That was the worst part of today's show. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I heard that. I also hated that once again Valentin was THISCLOSE to death and once again was bailed out. Frank loves saving his boyfriend. I did appreciate Chase's scenes with Lulu. They finally gave Josh Swickard something to play.

Yep, now we have the Javi character being wrecked at the altar of Leo. And why was it a big deal to hear Javi say he loves Leo? Shouldn't you frickin love someone before you move him into your house? Yeah, too nice for that tiny kitchen we get. Janet Spellman-Drucker must be on her Goggle machine again. Sure looks like it. Disaster.

I've complained non-stop about Y&R lately, but this week was pretty good, and Friday was a good cliffhanger. -- The family scenes (like Friday's with Jack, Diane, Traci, and Kyle) are well-written with natural and real performances. -- At least the kidnapping is over. -- Looking at next week's previews, I worry the Alan plot will be rushed. Josh Griffith is bad at a lot of things, including playing the beats. There has to be something between his 3-week story arcs and the old days when Bill Bell took 3 years to finish a story. -- I've been bored with Adam and Chelsea, but yesterday's scenes worked. They had some depth, and I felt movement in their relationship. -- I am so tired of being teased with a possible Sharon and Nick reunification. If you're not going to go there, don't mention it. Seems like a sick joke to those of us who want them together and "know" they should be together. If you're writing Nick as someone with a deep understanding of what they have together, then don't have him lead Sharon on before telling her they're better off as friends. It's cruel to her and cruel to the audience.

That's where I am. I've offered some criticisms of the show, but I consider it to be normal soap talk. The wrong thing to do would be to say everything -- the dialogue, the acting, the sets, etc. -- is fire. I really enjoy BTG and am extremely happy it's on the air. I think MVJ is a hero and a miracle worker for getting this to air. She has cemented her role in daytime history. She is legacy and she is iconic. I have no words to fully explain how impressive she is. That does not mean I won't criticize what's not working. I agree. Ambitions was a wild ride and a lot of fun. Jamey Giddens gets a ton of criticism here, but he did really good work on Ambitions. Many of the people here who are wild about BTG mention reasons that were all over the place in Ambitions. My guess is that most people here never watched an episode of Ambitions. So do I think Jamey is a positive addition to BTG? I do.

-- Today's episode was just ok, and a step down from what we've been getting. Definitely underwhelming for a Wednesday cliffhanger. Y&R was actually much better. -- The Derek and Ashley stuff is awful, and she's as much to blame as he is. There's no way he'd be permitted to go back to work so soon, and I think Ashley should share her Andre thoughts with a best friend, not her mother. -- And can Ashley stop looking at those photos Andre took? Weird. -- In fact, this show overdoes the "looking at photos" thing. I'm looking at you, Nicole. -- Still have no idea why the show wants to go there with Andre and Ashley. I see no reason he should be interested in her. -- I wanted more biting dialogue in some scenes today. Didn't get it.

Embarrassing for Carter and for LSV. He just STOOD there while the promises Ridge and Eric made him were all tossed aside by Steffy from Hell. In fact, that was also embarrassing for Brooke, Ridge, and Eric. They all just stood there while Steffy held court. The whole company deserves to go down. None of this is to defend Hope, who's so clueless I have no words. Meanwhile, Daphne talks about how awesome it is that Carter found his morals and returned the company to the Forresters. Why the f_uck would she care?

Is Lulu really going to fight Dante for physical custody of Rocco? That girl needs to sit down for awhile. She's out of control.

-- Another good show today, but also plenty of cringe dialogue with performances I'll kindly call awkward. -- Eva's line about multiple orgasms can't save a show where Tomas tells Kat "I concur." No guy wearing a huge ring on his dial finger talks that way, especially if he's supposed to be a hot Latino. Damn, he's bad. Kat and Eva's scenes are always good. -- Hayley being ignored at the Club was good stuff. I wish they'd done even more with it. I'll say again that MG isn't fiery enough for Hayley. Those cheap ass outfits she wears can't do all the talking. -- I love Vernon and Anita, but at some point they have to move beyond these stories about how amazing and perfect Anita is. They're pushing it already. -- I agree with others that the Naomi lawsuit scenes didn't work as well as they could. Some editing neeed? Or more charged dialogue? -- I don't like the casting of Mike the Sexual Harassment Pig. Doesn't seem like someone who'd be a fit for a top position in Bill's company. Not smooth enough. Or at all. -- I'm all for Dani setting that living room at Bill and Hayley's on fire. Looks like this Glorietta person bought things at Dollar General. -- I have no idea what Jacob wanted to arrest Joey for. I mean, what?

And now she says they're trying to soften her character but "there's a bump in the road coming up"? Plenty of characters on daytime have been redeemed, but I don't know if it's possible to come back from "hateful homophobic mother." I don't care how many gay kids they give her.

That angered me because this vanguardian 53 person said it as if it's some widely-accepted truth, when it's no such thing. It's a blatant, ugly LIE. His response? That he wasn't going to argue with me. LOL, OK then.

LOTS is wrong and so is SOME, because it implies there's a significant percentage of gay people who claim they're gay because they were molested. The number is not zero, but the number is very low. You are not going to go unanswered when you attempt to pass off ignorance as fact.

I agree with you. I don't think Marquita Goings exactly nailed those scenes. Underwhelming. I'd rather Dani call some guy for anonymous sex. I don't think she and Andre are a match. I know Cady has her fans and her stans. I'm not one of them. I'd rather have seen Vanessa in that friendship role today. Cady's acting is too affected for me. I cringed at Smitty in the apron. That was too much. Also too much? Martin saying "young horny bastards" in front of his kids. hehe I'd be down for that, too. I just wish the director would film Derek without aiming the camera at his crown, where he's losing some hair. That happened all episode. They also need to give Derek better dialogue. When he told Ashley today "I haven't appropriately shown you how much I love you," it was awkward because people don't talk that way.

-- So are you blaming TPTB for the entire Body & Soul debacle? Sometimes TPTB should step in earlier. -- Dan F and Carson Boatman were both really good today. Their scenes made the episode, and I agree the episode should have ended on them. -- I'm sick of both Kristen and her mother. They can both go. I never liked this old Rachel casting.

So that's the example of how well Frank manages the budget? Yikes. Honestly, I'm in awe of the performances we get considering that whack job of a taping schedule. She's afraid? LOL The woman should know. I assume she's just trying to protect herself and her job, because she has to know how much she's disliked.

JMW pops out kids like she's one of the Duggars. If Eric didn't look like a fraud, he looked like an addle-brained idiot. Every one of them looked ridiculous. -- The only surprise today -- the only thing that worked -- was watching Poppy go ham on her psycho killer daughter from hell. Everything else was laughably bad. -- Who changes control of a company merely by ripping up a couple sheets of paper? -- We're still getting no answers (and won't get any) as to why Daphne did anything she did. -- Sheila's freakout over seeing Luna was ridiculous, both in writing and in performance. And clearly no one cares whether Sheila ever mentions her other kids. -- Carter is the putz of all putzes. Just a complete waste. -- Brooke is forever embarrassing when she ends every conversation with Hope by telling her that FC belongs to the Forresters. -- Hope is beyond stupid. She deserves to be mistreated by every person in town. That's how pathetic she is.

I co-sign on this. The Andre/Ashley/Derek story is absolutely awful, and I blame the writing more than the actors. They're not doing it for me, but I have to agree with you and wonder who could make this stuff work.

That isn't good. It's PHENOMENAL. GH would be wise to air this and kick off Jarly. I never gave a ton of thought to them as a couple before...I was kind of meh about them...but this video sold me. I mean, sealed the deal. The person who put this together has real talent. LW and SB should see this.

Same here. Dani is fascinating to watch, but holy hell, she's a complete mess and hard to root for. I do wonder how the writers want us to see Dani. It's hard to believe they expect us to like this version of her.

Yes, KMc was perfect, and she helped sell that alien storyline. BL's assets were perfect for that era of tight jeans. Big guy with amazing thighs and butt LOL

I just watched a You Tube clip of Casey with Anna, Robin, and Frisco. Yeah, I admit I had this huge crush on Bradley Lockerman (Casey) at the time. I'm sure that helped me buy in to the whole alien thing.
