  1. KILL ME NOW AND LIGHT ME ON FIRE. Kristen as a CHARACTER just screams travesty these days. I want her gone, period. ED owns the role anyway, and the faux-power given to Kristen is just ludicrous. As far as John goes, Drake is and will always be a terrible actor -- but he's one I'm more than OK with keeping. Call it history, call it tradition, call it whatever you want. Some bad actors like Drake can stay. But the guy who plays Li? My God -- he's awful. He's a handsome dude (and that is worth a lot hehe) but there's a lot of eye candy out there who can act.
  2. Katie's bland and boring, but Carter's no better, honestly. If he needs a fire, it's because he's SOOOOO laid back and mellow and smooth ALL THE TIME. Yeah, LSV is gorgeous and sexy as hell, and I've seen some decent acting from him, but as written, Carter is boring and ridiculous. He gets over women he's "in love with" in a flash -- even as he talks about how much they meant to him. Then it's one kiss, and the guy is head-over-heels AGAIN. This insta-romance with Katie would be hilarious if it weren't so dumb. I want Carter to be a real person, not whatever this is that we're getting. As written, he's a joke. And Katie? I have NO expectation that we'll see her enough to make this "relationship" matter.
  3. Katie and Carter falling for each other in one scene. Riveting.
  4. I don't either, but now her outfits are a match for that hair. She could not be dressed more poorly. One outfit after another is a "God, she needs a makeover" moment. Also not helping? Her annoying interference into others' lives, including screeching about them.
  5. The article says October 15, so they must have corrected the mistake.
  6. As you can see, Brad Bell can't help himself -- he writes the same story over and over again. That's "all" that's wrong with Bold, but it's also EVERYTHING on Bold.
  7. I laugh, too -- it's the only way to get through his scenes LOL He's every soap stereotype...on steroids.
  8. I see that Maxie still has the same dresser. YIKES.
  9. They're not trying, but it's not Trump writing it. If it were, we'd see Ridge smacking Steffy's ass as she walked by.
  10. I HOWLED when I heard that. Please -- please tell me the writers know how hilarious this is and that they're just having fun. If they really mean it, I want some of the drugs they're on.
  11. No one overacts and chews scenery quite like Drake Hogestyn. He's so bad he's good.
  12. I think this is just typical Josh Griffith writing -- creating an interesting story and then ENDING it just when it looks even more promising. If he wanted Devon and Co. to find out what was going on, there were many other ways to do that -- while still keeping Nate as a new Dark Side character. Does he not know how to redeem a character like that? Is that the reason to abandon the story? Because from what I can see, he's already writing the other characters as wanting nothing to do with Nate, even though they fail to acknowledge that it's better late than never to get that info from him. This is why I cannot trust ANY story on YR, frankly. Trevor St. John is great as nuTucker, and there's so much potential there. But do I trust where the story is headed? I don't. And back to the Nate story. Where is Imani in all this??? We had potential there, too. Then, THUD. Danny is returning to the canvas for at least a few shows. Why should we trust that his appearance will make any difference? Until Josh Griffith is fired, this is the reality of YR: unfulfilled potential. No wonder I spend so much time looking at sets and rolling my eyes.
  13. Crimson Lights is my #2 choice for "ridiculously used set," Paul. No coffee shop at Newman? At Jabot? Why would these execs always head to CL for their cup of joe? And why stop there after work before they head home? Do none of these people have coffee pots at home? Who would stop there before going to work? We've seen instances when some characters go to Crimson Lights MULTIPLE times per day. I actually don't mind the set at all, but I hate the way it's used. It's lazy writing. As you said, it takes you right out of the story.
  14. We all know the sets problem at YR, but is there any set that's more ridiculously used than the Chancellor Park set??? People walk through "the park" every day and choose only those benches to sit on? They run into others -- sometimes exercising, sometimes for no reason -- at the same spot? Toddlers are brought to that bench to play in the grass? Couples have picnics on that same grass in front of the benches? Soccer matches and baseball games take place just a few yards away? It's just awful.
  15. Exactly how I feel -- the nuance doesn't matter. It's a shame to wreck Steffy's character like this just so a storyline that's been beaten to death can be beaten again. Yep. And the children of both of them don't know what love is if they're pushing their mothers back with their father. Any child who values decency would want Ridge away from these women.
  16. I agree with you on a lot of actors and plots, etc., but where exactly are you getting this? Do you know the guy? It's great they let us know who should be blamed. Today's episode was flat and boring beyond words, and t he direction isn't even worth commenting on.
  17. A simple adult conversation? Huh? Not a single part of that conversation was needed. In fact, there was no conversation. It was Steffy with her nose in the air, telling Brooke “You lost.” That was needed? It wasn’t, and it wasn’t an adult conversation. I wish Brooke had told Steffy to go eff herself. Regardless, Brooke and Taylor are both doormats for Ridge, who’s nothing but a POS.
  18. I think you explained it perfectly, and it’s why I have no use for Sonny any longer, and why I’m tired of MB. in addition to all you said about his acting tics, we also get the days when he’s clearly struggling to remember his lines. Those of us who see it are not making it up. His dialogue should have been cut back a good while ago. Meanwhile, everyone at GH has to treat him like a master thespian who can do no wrong — while kissing his ring. GMAB.
  19. OK, but I honestly think we’re pretty much saying the same thing. Whether it was all in Allie’s head doesn’t make a difference. Perception is reality, and her thoughts were her reality. Chanel could have shut this down before anything happened. Their communication skills are terrible.
  20. Sonny is far too mercurial to me. He’s not only different with different characters, but oftentimes characters have to deal with a different Sonny than they did the day before. I think scenes are written to give Maurice Benard exciting stuff, story be damned. They cater to the actor instead of serving the story and the show. One day we get Papa Sonny the Wise Sage explaining the meaning of life to someone in grief. The next day he’s loudly threatening to kill someone. It’s sickening.
  21. So what did I miss? What case did either Allie or Chanel make for wanting the threesome? They either needed something different themselves or felt their partner did. I don’t know how else the audience should read this.
  22. Brooke has done plenty wrong, but that doesn't make anything Ridge, Steffy, or Thomas have done be any less vile. Steffy's gloating was vile and ignorant. Thomas again messed with another person's life. Ridge is total human trash. He just told Brooke he needs honesty, when the POS won't even tell her about the phone call. And I STILL can't get over Ridge AGAIN leaving one woman for another after a single argument. Could that be enough to understand a partner needing space, asking for a separation? Yeah. But a complete break where the a-wipe moves from Brooke to Taylor within HOURS??? No effing way.
  23. So much of this is spot on. It IS a well-worn straight male fantasy, and as written it is NOT interesting, and it is NOT organic to these characters/plot. It makes NO SENSE that a couple married 3 months ago ALREADY needs someone else to spice up their sex lives. It's just ridiculous. RSW was chosen because...well, you all know why. Still, I can't blame him for any of this. In my eyes, it's wrong to blame any one actor for plotting that's a disaster. And no, it's not enough that this threesome is in some ways "groundbreaking." I care more about good soap that watching scenes that make me say "Never before in daytime!!!" And look at those morning-after scenes -- the dialogue among the three of them was just terrible and unrealistic. You're right, too, about a threesome with 2 or 3 men, except I don't believe "it ain't going to happen for a long time." I don't think it's ever going to happen, period. It's more likely we'll get a farce with Sonny having sex with goofy and annoying as hell Leo.
  24. If either or both are pregnant, I think it wrecks the entire idea of the threesome and just having a good time. We’re supposed to applaud them for being adults who can do what they want in their own bedrooms. But I’d expect adults to know better regarding condoms or birth control — especially since Allie and Chanel haven’t even been married for 3 months.
  25. All I know is that Esme isn’t scary or threatening at all. GH makes her out to be some evil and mysterious vixen, but the actress can’t cut it.
