  1. So many great and not-so-great ideas (NO to Jill) for New York. I do think they finally found their groove this season and I almost feel like we could've had another few weeks worth of episodes before the season finale, but apparently they had already filmed so much already that the 3 veterans refused to shoot anymore! I think if they had just been honest and realistic right off the bat about how they introduced the 3 newbies and not pretended like they had been there all along, it would've made the transition easier. It would be quite interesting to see a former castmember brought back as a full-time Housewife again. I nominate Alex! I think Sonja made it past the major cast purge because she's BFF's with Ramona and they weren't gonna get rid of *that* bundle of drama! Otherwise, Sonja's pretty blah. I find her to be too aloof and shallow otherwise. I think LuAnn's good for being a [!@#$%^&*] stirrer, but her own individual storylines are also blah (or completely made up fluff just to have a story). I would guess that Ramona, Heather, and Carole are safe for Season 5. Sonja is mostly safe for being Ramona's bestie, LuAnn might have reason to be concerned, and Aviva probably wishes she could get the eff outta there! Does anyone know what the ratings were like for NYC in previous seasons? Was it ever up there in New Jersey territory in viewership? I'm guessing it must've been one of their bigger hits at one point to have Bethenny be popular enough to get a spin-off.
  2. Agreed on all accounts. You know you've effed up when some 73% vote Team Ramona vs. Team Aviva on Watch What Happens Live. I love me my Pinot Singer, but I know she's off her rockers, so to see the audience shift like that is pretty telling. I have no doubt she is the blind item that people mentioned about a new New York castmember who regrets joining the show.
  3. Wow, I didn't even think of those lost opportunities, other than the Amanda/Sydney roommates scenario. Definitely could've had some awkward interaction with Kimberly apologizing to Jo for the babynapping. And also could've showcased Alison being caught in the middle of loyalties towards Jo or Jane. And I'm still not a fan of how they changed Sydney from being a formidable vixen to a cartoonish go-go girl who talks like she's pretending to be mouse.
  4. Ugh, not surprised. You know they'll be vying for a spot on Season 5.
  5. Have you seen the promo where Beverly Hills is freezing over while the ladies are walking by? So awesome! Looks very well-polished and glamourous. Can't wait for Beverly Hills & Atlanta to return!
  6. Jacqueline's dumbass thought Teresa was accusing her of setting Melissa up. No, she was accusing her of setting it up to make Teresa look like the bad guy. And she did. And it worked.
  7. Agreed. They could get rid of all 4 and just keep Teresa and start with a new Jersey group and I'd be just fine with that. I agree that this all seemed like a Teresa set-up, not a Melissa set-up. Sadly, it worked. Really sad/pathetic that a RH producer had to get their ass involved in the drama, yet it won't be addressed onscreen.
  8. Let's see, we have 6 Sundays to go before ATL premieres. We have Jersey's season finale this Sunday, then we could have as many as 3 parts to the reunion if they squeeze that much out of it, plus a potential "Lost Footage" special. Then the last Sunday is just a few days before Halloween so maybe they'll take a week off. I think she made a song. (Good grief) We'll always have that to remember her by
  9. I read that too, though I don't remember confirmation that she'd be back full-time for season 6. I'm guessing this will be Kim and NeNe's last season, as their 5 season contract will be up (or am I imagining that 5-season-contract thing?) and they're both ready to move on. I would think that her salary would be reduced this season for that very reason that she didn't film much and didn't participate as much. If I were the other ladies, I would protest to that, especially since she's the 2nd highest paid lady there.
  10. The new BH woman is named Yolanda Hadid. Kenya Moore is one of ATL's new ladies, right? Not sure who the woman next to NeNe is. I thought Rudy from The Cosby Show was joining? Is that her?
  11. Where's Atlanta's Kim? Did they downgrade her to friend-of-the-Housewives?? No Camille in BH, boo...
  12. Thank goodness. She was insufferable. There's fun crazy (like NJ's Danielle) and stupid crazy. She was just too dumb and ignorant to be entertaining.
  13. It did seem awfully contrived and set up by Bravo, no doubt. Whether Teresa is innocent or not (and supposedly, we'll learn the truth of the matter next week), she definitely covered her bases in looking innocent. Whatever the case turns out to be, Kim D looks more than willing to play the game and stir the pot for the sake of causing drama (and getting airtime, no matter how bad she looks... figuratively and literally). Yesterday, they replayed the Posche fashion show from the early part of season 3 when Melissa and Kathy were still the newbies, and boy, they were practically salivating on camera at the fact that they were a part of the show. From chatting with the likes of Kim G (the 55 year old who dresses like an 18-year-old prostitute) to acting like a total diva (hi, Melissa!) when strutting on the runway for the fashion show, you could tell these 2 wannabes were loving their newfound limelight. Kim D... Posche fashion... kind of takes me back to the good ol' days of season 2 when Danielle was the big thorn in everyone's side. Sigh, good times. I'm hoping that was the last supper we'll see of the Manzo clan, as well as a final wrap-up of Ashley and the relationship with mama Jacqueline. These 2 sourpusses (Caroline, Jacq) need to be replaced come season 5. Jacqueline was even a total buzzkill on last night's WWHL. Meanwhile, Lauren, a.k.a. the Meg Griffin of the Manzo family, is becoming a Caroline-in-training, which does not look good on her. I hear Lauren even appears in the reunion and goes off on Teresa.
  14. Sarah stayed behind in Aremid after everyone left town in March of 1996. She was the daughter of Uncle Lou, the man who ran the pub in Aremid. I would think she was older than 18-19 since she took an interest in Jack.
  15. I agree with you on that, however, New Jersey has completely relied on their fame for any and all type of storyline. From cookbooks to book signings to magazine covers to magazine quotes, it's just a bit too much. If it wasn't for Teresa's fame, Jacqueline would have zero camera time ever since the day Ashlee's dumb ass left home.
  16. Glad that NYC is gaining viewers... this past Monday's episode was on fire! Great comedy from looney-tunes Ramona and Sonja, snarky comments from Carole and Holla!, and skanky shenanegins with The Countess! Great enjoyable episode all throughout. And next week, Aviva sees Ramona in a whole new light... dun, dun, dun!!! The New Jersey fight was just ridiculous. Eric said it best about Kathy; she was following wherever the cool crowd was going. Jacqueline is a total wimp, "sleeping" through the fight. Caroline is so stubborn, deciding what is and what isn't a genuine apology. Bitch, get a life, I'd say to her. What was really awkward was how the families were stepping into the fire, first the husbands, then the Manzo spawns. I have to say, I think EVERYONE is wrong (yes, even Teresa), including Bravo, for making the tabloid magazines such a huge part of the storyline. This show is supposed to be about their lives, not about their fame that has stemmed from the very TV show we're watching. Like Dina said, "for some, it used to be a show about their lives. Now, their lives have become the show." So true. I find it especially famewhore hungry at the idea that Melissa had this whole "On Display" song picked out and autotuned sung, BEFORE she was even on television. That was a part of season 3's antics. She was "on display" in the public eye before the show even started airing?? Wishful thinking, lady... SO glad we FINALLY get to see the Dina episode next week!!! If Bravo wants blockbuster ratings (and if both ladies could be coaxed into returning), they should bring out Dina and Danielle Staub at some point during the Season Four Reunion to clear the air about certain matters. I just want Danielle's crazyass back onscreen one more time
  17. She is embracing it; she did a photo shoot with her grandbaby and did the article. It's alright to make up cutesie names, better than denying their existance altogether the way Sheree tried to pass off her twentysomething daughter as a friend in the 1st season (apparently Sheree didn't realize that a little something called the Internet exists...)
  18. I thought I read they shot 4 vacations this season. So if I'm remembering correctly, this is vacation spot No. 3? The previews look fan-frickin-tastic. The new ladies are finally beginning to hold their ground against the veterans and it's starting to balance out. Can't wait to see how it all falls apart comes together....
  19. That. Is. Hilarious. LOL I'm not a big Basketball Wives fan, the hubby is, but I know the main players of Tami, Evelyn, etc. Perfect statement for Teresa to use at Kathy (and anyone to use at ATL's Sheree last season)
  20. When I watched Aviva on WWHL a couple weeks back, she looks mortified and uncomfortable. I wonder how she feels about this whole Real Housewives thing now that she's in the thick of it all. Carole was cool as a cucumber on her WWHL appearance, but like Antoyne said, she stays away from the drama which will do her no favors next year when casting for season six. Ramona, Ramona, so delusional and mostly wrong, but God bless her, ya just gotta love her insanity. Sonja was all types of wrong, too, with the Heather situation. Sonja is making all these demands and is so ungrateful, I really hope she sees how self-absorbed she was in watching this episode. (Sonja is a blah take-her-or-leave-her character for me anyways, so I don't *really* care). I just want to see the switch when Aviva is no longer up Ramona's ass. "CALM DOWN!" Good crazy stuff it looks to be.
  21. Omigod, Caroline is nothing but one big blob of misery. I swear she was thisclose to saying Teresa planned to injure her foot for sympathy. C'mon, you just KNOW that was on the tip of her tongue. She's such a sourpuss. And calling Lauren an a--hole? I'm on Lauren's side on this. It's just weird that Caroline defends her gay & alcoholic sons no matter what, but Lauren is the fat overly emotional a--hole. Something ain't right with this bunch. I wonder if Lauren is jealous that Greg gets to sleep in Albie's bed? Then there's Jacqueline. One minute, putting up this argument that Teresa's being fake but has no examples to back it up, claims she's done with Teresa, and then literally 2 seconds later starts melting into tears. She's just a mess. Maybe she realizes she'll have no story and no camera time if she "breaks up" with Teresa. Good golly Miss Molly, get us to that damn Posche fashion show and wrap up this season!
  22. I like the expression on her face in the red dress. It's quintessential NeNe, like in the opening of Celebrity Apprentice. She looks nice in the fireplace photo too. But yeah, that purple pants photo looks like it was warped by someone who's a beginner at Photoshopping.
  23. We ordered Netflix for a couple months specifically to watch the 7th season of Melrose. Now that it's out on DVD, of *course* we'll be getting it to complete our collection... but no rush, since we just watched it and it's the least interesting season of the series.
  24. I agree that NYC is a lot lighter and fun now, and I look forward to watching it every week, as opposed to Jersey where it's heavy with negativity. It really is a downer when there's SO much hatred and bitterness. That's why I'm hoping/expecting a drastic overhaul next season on Jersey, just like they did with NYC. NYC had a bumpy start, and yeah maybe they could've done a few things different with their casting choices, but overall it was a necessary change and it's starting to pay off. Hoping the ratings will reflect that soon.
