecky and Mark returning while Dan has a highschool football reunion... DJ crashing their car and Roseanne spanking him... DJ and Darlene outsmarting Roseanne when DJ is skipping school... the gay bar episode with Murielle Hemmingway locking lips with Roseanne... okay enough of recapping season 6. You get the point. Them struggling was a reason why they were in the situations they were in (not being able to afford Becky's dress for the dance; Roseanne sweeping hair at the salon, etc.), but not the plot itself.

I liked this past week's show, but I wish they'd take the focus off the constant struggle of money / jobs / bills / medical needs. The original was never this heavy about it ALL the time. They had plenty of other things they'd joke about, fight about, etc.

Atta girl Margaret! Usurp Melissa's spot as the important lead.

I like that their Christmas tree and decorations are still up, haha. I don't know if it's because they're airing these out of order of how they filmed them, or if they're just subtly saying the family is too lazy to take it all down right away.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
To be fair, it was one of the first things (levitating). She first levitated on Christmas Eve 1994. The show ended on that note and picked up the next episode with her still levitating. She didn't do it again until around May when they all walked in on her doing it (haha, that sounds funny) - John, Kristen, Stefano, Tony... right after John found Kristen on the rooftop of the penthouse building.

Oh man, that's pretty funny. I think it's around Season 3, judging from the hair, makeup etc.

I'm in agreement with all things New Jersey. This is one of their best seasons in a loooong time, but it is weird not having Danielle talking heads just to try to understand the crazy that goes on inside her stretched head. And yes, Jennifer is all sorts of irrelevant and uninteresting. I still like Dolores, but she's riding too hard for Teresa's famb-il-y. Jackie is a strong new addition, and Margaret continues to be full of win. I didn't mind the Debbie Downer comment(s) about the rain; it was Danielle's over-the-top offended reaction that was too much. Danielle and her man have already split, right?

I felt the same while watching. Their old-school trailer trash is stopping in for a visit, plus we get to see plenty of LVP. And of course, the forever fan favorite Camille Donatacci Grammer! Of course, after the past few seasons, we fear a letdown, yet there's always a sparkle to BH that draws me in.

Queer As Folk Reboot Bravo Bound
Hush, lol. I said that because the Gentry bar closed over 10 years ago when I was just a wee lil baby gay

Even though I'm only 35, I still wish the Gentry was there instead of Scarlet... one lowkey piano bar was nice amidst all the chaos.

I don't watch VR but I'm glad to hear this footage is airing before RHOBH. Those alley cats are going to look terrible going after her for petty nonsense (P.S. I'd be pissed at Dorit's twat move too, dumping off a puppy like that)

Queer As Folk Reboot Bravo Bound
Watch Andy Cohen play Brian Kinney. I'll check it out. If it's anything of the caliber similar to Bravo's current scripted show, Dirty John (starring Golden Globe nominee Connie Britton), then I'm all in. I'd be interested in a "new generation" depicting life in 2019 and beyond, with the originals making cameos or supportive roles in their original characters. They're the old guard now, remembering how things "used to be," versus being the up and coming 30-year-old crowd nearly 20 years ago.

FX Pose - **Spoliers if you're not up to date**
Loved it! Hubby was watching it and I stumbled onto it about half-way in and immediately binge-watched the rest. Can't wait for season two which will fast-forward to 1990 right after Madonna's "Vogue" goes mainstream.

Cheap is NOT having it! I think the OC reunion was a success as well. It seems Kelly's hatred of Vicki has only worsened since the reunion was filmed. It could possibly make for good reality-TV, but if she's threatening not to return if Vicki is still there, I'm sorry gurl but that means filming will NOT resume for you in February... I don't think Gina is that bad. Both she and Emily got into the mix and created rifts that could easily spill over into a sophomore season for them. I could also see Bravo not wishing to pursue it and looking for a different angle. Considering there was no splashes made with Meghan, Peggy and to a lesser extent Lydia, I would say the odds of Gina and Emily staying are pretty good. NJ: Good Christ, Jennifer is so annoying and thirsty to look fabulous on camera it's not even funny.

LOL at Ramona... to know her is to love her... Can't wait for Season 11 of NYC! Side note: Anyone watching "Dirty John?" It's surprisingly good. It's one of those that you kinda laugh at (the ditzy-sounding daughters; some of the absurdities) but it's also good. I love Connie Britton's aloof, dizzy, naive portrayal of this woman. (P.S. Is she still doing 9-1-1 too?)

Agreed with all. Don't touch NYC. Save for a few youngsters that didn't pan out and Carole's recent exodus, the current core cast has remained intact for 4 solid years with promise already for this new one coming up. While I think BH and ATL need(ed) a cast shakeup, I hope they don't solely focus on the younger crowd. As I said recently, Real Housewives in its current state is like the daytime soaps as they neared the end of the 1990's. So here we are: 1999, Nielsen ratings freefalling, so we're beefing up the youth cast in hopes of attracting new, young viewers that'll become loyal fans for years to come. Here comes The Last Blast crowd; Jesse Metcalfe and the no-talent teens of Harmony, New England; a SORASed Marah and Shayne; MacKenzie and SORASed Billy; Liz, Lucky, Emily & whomever else was on GH; SORASed Rick and his babysitter Amber, etc. etc.

Looking back...Primetime Ratings from the 80's
Well there we have it. The Bradys delivered! haha thanks for posting!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm two episodes behind on OC, but I checked the ratings, and their finale only got 1.1 million viewers. Ouch. I should check back on how they trended this past year, because in years past they'd always be somewhere around 1.6 - 1.9 throughout the season. Side Note: I have zero problem watching Kelly go bye-bye. Was she better and provide more material than a Peggy, Meghan, or even Lydia? Absolutely! Do I like her? Nah. But I echo the "bring back Lizzie" sentiment, along with Heather. I know some of us hold onto our hard-ons for Lizzie, but she had confidence, beauty, and the balls to go up against Tamra which is something I'd love to see return.
