  1. Yep, the Tomas actor is pretty damn awful. Casting made some bad decisions. That "So you're a virgin" talk was so bad. Why have George be so dumb -- giving Dani the security code? I hate that kind of writing. Part of the mistake here isn't even the actor. Why have him still in the hospital? And walking around an IV? For what??? He would've been released after the concussion check. Instead we get Ashley (apparently with little nursing to do) meeting with Andre and his camera by the front desk. Why would Andre hang there? Yeah, I know, he likes Ashley. Sorry, the whole thing is awkward as hell.
  2. That's where I am with this. I don't think Johnny's reaction was self-centered or that it ignored the trauma his mother endured. It all seemed like a pretty natural response, in my opinion. I thought Carson Boatman did a nice job with the material.
  3. -- KKL won't leave. At this poinT in her life, my guess is that this is just a paycheck to her. I'm sure she's given up on hoping for better Brooke story. -- So the day after her pardon, Luna looks like an influencer who spent all day shopping on Rodeo Drive and getting her hair and nails done? -- Carter just hands over the company because his "victories are hollow"? LOL Now he can go back to being the company "brother" who's nowhere near the inner circle. -- Were we supposed to feel something when Carter handed the stapler to Eric? Jesus. -- Do I care about Hope? No.
  4. There is no storyline in "Traci deserves to be happy." This gives Beth Maitland something to play. I'm OK with it.
  5. We saw some good things this week, but having your Friday show spend so much time on Charlotte's return is not one of them.
  6. I'm going to disagree. Creating a poor family to balance the Duprees would have been the typical soap cliche. When it's done, it ends up with the families mixing and everyone has money anyway. Look at the other soaps. Even if we don't see the wealth on screen because of budget cuts (lack of and small sets, no maids and servants and assistants, etc.), we're still supposed to believe they're worth a ton of money and are wealthy. That's true on Y&R, on GH, on BOLD, and on DAYS. The only question is who's wealthier. So why can't BTG be about messy and wealthy Black people? You have people who don't make a lot of money, but why do they have to be from one core family? I don't think they do. I don't need to see an entire family that struggles to buy groceries. I want BTG to do its thing. So far, I'm liking it.
  7. Yeah, that was odd to me. I'm glad there was a lot to look at, because the dialogue in the Nicole testimonials was really generic and cliche. Very few specifics about any accomplishments. -- Had to LOL at Dani being the MC, so soon after hitting the national news for threatening to kill her ex at his wedding. -- Would love to have seen Anita eating at Orphey Gene's, keeping her gown and cleavage clean. -- I'm getting used to the Martin actor, and I do like his looks (and build). He's pretty despicable, though, and I still find it ridiculous that he's thinking of running for president. -- I'm content to enjoy Leslie and whatever damage she creates. Why worry about the show ruining the villain character and making her "too much"? That makes no sense to me. -- Overall? A strong soapy hour. Disagree completely.
  8. Exactly. I read an interview yesterday. The guy was a GH fan when he was in college. On the set of Golden Bachelor, he asked them if they could hook him up with a GH cameo. Sid he loved it so much he hopes they'll have him back. He was beyond awful.
  9. GH should worry, but I continue to want GH to get better and stay on the air. I don'T want BTG to put them out of business. Honestly, Y&R and B&B should be as concerned as GH. That gap between them and BTG got smaller in the second week. Who knows what will happen?
  10. A lot of police power and money was spent on getting Charlotte back with her mother. The actor playing Marco is very good -- the complete opposite of what we got yesterday with the Golden Bachelor reject who stunk up the place (and who wants to return!)
  11. I mentioned this before, and I agree. GATES seems to want to separate itself from the other soaps, and I don't think it works. Yeah, I know. Your suggestion was that Nicole be killed off. I did not distort what you said, sis. And calm down? Honey, I was calmed down when I wrote that post. You should see me when I'm amped.
  12. -- I see no sign of improvement yet. -- The kids are too old, but they're decent actors, so I'll go with it. This show has a lot of age problems. Hard to understand the thinking. -- Many have complained about Derek, but for me, Ashley is no better. Just vanilla lameness in every respect, and there's no way Andre should be interested in her boring ass. -- Derek being delivered to the hospital by another fireman and not by EMTs was hilarious. And he gets a room right by the front desk? LOL -- Eva is getting so attahed to Miss Nicole. Mama Silk Press is not gonna be happy.
  13. You cannot be serious. That gambling set is weak. Looks like a backroom in a rundown building. I'm not sold on Lindstrom either. I can't see a big time player/mobster being interested in this REALLY dumb doctor. Agreed. Sex on a stick.
  14. This is really disappointing, although why should we surprised DAYS would take the easy and cheap way out? Ron's stories are the problem. He wasn't writing the dialogue, so how does that get better? I thought we were done with Carlivati in April. Now we have more MONTHS of his garbage?
  15. Javi is cute as hell and has a rockin' body, but it's all wasted with Leo. There's no chemistry there. None. Hearing Javi mention Leo's "extravagant" accommodations at the Salem Inn was laughable. That place is a frickin dump and looks like cockroaches have set up a camp.
  16. Having Aiden walk through the room and out the front door just isn't enough, though. GH has yet to make Aiden a real character. It's a missed opportunity. I also think it's a miss to have Laura interrupt Liz and Lucky. We've seen that happen so many times before , and I think it's a soap cliche that's tired. I think we've waited long enough.
  17. It's like they're punking Kimberlin Brown. Of course, I guess I could say the same about every actor on this slop of a show.
  18. Yeah, that had me howling -- and then Sheila called Luna a bad seed. I mean, seriously? So bad, although I guess that's better than watching Finn emote. Don Diamont should sue Brad Bell. If you hired a writer to decimate a character, this is what you'd get. It was, but why the hell was Poppy so bright and chipper when she walked into Li's office? There's no way she should have ANY "good mood" vibes considering all she knows. Not just a crime -- multiple murders. It's just another signal to ignore any and all plot developments on this show, because they can be wiped away in seconds without consequences. At least now maybe we'll be done with that sickening cry face on Luna. Maybe she'll have time to get her hair cut, because I hate that, too.
  19. And he was absolutely terrible. That's one of the worst cameos I've seen in forever, and my mouth was open at how awful all of it was. Why not give work to a REAL actor instead of doing this -- something that adds nothing to the show? This kind of bad stunt casting adds no viewers. All it does it make me stare at the screen and wonder how this ever made it to air. The guy gave line readings that could not have been worse while having a fakeass smile plastered to his face. Sorry, that was horrific and embarrassing.
  20. Let's face it, in recent years, DAYS has been hit and miss with Billy Flynn. He's had some good periods and good material, but he's also had LONG periods of next to nothing. I don't blame him at all for leaving.
  21. I cannot believe anyone wants to see Nicole off the show. No one is killing it more than Daphne Duplaix, and you want to kill her off? Just as I'm against recasts at this point, I'm also against killing off major characters because thy can supposedly kickstart a lot of story. Just let these characters do their own kickstarting. I cringed at that. I really can't decide what the writers are going for there. Do they want to remind us of great Civil Rights moments? Or do they want us to see how delusional the Duprees are?
  22. Yeah, Body & Soul did a number on their numbers.
  23. Hate to disappoint you, but that ain't happening. None of it. LOL
  24. Billy Flynn is really good, and this is a major coup for Y&R -- as well as a big loss for DAYS. I'll miss his scenes with Susan Seaforth Hayes. Billy on BTG as Derek (as some have suggested)? No. The character is minor, and I can't see Flynn taking that role.
  25. Yikes. The show already looks like Budget Cuts Central, and I can't imagine it getting any worse. DAYS is almost always in Peacock's Top 10 streaming shows for the day. If that's not enough to save it, I don't know what to say. Honestly, I'd rather see it leave the air than to get any worse.
