  1. Brooke to Ridge: "I'm still your Logan. Please come back to me." ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME??? KKL cried as she said those lines. She HAD to be crying because of the complete lack of respect shown her character.
  2. Such a terrible choice, and I have to believe there was a way to avoid this. Huge error. Guy Wilson actually did a good job as Lucky, so I don't blame him. This is on Frank. I think they succeeded in making Aiden look younger, but they also made him look a lot less hot. Agree about the Anna/Jason scenes going on too long. And why was Jason still in handcuffs? Mac with the migraine was played out after the first two scenes with him, too. Chase? I like his voice, so I was OK with the singing, but not with Brook Lynn acting so SHOCKED that he was on stage. Best part of the show for me? Dante and Lulu. I think those scenes worked.
  3. I love the excitement surrounding all of this. Yes, the actors' enthusiasm, and also the excitement and even joy we're all feeling at getting something new. This also extends to production -- the writers, the directors, the executive producer. I can feel their energy and drive in making BTG special. It also reinforces my feeling that head writers need to change on the other soaps -- before their writing becomes staid and boring and lacking that fire. Likewise, an executive producer shouldn't be around "forever." New directors should be brought in to keep things fresh.
  4. Speaking of budget, on yesterday's special, they mentioned using 70s R&B music on the show. I wonder if they're actually going to license real hIts.
  5. Um....I think these writers and producers and cast members know that. They know how important that is. No one is saying that Black history will be the focus of storylines.
  6. I will never NOT love that promo! It's a finger snap for the ages!
  7. Today's BTG episode is up on CBS.com! It's listed as S01E0.
  8. My take on Lauralee Bell is that her dad gave her way too much to do in her early years. I don't think she was bad as much as someone made too central to the show. But now? I think she's become a good, solid actor. I'd rather see her back on Y&R more than at least a half dozen other characters we see regularly.
  9. Today's LOL moment: Ridge telling Carter "You have no morals."
  10. OK, finally firgured it out. When I checked the Xfinity/Comcast grid last week, The 2-3 PM slot was marked "Bold & the Beautiful." I set it to record, but hadn't checked "repeat episodes." Only later -- this weekend or today -- did the grid update to list "BTG: Welcome to the Neighborhood" from 2-2:30. I did set that to record on my DVR.
  11. Yep. I had to make sure I was decording the repeat episodes of B&B so I can get the special episodes the rest of the week.
  12. -- I hope CBS puts today's special up on the website, because my Xfinity didn't record. The grid shows only "Bold & the Beautiful," for the hour, and although I did set it to record, it was set for only NEW episodes -- and that was marked as a repeat. UGH. -- Tracker and Watson both aired BTG promos during last night's episodes. Tracker is the #1 most watched primetime show at the moment, so that was great to see.
  13. I think we're supposed to see Doug 3 as younger than that and see Holly as older, making them closer in age. I agree with you, though. The age gap is too obvious for the way they're written. Yep to all of that. It's hard to believe what a fail their story has been. RC put a rootable couple together and has given them almost nothing. And no, "I want a baby" doesn't solve anything.
  14. Cady might be a better fit for BTG than she was on DAYS, where I never really liked her as Jennifer. CM is better at playing larger than life characters.
  15. I wanted that, too. I hope Griffith is giving something to Audra with this Holden storyline, because I haven't enjoyed watching her become Nate's good girl. Her edges weren't just softened, they were filed off. Honestly, I think the show is in really bad shape at the moment. -- The best thing for Nick and Sharon would be to reunite them, but all we get is a Valentine's Day dream. -- Billy and Sally? Don't care. Throw in Phyllis? Don't care. There's nothing to care about. Last week we heard Billy acquired all the funding he needs. FOR WHAT? For a company who's only purpose is to overtake Newman? Daniel was hired and they don't even know what he's going to do. -- Kyle and Claire? Boring af. Don't care that Summer wants Kyle back. -- Chelsea and Adam? Don't care. There are no stakes in any of these relationships. None.
  16. Agree with you completely. What do people expect of Rory Gibson when he was given nothing but mopey and depressed to play? The writing for him could not have been worse. The show failed the actor. I don't know anyone who could save that writing.
  17. You're exactly right about them, and it's why they need some conflict -- a real story -- in their lives, and I don't mean "He cheated on me but he really didn't."
  18. Good point. It's as if two different writing teams are working on separate stories and never talk to each other. It feels like Bell has written Brooke out of fear -- that giving her what you suggested (and that she deserves) would somehow ruin her for good. Never mind that he redeems human garbage like Sheila and Luna over and over. Brooke Logan is one of daytime's saddest stories. My problem is that the show TELLS us that Ridge and Carter are like brothers and never SHOWS us. They show up in a scene and one of them announces "You're like my brother." It doesn't work for me.
  19. I wonder if the show decided to SORAS Sophia a few years for plotline reasons. If they're going to do the adoption story with Johnny and Chanel, they should move nuSophia in with them -- and have Sophia become attracted to Johnny. I need something other than the "I'll give you my baby" stuff.
  20. -- Shirtless Johnny to open the show was a treat. And that booty! -- NuSophia looks a lot older to me than the exiting actress.
  21. The ending of today's show was as bad as the rest with Carter almost crying at his desk when Ridge walked in -- the Ridge who shouldn't be anywhere on the grounds. And did Carter break that Valentine's Day jewelry monstrosity into pieces? I couldn't tell what the hell I was watching. I will add this. If we're going to criticize acting, then LSV needs to be included on the "He's Been Terrible" list.
  22. That line is directly from the episode. And what company drops a jewelry line ON Valentine's Day and not in the month leading up to Valentine's Day? We don't get to see fashion shows and jewelry drops any more. Instead we get people looking at iPads and screaming "Look at the numbers! We're a hit!"
  23. Brooke to Carter: "It's Valentine's Day, and you and I are without the person that we love -- Ridge." This sh_it gets worse every day.
  24. -- Molly wore a winter coat. Why was she acting like she was naked in a blizzard? That chem test argument was so bad. And Cody couldn't just yell for help instead of throwing his jeans? -- Before Cyrus is killed, I want him to kill the PI. That stuff could not be worse, and seeing Isaiah coddling the dog? Jesus. Meanwhile, the PI needs help taking care of her dog, even though she's walking around like someone faking a neck injury. -- I thought that Lulu and Kristina scene might go somewhere, but it ended -- suddenly -- when Lulu got a phone call. That ended any chance the scene would be impactful. I guess it was running over 20 seconds so Frank cut it.
