  1. I know the Dobsons wanted Pamela to show up much sooner than she did, too... but NBC and New World objected.
  2. I'm pretty sure by fall of 2015 they completely swapped to new cameras, as Melissa Reeves stated they went to 4K-type cameras, yet, I don't think anyone in post-production has handled the transition well. I've seen it in other productions where new cameras were brought in, and post-production suffered, until lighting was fixed, etc. These are my simple colour-fixes via Photoshop using what Days of Our Lives put out: Current sets look better than others, especially at certain angles. This was February 2021, in the same general position as all but the April 2020 image I posted:
  3. The post-production look of the show; every single time Ken Corday brought on a new executive producer, the quality began to suffer. It's better now than it was... but it is still a poor-looking soap. The cameras they use on the DOOL App would be better-looking than what we have now. February 2012 was their best-looking production-wise, but even 2014 and 2015 look relatively fine.
  4. I completely agree; it is the downturn of Jill Farren Phelps becoming executive producer around this time. Especially since there are a myriad of couples who I believe could have and should have been more focused on than Cruz-Eden, who I see little draw towards. I think anytime one soap forces one particular couple to the forefront, while back burning others, it is a major turn-off. Cruz-Eden may have been popular, but, I do believe front burning their story is what really drove this soap to lose its footing.
  5. Because, around this time, Jill Farren Phelps became executive producer, and she chose to shift the focus on the Cruz-Eden pairing.
  6. Gosh. Imagine what Another World might've been today.
  7. Gosh. Barbara Esenstein & James Harmon Brown were on fire during this time. They took a set up, made by Victor Miller, Michael Conforti, Nancy Williams Watt & Michael Conforti, and turned it into something magical.
  8. Gosh.. after the Jeffrey and Kelly wedding... it becomes a snorefest again. I can see why a regime change happened.
  9. I was gonna ask where to watch episodes, but the behind-the-scenes drama-rama looks interesting enough, ha.
  10. I've been struggling to tune in. Not a lot is grabbing my interest. Plus, the inconsistency of post-production, which has plagued this soap since 2015, is quite annoying, as well.
  11. I don't see Eileen Davidson returning to the wreck Ron Carlivati has written of this character. She wouldn't.
  12. Hoping June 2021 brings the long-awaited news of a brand-new regime at The Young and the Restless.
  13. I think of the TNT continuation of Dallas, which is less of a reboot, but was done so well and so short-lived. Roseanne (and now The Conners).
  14. Charity Rahmer says "Hi!"
  15. Days of Our Lives: C General Hospital: A- The Bold and the Beautiful: F The Young and the Restless: F
  16. It is a double-standard. Men who don't sport hairless, unrealistic six-packs are "fat" and "undesirable," yet they aren't.
  17. Meh. I'd take Roger Howarth over Steve Burton any day of the week.
  18. Will see how it goes when he makes his debut. Just wondering about Sydney now.
  19. Except she didn't, per her own statement.
  20. Yes. The large staircase and major gathering area. I remember reading in Soap Opera Digest when the set premiered how easily and accessible the set was said to be... and then it was slashed. I know. I'm surprised he agreed to return, whether full-time or guest.
  21. I'm pretty sure Roger Howarth is Vince Novak, and Cameron Mathison's role is going to be the one of the person attempting to purchase The Invader.
  22. This is a cute reunion! Telma has not aged a single day since Family Matters.
