  1. So true. Their hypocrisy is on another level. When Anita called Ted a coward because he used Bill as a fixer, I almost choked on my Ritz. And Dani calling Ted worse than Bill as a husband because Bill never pretended to be a good person? Then why stay with him for decades and continue to kiss up to him, Dani? I was glad when Bill told Anita he wouldn't be her punching bag. Not for me. I can think of 100 other actors who would have smoking hot chemistry with LB. Lindstrom does not. I see zero chemistry. None. Joey isn't sexy or scary. -- Mona was awesome today. -- Why was Eva playing cards in the back room of the casino? -- Can they make Anita any more sanctimonious and self-righteous? -- Dani said Anita had Ted shook. LOL. Really? No. But I see what you're trying to do. This is a SOAP OPERA. Characters HAVE to make mistakes and sin and screw up and cheat. That's the deal. I understand the concern that we have 2 leading Black men who have cheated on their wives. I do. But I also understand that this is SOAPS 101. Are we going to hear complaints every time a Black character messes up???
  2. This show is miles better under the new writers. It's really a condemnation of Carlivati, because he had the characters and history to write good soap. Instead, he turned it into a joke and a farce. I've heard some people says DAYS is now "too talky." Miss me with that stupid analysis.
  3. -- That scene was a mess because of Sheila. Why would Bill go To that pizza dump? And why would he tolerate Sheila sitting at his table for even 5 seconds? -- Also a mess? Liam's dialogue. Telling $Bill how much he admires and respects him was hilarious! Then it went on! "Your presence, your guidance and influence...you made me a man. You made me THIS man." Jesus.
  4. -- Wouldn't Emma have saved her data to the cloud? Gio asked her if she saved it on her laptop, but it's a stretch to think someone as bright as Emma wouldn't do a cloud save. -- Also, how does Joss keep this ruse going? Are we to believe she knows this material and knows how to be a lab assistant? It's ludicrous. -- Maurice Benard spends most of his scenes looking at the floor or off to the side. Eye contact shouldn't be this rare. -- I wonder how difficult it is for Mo's screen partners to act with him, wondering what's going to come out of his mouth and when. -- Laura is such a great mayor and great woman. Imagine caring about others so much she vocalizes which mob boss she'd rather have in Port Charles. -- I'm not complaining at all, but putting Chase in a white tank t-shirt to practice his dance was hilarious. There was nothing about it to get his heart rate up or to break a sweat.
  5. You may be a casual watcher, but you got SO much right.
  6. Jeez, you nailed it.
  7. Andre is the standout in the cast among the males when it comes to fashion.
  8. The problem is that foyer doesn't look like it has ANY connection to that garbage glitter trash living room at Bill and Hayley's. I have to disagree strongly with both of you on Andre's wardrobe. I like it -- a lot. I don't think anything about it is dated, but that he looks like a guy who cares about fashion. Andre is a short king, but I don't want to see him lost in baggy clothes or chunky sweaters.
  9. This better be something, because as I said, so far it's just cliches and stereotypes -- the story we've heard a thousand times about the homeless person who doesn't want a home and prefers to live on the streets.
  10. These standalone episodes have become a continuing joke, and this one sounds worse than usual. We're getting an entire episode of 3 couples doing what they've done over and over and over. Victor & Nikki and Jack & Diane will be in their "new homes" so we can AGAIN be reminded of the new sets. Michael & Lauren will be in a restaurant, of course, because they don't even have a home any longer. This show is an embarrassment, and could not suck more.
  11. I hit the Google Machine, and can't find Alex Alegria's (Tomas) age anywhere. Wow, I really disagree with this. I like that Bill plays against the typical bad guy. I think Maurice Johnson has been just fine -- except for that swaying. I cannot believe someone -- anyone -- on that set didn't give him a note. He should have been called out on that in week one. The swaying and swiveling never stops unless he sits down. I understand the need for product placement and the reason for it. However, it does feel wrong during emotional scenes. Yes, we're talking about the products, but it takes us out of those emotional moments, and GATES shouldn't be happy about that. They need to do better. Maxim said it better than I did. I agree. The writers have absolutely failed Ashley and Derek. I've abused both of them here, but I do place more of the blame on the writing. Compare what A & D have been given with the dialogue Ambyr Michelle is getting as Eva. We're not even in the same universe. Ambyr is getting writing that plays to her (many) strengths. She takes good dialogue and knocks it out of the park. Ashley and Derek are given garbage to play and garbage to say.
  12. Dani really got on my nerves. Her own life is a total disaster, yet she interferes with everyone else's. What could she possibly say to Ted that will change anything? That will help anyone? And as you said, while she bashes Bill, she wants him back -- all the while knowing who he is and who he's been for years. None of these scenes are pushing me to appreciate Dani. -- OTOH, Bill got some very good shots in at Dani. He won that face-off. -- June is just a ball of cliches and stereotypes to this point. I hope this goes somewhere. -- Martin flies off the handle much too easily, but I did appreciate that he grew calm and subdued, and even sad, with Ted. -- I'm glad Tomas is pretty, because damn, that acting. -- I'm glad Derek looks so good in tight jeans, because damn, that acting. -- LMAO at Leslie gaining entrance to Nicole's house because Nicole wanted the front door ajar so Door Dash could leave her takeout.
  13. You're really in for it, because those rants continue for 3 episodes. I was struck by how ho-hum those cliffhangers were. It was like the writers ran out of gas.
  14. I'm not comparing CBS to ABC and NBC. The fact is that CBS/Paramount NEVER list a daytime show in their top streaming shows list. Since DAYS and GH appear on the Peacock and Hulu lists all the time -- for every episode of the week -- it is not realistic to believe that no CBS soap ever hits that Top 15. I'm not suggesting CBS has no idea how the soaps do on streaming. They clearly do. I just wish we knew something.
  15. Yeah, seeing Sarah wheeze and choke like someone who had ZERO medical training was...a choice. Of all the people to give this medical emergency to, they went with the person who made the least sense. What the hell was up with that??? Xander has plenty of flaws, but that's not one of them. Also, it was weird to hear Chanel say she was closing Sweet Bits for a few hours to "regroup." Whatever that means.
  16. Every week, www.thetvratingsguide.com publishes lists of the streamers for every day of the week. Every week, I see DAYS in the Peacock Top 15 for all 5 episodes, and I see GH in the HULU Top 15 for all 5 episodes. Paramount has no soap or any other daytime show (like the top-rated The Price Is Right) in the Top 15. Looks like it's intentional to ignore all of CBS Daytime, and I just don't get it.
  17. I wrote my previous post about Dante being on a 3-day rant while I was at the 30-minute mark of the show. By the end, Dante was back to being reasonable and kind and understanding of everyone and everything. OK, I get it. We all knew that sooner or later we'd get the wise Dante. The mistake was showing him berate Jason IN THE SAME EPISODE and imply he's a lousy father.
  18. Just shows you how quickly audiences respond to out-of-character writing. This is Day 3 of the Dante Ranting Tour wherein he bashes everyone else's parenting and everyone else's kid. He could not be more obnoxious.
  19. It didn't record on my DVR, so I assume it was a repeat. I'd say I'm glad I watched it on the CBS app, but nothing happened...as usual.
  20. Welcome to the club!
  21. -- Anita going through Ted and Nicole's wedding album. Really??? -- Dani defending Ted in her conversation with Nicole. Really??? -- Bill wants a child with Hayley. Really??? -- Many people are saying "Dana can't be Eva's mother" because of the way Dana treats her. Maybe she's not her mother, but that biological connection has nothing to do with it. Dana has functioned as Eva's mother all of her life. There's no reason to believe giving birth to her makes the difference. -- Hayley is hilarious for being so clueless and tone deaf when she comments on others' mistakes and flaws. God, she's dumb. -- Alex Alegria continues to suck as Tomas. Soooooo wooden. -- Ambyr Michelle stole the episode.
  22. Today's episodes of B&B and Y&R are both up at cbs.com. No idea how this is a "full preemption." These morons need to get their ish together.
  23. Today's episodes of B&B and Y&R are both up at cbs.com. No idea how this is a "full preemption. These morons need to get their ish together.
  24. -- Off, indeed. I wrote my rant while watching the show. Then I heard Dante mention manslaughter and Danny in the same sentence. Just over-the-top ridiculousness. -- Is Brad written off for good? If so, what a lousy exit. -- Portia is looking sooooooo dumb these days. Just clueless as to how she's coming across.
  25. -- This is maddening. DZ is acting his ass off, but the script is a mess. As you said, if Dante came down hard on Rocco, these outbursts would make some sense. Comparatively, though, Rocco got a pass, and that's just insane. Dante's not only criticizing Danny and Gio, but the people who raised them. It's just nuts. -- And then Dante goes to his father -- the mob boss killer WHO SHOT DANTE -- to declare Danny "reckless at heart." JFC. -- Kai was in the hospital for that dislocated shoulder about 3x as long as Sonny was in the hospital for his heart. Make it make sense.
