Misogyny. Like Francis has said in the past, she was told it didn't matter if she lived or died, because Tony Geary was the whole show. And I think a lot of people, until Frank Valentini came along, saw that as fact. Making Laura the heart of the show, like @AMCHistory said above, has brought some heart back into the soap. She's comfort. She's home. And now she's kicking ass and taking names without Luke, and it's amazing to see her in that element.

In reverse: Steve Burton & Billy Miller were both on The Young and the Restless prior to Miller being cast as Jason Morgan. And then both Tamara Braun & Natalia Livingston were on General Hospital together, and then Braun replaced Livingston as Taylor on Days of Our Lives.

I'd be so happy for Dan Feuerriegel and a few other cast members from Days of Our Lives being poached for General Hospital if I am being honest. Miller would have wonderful chemistry with Dominic Zamprogna and could see her working quite well opposite Genie Francis. Plus, we know Feuerriegel & Miller had some good screen chemistry between them when they shared scenes as EJ and Abigail, respectively.

I've always thought Marci Miller would be casting gold as Lulu if they ever wanted to bring the character back.

I don't recall her ever stating Brenda, but I do know she auditioned as a Lois recast in 2004 prior to Lesli Kay's hiring.

Who knows. Though, Disney-ABC does seem to like neglecting the LGBTQ+ community and acting like it does not openly exist. And I could see Mansi being willing to play that story. I doubt she even wanted to go back to Days of Our Lives. Every single time she's gone back it's been temporary. And like @Darn said, General Hospital is operating like a real television program, not some middle-school play. It's upsetting, yes, because this go 'round, I definitely began liking Lexi Ainsworth in the role, but I have a feeling she hasn't been as openly available to work as she is likely needed to be. The longest stint she's done, since returning, with the D.U.D. storyline and since then she's popped in and out. I liked Lindsey Morgan as Kristina, but I can see why people did not like her. I do think she rocked the hell out of those first few scenes where Mob Princess was unveiled. "Keep it rolling! Did I tell you I was the product of a sleazy one-night stand?!" And Alexis' reaction?
