  1. I agree with all of this. I've been complaining about the Joey character since he first appeared, and I'm just not seeing this chemistry with Vanessa. I don't know what she sees in him. The guy is a liar and has nothing on Diego in the looks department. -- BTG needs to decide who Vanessa is. Is she a sad wife in a lonely marriage who loves her husband? Street trash who screws hotel employees and treats them like garbage? A devoted and loving friend to devoted and loving Nicole? I'm not buying this character. -- And I'm not buying Nicole's passivity at Vanessa being such a cheat. -- I literally CRINGED when I heard the opening riff to the BBD New Jack Swing song. I thought we were in for a disaster. However, I ended up liking that performance. Unexpected as hell, but it worked, and Tunie was good. -- Who is dressing Martin? My God, those slacks were amazing. Package for days. -- I liked seeing Smitty all loosened up at the club in background scenes. -- I'll put up wit Tomas' wooden acting if he's a cheater. If he's faithful to Kat, I don't want to see it. -- I don't understand why the writers took the party planners from gay and campy and so fun all the way to obnoxious and mean -- all in the span of two scenes. -- The edits and cuts are still terrible. Sorry, those are not primetime cuts. No one on primetime is doing that.
  2. Bridget's reaction to Liam's "inoperable brain tumor" had me in stitches. Not only was it fun watching Ashley Jones (try to) emote with a face that doesn't move, but seeing a doctor react to a tumor as she did was hysterical! "IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!!" Bridget cried as she moaned and wailed about Liam's impending death. Of course, Finn also pulled the "It's not fair!" card. Another clueless doctor. I just can't with this show.
  3. I hated today's show with a passion. -- I was bored out of my mind, but at the same time, I was ready to scream at the TV. Billy's discussion of Abbott Communications with Phyllis was horrible television. It was all vague and generic and ridiculous. NO ONE knows what they do there. And then they talk about Daniel being part of the triad at Abbot. Why in the f_uck would Daniel be a part of the triad? All we know about him is that he created a video damn game. We have no idea what any of these people do. Billy talks to Sally about becoming a big deal at Abbott Communications. Say what? What the hell does she know about a media conglomerate -- or whatever they are? And then the pathetic discussion with Daniel that he doesn't know what he wants. Jesus, that was boring and generic. Also, no, the show wasn't saved when Daniel sat dow n to talk with rando Tessa at the end. If there's a Josh Griffith "plan" there, I don't want to see it. -- Also bad: The ENDLESS conversation among Claire, Victoria, and Nikki about Claire moving in with Kyle. Why did we need multiple lengthy scenes about this? And why -- after all this talk about moving in together -- did Victoria and Nikki have shocked looks on their faces when Claire said she's in love with Kyle??? Shouldn't it be obvious and accepted that any damn couple moving in together must be in love???? #FireJoshGriffith
  4. I thought she was great in the role, too. I don't understand people who say she can't act.
  5. It takes a level head to see the red flags in a guy like Joey???
  6. The restaurant meetings are the worst, and this week was especially bad. Look at Nate and Audra. They had a long dinner at home, but then went to the GCAC lounge for drinks and dancing....FOLLOWED BY A TRIP TO CRIMSON LIGHTS, just so they could run into someone else who'd been in some restaurant earlier. It's absolute insanity, and I hate it. No other soap is this bad with sets, not even DAYS.
  7. JPL has been great since his return. I want him to stick around. He and Paul Telfer are great together.
  8. -- I still like the show a lot, but April has not been as good as March. -- The cliffhanger just wasn't. Joey getting into the offices at the hospital is supposed to be exciting? It's not. I also have a problem with Joey's plan -- to get Doug so deeply into debt that Vanessa ends up being the money launderer (or whatever). Seems poorly thought out, and someone as dangerous as Joey is supposed to be would do better. -- I still prefer Vanessa as Dani's best friend, because they're both more impulsive and looser regarding vibe and morals. Doesn't make sense to me that Nicole is so laid back and nonplussed about Vanessa's slut life. -- Kat should more than understand why Chelsea doesn't want her mother involved in her career. -- So the preview show Anita being afraid. That has to mean afraid to perform again. I'm fine with Tamara Tunie singing on the show, but let's not pretend this is some exciting plot development. -- The actor playing Dr. Doug seems to be popular here, but I'm not crazy about him. He doesn't read as a surgeon who was invested in a dying patient, and breaking his hand at the main nurses' desk seemed ridiculous. -- The stories we saw today all need some movement. Feels like they're treading water, and I hope we get some sweeps month craziness.
  9. -- This daddy/daughter stuff is so bad. BOLD doesn't care about kids unless they need to write contrived scenes that say "These characters love their children more than life!" -- Finn spends all his time in his office while Bridget and (apparently) Liam's personal physician are in his room 24/7. Wonder who covers the rest of the hospital. -- Had to LOL at the previews for next week. After an entire half hour about Liam's inoperable brain tumor, it was all "Next week, a BOLD fashion show!!!" 😂
  10. I so agree with this. Having her just disappear would be the best outcome. That last scene with Natalia and Sidwell talking about Sonny having a hole in his heart was a real head-scratcher. They positioned it in the last minute of the week and gave it ponderous and threatening music to make it all seem earth-shattering. My concern isn't about Natalia getting offed. It's that they'll off Jordan.
  11. -- So Dr. Doug's schedule is THISFULL, yet he's the one called on to handle the firefighter. There's no ER, of course. Everyone is just gurneyed in right by the main nurses' desk. -- I know Smitty is the parental voice of reason, but I wish he'd get a little emotional and spicy in his discussions with Martin once in a while. -- I still think Martin's dialogue needs to be more informal and conversational. It still sounds like he just walked out of a finishing school. Brandon Claybon is improving, but the script writers are making it harder for him. -- That Tide bottle on the table was hilarious. Don't we all carry our jug of detergent with us when we carry a basket of clothes to be folded? 😂 -- The Jessica actress was really good, especially for day one. She should have been cast for Samantha. -- The young actor playing Tyrell is strong. I think he has a future beyond those gates. -- When Doug told Vanessa he was sure she had her share of suitable dinner partners, I thought he was implying she was seeing other men. But then why did Vanessa respond with "I don't know what that's supposed to mean"? -- Oh, Derek. Still stiff as ever. And Basic Ashley is no better.
  12. The characters on this show do nothing but move from venue to venue and drink.
  13. Very good show today. DAYS has been interesting and eminently watchable since Body & Soul ended. If the show had been this decent, I wouldn't have been calling for Ron's firing for a year. He has no one to blame but himself. People are fine with humor and even camp on a soap, but they're not OK with treating it like a joke.
  14. -- I see Liam got the typical Bold "illness/diagnosis." We have no idea what's wrong. We hear he's getting better, but have no idea what that means. I have no idea why Bridget is typing on that computer in Liam's hospital room. -- Sheila tells Luna "You are good." I guess that means people who aren't killers are "great." -- Glad to hear Finn tell Sheila at the end of the show that he didn't want to be a part of Luna's life. I'm sure that will go away tomorrow.
  15. -- That set for Molly's tire change, replete with Cody on a horse, made me LOL. That 35 Mile marker sign was special. 😂 -- Lucas was a complete wuss in running out of Alexis' office when the discussion if Sidwell being Marco's father came up. Boy could not escape fast enough.
  16. LOL Thanks. Someone at GH hates her.
  17. I don't think you're reading too much into it. I was immediately struck when Andre used the word "painkiller" -- and then used it a second time. Why not say aspirin? Or even "Here's something for that headache"? I mean, who takes painkillers for a hangover? That had to be intentional. If it wasn't, it was a major error on the part of the writers.
  18. I agree with all of that. I know the Cady stans are out there, but I'm not down for adding a character and making it up as they go along. CM is clearly an add-on -- and someone we won't see all that often. It comes off like a favor to give her a job. The excuses like "Hopefully, it'll all get straightened out" are never made for other soaps, and I'm not accepting that here. Pamela will be gone again before anything is straightened out. Maybe the problem is that I don't know Cady from her ABC soap days. I know her only from Y&R and DAYS, where I thought she was overwrought and over-the-top far too often.
  19. -- Dani is all over the place. She was plastered drunk the night before, and then she goes to the club and pretends she has it all together. -- I get that -- putting on a show and all -- but why tell Hayley she needs a Plan B when she never had one? I think Dani should stay away from Hayley completely. Her talks with Hayley are embarrassing. -- I won't defend all of Bill's cheating over the years, but I can only imagine what it would be like to be married to Tornado Dani. -- Kind of a head-scratcher to hear Naomi practically give a pass to her cheating father while blaming Hayley so much more. -- Andre has all of a sudden become the therapist for both Ted and Nicole, who start talking about miscarriages as soon as Andre shows up. Really? -- Martin's booty was popping again today, but the writers need to stop giving him elevated language. I get why they're doing it, but it doesn't work with an actor who's getting comfortable but still needs more time. -- Pamela doesn't work for me as Dani's BFF. I think Cady is here because she's a name, but flawed and messy (and also awful) Vanessa is a better fit. How is Vanessa a good BFF with Nicole? That makes no sense. -- The Tide product placement today was good.
  20. Jason seemed over-the-top to me with those threats, and the amped up music was layered on top. It was all so contrived.
  21. Wow. I couldn't disagree more. I think Casey Moss did some of his best work in those scenes. JJ seemed very emotional and in pain to question Gabi that way.
  22. Janet Spellman-Drucker was playing with her Google Machine again.
  23. That lingerie outfit they put on Luna to entice Will -- who decided that granny panties would be the way to go?
  24. This version of Amy is apparently written by people who heard of Amy Vining but who never saw any of her actual scenes. -- Diane's wigs continue to be hilarious. -- Mo continues to struggle like effing crazy with his dialogue. So what's the GH answer? Put him on the air every day. -- Anna's defense of Sonny being friends with Laura continues to be a complete embarrassment. -- Laura is just as pathetic for her continued "friendship" with the town's murderous mob boss.
  25. This stuff with her is so bad. Could not be worse. Just ridiculous that Liz had to call Lucas for help to get rid of her. If it was intended as comic relief, that didn't work, either.
