Does anyone else agree with me that Richard Burgi just isn’t very good as Ashland? Everyone’s gone out of their way to praise him, but I think he’s just mediocre in the role. I won’t miss him. Hes a great looking guy, but he’s brought nothing special to the role.

It really is. I also hate that Epiphany is used as a stereo type.

Today’s show was another suckfest. They can’t even do emotional holiday shows any more. Why is Nina on the damn phone? Why can’t she be there? Phyllis cries about missing her kids, but why should I be sad when she can jet to see them? And saying the gifts she ordered would be a week late? We were told there’d be a mess in delivery, but that never happened. Why wouldn’t Jack visit his kid and grandson? Why is Devon wrapping gifts when everyone I know throws the gifts in a gift bag? Why do Xmas visitors to Abby’s not get a drink or a piece of cheese? Why do Tessa and Mariah have 14 bags each — all that look empty? What emotion should I feel when Chance reads a Xmas card message — about another thing that happened off screen? This show is a DISASTER.

Why do all the face slaps look so bad and unrealistic lately? None of them look like the hand was within a foot of the actor’s face.

The problem with 5nis show is not the cast. It’s the writing. We get an occasional strong, emotional scene, but for the most part, there’s no story. It’s calm people talking calmly., and it’s IMMENSELY boring. Josh Griffith thinks that Sally walking into Adam’s office unannounced a few times a week is high drama I don’t know what to say to that. And now Noah is laid back and sullen. Chance is laid back and sullen. Nick is laid back and sullen, but oh, Nick gets the drama — returning a box of Phyllis’ things to her WHILE THEY SIT IN A HOTEL LOBBY. Depressing as f u c k.

I had to LMAO at Brad’s first scene back (pushing the cart). Since when do prison inmates get $200 haircuts?

What wealthy family == or any family — has a party in the lobby of a hotel??? Ami the only one disgusted by this? if they can’t afford another set, have the party at home. The hotel lobby is just pathetic. Even worse, they lay over ambient sound of a LARGE crowd that’s supposedly there. Those same crowd noises are used at Crimson Lights, even when there’s no one in the place. Maybe I wouldn’t notice these things if the writing didn’t suck.

Jen Lilley isn’t coming back. She can make more doing Hallmark movies than doing GH. But yeah, Kirsten Storms needs a rest. That Quartermaine kitchen? What a terrible set. It’s small, cheap, and looks like something from a high school drama production. Joss has no chemistry with Cam. None. Or with anyone else on the show right now.

Can someone please give Lucas a nice haircut. That helmet is worse than ever, and looks like Helen Keller cut it.

nuChance is still a great improvement over the last one, and I actually think he and MO are a good fit. Still, shouldn’t they have been hungry for some alone time over those days? Jess Walton is always welcome, but I wish they hadn’t AGAIN gone to the “Billy is a screw up” storyline. Haven’t we seen that a dozen times from Jill? Why not have her get angry with Victor and vow vengeance for him going after her son? I realize it’s a problem that Jess isn’t working much, but I hate the repetition. Christel Khalil was outright LAUGHING during her dialogue about Lily takin* over and Billy working for her.

Kimberlin Brown isn’t cancelled. Doesn’t mean we have to like her as a person, and I don’t. In addition, her story since her return has been a dud.

That doesn’t mean the WRITERS were clueless — it works when the actors playing it perform as if they’re not in on it. Good camp (like John Waters’ stuff) is written by those who ARE in on it. When we laugh, we’re in on it with the writers, and the product is good stuff. If it’s campy and the writers weren’t in on it? Bad camp. That can be enjoyable to watch but will never make the movie or show quality.

Susan has to go. She is so beyond annoying I have no words. I know everyone feels the need to add qualifiers and to praise Stacy Haiduk, but for me, she’s worn out her welcome. She could write a book filled with her acting tics, so she should leave the show and do that.

Knowing this show, Bell will have Deacon knock up Steffy.

It makes absolutely no sense why Abby wouldn’t tell her family that Chance is alive before leaving to find him. None.
