Another day, another embarrassing episode. -- I should thank BOLD for my laughs of the day. Those hospital scenes were hilarious! The dialogue and the "performances" by the doctor and nurses were priceless. I have never seen chest compressions done that lightly, nor have I ever seen such a clueless operation. I am glad Liam was able to have the doctor in his room for his entire "coma" and was there to tell him "We're giving you the best care!" when he woke up. I'm also glad JMW got to look so cute in her short skirt and boots while she wailed at Liam's bedside. -- Steffy immediately thought about her most romantic moments while at Liam's side. Who does this? And all this time, she didn't have a single minute to text or call her husband or anyone else. -- Carter has to be the biggest, lamest wimp on daytime. His responses about Hope in front of Ridge were beyond weak. What a garbage character.

I'd be good with this. Honestly, the show needs to do a MUCH better job of showing us that Andre has camera skills. The photos he takes are nothing special -- and worse. Some of it looks like absolute trash (see that framed collage of photos he gifted Ashley). These people have money. Why do so many photos in their houses and offices look like Shutterfly rejects?

I co-sign this 😂 I'm willing to keep Derek on the show just to look at him in tight clothes. Did you see him in those jeans when Andre came over for dinner? Derek looks good in clothes. The show actually did him dirty in the first episode when they had him shirtless in that unsexy apron. THANK YOU for this! I think I just manifested it!

ALL of this is an improvement over what we're getting. This is a great point. There's no reason Smitty wouldn't have time to do journalism while at home.

You nailed it with your analysis of the entire Brooke situation and storyline. I have nothing to add. For me, Ronn Moss "fit" Ridge better, but he's an absolutely horrible actor -- one of the worst EVER on daytime. He's also a colossal POS as a human being, so I'm not sorry he's gone. That being said, Thorsten Kaye is not Ridge and will never be. Is he a better actor than Moss? Uh...that's an awfully low bar, so it's not worth discussing. I do not think TK deserved his two Lead Actor Daytime Emmys, either. That alone shows why the Daytime Emmys are a joke. Kaye looks like he's in pain most of the time. I have a feeling he hates the storylines given to Ridge, and that he's there for a paycheck.

Yes, I meant Andre. I've made this kind of mistake 3 times in the past few weeks, and I have to slow down and proofread before hitting submit. Sorry, that makes no sense unless you're going to call everything we post "a waste of time." We all know the showrunners have to give us a product to applaud, and continuously. But the truth is that a few people here HAVE been calling for the show to fail since the beginning -- and there's nothing wrong with pointing that out. It's not a waste of time. We've been reading your posts on The BTG threads for months. You have a track record, and we know where you stand. Sure seems like deflection to me.

I don't either. If Eileen Davidson returned, I'd be fine with it, but I'm done with Stacy Haiduk.

We all know who on this board wants BTG to bomb. I am not one of those people, although I know when I complain about things, I seem to side with the "I want BTG to bomb" group. I've applauded this show from the first announcement, and I think MVJ is a television legend and icon to get this off the ground. That is a singular, special achievement. That being said.... I'm just not the guy who overlooks stuff that is bad or really bad. I know all about the first month and even first year kinks, but in the meantime, I'll point out what I think isn't working. I'm actually surprised that so many people are pointing out elements that aren't working and that could be better. I was worried that we'd be stuck with only comments about how fire Anita is and that Shanice is special behind that nurses' desk. I hear others mention we're building for a strong May sweeps, but I don't want to wait that long. I can live without a WOW cliffhanger on a Friday, but please spare me from one with Vanessa and Joey. I am really concerned about some stories, though, and the Andre/Ashley/Derek story is an example. I don't know what the fck is going on there, because it is absolutely terrible. I would mock the hell out of it on ANY soap, so I'm not giving BTG a pass on it. That triangle has never made sense from day one, and although the actors get some blame, the writing gets more. These three -- and that includes Andre -- never felt real, never seemed genuine. Instead, the show has done things making them seem even weirder. We have no idea why Andre is interested in Ashley, nor why she's interested in him. Their conversations have never been anything but dry and empty. Those documentary scenes on Friday should have either been reshot or cut entirely. A high school TV production team could have done a better job. Using the area around the nurses' desk for those interviews was the worst of soap opera. IT made no sense, and it's appalling that someone in production didn't stop any of it. Does anyone there want us to respect Andre as a photographer and as a documentarian? Because his dialogue was downright awful. I was embarrassed for the actor. I was embarrassed for the guy playing Derek, too. Don't we already know he's not in the 160 IQ club? Do we have to paint him as a complete lunkhead who can't answer a question? Then there's Basic Ashley -- the greatest nurse who ever lived, apparently -- who has NOTHING to do at that hospital except walk around the nurses' desk. They're not even trying. As I've already said, there wasn't a second of usable footage that Derek shot. You mean no one filming those scenes knew that? I don't expect Hamlet every day, but we all deserve better than that. I'm still watching every day, and I want it to succeed. I just need them to clean up this really bad stuff, which I don't want to become a regular thing.

I hyped this show for a few weeks, but wow....this week was not great, and today was just bad, in my opinion. A half dozen things happened that I would mock like crazy on the other soaps. -- When Chelsea and Kat showed Dani their purse creation, Dani looked at it for 5 seconds and then called it a masterpiece. Huh? I want this show to do better on stuff like that. -- Derek showed some chemistry and natural acting with Hayley. Maybe it's time to get him away from Basic Ashley. -- Hayley had to leave her takeout dinner with Bill to go back to Orphey's for BISCUITS? Are you kidding me? -- The hospital scenes were downright EMBARRASSING. Andre is a respected photographer, and yet he sets up those interviews right next to the nurses' station? And has a plain white wall behind the interviewees with an ugly potted plant beside them? They have to be punking us with that. -- And Andre's interviewing skills are even worse. He didn't ask one decent question for that "documentary." There was zero footage that anyone would want to see. Worst of all, he sent Ashley to save Derek's interview -- as if that was any worse than anyone else's. The whole thing was a total disaster and made me feel embarrassed for the show.

Halfway through today's show. Could this be any more low energy? And I am so sick of characters moving from Crimson Lights to the GCAC to Society and back. They're not even trying with these sets.

For as many falls as Liam has had over the years, Scott Clifton should be better at it. The image of him falling will never not be funny.

I must say I enjoy LMAO at the "Joss is a WSB Agent" story. The girl is so good that she accomplished all her training for an elite spy agency in about a month, with no previous experience or knowledge or training. Even better, she gets to do her first assignment in Port Charles! And Vaughan is her backup! Keep the laughs coming, Frank!

I agree. We also got our hopes up when episode 1 started with the Emotions' Best of My Love. I hoped for an occasional real hit, but I don't think we're getting it. -- Naomi with no office is a major fail, and I also have a problem with all of these meetings taking place regardless. Yeah, I know, soap opera. If Naomi and Bill hashed out an agreement BTS, we wouldn't have the women get excited about any agreement. But why didn't Naomi say that contract Bill drew up could be a good starting point? Why not close those loopholes she talked about? Makes no sense to me. -- Joey is a decent looking guy, but is he really "fine," as Vanessa calls him? Girl, you've been riding Diego, so I doubt that Joey is fine. I wish I agreed, but I don't. I believe they could work at a law firm, but I'm not seeing powerhouses. Not one of them saw any flaw in that agreement Bill offered them. That's another thing I'm not seeing. I think Vanessa is over Doug completely.

-- I won't defend Liam, but WTF with $Bill telling Liam that he's left destruction in his wake with his relationships??? Talk about pot meeting kettle. The guy is a master of projection. The only way that scene works is if Liam fires back about how $Bill treated Katie, Brooke, et. al. Instead we got a heart attack scene with Liam collapsing to the floor? Are you kidding me? -- Deacon wants Hope to move in next door to him. Are you kidding me with this? -- Brooke and Katie discussing how messed up Hope is in her job and relationships? Are you kidding me with this?

Could the killer be old lady Rita, who EJ hired to keep track of Rafe, etc.?

Frank spends his days getting new sets built. I saw Lizz in the preview. I still think it's a big mistake to putt away from that story for days. I'm worried about what it says regarding the Ric character. This isn't a spoiler, because I know nothing, but I worry that this show doesn't value Rick Hearst the way they should.

-- Broken record time, but WAY too much Sonny on this show. Too many days a week, too many scenes, too much dialogue. It's not working, and no one cares. -- As I've said, Marco and Lucas have chemistry, but some of that conversation today was just bizarre. Just seemed really weird for guys who haven't been on a single date together. -- Brad has always veered into weasel category, but now he's become insufferably weasel. -- Why would Joss report on Vaughan to Brennan right in front of Vaughan? Makes no sense. Regardless, I think this is nothing more than a test to see if she'll report him, and that she'll be rewarded with her WSB credentials because of this nonsense. -- Chris McKenna has already lost weight since starting as Brennan, and he's looking good. I hope Daniel Cosgrove gets the memo. He was so hot back in the day. -- Another day without follow up on Ric and Elizabeth? Ugh.
