  1. This Sheila/Bill/Ridge mess is the WORST. REWRITE. EVER. You will never convince me this isn't a Brad Bell rewrite of a story that everyone thought was ludicrous.
  2. This HAS to be the worst set on any daytime soap. Seriously, I think it might be one of the all-time worst.
  3. What am I missing here? This is hardly "gross." Regardless, Paul's first kiss with Andrew was hotter than anything I saw between Will and Sonny, mostly because Chandler Massey refused to do anything but a pursed lips kiss, often missing the lips entirely.
  4. Agree with you on both. The full open theme would obviously work since they're no longer under time constraints. Streamers and cable are known for full, great opens that make what's to come seem important and a traditional way to intro a show. That close track they're using is just awful. I can't imagine anyone likes that.
  5. Does anyone else really dislike the music track used at hte end of every episode? I really hate it.
  6. You're so right -- filtered and messed with beyond belief. It really goes to just how bad the soap press is and how it functions (badly) as a public relations arm for the soaps.
  7. I'm all in on old-school surprise cliffhangers -- but not for a shockplot twist that makes no sense.
  8. When I finally work here? Huh? As usual, what I say bothers you. Fine. Just get it all out, honey. I’ll leave it at that.
  9. Exactly. It makes NO PHUCKING SENSE. None of it. It's all the Brad Bell "shocking plot twist" crap that he pulls every few months. To make this make sense, you have to twist yourself into a pretzel. And Ridge looks like a CLOWN with that hairstyle.
  10. This renewal is really great news. Not surprisingly, posters here are using the renewal to offer their complaints about the show, including Carlivati. I complain about the soaps all the time, but there's a time and place for that, and maybe we should celebrate this for a day without complaining about what's wrong with the show.
  11. Yes, it was a surprise -- but all this show is known for besides repetitive conversations is the shock plot twist. That's all this is, and it's a shock plot twist that makes no sense if you think about it for more than 10 seconds. BTW, Ridge looks ridiculous with that hair pulled back in a ponytail. I mean, my God.
  12. No question— Josh Morrow has definitely been working out. He was much softer at the beginning of this Sally affair, and the dad bod he had is gone. He looks incredible.
  13. Not a great pic of Jensen, but he looked amazing in Big Sky this season… as handsome and hot as ever.
  14. The problem is there aren't enough worthy under-18s on the soaps to make this meaningful. They'll be giving an Emmy to someone we barely see. Ridiculous.
  15. How many times do we have to see Sheila telling Deacon she can't be with him any more? It's all just ridiculous. Honestly, I'm tired of this "Sheila is a babe" thing. Deacon and Bill are written as captivated and mesmerized by her, and I don't see it.
  16. The insta-besties relationship between Brooke and Taylor is just ridiculous, and the gay baiting that Brad Bell is doing makes it even worse. Hollis? I think there's definite chemistry with Brooke, and I hope she realizes who she is (uh....one of the girls who love to have fun) and calls him back. It's time for the S_lut from the Valley to return.
  17. Not much. As usual, DD takes every opportunity to slam anyone who criticizes Y&R for not bringing him back while loving every stan who slobbers over him and tells him how wonderful he is. I don't think he's dumb. I think he knows the bridges aren't just burned, but burned down. He has no chance of returning...and that's probably the only executive decision at Y&R that I agree with.
  18. Any decent writer would know how to create story for Sharon and for an actor like Sharon Case. It’s just ridiculous to claim the writers blew their load. Sorry for being crass….just repeating what I read. We know the problem is that JG doesn’t like writing for her.
  19. I have to agree. Carlivati is a gimmick writer, whether it's laziness or a lack of imagination or both. For me, these gimmicks overwhelm anything good we might see, and we always know another gimmick is right around the corner.
  20. While we all rightly complain about the cramped and bad YR sets, we should give a mention to how small and awful the set is for Deacon's "restaurant." It's gotta be one of the worst on daytime.
  21. It feels like Carlivati took off a couple months before the "Peacock shows" begin. I have complaints about all 4 soaps, but NONE of the others are this jaw-droppingly bad.
  22. Yes, Fire Country and Chicago Fire both have "fire" in common. That being said, they are not the same show at all.
  23. Brad Bell is gay baiting, period. It's going nowhere. It's just ridiculous that these two are besties and spend all their time complimenting and tongue-praising each other. And now we get a waiter who's making inappropriate comments to Brooke about her beauty and appeal??? Is it 1980 all over again???
