  1. Maurice Johnson is very active on social media as it pertains to BTG. He responds a lot to viewers' posts and just comes off like an all around cool dude.
  2. I only see a troublesome outcome for Andre and Ashley. I believe it was the first or second week of the show that both Aunt Nicole and Uncle Ted pretty much advised Andre to steer clear of her. And just recently, again, Aunt Nicole reiterates it. It smells like foreshadowing to me. Once Ashley gives in to his charms and sleeps with him, only to have him turn around and not pay attention to her anymore afterwards, will ignite the scorn. She accuses him of taking advantage of her and people are going to believe it because of Andre's lothario reputation. I wouldn't be surprised if Andre disappears shortly afterwards with people thinking he's just on one of his traveling photography assignments when he's actually been kidnapped via Derek. Again, the move of Vivian Alamain?
  3. No one is perfect of course, but I'd be perfectly fine if they kept Nicole as the grounded character of the show because God knows, everyone else seems to have their "sumthin" so to speak. The showrunners weren't lying about this show being black people doing "messy" things. But even Nurse Nightingale appears to be on a path of tainting her good girl image by cheating on Derek with a thirsty pint-sized playboy.
  4. Andre is in trouble with a capital T. He's just too horny not to recognize it. SMH.
  5. And it's kind of annoying to me honestly. Hire actor Blair Underwood as Vernon's younger brother. Give Teddy Bear that twin that I still beleive exists for some reason. I wouldn't mind Jacob having a male sibling too.
  6. Ok so what's Martin's problem? I simply offered a theory. Does anyone have another? Instead of downplaying mine? Let's have it. This IS a discussion board after all.
  7. Nevermind. I'm not going to argue because denial ain't just a river in Egypt.
  8. Ok. Should I say SOME instead of LOTS? Some of you don't know the way of this world obviously.
  9. See what you posted here? It's exactly why it may or may not go this way with Martin. People believing that homosexuality is associated with sexual abuse. It's all on the writers of course. We'll see.
  10. You are so silly AND worried. Have a nice day. I certainly intend to.
  11. I don't write for this show any more than I assume that you do. I'm just theorizing and you sound worried. But I'm not.
  12. Martin and his nightmares is reminding me of "Jake Mcclaine" from B&B decades ago. Jake was having nightmares ultimately discovering he was molested by a pig of an uncle. In this case, the show then says that the reason Martin is gay is because of the molestation. Lots of gay people are claiming that in real life.
  13. Martin and Ted seemingly have no relationship at all which is unfortunate. I mean come on, a father and a son need bonding. Ted has connected more with his nephew than his own son.
  14. Derek is going to "Vivian Alamain" Andre aka bury him alive DAYS style. I'm here for it and Andre needs to be taught a lesson somewhat. Derek has already peeped game.
  15. Something unfavorable I think is going to happen in the Derek/Ashley/Andre camp. Probably not an actual rape, but consensual sex between Andre and Ashley that somehow gets depicted that he went too far with her. Derek finds out and his concussion has him pulling a "Vivian Alamain" on Andre. Lol. Lastly, Martin's nightmares of something that he doesn't remember reminds me of the device that soaps used back in the day to depict childhood sexual abuse. The sounds of the gunfire might've been him killing his abuser as a child. He's blocked it all out but his grandparents and Bill know all of the gory details.
  16. We might need to apply this sentiment to Ted too! I don't know, but the masquerading of being an upstanding man while paying off some nutty woman to keep quiet about the sleazy tryst you had with her seems extra skeevy. Too bad for Ted that the money payoff didn't stick because now she's baaaaack.
  17. And they keep depicting Ashley as sickeningly saccharine for some reason. I don't trust it.
  18. You mean him? I think he kinda slightly ended up being right. But guess what? I like this show anyway.
  19. This show appears to be mirroring a lot in terms of characters and plots. We've got our Stephanie Forrester, Brooke Logan, Sheila. The former Y&R triangle of Lauren/Scott/Sheila now in the form of Nicole/Ted/Leslie, etc.
  20. Suddenly somehow I don’t trust this show. But we'll see.
  21. I'm not bored by this show at all but I would love more insight into these characters. I'm fearing a OLTL replay. Andre as Todd Manning. Ashley as Marty Saybrooke.
  22. Sean Freeman's (Andre) real name is Derek Kennedy. Derek? Is this supposed to be a coincidence?
  23. I didn't enjoy today's episode. It's like they got it backwards. Yesterday should've been today.
  24. The pacing, in my opinion, is on point. It must be understood, it's not just about attracting viewers, but it's also about KEEPING them.
  25. In what some accused me of a long long long time ago of fanfic, this was one of my proposals and creations. A non-rich ordinary working black family as counterparts.
